"Freshie’s started with humble beginnings at the Park Silly farmers market in Park City, but over time expanded into a food truck and brick-and-mortar operation with locations in Park City and downtown Salt Lake. Owner Lorin Smaha grew up in Lebanon, New Hampshire, where she developed a love of lobster, before marrying a fellow New Englander who shares the passion. The business focuses on sustainable, fresh lobster shipped from Maine daily, living up to the motto “from shore to door in 24,” and the menu features the main ingredient in various formats, including rolls, sliders, lettuce cups, and bisque. In 2017, Freshie’s took home the prize for world’s best lobster roll at the Down East Lobster Roll Festival in Maine, beating many local competitors and sending shockwaves throughout the crustacean community." - Sarah Entwistle

"Landlocked Salt Lake City is the last place you’d expect to find an amazing lobster roll, but in the underdog upset of the century, Freshie’s actually beat out Maine’s favorites to be crowned lobster king a few years back. Today, Freshie’s is still serving up excellent seafood at its fast-casual Salt Lake City location. Every roll contains tail, knuckle, and claw meat served with hot butter, chives, lemon, and mayo on a New England hot dog bun. Expect a surcharge for Maine lobster in the mountains—a small roll is $15, while their bigger option is $27—but know it’s absolutely worth it." - Jenny Willden

Google
Freshies is a great place for a flavorful lobster roll. I love the style of lobster roll that they offer... the bread and lobster chunks are slathered in warm butter. Couldn't ask for a better roll! I also ordered the lobster bisque and slaw. My buddy ordered the clam chowder, I think I prefer that one over the bisque. The slaw was unique in its own way. It's different than the standard stuff. I really liked it! The service was good and the food came out quickly. Couldn't ask for a better evening!

Google
The lobster was very fresh. The burrata salad was fresh, which I ordered because I'm keto friendly at the moment, but I believe the dressing had sugar in it as it's quite sweet. The dressing was very good through. The lobster lettuce cups had more spice than I was expecting, but there are peppers in it that you can set aside if it's too much spice. The clam chowder was really watery, and I wouldn't recommend it or order it. It's also a cup and not a bowl, so I don't think it's a good value. The water machine is nice. No ice, but it's very cold. It's comfortable enough and it wasn't too crowded when we arrived. The staff was nice. I didn't realize they were closing because we were deep in conversation, but they didn't push us out. I don't love eating off a silver pan lined with paper. I would prefer a plate. That makes it feel low-end for me; it's just not my style at all - especially for the price. I'm sure they wash them, but my OCD in the back of my mind always wonders if they wash them 😃 We spend over $90, without drinks, for one salad, one soup, one 5 oz lobster roll, one 2.5 oz lobster lettuce cups.

Google
What an incredible find! Delightful lobster rolls in land locked Utah? YES! Restaurant is quaint and clean on 900 South with a small parking lot behind the building. Lobster bisque is delicious and packed with lumps of tender, sweet meat. The roll is loaded with warm, buttery, perfectly seasoned meat. We’ve had our share of lobster in the northeast region of the U.S. and these are better. No lie. We need to branch out and try some other items on the menu, but the lobster rolls always speak to me. There is a location in Park City as well and a food truck that travels around (how we initially found this place.) Go to any location, but GO! You’re welcome.

Google
We love Freshie’s. The lobster roll is superb but so are the crab roll and lobster cups. The chicken sandwich and caprese sandwich are delicious. It’s very casual but the chairs are super comfortable. There is an outside elevator that makes it easy for my 101 year old father to get in. We always have great service and it was particularly good when we were there earlier this week. I have a friend in Seattle who always stops for a lobster roll when she comes into town on her way to Provo. It’s her happy place.

Google
This place was as tasty as I had hoped for! It exceeded my expectations as far as taste. The environment of the place is really great—it’s open, bright, and clean. The worker who helped me out was nice and helpful when I asked for his suggestion. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star was because of the portion size for the price. It came out to $36 for the 5oz. I get that we’re in Utah so it’s imported and seafood doesn’t stay good for long which makes it more expensive but it wasn’t very filling. If you’re going in with those expectations and you aren’t as stingy as me, I highly recommend it!

Google
Best lobster 🦞 roll ever located at Salt Lake City, Utah. delicious, juice, %100 % recommended, cozy place, love it!

Grace Chamberlain

Google
I would give 4 stars for how pricey it is- but the rolls we had were so good that it’s impossible to put anything less than 5 stars. Some of the best seafood I’ve ever tried in Utah.

Google
Best lobster roll I've ever had. No reason to travel to maine with lobster rolls this good here.

Janie D.

Yelp
Fresh Maine lobster, in Salt Lake City. Freshies is a casual restaurant who has their lobster flown in daily from Maine. It is never frozen. Their menu is concise, including lobster rolls, crab rolls, and a variety of side dishes. They also serve soda, potato chips, and whoopie pies, all from Maine companies. My husband and I came here for lunch. Our total was $120 with tax/tip, which seems expensive, but the quality was there. It would have been significantly more at a chain with a similar quality of seafood like Luke's Lobster. The Lobster Sliders were tasty, but too much bread; stick to the Lobster Roll, and get the big one. You will not regret it. The lobster was fresh, tender, buttery. Freshies does a style that is somewhere between a Connecticut and Maine style, with butter AND mayo. It was decadent and certainly on par with lobster rolls I've had in Maine. The Crab Roll was the sleeper hit. I may have liked it even more than the lobster, which are crazy words coming from me. It tasted incredibly fresh, and the natural flavors were outstanding. The brand of Whoopie Pies they carry is legit as well. Friendly staff, great lunch. I am glad Freshies exists.

Yelp
This lobster roll was absolutely delicious!! They did not skimp out on lobster meat- both of us ordered the 4 oz and our rolls were stuffed with nice big chunks of meat. The bread was perfectly toasted and the meat was seasoned deliciously. There was a hint of lemon that complimented the buttery lobster meat perfectly. Cute decor inside and out. The restaurant is located on a cool street with other fun and unique shops up and down the street. TLDR: Must try lobster roll!!

Shannon Y.

Yelp
I love this place. A bit pricy but worth it. Comes with a ton of lobster meat. Tastiest lobster roll ever!

Sabrina L.

Yelp
Great quality seafood rolls! I got the crab roll and it was very fresh and well seasoned. The service is really friendly and had cute interior decor.

S B.

Yelp
Great customer service and the food was amazing. Definitely worth paying for them to transport fresh ingredients. Highly recommend.

Michael P.

Yelp
It just wasn't worth it. The clam chowder was probably about a four or 5 ounce serving and the bread (which was extra) looked as if they had taken 1/2 slice of sourdough bread and cut it into bite-size pieces. My friend who ordered the $33 lobster roll with what looked like a very small portion of lays potato chips... He loved the flavor and the freshness. But for me, there's better value somewhere else.

Nicholas W.

Yelp
Really not much to say. It's really good. There's a couple other "Lobster Roll" places in SLC that are just a little cheaper, but they all skimp out on how much Lobster they fill the insides of their bread roll. Freshies isn't afraid to fill it till the meat chunks roll off with every bite. It's straight lobster-buttery goodness. To be honest, I forgot to snap a picture because of how delicious it looked. I had to take a bite immediately. Their original location in Park City is a little hole in the wall with little space for seating. In comparison, their SLC location near Liberty Park is very large. Lots of chairs and tables for large parties. Well decorated with a Maine Bar Harbor light blue and white theme. It's expensive. It's $33 for a 5 oz roll. I'm sure you can get a full service meal at a nice restaurant somewhere for the same price as two Freshies' Lobster Rolls. It tastes extraordinary and you'll feel satisfied with the purchase. It's tasty and delicious, but you'll certainly wonder what other really tasty food you could have bought instead for its price.

Dawn K.

Yelp
Dare I say this is better then the Park City location??! Yes, I dare. I don't know if it's because it's been a minute since I had their lobster roll, but OH MY Goodness! These are some of the best!! We all got a large roll, the bun is perfectly grilled, the meat is so tender and delicious with that butter and hint of mayo. I'm telling you, yes they're expensive, but to me, it's worth every penny. We got the Maine-iac salad, clam chowder, and lobster bisque. Salad is bonkers good, chowder is the best around and the bisque is as good as it gets!! Beautiful bright space, and the friendliest staff! Go here!

Anna S.

Yelp
I finally visited this place, and I'm thrilled I did. The staff was friendly, and the Maine vibes added to the experience. The lobster roll stole the show--it was delicious, it's my favorite way to eat lobster. Although you have to eat it quickly as the bread tends to get soggy fast. The clam chowder was delightful, with a potato bites and subtle hints of oregano and lemon. The portion sizes were perfect in my opinion, and I'd definitely return when craving lobster. Unfortunately, they were out of lobster mac and cheese the night I went, but I'd love to try it sometime in the future.

Callie W.

Yelp
The food was fantastic, it's hard to find good seafood in Utah! The service was super fast and simple. Over all it was quick, filling, and delicious meal!

Lacey N.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious best lobster roll in town.Really expensive but worth every bite. Friendly, clean and nicely put together.

Alex G.

Yelp
This right here is the best lobster roll anywhere...... Okay.... That might be an exaggeration. I'm sure Maine has some amazing ones. But I'd say this is the best west of the Mississippi for sure. Great prices for a large amount of fantastic quality lobster.

Alan H.

Yelp
Freshies Lobster! Thank goodness for you! For those of us who grew up in New England but are now living out West, you are a godsend. We started enjoying Freshies at their food truck up in Park City during Park Silly weekends. It was so good then and we spread the word to everyone we knew who loved seafood and specifically lobster rolls. "Lobster Rolls in Utah???" they'd say? "Hell yes" I'd say "And every bit as good as you get back in Maine/Massachusetts!" They then opened a brick and mortar in Park City and we started going there whenever we were in town. Now that there is a location in downtown SLC, we are there more than I should admit, but it's hard to resist. Their lobster rolls are just fantastic and served in the same way that you would get them in New England. Fresh buttery lobster on a legit lobster roll specific bread and a side of chips. Their clam chowdah is fresh and creamy and full of clams... delicious. The restaurant itself is designed well with plenty of seating and a small condiment bar, with a cold water dispenser in the rear. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is the price. It's very expensive and I know it is due to the cost of the shipping and labor of preparing such fresh lobster, but it does prevent us from visiting more that we would. It's pricey, but still worth it! Aside from the prices, this is an amazing place to check out and one of the only places to get a true lobster roll way out west! Check them out!!

David E.

Yelp
Freshies is known for their lobster rolls and one of the people that I went with really wanted a lobster roll. Location is very nice. It is in an area of SLC where multiple businesses are in building that look like homes. It is a cute area of town. The inside of the restaurant was nice and clean too. The food came out pretty quick too. The lobster roll was good, but was pricey. I got the small lobster roll and a bottled soda and my total was about $30. Came with kettle chips. My coworkers all said that they really enjoyed their meals.

Ben M.

Yelp
Lobster was good except for a couple bites that had shells. It overpriced but still good.

Jen S.

Yelp
Great spot for lunch, good vibe and able to work in here if needed. Lots of seating. Lobster bisque was so delish, came out piping hot and extra lobster meat was added. The grilled cheese was also very good and the spicy aioli was just right. And those chips, dang, can't eat just one! Haha. Service was quick even though he was only one working and friendly. Parking in back and street parking if you can find it. Freshies is located in a great neighborhood with a lot going on.

Travis B.

Yelp
Fantastic Lobster Roll. I have been torn on a review because it's honestly a place I probably won't go back to again. No fault of theirs and the food was amazing, I just get sticker shock over some seafood, lobster being one of them. I would encourage everyone to eat here at least once. For me, I will file it under the "expense account lunch" where I can take guests from out of town for something really special. My experience can be boiled down to a great scene in Pulp Fiction: Mia: [sips milkshake] Mm. Yummy. Vincent: Think I could have a sip of that? Mia: [slides milkshake over to Vincent] Be my guest. Vincent: I gotta know what a five dollar shake tastes like. Vincent takes a sip. Then another. Vincent: Goddamn, that's a pretty f&^%ing good milkshake. Mia: Told ya'. Vincent: Don't know if it's worth five dollars, but it's pretty good.

Marta E.

Yelp
This was my first time having a lobster roll so take this with a grain of salt. It was good but the price to how good it was ratio just wasn't worth it for me. The lobster bisque was basically just cream and a lobster claw so I wouldn't get it again. Overall worth it to try once.

Andrew G.

Yelp
Despite the extremely high prices, I actually really like this place. I think the vibe is very fun and east-coast-esque, hard to do considering we're in utah but I think they do a great job. The food is great, it costs extra to get a substantial sized lobster role but if you're only coming here once in a while I feel like its worth it. A hidden find was actually the grilled cheese (hidden in the sense that you don't come to a lobster roll joint to get a grilled cheese), but it was just as good as the lobster roll was. The lobster is so tender and comes with a lot of butter, came on a great roll that was super light and fluffy.

Maria M.

Yelp
We went here when friends were on vacation here in SLC. The lobster roll was tasty and fresh and the bread reminded me of my mom's grilled cheese. It was buttery and made with regular bread. The waiter was accommodating and offered all of my friends a water cup. The lobby was very cute and modern. Definitely a must try if you like seafood.

Laila R.

Yelp
The most loaded lobster rolls I've ever eaten! I ordered the XL and it was so worth it I was afraid I was still going to be hungry , but it was large and served with chips on the side. The clam chowder was also really good. I ordered a glass of wine and the pour was really low, so maybe stick to a beer or bottled drink

Joanne V.

Yelp
If you're looking for fresh lobster rolls in salt lake, freshies is the place to go! We ordered an XL lobster roll and lobster bisque for 2 and it was perfectly satisfying. The XL roll had huge chunks of lobster and was packed since it was described to have 5 oz of lobster. The lobster had great flavor and wasn't overly buttery. The bread roll itself was perfectly buttery and toasted with a great dollop of mayo that tied it all together. The bisque was slightly thick but still very good. There were 2 big pieces of lobster in there. The service itself was really good. The person who we assume is the owner or manager came up to us multiple times to make sure we were doing well. He also gave us extra buttery corn sides! Highly recommend this restaurant.

Krishna Bhavithavya K.

Yelp
Ordered a lobster roll for lunch. It did not disappoint. One of the best lobster rolls I had. The flavor, portion, bun and the butter everything was great. The service was a bit slow. There is construction going on the road so no place to park in front of the restaurant. Just be mindful. Overall a great place to get lobster.

Tony B.

Yelp
We had lunch. The lobster rolls were excellent. Main lobster is the best. Prepped and shipped. Great choice for a casual meal

Michelle C.

Yelp
I went when the AC was out, and I am impressed. This was the best Lobster roll I've ever had...it beats the one I had in Maryland this year. Perfectly buttery roll topped with perfection. Highly recommend! Service was fast and friendly considering how hot it was without AC. There is parking in the back so don't let the lack of street parking discourage you.

Corynn B.

Yelp
A vegetarian writing a review about a lobster restaurant? Who is she?! I brought my mom here when she was visiting over the summer. We're from the Northeast and my mom loves lobster and we decided to stop by Freshies to see how it compares. My mom LOVED her lobster roll, she said it was delicious. I'm sure most people know this, but Freshies flies their lobster in fresh from Maine every single day. I obviously didn't partake in the lobster roll as a vegetarian, but it's their caprese sandwich that I can't stop thinking about! Their bread was buttery, flakey, soft, and delicious. I've thought of it at least once a week since I got it. You can't typically go wrong with a caprese - mozzarella, spinach, pesto, and tomatoes?! The perfect combination. But the bread, wow, the bread really stole the show. I'll come back just for this sandwich alone.

Jacie D.

Yelp
Probably one of the best mac and cheese dishes I have ever had! It was very creamy and flavorful. I also got the lobster roll. I have never had a lobster roll before, but I don't think I needed to have tried one before to know that this one was great quality. If I were to come again I would probably get the lobster mac and cheese again or try something else on their menu because a lot of it looked yummy.

Jackie W.

Yelp
My brother and his wife loved the mac & cheese, I tasted it. Yes, it was truly delicious! We Highly recommend it, but I had the sliders as my own lunch and it had a little bit of lobster and a lot of mayonnaise. Other than that everything was delicious!

Lina L.

Yelp
Tell me why I paid 13 dollars for this crap. After having such nasty food I asked for a refund and they wouldn't issue me the refund after feeding me this disgusting 12 oz LOBSTER WATER. Dear manager, pray that people will come again even if you're able to get 13 dollars for the first visit. I'd rather jump off a cliff. This bowl of lobster bisque soup was slightly bigger than my fist size. And it was 13 dollars. That's a whole meal at a legit restaurant and this doesn't fill you up at all. If I'm paying for the flavor, the flavor isn't top notch either to worth 13 dollars. The bisque was honestly really bland. The lobster meat doesn't taste FRESH either. Tastes worse than the lobster bisque from Zupa's. The bisque itself is WATERY AND NOT THICK AT ALL. Do you know how to cook? Sorry if this sounds harsh but just laying it out as how it is. If you go to the east coast they don't even charge this much for their fresh out of the sea lobster. I honestly don't know why they think they're the Gucci brand in the food industry. Quite perplexed by their pricing strategy, who do they think they are lol.

Anthony C.

Yelp
Freshies has brought a taste of Maine to Salt Lake City! What a nice surprise to finally have a lobster roll and you don't feel ripped off! We ordered the xl lobster roll. It's not that big, but there was a bunch of lobster on the bun for $32. The bun was toasted and covered in butter. The lobster roll they serve is called the Connecticut lobster roll which is butter based. I prefer the Maine lobster roll which is more mayo based. The roll they served us had too much butter on it and it broke apart. The entire lobster roll was still really good. What I liked about it was it was not just claw meat. They actually had some of the tail meat which gives it more flavor. We also ordered the lobster Mac & cheese. This was one of the best mac and cheese dishes that i have had in a while. There was a generous amount of lobster meat in the dish. I just wish it had a little bit more cheese in it. Even my last bite had a piece of lobster in it. The clam chowder is not the best, but it was definitely one of the better ones that I've had on the west coast. NOTHING compares to clam chowder in Maine! This one just needed a pinch of salt to boost the flavor. We ordered a Caprese Salad. Holy cow!!! This was the best salad I've had! You've got to try this salad! Just a hint of sweetness to go with the vinegar and pesto, topped off with a dollop of cheese. One of the best sides was the brown butter corn! Rich melted browned butter on kernels of corn. If you love butter, you can't miss this side dish! Like I said, you don't feel ripped off and you get a nice taste of Maine in Salt Lake City!

Ty B.

Yelp
Tasty, but their lobster rolls (even the smallest one) are too expensive, too small and, therefore, there's simply not enough meat for the price. You'll need to adjust accordingly IMO. My aunt bought us lunch and got it to go because I was hobbled and couldn't walk. Maybe that's the difference compared to the other 4- and 5-star reviews -- eat it there.

Megan H.

Yelp
We got there right when they opened at 11am. I ordered the lobster Mac n cheese and the guy who took the order said that it would take 20 minutes. I said that was fine. The two people that I was with got lobster rolls and those came out in about 10-15 minutes. While we waited outside a different employee came out and said that the $116 charge to my card didn't go through. He checked online and it said that it did go through... she left, only to come back again to say that it didn't go through and could he come back in and pay again. She canceled the first order, rang it up again and recharged his card. Not a huge deal, but definitely interrupted our conversation multiple times. After 45 minutes I sent my husband in to see if the lobster Mac n cheese was ready. He came back and was told about 15 more minutes. So that original 20 minute wait turned into a full 1 hour wait. When it was ready she dropped it off at our table outside but didn't bring any utensils. When I asked about it, she said that they were inside. Ugh. Wouldn't you think to grab some on your way out when you had someone wait 40 extra minutes? The first few bites were great & the lobster rolls were fantastic. As I ate the Mac n cheese I noticed a short brown hair wrapped around a noodle. I didn't want to start this hour long process over again, but if I had been alone I would've asked for my money back and left. Food was good, except for the hair and the crazy long wait and the register not working.

Kimberly B.

Yelp
No frills menu and atmosphere. Very laid back. We ordered the caprese salad, lobster bisque and the lobster sliders. The sliders and bisque were great. Just the right portions.

Anonymous A.

Yelp
The decor here is fairly simple & minimalistic but with a nautical feel & looks nice. We came here for a lobster roll & the flavor didn't disappoint. It's a pricey item at $33 for each sandwich. The sandwiches are not real big & only comes with some potato chips. After eating a $70+ "meal" we were still hungry. This is not a fine dining restaurant, it's an order & pay at the counter before you eat kind of place with no real customer service. We weren't interested in the drinks they offered & asked for a couple cups of water, which we never received. The place was mostly empty & there was rarely an employee in sight. When our food was ready a guy brought it to our table & came across kinda pissy towards us as he plopped our food on the table. I would have asked about the water cups but his attitude felt unapproachable. We chose to ignore it & make the best of the situation enjoying our food & each others company. Like I said, the taste of their lobster roll didn't disappoint. The flavor was so good my mouth is watering just thinking about it. However, the customer service at this place is severely lacking. Combine that with the price of $33 each for a sandwich & some potato chips, which was not filling, it's going to be hard to justify coming back. Also, this place has a "NO CASH ACCEPTED" policy & will only take non-cash/"no contact" forms of payment for your purchase, so you cannot pay for your food with American paper money. However, interestingly they do have a bucket on the counter for cash tips. So I guess they feel an exception of "touchable extra money" for tips is okay.

Frank G.

Yelp
The food was edible I wouldn't say it was out this world it was a nice snack for the amount of food was on the plate service was bad the cashiers didn't help till after 10 mins the ambience was nice it's a nice vibe but the service and food were ok the 5oz lobster roll it's self was nice good flavor the chips aren't my cup of tea but to each there own the service is the only issue and there is no soft drinks for kids

Rhett C.

Yelp
best lobster roll around !! HOWEVER, don't say your open on line so people like me drive 25 mins to get there and you're closed. cmon. other wise 5 stars.

Aria C.

Yelp
Such a cute restaurant, you feel like you're on the coast enjoying freah Lobster! The food was good but wasn't anything special. I felt like you could buy their clam chowder and chips at costco or something. Their Lobster roll is pretty good, I wish the flavor was more infused in the lobster but in combination with the English style hotdog bun, whi h

Caleb F.

Yelp
So my last name is "Fresh," no lie, so I was immediately drawn to this place when I saw the name was "Freshies." I have also spent much time on the East Coast, so I know when I encounter some BOMBBBB LOBSTAH. And let me say, for being in Utah, this place understood the assignment. 3 sizes of Hot, BUTTEREDDD LOBSTAH rolls, we got the 3.7 oz. Comes with Himalayan salt chips. Homemade lemonade with a free refill. The inside vibes were very nautical and Maine. Highly recommend, sorry for the no photo. I ate the roll too quick!!

Ryan F.

Yelp
These Maine lobster rolls from Here are so delicious they consist of small chunks of tender sweet cooked lobster . The lobster has a sweet and delicate flavor, they went light on the seasoning which I prefer. I definitely recommend getting the XL roll. The smaller ones will just leave you wanting more the XL was perfect. The yummy buttery toast was like dipping your lobster in butter . I also tried the lobster bisque and the clam chowder, the bisque was great but the clam chowder was out of this world. Freshies is the best main lobster rolls in Utah . Its like visiting Maine without the flight Rick helped us out, he's so friendly he came over to make sure everything was ok and we chatted for a bit.

Thalia G.

Yelp
The food was pricy - $32 for a 5 oz lobster roll. I got the XL roll and it came with chips. With tip it was about $37. Of course I am aware that we're not near water, so I figure the cost will be higher. It was overall pretty good, but the lobster was a tad over cooked (chewy) in my opinion, which ruined the roll. I've had good lobster and lobster rolls in Maine, so I know how the texture should normally be. I was excited to try it, and glad I did. I forgot to take a photo, but the roll was a nice portion. The chips were good but they were such a small portion as well; I would've felt better if I'd had a bigger portion. For the cost, I was hoping the lobster would've been better cooked and the chips a bit more generous.

Jack T.

Yelp
Best place around these land locked parts to get a NE lobster roll. The rolls are always great, but I feel like the bisque has changed over the years (a bit too watery and greasy for my taste).

Michael W.

Yelp
Spent $75 for 2 to eat. Given a small water cup with no soda options to fill up a room temp tap water dispenser with no ice. Would expect to have ice or other drinks as an option when spending equivalent to an upscale restaurant. Place was quite empty and took 20 min to get 2 lobster rolls. No creative sides just chips as your side for $35 a roll. In my lobster roll was pieces of shell which ruined my roll. Wouldn't recommend.

Yelp
The ambiance throws you to coastal Maine and there's plenty of indoor seating. The lobster Mac is good, but the lobster rolls are what makes this restaurant such a great addition to Utah!

Yelp
They have the lobster roll dialed in. It is not cheap, but it is so delicious. The service was pretty quick. The only thing that was a bit disconcerting was the metal music playing. Kind of odd when most of the diners were older couples.

Yelp
A lobster roll from the great seaport of Salt Lake City is not an everyday indulgence. But coming from landlocked Idaho we decided to splurge. We shared an XL sandwich and chips on the large bun. The lobster was soft and tender and really tasty. Their was lots of butter and no filler. It was really good. We also liked that they had made-in-Maine root beer and ginger ale. Those were good, too. I'm surprised at the people in other reviews who have complained about the price. There's a cost to shipping fresh lobster every day. We looked at the menu online and were aware what it was going to cost. If we weren't willing to pay that kind of price, we would have gone elsewhere. This was worth it.

Yelp
I follow Desert News for some reason on Facebook (I am not from Utah and I am not LDS, sooo...), and for years they have talked about Freshies. I had Freshies bookmarked for eons it feels like, and I was finally able to try the place. I'm writing this review in July '22 after visiting in March '22., so sadly...my memory is a bit blurred. We got two lobster rolls, a cup of clam chowder, and lobster mac. I honestly didn't find the rolls to be anything to write home about, but I did enjoy the flavor of the clam chowder and the different cheeses in the lobster mac and cheese. I think Freshies is pretty good for Utah, but they've also gotten national recognition for their lobster rolls. That's how I found out about them. The lobster rolls/portions were small, so we were a bit surprised by that.

Yelp
Lobster rolls are bomb - flavor and texture just what you would want! A little pricey but one of the few options to get a good a lobster roll in Utah

Yelp
The lobster rolls are better than the ones I had in Boston! Always friendly service, consistently delicious food, nice space. I love the crab roll when they have it.

Yelp
Lobster is absolutely fresh, sweet, and delicious with the Grilled-toasted New England hotdog bun. Drizzled with hot melted butter, everything about the meal made me wanting for more. You get chips on the side with the roll. I was welcomed by a kind man who also took my order. I forgot to ask for his name but he was so nice that he even make me a sriracha aioli sauce to dip my chips in. When you are here, you must get the side of corn because corn being sautéed with chives and brown butter is so yummy. I could snack on it all day. Place is clean and furnished with a cute sea theme. Con-Please know prices for lobster rolls have increased at this time. I didn't know until I arrived at the restaurant and their website didn't state the price changes either. The price is definitely a lot higher than usual to get fresh lobster shipped from Maine. I got the Real Mainah size which is 3.7 oz and it was $27 (check the menu picture I shared for temporary prices changes on the other roll sizes). Though quality was definitely worth the first-try, I am probably going to wait to eat here again until it settles back to its original price which is usually $21.00 for the Real Mainah. But if you love lobster, price for the quality shipped here doesn't really matter;)
