Food was amazing! Staff was amazing! Atmosphere was amazing! This was my first time going here and it was such an awesome experience. Definitely give it a try if you haven’t. I’m going to be back for sure :)

Went with my sister on a Saturday afternoon and it was nice and quiet with good food, excellent service, and clean facilities. They offered margaritas and dessert but their portions were too filling for us to try those this time.

I was in the area and curious about what this place would be like. It was encouraging until it wasn't, but then made right. It was still early and the restaurant wasn't busy yet. I started with sweet tea, chips and salsa served warm. Looking over the menu, I was wanting a stuffed Chile Relleno. My server, Ruben, suggested the Durango as it includes the Relleno with a Cheese and a Chicken Enchilada, plus a tostada. While my plate was being prepared, I enjoyed the thin chips and warm salsa. My sweet tea never git lower than half full without Ruben refilling it. Once my dinner was served, I was enjoyed eating the enchiladas, rice, and beans. I then turned my plate around to dig into the Relleno. As soon as I cut open Relleno, there was a peculiar smell. I proceeded to try the first bite and immediately knew something was spoiled. That completely killed my appetite. I brought it to the attention of Ruben who tried assure me that everything was fresh but my taste buds knew differently. Soon the manager came to ask me what I thought was wrong and I explained that there was something rancid about it. All said and done, they took my plate to the back and when I received my bill, it was reduced by 50%. The service was great and with exception of the Relleno, the food was too. Unfortunately, I left with a bad taste but satisfied that the settlement was fair. I'm sure they will be double checking what is serve in the future.

Honestly not impressed. The tortillas are store bought and the queso was really bland and had a watery canned taste and texture. Great happy hour special on draft negro modelo. Got the fajitas with beef and pork, and they were just okay. The salsa was warm and good, but the chips were mediocre. Overall just okay, no real reason to return. Service was great, atmosphere was fine, beers were good.

Our waiter, Eric, was AMAZING! GIVE HIM A RAISE!!!! He was knowledgeable about everything they had and was quick to serve us. The food was very good and flavorful. I think chips were a little thin but it's fine. Was a little expensive; 175 for 5 people but also we ordered drinks and a bunch of other things. Overall, great experience and good food for a rare birthday dinner. 5/5 :)

Love this place food has always been great! Today went in for lunch and my service was the worst I’ve ever had here. One gentleman had to walk in the kitchen and ask to be seated at a table.. do better

Decent mexican food and chips/salsa. Enchiladas were a bit bland and chees not fully melted. Service was a bit slow even though the restaurant was not too busy. They have a real nice looking patio to eat outside. Prices are real reasonable Would come back for the patio if its dog friendly or if its a convenient location. But ghere are other mexican options in area that taste as good or better.

Get those street tacos! Service was good and tables clean!

Very good Tex-Mex. The food is hot and plentiful. My 3- generation family has eaten there at least 8-10 times and have never been disappointed. Goos service, and the music is quiet enough that you can talk around the table. Definitely recommend!

The food here is great! The service is great too! The drinks are stronger than we like, but they just bring me extra juice to mix with it lol. I honestly would go here more if I could, the place is nice and mostly quiet for a nice lunch or family dinner. I recommend them for anytime meals any day of the week.

Wanted a quick lunch and i just got s sampler plus chips and salsa. Nice looking bar and the dining area was fine.

These con artists tried to charge our group a 40% gratuity. It wasn't mentioned anywhere. When we paid they just shoved the credit card machine showing a percentage to tip on top of their insane gratuity. I hadn't tried to look over the bill yet so I just picked 22% When I saw the receipt my jaw dropped. Then they proceeded to argue with how math works and lie to me about how it happened. They literally thought it was appropriate to get tipped 30 dollars on a 44 dollar tab. 44 with 40% gratuity =61.60 Add 22% on top of that= 75 I will never eat there again. I don't support thieves and they were shady as hell about it.

The food was amazing and our waiter Michael provided excellent service! You shouldn't definitely try them. You won't be disappointed.

Came in here for lunch with some work colleagues and the service was great. Super efficient and the food was really good too. I had the taco salad it was yummy and my friends had lunch enchiladas they said were good. The inside was clean and and had a nice ambiance. I wouod return

This is one of the restaurants I always plan to visit when I come back to Texas. We have been going to Frijoles for the past 15+ years, it is a staple restaurant for our family. The food is always delicious. They give you plenty of chips and salsa to start. I had the Marytierra Chicken this last time and it was so good. The chicken was perfectly cooked, and the cheese topping made it even better. I also had a frozen strawberry margarita, and it was delicious and huge. The service is always very good here, you won't have to wait too long for food. They have plenty of seating inside and outside, and the inside has a very standard Tex-Mex restaurant look.

We went here on New Year's Eve and it was absolutely delicious. Service was friendly. Place seems a bit old school besides that, we really enjoyed our experience.

It's ok. But if you're craving Mexican, go somewhere else. Kind of a disappointment. Restaurant is clean and wait staff are nice and helpful.

Just moved into area, so our first time here. Pleasantly surprised at the quality and quantity of the food. No kidding, it really was better than I expected; really good. And the service was just as good. Our server, Michael Morgan, has the two requirements for success. He knows his job, inside and out. And he does his job, in spades. Super experience! We will be back, soon and often!

Amazing food, we get this delivered quite often. The bags come sealed close. It helps keep things in place, hot and neat.

I really love this spot. The service is spot on every single time. The staff is friendly, the prices are completely reasonable and the fajitas and margs are perfect.

Service was good and friendly. Ambiance was clean and welcoming, very traditional. Food was fresh and tasty. My husband and I got a cup of queso and it was pretty good, not amazing but better than other places. Chips were thin and needed salt. We shared a barbacoa chimichanga with rice and beans. It was filled and had great flavor. The rice was also quite good. Overall a solid meal. And prices were reasonable.

Servers were kind. Chips and salsa were great. However, I asked our waitress if their tortilla soup had a lot of vegetables. She replied "no, more chicken". There was literally 4 pieces of chicken in my soup. I then told her "this is all vegetables", and asked for a side of chicken, which she then charged me for. Margarita was ok but not worth 13.99.

We had a large company lunch. The service was great and so was the food. Would recommend this friendly location

Service was very slow. In an empty restaurant they sat a family of 6 right next to us which caused it to be cramped. CHECK YOUR RECEIPT! They tried to add extra soft drinks and menu items onto our tab which caused our bill and ultimately tip to go up an extra $40. After catching the mistake they wanted to say we were wrong and after some grief they decided to void the entire receipt and ring it up all over again with our approval. A mistake is usually a mistake, but this seemed a little too calculated. Again check your receipt's!

One of our favorite local date spots. Fresh chips and warm salsa. Queso is perfected! Service is always great. Carne asada is top notch. My husband loves the beef fajitas. Cozy family environment. Always love us some Frijoles!

I took my Friend there for her Birthday, the service was OK,but the food was underwhelming. I ordered Pork fajitas it came sherdded to make it seem like more and alcoholic drinks are overpriced. The topper is the extra charge for using your credit card $4.00 extra...never mentioned anywhere until bill is presented.

Stopped by for a late lunch, service was super fast, food was hot. They offered lunch menu to 4pm so that was a bonus. Wife had the lunch fajita salad and I had the lunch fajitas. Staff was fast and very attentive. Would highly recommend! Only side note is salsa is very thin in viscosity.

Still loving this restaurant even though Sergio no longer works here. Good is good and reasonably priced and take out is great too. Good drinks, good food and a nice patio when the weather is nice!

Another great lunch service. The warm salsa is addictive. Everyone is so friendly and eager to help. My kids just came home for a visit and this is their go to. The food is always on point.

We go on Thursday's for buy one get one free Fajitas. But if you go on Wednesday's you can get buy one get one free enchiladas. The reason I know this place is great is the same wait staff have been here for years!! Years!! So that tells you management here is great too. Plus they have big, bigger of gigantic alcoholic beverages here. Call an uber big!! Fajitas are good and the hot sauce comes out warm and the chips are oh so fresh! If you're trying to save money or if you want good food this is your place!

Always delicious, I get the Fajita Montada it's basically Cheese Enchiladas topped with chopped up Beef fajitas. Churros with ice cream for dessert yummy Calm atmosphere fast friendly service.

We went here tonight for fajitas. We had a strange order because of our keto lifestyle. We wanted fajitas for two but just fajitas, guacamole, sour cream, cheese, and grilled veggies instead of the normal rice and beans. They did this without charging extra and any hassle. Maria was our waitress and she was awesome. The food was great too. I would totally go back. On Thursdays they offer go to on fajitas.

Went to eat here today. I was very disappointed this time. The salsa was way to hot (spicy) not heat hot. The food was extremely salty. This is the first time I've been disappointed.

Not good food, not friendly kind service.What Mexican restaurant does not have hot sauce? If you want more than the standard 1/2 tsp of pico , be prepared for a$1 charge.Extra onions .50 cents. They need to close their doors so perhaps a good Mexican restaurant can mm in.

The chicken enchiladas are great. Juicy flavorful chicken inside and wonderful sour cream sauce. The tamales were good too. I read that many people judge a Mexican restaurant but the hot sauce. Please don't do that; It's not great. But the churros are a must get! Or server was very attentive as well.

Need to update your hours on your website and on google search to reflect what your hours are on your door. Just left your business not being able to get in at 9:07 when your website and google search shows your open till 10:30. Your door has a paper sign showing you close at 9.

The absolute best!!! This is my entire family's go to Mexican restaurant! Always clean, fast and amazing food!

This folks is what they call, "nachos." 8 soggy chips, cold, hard cheese, with a hint of beans. Pathetic! It went right into the trash. Headed to Rosa's where I should have gone to begin with.

Not sure how this received good ratings. We had ordered from this restaurant via DoorDash. Everything was completely inedible. The sour cream enchiladas and queso tasted spoiled. The nachos consisted of a few limp greasy chips that tasted like cardboard. Not to mention they ignored every special request we added. Will never recommend or go to this place again. Disgusting and a total waste of money.

This is mine and my husband's comfort Mexican food restaurant. The service is great and I always get the mini chimichangas, YUM! The salsa is SO good, you could eat it all day. I have been here well over 30 times and every time I leave happy and full!

Tonight was my first time visiting this restaurant. Husband and I had their Thursday special, BOGO fajitas, along with strawberry margaritas and chips and queso. The queso was tasty. Margaritas were delicious and strong. The fajitas were average. The steak was tender and seasoned, but nothing to rave about. My only complaint was the portions. It was BOGO fajitas but it was clearly 1 normal portion of fajitas split between 2 people. Since this is the first time I've ever been there, I can't say if that's the portion size they give every day, but if so I'd be very unhappy paying full price.

My favorite things to order here are the steak fajitas and the mini chimi plate. Served on a sizzling platter, the steak is always tender and hot with that great smoky, fresh off the grill taste. The mini chimi plate comes with three fun-sized chimichangas, and you can choose the filling and sauce of each. This works perfectly for me, since I always like to have a variety of things on my plate that I can sample from. Now let's get to their chips and salsa. The chips they use are super thin, which I love because they're so crispy and satisfying. And the salsa they bring out is served warm! I know, I know. That's a really odd concept for anyone who's lived their life only eating cold salsa. But if you just give it a try, you'll find that it actually works! You can really taste the spices and seasonings in the salsa and the added warmth gives it a little more depth. The servers here are always attentive and friendly, and the whole atmosphere makes you feel very welcomed. They also have a BOGO fajita special on Thursdays, which is always a great value.

This is our go-to family sit down. We enjoy it. My son loves their cheese enchiladas. My husband and I love their friend cheesecake with strawberry sauce.

Shocked by all the bad reviews! We went on a Wednesday and had the enchilada special. Our waitress was great and provided excellent service. The hot sauce was so good! The food was fairly priced and just what you would expect from a Tex-Mex restaurant. There is a patio that you can sit on.

Diner was great. The 7 layer dip was very good the soggy peta chips that were in it were terrible. But just eat it with the chips they bring to the table and it's perfect. The chicken chimichanga my date got said it was wonderful and huge and I had the polo Avon it was so good I ate it for 3 meals. Price is great lots of food and we both took food home. Now as far as the service we'll our food came out fast with the food runner or server though she only came to our table 2 times and the last time we had been looking for her for 20 minutes just pushing food around our plates. But all in all good was great so yay for that.

Cant tell you about the food just that no one greeted us at the door lol after a while we ended up leaving to another place. It was 4 of us and 2 guys behind us also waiting to be seated... we all left! I heard the waitress say she wasn't having a good day and they had no employees. I'm glad we left and went to Lupes down Rufe Snow! I've lived in the area for 5 years and never had an interest in going until today and I should've never lol anyways don't go there go anywhere else.

My wife and I had great expectations since we had been residents of Ft Worth since 2002, passed the restaurant many times. So, we decided to try it out ( especially since it was "authentic Mexican".) My first impression was the chips; they were fresh, thin, and crispy and with a little salt, quite good. The salsa however, tasted like spicy catchup. I ordered extra Alvarado and it came on a small plate, three scoops ( not fresh), on a bed of lettuce. For lunch I ordered a chicken chimichanga with rice and Charo Beans. The chimichanga was covered in this bland cheesy sauce with very little meat and filled with rice. Enough with the filler. My wife ordered a chicken enchilada . It too was bland. The enchilada was supposedly covered with a sour cream sauce, no taste at all. I added salt and it could not increase the taste of the sauce . After spending $24 that money could have been better spent at an authentic Mexican restaurant...Taco Bell. My wife and I are so dissatisfied . Perhaps a red flag should have been that we went there at lunch and there were very few customers. I'm sure that in the 1980s this was the finest Mexican restaurant , but for 2019 it should be avoided.!!!

We've been going to Frijoles about once a week for several years. It's our default after-church lunch. Friendly staff. (Although if thick Mexican accents bother you, be warned. They can be hard to understand.) The chips come with warmed, not-too-spicy salsa. Excellent! I don't recommend the fajitas. Sometimes they're great, but often not. But everything else on the menu is fantastic. I love their chimichangas and chili relleno. My wife orders the Arroz con Pollo. (Spanish for "rice with chicken" so... guess what get.) It comes with a cup of their awesome chicken tortilla soup with a fresh avocado slice on top.

The salsa was good, and serving it warm was a nice touch. I ordered my enchiladas each with three different sauces. Two were a sour cream base and the other was ranchero. I was super surprised when two of my enchiladas came out with literally just sour cream melted over them; it wasn't a sour cream sauce, just straight up sour cream. It wasn't that great. The other sauce was good, though. On Thursdays, they offer buy one, get one fajitas. We'll probably go back to try that.

We've been here many times for lunch, sometimes for dinner. It has been a good experience with great consistency. Food is good, nicely presented with good portions. I think the salsa is fine; mild, tasty but maybe a little on the saltier side, and I like it served warm. Prices are very fair. Service is friendly. Keep in mind when making special orders that not all of the wait staff speaks English as their primary language. ;-)

We went with a small grp to celebrate my deceased daughter's bday and the hispanic guy working front was RUDE SO RUDE refused to even put tables near each other so we could be close to celebrate in her memory!!! He told us I can put half of you here at front and the other half at back of restaurant "thats all i can do!". I asked about patio and he just barked at me, it seemed he just wanted to be rude. I guess they have done great during COVID and feel need to chase business away. My daughter always loved this place is why we came here! We will NEVER be back. Went to Lupes down Rufe Snow by Burseys, they made us feel welcome!!

So I was in the mood for Mexican food not to over expensive so we went to Frijoles on Rufe Snow. I order the chimichanga, he 2 item combo and a bottle of beer. Got the queso and chips then she brought the beer and margarita over, the first sip out of the beer cut his lip. We looked at the bottle and sure enough it was all jar on the rim. We called her over and showed her it cut his lip and gave her the bottle and she is like how did that happen, (really) then she took it and went to her boss. He came over with napkins and apologized, said once in a while when you open then I guess that happens. (I was thinking I thought all bottles were twist off now.) Ater asking if he wanted another one he said I will be sure to twist it off. I said its a good thing he didn't swallow the chip of glass. Most places would of comp your meal but they sure didn't even off to. The food was good by the way but my husband didn't enjoy it much with a cut lip and the salsa made it burn.

The people giving this more than 3 stars have never had good Mexican food. This place was mediocre. With the name being "Frijoles" you'd think the beans be off the chain....they were not. They tasted canned. I got some enchiladas and they cheese on top of them looked very strange and I was hesitant to eat it but it turned out alright..I guess. Wouldn't come back unless someone absolutely wanted to come here....
