Fringe is a fine dining restaurant in the lobby of the Jerusalem Theater. The menu has been created by a well-known chef, with fish and dairy dishes, a focus on fine wines and a small cocktail and alcohol list. The chef is quite proud that almost all the ingredients are locally sourced, preferably from the Jerusalem area, then from Israel generally. The fish come from the Israeli coast. The restaurant is under the kosher supervision of the Jerusalem Rabbanut.
We shared five dishes from the Starters and From the Sea sections of the menu. These are small dishes that can easily be shared. They range in price from NIS 32 to 62, and with the bread basket, would have been a very pleasant meal for the two of us, at about NIS 115 pp. In addition, we shared the Sofrito main course, which was a unique dish, but we preferred the starters. We also had two creative cocktails. The main course and the cocktails brought the total for the dinner up to the range of NIS 175 pp.
Service was pleasant and not rushed. The chef and the sommelier were available to talk to us, as we came for an early sitting. All told, Fringe is a nice place to treat yourself or your valued guests.
