Frites Las Vegas food truck opens at Excalibur - Eater Vegas

"All things French fries now have a home on the Strip. The new Frites Las Vegas opened on Monday with a roster of French fry dishes served from a food truck inside the Castle Walk Food Court at Excalibur. The fries, cooked in beef tallow, are cut into triangular wedges for a maximum crunch-to-creamy potato ratio. The menu features original frites fry, which can also be dressed up as the everything bagel mix frites or the double ketchup frites. Diners can also upgrade to truffle frites. Frites meals includes chips ‘n dip including deviled egg sauce with thick cut potato rounds; castle frites with crispy bacon, cheddar cheese, sour cream, and chives on top of stubby frites fries; sausage gravy frites topped with breakfast sausage and black peppered gravy on top of stubby frites fries; and nacho frites with yellow queso, cotija cheese, jalapeños, red onion, and cilantro on top of stubby frites fries. Sauces include buttermilk ranch, Thai chili, deviled egg, nacho cheese, and aji crema. Even desserts get the fry treatment with churro-style crinkle cut sweet potato fries with whipped malted Nutella cream made with coconut oil. A root beer float rounds out the menu. Frites Las Vegas is the first original concept from Feel Good Brands, which has operated multiple franchises including Krispy Kreme locations, for more than 20 years in the Las Vegas valley. Frites Las Vegas, Excalibur Castle Walk Food Court, 3850 Las Vegas Blvd. S. Open Sunday through Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to midnight and Friday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m." - Susan Stapleton

The most-anticipated restaurant openings in Las Vegas — summer 2019 edition - Eater Vegas

"Fries specialist Frites Las Vegas debuts in June inside the Castle Walk Food Court at Excalibur, complete with a counter dressed up like a food truck. Frites worked on dozens of potatoes and cuts before opting for triangular-shaped fries, based on the shape of Toblerone candy bars, to get the optimal crunch. The fries then go into a beef tallow, much like old school McDonald’s fries, for the crunch factor. Vegetarians and vegans to get their fries cooked in peanut oil." - Susan Stapleton

Frites Las Vegas opens at Excalibur in June - Eater Vegas

"Frites Las Vegas asks the vital question, “Who says French fries can’t be a meal?” In June, the restaurant debuts inside the Castle Walk Food Court at Excalibur, complete with a counter dressed up like a food truck. Frites worked on dozens of potatoes and cuts before opting for triangular-shaped fries, based on the shape of Toblerone candy bars, to get the optimal crunch. The fries then go into a beef tallow, much like old school McDonald’s fries, for the crunch factor. Vegetarians and vegans to get their fries cooked in peanut oil. “We have created flavor profiles with a nod to Americana nostalgia yet with a sophisticated international flair,” the company says. Options teased so far include an everything bagel variety and churro fries. The restaurant also plans to serve a variety of sauces, ranging from sweet, savory, and chunky, to smooth and sultry. While not scheduled to debut at the opening, malts, and milkshakes will be part of the future menu once the restaurant gets up and running, as is delivery service." - Susan Stapleton

We tried the barbecue and nacho fries and they were truly amazing!!! The root beer float was also very good! The cook was extremely friendly, but the female cashier was incredibly rude. It would be a real shame if people left due to bad service before getting a delicious taste! The fries came out fresh, quick, and tasty :)

Loved the fries so much!! As soon as we saw the truck, we knew this was a must-have on our visit. We stopped by for a late night snack - no long lines, great pricing, awesome service and the servings were huge so this is enough to share (but you probably won't want to). After reading a few other reviews I'm surprised to see it's a *NEW* place - added to my list of Vegas Favorites! Highly recommend giving them a try!

It was good. I tried getting some guys attention to take my order but he completely ignored me, so I came back later and a girl was at the order station and she was very helpful. The fries were nothing really special, I thought they would be since it's cooked in beef tallow, but they were good nonetheless. ***I do not need to offend anyone with genders, I am presuming genders, but I can be wrong, I did not ask how to address the human being workers, so please do not judge of I used he or she in the conservative manner***

I had the Cheeseburger Fries and OMFG... Literally the best thing I ate during my 5 day stay. They were so good I'm going to try and mimic them at home. I've been to Vegas twice this year and I really didnt have anything on my "must eat foodie list"... Until now. I'll be back for Frites on every trip in the future! (even if I have to wait in a long line... ) I had no problem with lines since we got there about 15 min before closing. I understand how staffing more people could be an issue because basically it's a food truck trailer in a mall food court setting. I don't think they could put more than 2-3 people in that thing. Personally I'd wait up to 20 minutes for these fries because they're so good... Thankfully I had no wait. See you next time, Frites!

Wish I were able to give a review on the food but after waiting half an hour with a "closed for 15 minutes" at the window when the employees finally came back to the window they told us they were out of their cheese and some meats. Frustrated we left to go get food from somewhere else. 20 minutes later, after eating around the corner we walked past here to get back to the casino floor and they still had their closed sign up. It seems apparent they don't really want business or care.

We tried fries in beef tallow for our mtiple allergy child and he professed best fries he has had! We also tried The Trailer "loaded cheeseburger fries" and it certainly lived up to its name. Fresh, delicious and friendly service!

Stopped in on my little adventure to Vegas and as I was wandering thru I saw your sign and asked someone where you were located, after I found it awesome I ordered the Hangover and was delighted, customer service was fast and friendly so I came back the next day for more tried the BBQ chicken style and almost got mugged in the elevator on the way to my room. Friendly service. as General Douglas McArthur said "I shall return"

Here at 2pm 8/10. Fries are crispy and line wasn't long at all. Definitely great for a quick bite that doesn't break the bank like a lot of places in Vegas
