The Best Dishes Eater Dallas Ate in February 2025 | Eater Dallas

"Known for a focus on high-quality local vegetables and meats and a whole-animal program, the kitchen now offers a tasting menu dubbed Blackland Prairie cuisine, highlighting ingredients from a narrow Texas region. Among numerous memorable plates, a reinterpretation of a pot pie—served atop sweet potato mash with mushrooms from Texas Fungus—was particularly impressive." - Courtney E. Smith

This was my first time trying Nepalese cuisine, and it completely exceeded my expectations—it was absolutely delicious! I’m so grateful this restaurant brought such amazing food to Dallas. Even the young waitress was strikingly beautiful—what a wonderful place! I especially loved the thukpa; the mildly spicy flavor felt so comforting for my stomach. I’ve decided to come often in the winter—just imagine, on a cold day, enjoying a hot bowl of noodles and breaking a light sweat—what a pleasure!

Our trio went to try based on a recommendation and it was a unanimous… delicious. Nepalese cuisine with strong Indian influences. Lots of mutton and goat options but lots of vegetarian options too. Friendly staff with great recommendations. It’s worth a try if you like Indian spice flavors. The momo dumplings were fun.

AMAZING food! I like trying new places, & I’ve never had Nepalese food. I was driving by on a Friday at lunchtime & was hungry, so I decided to stop in & check it out. I heard it was close to Indian food, with slightly less spice. The Chicken Mo Mo was recommended, so that’s what I went with. The Mo Mo plate consisted of dumplings prepared in 4 different styles…fried, pan seared, steamed, & chili…truly all were amazing, with a slight nod to the chili & pan seared. I chose to sit at the bar to watch tv. My server/bartender was very sweet & helpful as she explained all the things I needed to try next time I come back. I’ll definitely be back!

I had such a great time at this restaurant! The food was fresh and full of flavor, and the portion sizes were just right. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The atmosphere was cozy and perfect for a relaxing meal. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this place to friends

Visited this Nepali Restaurant for lunch. They serve authentic nepali cuisine and all servers were very friendly and warm. They suggested and explained nicely. The place wasn’t crowded at all. We went as a group thus ordered variety of food. They had mango lassi as well. Food overall was good. I recommend their chicken sekuwa or mutton sekuwa. Their chowmein was good. We also had their steamed chicken and veg momos, sizzlers, biriyani and many more appetisers. There is outdoor seating space as well and have enough parking spots.

Wanted to try Nepalese chowmein and momos. Got chicken kothey momos and egg chowmein to-go from this place. While I did not dine in the interior of this restaurant felt quite good. The ambience nice with the dim yellow lights etc. The momos tasted good with the chutney. The egg chowmein had a nice fluffy omelette on the top and the noodles tasted nice. I’ll definitely visit here again. They could give a bit more momo chutney.

Thali was fine and nothing special. Most lamb momo I ordered were broken with tough texture, but the seasoning was rich. The service here was slow, and it took a long while to get the tab and fetch a to-go bag.
