"Fresh Stack Burger Co. will hold a virtual tour Monday to commemorate its first restaurant opening. Fresh Stack’s owner is burger royalty. Sean Thomas is the grandson of Dave Thomas, the founder of fast-food chain Wendy’s. Expect hand-breaded fried chicken sandwiches, inspired by Nashville hot. The burgers will come from ethically sourced beef. The menu includes a vegan burger, and a patty that’s a mix of beef and veggies called the “Considerate Carnivore.” There’s also a nod to Wendy’s, the “Friescream.” This is a shake for those who love dipping Wendy’s french fries into its frozen dairy treat, the Frosty. It’s ice cream blended with shoestring potatoes. There’s also a full bar, and a four-season patio." - Ashok Selvam

We originally visited Fresh Stack several years ago when they first opened, but never left a review because it was just okay back then. Nothing to write home about, but I also don't like to give overly critical reviews of new establishments. We forgot about it for a bit and decided to try it out again this evening for dinner and we are so glad we did. The burger patties are definitely noticeably bigger and they were perfectly cooked. We also ordered a chicken sandwich to share just to try it out. The chicken was juicy and the breading had good flavor. None of the food was overly salty. We really enjoyed the fries and a large is definitely enough for 2-3 adults to share. The restaurant was very clean and the staff was friendly. We ordered shakes to go after our meal and those were also very solid. Not too thick and not too sweet. We will definitely be back again soon!

Once again, browsing Google maps can be fun especially when you stumble onto a new name that's actually been in the area for over 3 years. Always looking forward to trying a new burger and glad I found this place. Apparently Fresh Stack is one-of-a-kind for the time being and hope it will expand. Kinda scary to know that the Oakbrook location is permanently closed. Hope that's not a sign that this business is dwindling already. If Dave Thomas could do it, I'm sure his grandson Sean Thomas the CEO of this wonderful burger joint can succeed. Burger and food in general here is quite good actually. Gigi's is a great companion attached to FS and Chocolate Shoppe ice cream is some of the best ice cream around. At least you don't have to go far for dessert. Not exactly a close drive and a 25+ miles zig-zag haul from my house in Beach Park. My family and I were in Vernon Hills at the time so I figured an extra 10 miles or so would be worth the try and it was. This place can do battle with the likes of Smashburger, Shake Shack, Five Guys, Epic Burger and other high-end burger competitors. Mr. Thomas, that burger & fries were pretty darn good and I wanna see more of these opening up fast!

Google
This is a cool little burger joint. I took the girls here after my boss suggested it for a quick bite. As you walk in you’re greeted by a huge led menu which was cool they had a bunch of options for burgers and chicken sandwiches. We all got the “American classic” with bacon. And fries. If we didn’t just get boba we definitely would’ve tried the milkshakes because they looked amazing. The staff was friendly they all seemed to be having a good time at work, the place it self was cool too they had a bucket of stickers at the counter for you to pick and stick randomly throughout the restaurant. We were the only table there at the time but it was cool. They served thin shoe string fries which were nice and crispy and my burger was BIG. Both my girls were satisfied overall great experience.

Google
First time eating here and would definitely go back. The place has a sticker bar/walls and the food hit the spot. We all got a burger and fries. Their burger was juicy, it gave in and out or shake shack. Cute spot, impromptu dinner and do recommend!

Google
This place always amazes us with their juicy tender angus beef burgers. Five Guys Burgers should learn a thing or two from this joint humbly & respectfully. We've never been disappointed with the food quality and freshness. The service could be a little more friendly. They take your order like they're done with their lives.

Google
I reeeeally wanted to love this, but alas, the burger patty we had was a grayish gristle ridden flavorless puck. It looked frozen, not freshly made. (The smoky mayo was great.) However, I understand there are challenges (maybe a fresh beef shortage?) with new openings as we had this within their first weeks of operation. The drinks were great 👍 The gentleman they had doing acoustic entertainment was awesome. I hope they get that hamburger patty fixed, because I've had a better burger from the BG Wendy's.

Google
Very nice place! The double cheese burger is my favorite! The staff was super friendly. I had my son with me who’s autistic that day, and they made him feel comfortable when he ordered chicken tenders.

Google
Stopped by, away from our home suburb, always up for new burger joints. My son as and I ordered a smoked burger, and their flocking chicken sandwich splitting both to try. Both very good. My wife ordered a single cheeseburger and so did my daughter...also ordered onion strings, this is where I became confused...they were red onions and not strings more like sizable onion disc, breading fell right off almost all of them. We did not order any drinks , we drank water...but if we did our bill for 4 sandwiches and onion side and 4 drinks would of been 70 bucks, our bill instead was 54.00 kinda pricey in my book . Atmosphere....hhhmm the huge empty bar in front of the seating area was kind of like you were eating in a place that was closing up for the night or for good ....also theres not one picture that I could find of the onion strings anywhere on the menu or on the wall so kinda expected typical onion strings....I would suggest a picture and or a better description on your menu.. Thanks I'm too far to come and try again but if I'm close I'll give it a 2nd shot

Yelp
After passing Fresh Stack a number of times we finally were in the area at a meal time so we stopped in for lunch. The atmosphere is hip with a modern casual feel. The menu is mainly burgers and chicken sandwiches. They also sell ice cream. My husband tried a burger while I tried the basic fried chicken sandwich. We shared a large fries. The fries were matchstick cut which I don't love. My husband thought the burger was good. My chicken sandwich was okay. The breading was unseasoned and the pickles and slaw didn't make up for the missing flavor. We agreed that while the food was fine if we are going to clog our arteries there are other chicken sandwiches and burgers we'd rather eat. The service was quick and friendly.

Yelp
Yummy food, tipped on dine in no delivery and no thank you . Good sweet potato vegan burger avocado, lettuce, tomato onion, pretty tasty 1880 for a burger, fries and tip. I just don't understand when you tip someone or you walk away after they serve you I think always thank you it's necessary turn only that they don't even serve the food to you. So just ordered one more to go tipped different guy guess they just don't say thank you. Want to give benefit of the doubt but wtf. Sorry manners are important .

Yelp
The burgers at Fresh Stack are delicious. Every bite is a burst of flavor and juiciness. The variety of toppings and aïoli's, and unique combinations make each burger a delight. Now, let's talk about Gigi's ice cream. It's a sweet paradise inside Fresh Stack. Their ice cream is a true work of art. Creamy, rich, and with a wide range of flavors that cater to every taste preference. I can't decide which flavor is my favorite; they're all fantastic! The perfect way to finish a delicious burger meal. The ambiance is charming and inviting, and the staff is friendly. Whether you're dining in or taking your food to go, Fresh Stack and Gigi's will leave you craving for more.

Yelp
Fresh Stack is now out of business. When it opened, it was good, but it deteriorated in a short amount of time. Seems like as soon as they converted the bar into an ice cream shop, the place collapsed. I don't know the reason behind the conversion but I think they lost a good amount of patrons in the process. I visited the restaurant 3 weeks ago and was not happy with the inside. The place was dirty (tables, seats and general common areas), the staff seemed low energy and the food was lukewarm. They had a variety of lighting that didn't go together...almost like they started a remodel/rebrand and gave up. The ice cream area looked forgotten. The coolers were on but garbage, excess furniture and plates were piled up all along the counter. No one was working in that section. The fountain machine was dirty and had several choices unavailable. The food tasted good other than not being too hot. Fries were done well and had a good crispiness to them. I am a bit saddened that this place failed as it was good and somewhat unique in the area. Interested to see what takes over the space.

Yelp
FIrst time coming here delicious double cheeseburger, sweet potato fries, and the cheese curds were delicious with the dill ranch dip. there is even a cute ice cream shop inside called gigis..definitely will be back again.

Yelp
We visited Fresh Stack for dinner while out and about holiday shopping. The restaurant is located in a strip of stores, so there are plenty of parking spots available. When we walked in there was a huge menu for us to look through. There are two businesses in one, fresh stack and a ice cream/milkshake shop! You can order for both at the same time. To order, you just walk up to the counter, and they will give you a number to place on your table and will bring the food out to you. My husband and I decided to split a burger, and chicken sandwich to be able to try both options, and shared some cheese curds. The cheese curds were incredible! The chicken sandwich we had was the special of the season and it was massive. I loved this sandwich! For the burger we got the Backyard Stack, this was a bit too spicy for me to enjoy but the burger had cheese, caramelized onion, pickled jalapeños, and garlic aioli. My husband loved it so it was the perfect trade off, haha. The fries were like shoestring fries - I typically prefer thicker fries, but for them being thinner they were crispy and hot! For our milkshakes, I got the Elvis, it had peanut butter, a waffle, chocolate, cookie dough chunks and more, and my husband got the Fruity Pebbles one which tasted just like cereal milk once you've eaten all of the sugar ice cream. Super yum! All in all we had a great time, and are looking forward to trying other things soon!

Yelp
I was in the area for a personal reason and had a B1G1 code for a free burger. (Funny, but online they advertise to get the coupon but show a CHICKEN sandwich. I asked for a chicken, but they denied that request). The counter help was friendly, and the joint was quite busy and clean. I was heading back to the city, so my order was to-go. I ordered a Deluxe Stack and took the free one as the same. Some of their sandwiches did not appeal to me. I TRULY would have liked to try their chicken sandwich, though. No dice. The fries were thin, hot, and super crispy. Full of flavor. They did not survive the first 1/4 of the way home. Wishing I had gotten a large; they were THAT good. The fries were cooked in canola oil for anyone with a peanut allergy. The burgers were good, and the brioche bun was excellent and fresh. The onion was TOOOOOO strong and off-putting. Not sure what kind they used, but maybe dial it back a bit on those, or switch to a more palatable kind. PLUS, NO SESAME SEEDS on the buns. Such a high allergen; I am still amazed at places that opt for seeded buns as if they add any real depth to a sandwich. Their "Secret Sauce" was okay. All was fresh, sandwich large, but still did not hit a home run with me. Not a bad place to try, and as I always say, my experience or my likes/dislikes may not match yours. As of last week, they were offering some kind of sign-up for a B1G1. I got mine via social media when the ad popped up. Maybe call them and ask so you can get a deal to try it too. Overall a 4/5 star experience. Leave me a note and tell me about your experience at Fresh Stack in Kildeer.

Yelp
I went here for the first time because this restaurant was gracious enough to advertise on Facebook "buy one get one free burger"." This is a smaller restaurant near outdoor shopping mall near Lands End with ample parking and nicely decorated for a fast food place. This place was packed which is good to see! There are a few choices of burgers, chicken, and a meatless option. I ordered the cheeseburger that came with American cheese. The burger patty is about 1/3 lb. I found the bun to be dry but the burger was somewhat tender. My friend order the backyard burger that had various ingredients, including jalapeños and onion straws etc and my friend liked it. The cheese curds were the best part of the meal and were fantastic for $3.99! The hot chocolate was very good too. This is definitely a step up from a fast food burger place. There are a lot of choices to choose from, and I will be back if I want something more casual. I again appreciate the graciousness of this company to give out free burgers! I give this place 3.5 stars.

Yelp
I really wanted a good burger today. I didn't get it. i thought I was heading to another place I'd been where I remembered having a better-than-decent burger, but by error (or maliciousness of Waze), I ended up at F Stack. The burger itself was pretty tasteless, and the melted cheese and grilled onions just made the thing too messy. (No tableware in sight if I wanted to slice the burger for neater handling) Messy & Mediocre. Add to the mix a flat soda, loud and irritating music, and booth-backs that seemed about to collapse when leant upon. The shoestring potatoes were fine. All in all a waste of calories.

Karyn S.

Yelp
I got a Black and Blue Burger (one patty) , a small/regular fry, and a small/regular drink. This was my first visit to Fresh Stack, and I was shocked that my total was $16. I love blue cheese on burgers, so I figured it would be an amazing burger and the cost would make sense. The fries were shoestring (not my favorite), but the issue is that they were incredibly salty. I had to actively shake/wipe salt off any that I wanted to eat. The burger had the fun flavors.... But it was just profoundly disappointing. The flavors were not well balanced and I felt like the most prominent flavor I got was bun with a hint of blue cheese second. Definitely not coming back for these prices.

Kate S.

Yelp
Try their chicken sandwiches! I know, I know- it is called Fresh Stack Burger- but their chicken sandwiches are great! The Coop is a generous size crispy chicken piece with yummy coleslaw. It is one of my favorite chicken sandwiches out there!

Ally N.

Yelp
please open back up cant live without those onions wrings and honey mustard was sobbing in my car when i saw nobody in there but i just wanted a burger this is the worst thing you could do i never knew you would stoop so low

Sherwin C.

Yelp
Got some drive-thru from here and thought the food was alright. The prices are a bit higher than what you'd expect from a fast casual restaurant but the ingredient quality is a bit higher than normal as well. I wasn't super impressed by the items I tried, but I also have to give them the benefit of the doubt as the food temperature wasn't as good as if I'd just eaten it immediately. Here are some of my thoughts: Backyard stack - The beef was cooked well though the combination of the pickled jalapeno and caramelized onion didn't punch through as strongly as I would've expected. The fried onion strings and house sauce dominated the flavor for me and made me almost think this was a variation on the Big Mac. The brioche bun was nice and fluffy. Grilled chicken - Very generous sized chicken breast with fresh tomato and lettuce. The rooster sauce wasn't too flavorful for me, but this definitely tasted like a lighter, healthier version of the sandwich. Sweet potato fries - Not super flavorful or crisp, possibly because it took too long to get the carryout. Creamy cheddar mac & cheese - Tender noodles in a thick and flavorful white cheddar sauce, though slightly too thick of a consistency for me. Overall, I'd like to try this again when I can dine in as the ingredient quality is good and it probably tastes better fresh.

Tricia H.

Yelp
So good for a quick burger and love when they offer lettuce wraps! Delicious. I'd go back!

Betsy B.

Yelp
Didn't know what to expect but we stopped in and I thought the place was really cute inside and we loved the burger, fry, and shake we got. A little pricier than other places but delicious.

Mary B.

Yelp
Been wanting to try this place. I'm glad I finally did. Burgers are very good. My son had a Deep South chicken sandwich. Very tasty and a lot of food. More for your money than other local hamburger places. Love the fries!! They are shoestring with a little seasoning. You order and then puck up your own food so it is quick. Very nice decor. Free refills on drinks. Will definitely be going back.

Ruzan B.

Yelp
We recently went there at dinner time and came out with an extremely disappointing experience. I had very high expectations from this place, and was so excited to have a shake shack like burger joint closer to us. We ordered the Deep South and a Bacon Burger. Got a couple of sides. Disappointment 1 - the supposedly red hot spicy looking chicken sandwich in reality was just a fried chicken fillet with some spice sprinkled. Asked why it looked different from the picture on the menu, I was conveniently told that they'd changed the way they seasoned it. Previously they doused it into the seasoning, which used to make it soggy Disappointment 2 - fries with grilled onions and cheese. I literally thought they were mimicking In N Outs animal fries. Wrong! A huge portion with semi fried onions and cheese sauce. Awful. Fries tasted like were fried in old reused oil. Disappointment 3 - string onions. What a waste. Drenched with oil, soggy, barely any coating and drenched with oil. Absolutely Burger was meh but okay compared to the rest - edible. We literally disposed off the sides and left. Never ever stepping foot in there.

Sarah Joy -.

Yelp
Food was great! Onion strips is a must try! Very much recommended, their strawberry smoothie was great too!

Jeff N.

Yelp
4 adults and 2 kids Each of us tried something different and each of us loved our burgers. Lots of variety on the menu. Upbeat decor. Patio, drive up, bar area. Lots of friendly helpful staff. "Fries before guys" is the sign in the ladies restroom that my daughter loved. Worthy of a solid 5!

Christine D.

Yelp
The burger was not seasoned at all, onion strings were greater than half an inch in width barely coated, so just grease, inedible, and any other side was sold out. Should have gone to Culver's.

Annette B.

Yelp
This place was alright. The burger and fries tasted pretty average to me. The staff here were nice, though, and the meal was made to order.

Deon O.

Yelp
I've been looking for a good burger besides the usual spots. Decided to try this based on the reviews. I was sadly disappointed. The bun wasn't very pillowy like a good bun should be. The burger patty lacked flavor. We got the Smoke Stack and Backyard Stack and split them. Very underwhelming in flavor and substance. The cheese was barely melted and the bacon was cold. So overall the whole burger tasted cold even though I know they make it fresh. I realize that the pictures they promote aren't going to look exactly like what you get but wow, what a difference and total misrepresentation based on my photos attached. The fries were fine but shoestring fries don't really do it for me. Overall it was a pretty mid burger and I can find way better elsewhere.

Brian S.

Yelp
I've always driven past Fresh Stack Burger and the marketing team that designed the Logo and Signage did a great job. Unfortunately the Burgers and Fries do not do the justice for this restaurant Ordered the American Double Classic, a side of fries and a drink. Total came up close to $18 dollars The Burger came out sorta cold when I received it, like it was sitting out for a while The fries were good, very similar to Steak and Shake Overall I just don't know who wants to pay such a premium for this burger when there are other great restaurants where you can get it for much less

Peter Q.

Yelp
Going to quadruple down here. We definitely don't stop by enough. Per my 12 year old, "definitely better than chick-Fil-a and Popeyes" and trust me, we LOVE chick Fil a. The grilled chicken is just awesome and the habanero sauce they have on side in restaurant is just my jam. Thanks guys! Keep it up! Glad to see a second location!

Judith L.

Yelp
Great looking menu plus ice cream and shakes. Try the black and blue burger, it's Delish!!!

Ricardo K.

Yelp
Another burger joint, but with alcohol. Weekday lunch combo (11-4pm) will set you back $13.50 American Classic Burger or a Classic Coop Regular Fries & 16oz (fountain) drink. Burger was OK, patty with cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle and thousand island dressing. No drive through at this location.

Hersh A.

Yelp
I did a lunch carry-out from here recently for the first time. I learned about Fresh Stack Burger through a post on Instagram just shortly before they opened for the first time. I had liked what I saw/ read so decided to finally check them out. I placed an order from myself and my wife over the phone for curbside pick-up. They have a nice variety of items on their menu and the food is reasonably priced. I ordered their American Classic burger (All American Beef, American Cheese, Lettuce, Tomato, Pickle, Onion, House Sauce, Brioche Bun) for myself and the Classic Coop (Hand-breaded Crispy Fried Chicken, Pickles, Coleslaw, Rooster Sauce, Brioche Bun) for my wife. I also ordered their Creamy Cheddar Mac n Cheese (Macaroni smothered in creamy white Wisconsin cheddar cheese sauce) as it sounded appealing. I was informed that my ordered would be ready in about 10 - 12 mins. and when I got their 15 mins after placing the order, we received our food promptly while waiting at their curbside pick-up area. I received good service. Now, about the food... ...my wife enjoyed her Classic Coop fried chicken sandwich. It was a big sandwich and its taste was to her liking. The chicken had a good crunch on the outside and it was juicy. The pickles and coleslaw along with the Rooster sauce (which I didn't remember to ask while ordering what it was) complemented the fried chicken pretty good according to my wife. I tried some of her sandwich and liked it. I agreed w/ her assessment of the Classic Coop except that I wanted a lot of heat. It needed to be spicy. I really felt the urge to have Crystal, Texas Pete or similar hot sauces on that sandwich. I know Fresh Stack has their version of Nashville Hot (which I hope to try next time I go there) but I don't mean that level of spiciness (b/c my wife can't tolerate such heat). My All American burger was bigger than I had expected. Although, the beef patty was thin it wasn't thin like Steak n Shake or Freddy's. It was slightly thicker than those two places I mentioned of but more so, it was big in terms of its width. Not knowing this before hand, I had ordered a double patty burger (thinking that the single would be similar to Steak n Shake or Freddy's). I was wrong and I kind of struggled to finish my burger... lol... because it was quite filling. I liked my burger for the most part. Everything about it was good expect that I found the taste of the beef patties to be bland. To me, the beef patties lacked salt and some seasoning. The patties were cooked to my liking. But I was surprised about the bland taste to be honest because everything else about the burger was on point. Even though I was stuffing myself (b/c double patty), in every bite I couldn't help wonder why their was a lack of flavor in the meat. Also, surprisingly, the Creamy Mac n Cheese didn't live up to our expectations. My wife is big on Mac n Cheese and she has had her fair share of them growing up. So when she also said that the mac n cheese wasn't to her liking either, I wasn't second guessing myself. Something about its taste just didn't sit well with us. Anyway, I liked my visit overall. I would still go back and try other items from their menu. It may not be as frequently as I would normally go but I'd still go back. I gave it four stars as an overall rating for menu variety, reasonable prices, good service and decent tasting food. If just rating on food that we got then I would give them three stars. Check this place out if you haven't been here before.

Ron W.

Yelp
Yum. They don't lie... it tasted fresh. I enjoyed the meal. The fries were hot which is a huge plus in my humble opinion. My wife loved their onion straws. I enjoyed the cheeseburger though I thought it was a bit dry. If I lived here I'd be back and try more options. A solid 4 stars.

Julian B.

Yelp
Went here today, ordered a grilled chicken sandwhich that came out looking like a baked chicken breast with laurys seasoning. Very unfortunate and I had high hopes for here. Especially paying over $30 for just two people, I don't mind paying a high premium but for quality. This was like something I could have easily made at home. Also the non stop country music. Not everyone wants to listen to country music, please play something in the middle for all.

Tracie D.

Yelp
Bucket full of stickers....friendly staff Amazing food and shakes

Jon B.

Yelp
Okay food. Service is okay, just a fast food joint. Don't expect anything beyond fast food.

Aiden A.

Yelp
The milk shake was good and the service was really good to I greatly recommend. Tasted really good.

Stella W.

Yelp
It is a good burger, milkshake place! Nice spacious patios! The ingredients tasted fresh! If you like thin smash burger patties, this is a good alternative! A bit pricy for a double quarter pounders.

Susanna L.

Yelp
I rarely leave Yelp reviews, so you can trust that when I do leave a review, I am impressed. Went here with some friends on a Sat afternoon for a little trip away from the City. I tried the Smoke Stack burger with fries and onion strings, and I didn't leave a single bite. My friends got the cheeseburger, fries, Mac and cheese, and a vanilla milkshake. They were just as pleased as I was! The atmosphere was adorable - casual enough for the family, but also cute enough to grab a bite on a date. (Note: this is not a fast food joint!) The crowd was a good mix of families and adults. There is an outdoor patio with live music that is perfect for the warmer temps. Plenty of parking. Lots of shops nearby if you just want to run in and grab a bite while running errands or a little retail therapy. The staff was super attentive and great. I'll be back soon!

Colin M.

Yelp
We ordered a variety of burgers and sides to try this place out. The quality is great on everything. Burgers are well constructed from great ingredients. My fave side by a mile is the onion strings. We look forward to trying this place eat in once it is an option.

Jay J.

Yelp
Very delicious food and great customer service by Nico! Love the decorations and design of the restaurant as well!

Douglas E.

Yelp
Tried Fresh Stack today because of 2 for 1 coupon. Burger was good, freshly made but could have been hotter. Wish they had Merkt's cheddar. Good value.

Eliana H.

Yelp
Wonderful milkshakes. Wonderful service. Gino makes the best milkshakes. ......................... Good burger

Corey K.

Yelp
We love this place. The burgers are great. we come all the way from Deerfield. A double is actually huge. I had it today and couldn't finish half. We also love the shoestring fries. Probably our 10th time here and will be back. the best part is they offer a teachers discount.

William S.

Yelp
Amaazing food! The whole experience from start to finish is great waitress is always so friendly and kind. The food can't get better and the prices are fair for the portion size. Always a great spot to get great food.

Chris G.

Yelp
Overpriced & quit ordinary. This is overpriced fast food looking for anyone that is unsuspecting. Burger, fries and coke is $20.00. Chicken sandwich is $10.00, chicken sandwich called DEEP SOUTH, was just a chicken sandwich with mayo, no flavor. French fries were cold, thin cut & rancid. Food took too long to prepare & serve and staff was over worked & stressed out, she kept looking over her shoulder over & over & over & over for people walking in while dropping my food to assist them at the front counter. Server not able to focus. Will never return.

Jason R.

Yelp
Great service very clean inside amazing hamburgers I was really blown away getting my burger, I'm a real burger fan & for a 'fast food burger' this is one of my all time favorites, my family said the same thing and we will definitely be back again soon

Brittany W.

Yelp
Went to fresh stack to grab a burger and fries. Prior to the person taking my order he touched multiple surfaces took my money without washing his hands. He proceeded to put on gloves to prepare my food and removed one glove during the process to pick up cheese to place on the burgers. I told him about how unsafe that was and that he didn't wash his hands. He claimed he did prior to me entering the restaurant. Do not go here if you want an unsafe meal. I said it was disgusting what he did and his reply was 'OK'.

Bob A.

Yelp
I do not like to post negative reviews, it's not fair to the owners, but they must be notified. I ordered the double black and blue burger, the meat patties were dry and tasted like card board. I was expecting juicy like the owners grand fathers tradition. This may be a cook issue. The wife's spicy chicken was cold, she brought it home, warmed it in the microwave and was very good. Other than that, the malt and onion strings were very tasty. I'm not sure if we will return for a second visit at this time in the near future. A previous post says she ordered the single black & blue, and there was a hint of blue cheese, I agree, nowhere like the picture that was shown.

Yelp
Their food is great and i really recommend trying this restaurant. Their service is pretty good they are very kind to their customers. The inside is so clean and very well decorated and makes you feel more comfortable eating here:)

We've been to Fresh Stack a few times and the name really says it all. Fresh, upscale "fast food" with very good burgers and (maybe even better) chicken sandwiches. The shoestring fries and shakes are excellent as well. The concept is really interesting as there's a small bar upfront but with a very casual, family-friendly atmosphere. It's technically a chain, and feels like one. But in this case, I think they could use several more locations in the area. Hoping they expand and are able to maintain that high level of consistency.

Yelp
I was quite disappointed by their veggie burger. It was bland, seemed undercooked. The fries were very blah. We ordered delivery, so we're stone cold by the time they arrived. When I asked what do they use to cook their fries- the guy on the phone said "substitute butter". I don't know what that is. Not ordering again

Yelp
Stopped here for lunch and I was glad I did! Although I don't give 5 stars to a counter service restaurant, my experience resulted in a solid 4! I got the big flock spicy chicken sandwich and fries. Both were really good. Better than Popeyes (and also pricier), but the best part were the fries. They are thin, but not too crunchy. Unlimited fountain drinks, but only one option for sugar free.

Yelp
We stopped here in for burgers based on a friends recommendation, in between hockey games. It was delicious! The burgers are huge and not too greasy! The fries are seasoned just right and punched a big flavor. The onion straws were just the right amount of onion and batter. The shakes are super thick and amazing. They also had all the sports on the TVs and had a bar w beer! Would definitely visit again if in the area!
