"It is a real stroke of luck for the beautiful Baltic Sea resort of Binz that Ralf Haug, who was born in the Black Forest, has ended up in the far north of Germany. Here, at the fine dining restaurant of Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten, he has been wowing diners with his remarkable creativity and finesse since 2013. For his 12-course set menu (a shorter version is also available), he combines classic elements and regional ingredients to conjure up modern and coherent dishes. These mouth-watering creations include a Nordic bouillabaisse and the bell peppers with seaweed flakes and sour cream. Considering the first-rate quality of the ingredients, the value for money is surely worth a mention! The atmosphere is as pleasingly down-to-earth as the cuisine, which is down to both the casual Nordic-style interior design and the very friendly and attentive front-of-house team." - Michelin Inspector

My first time dining at a Michelin-star restaurant, and Freustil exceeded all expectations. We had the 10-course meal, which, while a lot of food, was an incredible experience. For the first time ever, I described food as ‘a dream’. The staff was incredibly friendly, making us feel comfortable and well taken care of throughout the evening. There was one small hiccup with one waiter being a bit pushy while pouring something into my boyfriend’s glass, which felt a little odd. But overall, it was an unforgettable experience.

I opted for the 10-course menu. The service was impeccable throughout the entire meal, which spanned approximately 3.5 hours. The restaurant's decor and furnishings were impressive. While the beverage prices were in line with those of other Michelin-starred establishments, I was disappointed to find that the cutlery exhibited visible scratches and wash marks. Additionally, the lack of air conditioning within the restaurant was incongruous with the establishment's pricing structure. On a positive note, the restaurant accepts all major credit cards, which is a convenient feature for diners.

Came here spontaneously and enjoyed the 3 course lunch with the family. Was delighted to see that they had a nice simple menu for kids. The service was friendly. The salad was nothing exceptional, but the entrée won us over with a wonderful dynamic of flavours and textures. The dessert was simple yet nicely executed. Enjoyed by both adults and kids alike. Overall everything was extremely reasonably priced and would love to dine here again and experience more from the chef.

We had a pleasant culinary experience with a ten-course menu from this restaurant, and it must be said that Freustil really deserves its Michelin star for gastronomy. The service was pleasant and tried very hard. It was worse with the wine pairing, not only did the wine not go very well with the food, but it was also not of good quality, in one case there was a smell of sulphur. Despite this negative experience with the wine, I give it 5 stars.

I loved the atmosphere and the very clean decor, not overdone at all yet classy. The staff was fantastic especially to our two kids we took with! The food itself is great but not the finest, the third course I think was some vegetables on a rock which presentation wise were spot on but taste wise not memorable. they have to improve their wine pairing: all the wines on their “tour” list cost under €10 per bottle so they should consider adopting the prices they charge for the wines !!! either serve premium taste wines and keep the prices or keep the wines and drop the price.

Hospitality on Rügen. Not a given. Even though the venison was somewhat chewy, they totally deserve best ratings… b/c there’s no competition in terms of friendly staff, professionality and such. Very innovative kitchen, great drinks. You have to try the Eau de Vie from Deutsche Spirituosenmanufaktur, spectacular.

Had the 10-course menu, which offered a delicious and creative experience. There was great variety from course to course, with no two presentations nor flavor profiles being the same. Course sizes were adequately, leaving you full but not stuffed afterwards. The ambience was nice, although it got much cozier once it got dark outside). Nothing to say against their service that was impeccable.
