The wife and I visited for our anniversary. Great upscale atmosphere and excellent service. The scallops and pork belly were phenomenal and the timing between appetizers and main entree was acceptable. However, the main course left much to be desired. The butcher steak i ordered was recommended by the chef to be cooked medium, I normally order med rare but I trust the chef. I received a well done piece of what tasted almost exactly like a piece of overcooked roast! The fries were good but I received an almost comically large portion. The wife ordered the snapper with the same truffle fries and she received the same amount of fries as I. We had other people actually looking at our table at the mounds of fries. The drinks we ordered from the bar were fantastic but the water we were served with it was room temperature at best. For dinner with a $127 tab attached, tip came to around $170.....I expected better. I think we will stick to Cork and Flame for the next special event.

Me and my boyfriend were passing through on a birthday trip and decided to stop in Augusta, GA for dinner. The server Nicole was very knowledgeable about the menu. The pork belly appetizer was delicious. We ordered the swordfish and the shrimp&grits as our main plate. Oh my gosh.....it was superrrrrrrdelicious. Farm to table, ingredients were fresh, and the great atmosphere matched the amazing food. 10/10 Everyone should try this place

I really wanted to like this place and the service was awesome! But the food really left a lot to be desired in general. I ordered the chicken schnitzel dinner and ask for no extra salt on anything. The greens and vegetable on top just had an odd flavor that did not meld well at all. The chicken would have had a good flavor and did on the end that wasn't burnt but one end of the chicken breast was badly burnt and also had an issue, in that who's eating a chicken breast and expects to bite into a bone?! And not just one piece of bone but two! :-( I had also ordered a side of the braised Collard greens, now those were absolutely delicious! The entire meal should have been like the collard greens. It's kind of funny because when I ordered the side of collard greens the server said just so you know they're not like what I'm used to they have a little bit of a sweet taste, to which I replied good they'll be like my mother's were! And not only were they somewhat like my mother's they were actually even better! They had a bit of something else besides the sweetness that gave them a touch of a bite and they were awesome! I left kind of wishing I had just ordered a couple of sides and didn't get the chicken dish. How well live and learn. I can't say if I would return or not next time I was through Augusta simply because I'm not sure it'd be worth it because it's so expensive, to possibly end up with another burnt dish with bones that shouldn't be there

The staff is very friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. From the hostess, to the bartender, to our wonderful waiter ( and I wish I could remember his name!) everyone was so nice. The Rind and shine mocktail was a seasonal sensation (to me). Not too sweet and not over powering just a sweet and subtle balance. The recommended wine went perfectly with my Pan Seared Diver Scallops. I cannot remember the last time I had such fresh and delicious seafood! It was paired with Charleston rice and Peach and Cucumber Salsa. Everything was freshly made in house. I think the only thing that is not prepared there is the bread. This was our first time patronizing and won’t be our last. We came to celebrate our anniversary and the staff was so sweet they gave us these cute little momento cards. 10 out of 10! You won’t be disappointed.

I absolutely love this restaurant. It was the very first restaurant I ate at when I moved to Augusta a year and a half ago. Since then I've eaten there a handful of times and its always been consistent and never disappoints. Delicious food, great atmosphere and wonderful service.

I’m at a loss for words with this restaurant. It’s absolutely amazing both appearance wise and atmosphere wise as well. From the hostess, to the servers, and generally the entire staff were very hospitable. Our server was Jaylen (apologies if I misspelled her name) and she was excellent. When she explained the menu and off menu items, she was very charismatic but not over the top at all. She was quick to refill our drinks, clean and pre bust our table, refresh our silverware, and took care of us very well. The food was delicious as well; the taste, the presentation, the preparation was all 10/10. I recommend this to locals, passer byers, business dates, chefs looking for inspiration, anyone and everyone!!

What a great surprise. More than a tavern, FHT is a delightful outing for any occasion. We had great service from Ben, attending to every detail. Highly recommend.

Google
TLDR: Goat Cheese Cheesecake is the best cheesecake in the CSRA. Order this immediately: chocolate mousse cake + bacon and salted caramel Ice cream. My husband and I had dessert here and it was incredible. So good we didn’t wait to take the “perfect” photo. But it was the perfect dessert. Goat cheese cheesecake with blueberry compote is the best cheesecake in the CSRA. Without rival. But the real gem came from the bartender suggestion. Do this, and you will be thrilled with how good this tastes. Order the chocolate mousse cake with a side of bacon and scoop of salted caramel ice cream. Have it all together and it’s the perfect sweet & savory dessert combo.

Yelp
We decided to celebrate Valentine's Day early this year and chose Frog Hollow Restaurant for our special evening. It was a romantic night, made even better by our fantastic server, Rachel. The ambiance was perfect for the occasion, and I highly recommend getting a reservation, as this place gets busy! Food Ratings: Quail: 5/5 - Perfectly cooked and flavorful. Apple Carpaccio: 5/5 - A delightful, refreshing dish. She-Crab Soup: 5/5 - Rich and comforting, a must-try. Mussels: 4/5 - Extremely fresh, though slightly lacking in seasoning. Scallops: 2/5 - While the scallops were cooked perfectly, the entire dish lacked flavor. Bone-In Pork Chop: 4.5/5 - Juicy and well-seasoned. Duck Breast: 5/5 - Delicious, cooked to perfection. Brussels Sprouts (cooked in duck fat): 4/5 - Rich and satisfying. Mac and Cheese: 5/5 - Creamy and indulgent, a crowd-pleaser. Goat Cheesecake: 4/5 - Smooth and tangy, a lovely dessert. Crème Brûlée: 5/5 - Perfectly executed, with a crisp top and creamy interior. Frog Hollow delivered a memorable dining experience. Despite minor misses, the quality and service made it a night to remember.

Yelp
Came into Augusta to sample restaurants for upcoming son's wedding rehearsal dinner. Frog Hollow Tavern didn't disappoint. Service was quick and attentive. Very pleased with the attention we received. Loved my Braised Pork Shoulder with the Feta Mac & Cheese. Very tasty and filling. My wife had the Swordfish that was on special. She found it a bit salty. Nice restaurant with a pleasant vibe. Overall, very satisfied and still in consideration for the upcoming event.

Yelp
Have had frog hollow twice now for sales rep events and each time has been a decently enjoyable experience. Listing some of the food items I have had Duck mousse (3.5/5): When I ordered this I was expecting something a bit more decadent like foie gras, but it was definitely more of a paste. It was rich and was balanced well with the fig and lemon jam, but in my opinion it was a bit too salty. Tomato salad (4.5/5): Multiple tomatos in varied stage of ripeness along with a tomato vinagrette and feta cheese. Honestly if you are going for any type of salad, this is the one to go for. The pickled onions and tomato vinagrette add a refreshing tartness. Some of the riper tomatoes add a bit of sweetness, and the feta cheese give some creaminess and salt to the dish. Every bite different in texture and taste and overall my favorite appetizer they have (definitely superior to their ice berg lettuce wedge I tried from a friend). Pork shoulder (4/5): This seems to be their special main course, what they are known for. Decent sized hunk of pork shoulder with a sweet glaze sauce/jus that comes with collard greens and gouda mac and cheese. The pork shoulder could have been a bit more tender, but the sauce helps add moisture and a sweet acidity to it to help with this. The gouda mac and cheese is layered almost like lasagna and has a smoky crust at the top while having generous amounts of gooey cheese in between each lasagna pasta layer. The collard greens have a strong vinegar taste but a mild sweetness to it and goes well with the pork and mac. Pork special (3.5/5): Pork brined and cooked with brown butter finish. This was a dish pretty similar to their pork shoulder special but with less of a sweet sauce. It was really thick and juicy but again slightly lacking in tenderness. The sides were a pretty standard squash with almond. Cocktails are all excellent, (5/5):I loved the apple fuji and the tea hive. They taste lightly of alcohol due to the apple or honey/tea flavor, yet they are not too overbearingly sweet. Apple fuji is refreshing and the tea hive is like a honey sweet tea with a slight alcohol kick. Honestly have to be careful with these cocktails because you can definitely have more than a few since they're so addicting. Overall always enjoyable having frog hollow especially for events. I find it to be consistently solid and would come here for the cocktails alone. May try some other dishes apart from pork the next time I am back.

Yelp
I love Frog Hollow Tavern everytime I come to dine in their establishment! The food is always flavorful and the menu is always changing with new combinations. I've recently had the waitress Nicole, she was so amazing and knowledgeable. I will always recommend this restaurant to anyone who's new in Augusta.

Yelp
I've been to frog hollow multiple times over the past decade to celebrate special occasions and sometimes just to come here and enjoy a good meal. This place was one of the first fine dining restaurants in Augusta and I still like it now but there are other options to compare it to and unfortunately it's not as up to par. The last few times I've come, the entrees have been saltier than I liked, like when I got the pork it was so salty I couldn't even eat much of it. I switched over to their duck entree recently and I've been really enjoying that. This past time it was a little raw in the middle so I ended up bringing it home and searing it some more. The fries are great and it's such a huge portion, I do recommend that. And their creme brûlée is also good. Overall the service and ambience here are still top notch. I just think the food could have a bit more quality control

Yelp
Is it fair to give a place 5 stars even though you've only been there once? Lol. We love this place. It's business casual: no flip-flops no hats no athletic wear, white table cloths. Service was awesome! Our meal was spaced out perfectly with small short break in between. We were not rushed at all. We ate more than we should have, getting 1 entrée as an appetizer with an actual appetizer! The crab cake and mussels were delicious. The mussels were Cajun style with that creole jambalaya taste and a kick. The crab cake was huge (7oz) paired with that simple arugula salad. My husband had the perfection pork chops with [I don't know how they made that corn bread salad mixed], and I had that buttery scallops with cheesy asparagus risotto. I don't know how else to describe this place other than "I wish we lived closer"

Yelp
Charming restaurant with great service and amazing food! Perfect place to go for a special and fun evening with family or special friends. Love how it's farm to table, mostly from local farmers. Can't wait to go again.

Yelp
What a dining experience, great wait staff, friendly- very attentive and great atmosphere(playing Yacht Rock music in background). Overall give Frog a 4.7 would have gave higher but the server over hyped andouille smoked sausage. I had one of the best pork chop ever had- perfectly cooked- brine was amazing and very juicy- served with potatoes and peas. The Mac N Cheese was off the chart- amazing along with Scallops was excellent. Highly reccomend the Srouts and Crème Brûlée. One of the best spots in Augusta if not the best. Will be back! Thank you for a great dining experience during The Masters weekend! Amazing farm to table restaurant!

Yelp
When we walked in thought was very inviting but the was seated in a side room which wasn't so nice. Sigh. While I might seem like a frog there might be a prince inside. The quail, scallops and rib eye were fantastic. The she crab bisque and shrimp were okay. The Mac and cheese was interesting in that it was more of a lasagna sans gravy (tomato sauce). Extra star for the wine prices which are only a little bit above retail. So get an extra bottle of wine and everything will taste better.

Yelp
Great food friendly customer service! Shrimp and grits is a good choice for dinner! We love to go there for date night!

Yelp
We needed to kill an hour and found this place. It was our time, and we were able to sit at the bar. We got service immediately. Our food came out surprisingly fast and was so fresh and delicious. My husband and I enjoyed every moment of this flavorful, great seasoned food and the ambiance it had. Yes, it is pricey, but we got the small plates, which were perfect for us and the limited time we had. Definitely recommend it and will come back with more time.

Yelp
I stumbled upon this gem while visiting Augusta. Such a cozy, beautiful restaurant. Gratefully, the noise level was low. So, we were able to enjoy a relaxing, nice evening talking together without any struggles to hear each other. We had a reservation and were promptly seated by a very nice gal. Jonathan was our waiter and he was wonderful! Professional, funny (and really listened to my concerns of not enjoying anything too salty) I really enjoyed the ravioli. It was very yummy. My husband had the heritage pork chop and he really enjoyed it calling it delicious!. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because neither one of us cared for the cornbread. (?) mixture plated under his pork chop. It was room temperature and just not tasteful. Neither one of us could figure out what it was. I would suggest someone sample it and reevaluate that item. ....BUT other than that, it was a wonderful experience!

Yelp
Ohhh my what a spot to eat. This is a first rate restaurant with great food, service and selection of drinks. The pork chop was outstanding, as was the risotto and Mac and cheese. The apple pie dessert is incredible. Highly, highly recommend this restaurant. Great experience and the server Nicole is first rate.

Yelp
Food: 5 Customer Service: 5 Ambience: 5 Location/Parking: 4, nearby street parking Cleanliness: 5 Reservations: Yes, it's a must or bar for walkins This restaurant is situated in the heart of the downtown Augusta, GA and conveniently located on Broad street. If you're familiar with the downtown area, than you already know that there is street parking nearby. The decor is a stunning mix of vintage luxury and modernity. This establishment is considered an American restaurant based on their menu, and they've got a full bar with many wines available. It's does have kind of a small space, but every table does provide enough space between other guests. I'd highly recommend to make reservations first, because they do not have a large bar or a waiting area. The menu offers a wide variety of delicious and mouthwatering starters and main courses that will appeal to everyone. When we arrived at our reservation time, we was quickly greeted by a friendly and courteous staff and seated immediately. Our waitress very professional and explain some of their menu specials for the evening. She was very friendly and patient with us, as we decided on what to order since it was our first experience visiting this business. Everything we ordered came out very fast and was well seasoned. Everything we ate was fresh and delicious. The chefs use the best quality ingredients to produce dishes that are simply delightful. The restaurant also offers a wonderful drink menu, and they offer one of the best wines in the region. This was definitely a great dining experience, and I'm positive that we will be back in near future when we visit this area again.

Yelp
Service was great at the bar and drinks were good. Very neat place inside. Steak was cooked perfect.

Yelp
Frog Hollow really failed last evening. Lack luster service. Very cold breezy dining room. Ordered flank steak which was very tough, shrimp appetizer was overcooked. Waiter was not interested in making the meal right. In my many times at Frog Hollow, I've enjoyed a great dining experience. It was a go to place with clients and visiting family. This experience is unforgivable!

Yelp
I think we may have got caught up in the cash grab of a week that is The Masters. Our server was absent and seemingly inexperienced for the style of dining and price point. He knew almost nothing about the food or ingredients, incorrectly described the specials (one of which was ordered and was a surprise when it came to the table) and didn't clean our empty glassware of the table the entire meal. We asked three times before our water glasses were ultimately never refilled. The dishes were rushed, poorly presented and overcooked and the dessert was mediocre at best. You really felt like they were trying to get a full 3 or four turns on the table. Specifically the wedge salad ... a total misstep. I will give credit for the lasagna sheet mac & cheese that was executed well. There was also a server who kept taking his shirt off to take photos with other guests. The reason for the photos .... a giant athletic number tattooed on his back. I understand that we are all here for a sporting event and that there will certainly be some ass-slapping-comradery, and perhaps it would have been different if it only happened once but four times this man lifted his shirt exposing his entire torso, while still wearing his apron, to take photos with guests. After telling the manager it was made very clear to myself and my partner that she could care less. She also clearly communicated our complaint to the server because as he dropped one of our dessert plates he made a pretty passive aggressive remark to the table. Pretty unprofessional. At least take your apron off dude. All of that wasn't really worth mentioning, as it's a big week in Augusta and things get missed and rushed. Like Valentine's Day in a restaurant -- it's just a necessary evil of the dining world and it's almost always not worth it. HOWEVER with the end of the meal came an unforgivable serving faux pas. With our dessert we asked for 3 cups of decaf coffee and one regular. Our server confused the carafes and even after clarification he was insistent that the decaf was poured in the correct cups. It was most certainly was not. Me and the one of the other diners whom ordered the decaf coffee are highly sensitive to caffeine, the other person has a medical condition that is exasperated by the consumption of caffeine. Needless to say ... It was a rough night. Serving caffeine to someone who ordered decaf is one of the biggest no-no's in serving. I've been a server for 20 years and that is one thing you do not wanna mess up. Some people have heart conditions, other medical conditions or panic disorders that can be severely exasperated by caffeine (or some people just want to sleep) and it is the servers responsibility to know the difference between caffeinated and not. All of the issues otherwise were ... whatever. Like I said -- Big sporting event, tens of thousands of people -- some restaurants just can't handle that kind of pressure and some restaurants just don't care as long as the EOD report has some high numbers on it. This restaurant ticks both of those boxes. But when you do something that can screw with someone health coupled with the complete unprofessionalism of the staff and management ... it's worth speaking up. It was the worst meal we had in Augusta, and also the most expensive.

Yelp
I enjoyed everything about this restaurant from the friendly staff to the low lighting and romantic ambiance to the food. Definitely worth the money and experience!

Yelp
Made reservations here for a bite to eat before seeing a show at The Miller Theater right down the street. We were seated promptly upon arrival. Our server was excellent and was helpful in making some recommendations and answering any questions we had. We settled on sampling several small plates instead of having a large meal. The wedge salad was delicious as was the Fuji Apple carpaccio. We also ordered a dozen oyster Rockefeller that were quite large and also delicious. The macaroni and cheese was another little side we tried and also enjoyed. It was almost a lasagne style portion... quite interesting. Finally, we ended our meal with a delicious chocolate torte dessert that was topped with whipped cream. It was excellent and had a nice crunch on the bottom from the brûlée sugar. Overall, a truly excellent dining experience that we look forward having again here. A+++ food and service! Thanks for an excellent experience!

Yelp
Truly excellent dining experience.. great service . Hip ambulances. Business casual dress code. Tried the scallops and swordfish schnitzel- both good gastronomical experiences

Yelp
The food was good but the service was uptight and they gave such importance to the food at a sacrifice to the guests and the amosphere. I wish I could recommend it but I can't.

Yelp
Service last night was exceptional. Main courses were awesome except pork shoulder was too dry. Good thing I don't wear dentures! Desert was a joke, disappointing would be an understatement!

Yelp
This review actually was hard for me to do as the food and wait staff were wonderful. This was an after work dinner with friends who are avid foodies and love to try new places in Augusta at least 1-2 times a month. I was the first to arrive last night and was told even with a 6:30 reservation, I had to wait for the rest of the party of three to arrive to be seated. Very understandable, we ended up arriving between 6-8 min before and after the reservation time. I was surprised however that other diners arrived and were shown to their parties that were obviously seated at different times. The waiter was great, his recommendations for appetizers and drinks were spot on. The tea hive was lovely. Service was smooth, and I loved the fact that he knew the menu like the back of his hand. Shortly after the appetizers came out I received a phone call that a colleague was able to join us and because of how close the hospital is to the restaurant, he was there in 6-8 minutes. Due to the fact that we were seated at the front of the restaurant, after a few seconds at the hostess desk he joined us at the table. Before we had official finished the initial hello among the four of us we were rudely interrupted by a member of the hostess team that disrespectfully informed us that he was not allowed to eat and not allowed to order anything. The three of us were shocked about not just what she said but the way she said it. He simply stated that he had been in to eat there before but would not be returning. She continued to say that the only way he could eat is if one of us 3 would order his food on our bill. I was embarrassed because of her lack of decorum. Our waiter immediately attempted to rectify the situation and our colleagues food came minutes after our original 3 entrees arrived to the table. Of course the scallops were just as good as the Mac and cheese and the andouille sausage but I had already lost my appetite and had the waiter pack my food so I could just take it home with me. So that there were no other opportunities for this young lady in the striped shirt to HUMILIATE our party we paid with one check. The conversation that had been enjoyable for the most part disintegrated into other examples of poor customer service which left a sour taste in my mouth. As good as the food was, it is a shame that I really have to think twice before going back or even recommending Frog Tavern as a choice of meal. Which of course is a shame because the food is really really good. While the food is important so is the overall experience and being spoken to as if we were not worthy of civility is not worth my dime..

Yelp
Best restaurant in Augusta. Culinary excellence with farm to table ingredients. This restaurant is what my wife and I compare everything too because of the quality of food.

Yelp
As a much belated birthday gift, we went to Frog Hollow Tavern. Luckily, I thought to secure a reservation, because even on the Wednesday evening we went, there was a full house. We were seated relatively quickly near the front of the restaurant. Our waiter was attentive to the point of obsequiousness. He made a point of giving his unsolicited personal critique of a number of menu items. DH selected the Heritage Pork Chop and I the Braised Berkshire Pork Shoulder. Both were delicious and worth the exorbitant prices. My minor complaints were that the temperature inside the restaurant was freezing. We must have been seated directly beneath a vent and the deluge of frigid air was quite distracting; especially since I was dressed for the 100-degree weather outside. In addition, the background music was pleasant but loud enough to disrupt the flow of conversation. For us, this is likely to be a special occasion place and we're looking forward to our next visit.

Yelp
The food? Phenomenal. We loved it all. Everything else? Eh. We got put in the little side room and it was about 15 degrees cooler than the rest of the restaurant. It was warm out and I was wearing a long dress but dang it was cold. Our server wasn't the most knowledgeable. He was very nice and probably new but whenever we asked a questions we had to wait to find out the answer. Overall? Really enjoyed it and will be back!

Yelp
This was my 2nd time dining here. I love the food and atmosphere. The service was also great. The only complaint I have is that my husband saw a cheesecake being taken to another table and he decided he was going to order the same for dessert. When the time came, we ordered but it took a long time for the server to return. When she did return, she stated that unfortunately, the cheesecake wasn't done. Well, that didn't make sense to me. Why wouldn't an established business like this have enough cheesecake ready and available for a Friday or Saturday night? He was pressured into getting something else. I asked another server that came by what was going on with the cheesecake and he'd stated someone dropped it or something of that sort. Our server finally returned with our desserts. She knew we weren't happy. She never bothered to ask if we were ok. She only returned to our table to give us our check. It was the restaurant's fault that there's no cheesecake even though we'd already placed the order. The least they could have done was tell us the truth and apologized. Our waitress should have done that instead of trying to cover up. Despite the fact that he really wanted the cheesecake and how we were treated afterwards, the food was AMAZING! I love a good steak and they didn't disappoint!

Yelp
I made reservations for a group of ladies and the restaurant did not disappoint. We tried several specialty cocktails and different appetizers, meals, and sides! We delighted in the fact that EVERYTHING was delicious! We had mussels, scallops and pork belly, and oysters for appetizers. The ribeye was juicy and cooked to order, the pork chop was tender, and the shrimp and grits was divine. Our server was Josh. And he made us feel so welcomed! He was patient as he explained the menu and the specials of the day. He answered a plethora of questions as we decided on our meals. He made sure our water was filled without asking and made sure we didn't need anything! He also had friends to help clean the table between the appetizers and the entrées. They did this with ease! Because there were so many of us, it was important we were in an area we could converse without interrupting others. We were. It was nice lighting and clean atmosphere. I will definitely be back. Thank you, Frog Hollow Tavern!

Yelp
We celebrated our anniversary by eating at Frog Hollow for the first time. We had heard so many good things from others and they definitely lived up to expectations and more. Food was amazing good! Our server, Nicole, was informative, helpful, and made the experience so enjoyable. Will definitely be returning.

Yelp
Great food and service. We are at the bar because every table was full, even during the week. Reservations suggested.

Yelp
Probably the fanciest restaurant in Augusta, but also the most expensive. Great for special occasions as the atmosphere and service and top tier. The food is also good, the seasonal specials are off the chain. The drinks are also pretty pricey but they are nice and they always make them look special.

Yelp
Fantastic service (Casey rocks!), inviting atmosphere and extraordinary eats. Love that everything is locally sourced farm-to-table. We had baked oyster appetizer, pork shoulder, steak w/ fries and chicken rouge entrees and the crème brûlée dessert. All of it was phenomenal. Some of the best food I've had in a long time. Highly recommend!

Yelp
My husband and I had a double date with friends and came to Frog Hollow. The ambiance was amazing, the service was above and beyond. I got the steak with frites and it was mouth watering. Will definitely be going back for more date nights!

Yelp
Reservation at 11:00. Seated immediately even though there was a 20 minute wait! The Service was slow to start. But it was very busy on this sunny, beautiful Sunday. Aster service started it was awesome! Attentive but not too much. The Food (Breakfast Platter) was delicious! I would have preferred my bacon cooked crisp with no translucent fat. Eggs were cooked nicely without bits of undercooked egg. The hash potatoes were over the top crisp with soft middles and delicious seasonings. The grits were hot!BUT (had a skim on top when served). They proved to be buttery yummy once the skim was removed. Biscuit was huge, hot and super soft and delicious! Loved the experience! Hope to come back to try more items!

Yelp
Party of 4 for our first visit to Frog Hollow Tavern. We made reservations for our evening and arrived a little early, but we only waited a few minutes for our table. The staff went above and beyond for us by preparing an item that had just rotated off the menu the night before. This was very much appreciated. The food was absolutely amazing. I can't say enough good things about this place. Everything was on point. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Excellent food and first class service. Make reservations! Had a group of eight and the service never missed a beat. Drinks are really good too.

Yelp
I don't understand the hype? The food was ... just ok. (I mean if you add a lot of butter and cheese to risotto and grits, yes they are delicious). But the menu choices were just not that varied or creative and it was hard to get excited about any dish. I am a fan of Brussels sprouts but they came out charred and inedible, though they remade the dish for me it still ended up rather tasteless. The Fall Salad was also a letdown. It could've used some candied pecans (it's listed, but mine had zero) and dressing, as it was just a dry pile of radicchio and kale. The service, however, was wonderful! Our server was attentive, kind, and caring. But for a $125 dinner for two, it was a disappointing and forgettable meal.

Yelp
Frog Hollow Tavern is an annual tradition for us. We absolutely adore the staff especially Sydney and Racheal. The food is very fresh and always outstanding . The atmosphere is great!!! We dine here every night while we are at the Masters .

Yelp
It would be really nice if you have on your website, google, yelp, trip advisor, etc that you need a reservation to come to your establishment. My wife and I were visiting from out of town and we had no clue that we needed a reservation. Also the hostess that we encountered that night was not very nice about telling us that we needed reservations.

Yelp
I live locally, and have frequented Frog Hollow over the years. It is the place we typically host our company's leadership gatherings, and a great date night spot. When of everyone everyone's favorite is the Gouda Mac and cheese. In our visit this past Friday, I had the Gouda Mac and Cheese and was very disappointed (that's a first). I am note sure happened, but the cheese looked and tasted processed. The flavor was very off, and the "Gouda was gone." Normally I would give this restaurant five star hands down, but not this visit. Note to the owner/chef: Don't cut corners, your patrons will know.

Yelp
Lee Koehler 2 reviews Dine in | Dinner | $100+ This is my third time coming to Frog Hollow Tavern. Each time I have been with different people, and really enjoyed the food. Each time coming into the restaurant has not been a good experience. We had Ben as our server tonight, and he was a delight! Thank goodness, because we certainly didn't feel welcome when we arrived. All three times, I have been to FHT, I have had a reservation. Tonight, I arrived at exactly the time of our reservation. (8:15) My daughter and I came in while my husband and son-in-law parked the car. We were told we wouldn't be seated until they came into the restaurant, even though I told the hostess, they were just parking the car. So we stood in the lobby until they came inside. What a sad way to treat your customers who have come into your establishment. Especially, when you had our table ready from the get go! Why?!? Just so unpleasant and not welcoming. This was the second time this has happened to me when I had a reservation at this restaurant. When I said something to the hostess this time, she said it was their policy. No apology, just that she couldn't help it....it was the policy of the restaurant. Okay...I certainly don't blame her, but I feel it is no way to start off a good review for a restaurant. No matter what the reasoning from the management is, as to why they have this rule, it doesn't send a warming welcome to your customer who has come to visit your establishment. Bad start! My family all enjoyed our meal, and our excellent service from Ben! He certainly helped us feel more welcome and we enjoyed that he knew the menu and any questions we asked about the food or drinks. Thank you, Ben! You were so attentive to our needs, and had knowledge of the menu along with a wonderful personality. YOU made our meal enjoyable. YOU were the highlight to our dining experience! Then we come to the check and the 3% added fee for using our credit card. Anyone out there hate that as much as we do?!? Why not just add the fee to the food price, and not make the customer feel like they have to pay for something YOU should accommodate for? This is YOUR restaurant! We are coming to YOUR establishment to give YOU our business! It is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY, to pay for the charge fees! Bad finish!! Notice that I haven't said a lot about the food we ordered?!? It was definitely good but, I honestly don't know that I would ever come back. I can't stress enough the importance of welcoming a customer when they make the time to enter your restaurant. Also, let them know you appreciate their business, without charging them another 3% to their bill for the food they ordered from your establishment. You should do better Frog Hollow Tavern. There are many, many good restaurants in the CSRA. Make your community feel welcome when they come thru your doors and when they leave. Again, we thank you Ben! I would promote you as manager if I could!

Yelp
High quality dinning experience. Delicious food, courteous staff, and very nice ambiance. We heard tons of good things about this spot so we decided to try it out! Immediately i was getting "Bones" vibes. Super nice staff, they go above and beyond to make your dining experience as fine dining as possible. This is officially the "fancy" restaurant to in Augusta us now. ..:::FOOD::.. *PORK CHOP: famous, everyone loves this dish.. must try! the size is enormous and tastes just as good as a steak! *MAC & CHEESE: also famous! served lasagna style, with sheet noodles instead of elbows or shells, the gouda is sooo tasty and smells amazing. they have amazing take out options! they have a seasonal menu so you might get a different menu when you visit. Just ask the server whats good and they'll point you in the right direction. ..::SERVICE::.. as i mentioned, it was exceptional! Manager approached the table as well. very nice staff. one thing was that we did make a reservation, and there was only 1 couple who was there before us, but we still had to wait 30 min.. that didnt really start off too well but then the food and service from the server made it better. overall, i rave about this place constantly and cant wait for my next visit!

Yelp
We had dinner here on a Saturday night. We were seated right at our reservation time. Our server was very nice and good at her job. I got the honeydew cocktail and eventually got the saszu (sp?). Both were delicious. My pregnant wife got a blueberry flavored mocktail - she appreciated that they had some mocktails listed on the drinks menu, although she said it was just ok, and that the blueberry flavor was a bit over powering. For appetizers I got the diver scallop with pork belly, and my wife got a simple salad. The scallop and pork belly were really delicious, would definitely have it again. The salad was good but nothing crazy - wife said she would try something else next time. For entrees I got the ribeye and my wife got the pork shoulder. The ribeye was perfectly cooked, tender, definitely one of the best steaks I've had recently. My wife loved hers as well - the pork shoulder was fall-apart tender and really rich, and it came with Gouda Mac and cheese which was bomb. She liked the collards side but thought they went a bit heavy on the vinegar. For dessert we shared the creme brûlée. It had a perfect sugar crust and was a very generous portion. Not the best ever, but we finished it off happily. We left extremely satisfied and with a box of leftovers. We'll definitely eat here again next time we're in town, as the ingredients were super fresh and well prepared, and the menu had a ton of good options. It's not cheap but it is well worth it for a nice occasion.

Yelp
Came here to celebrate my birthday, because this is hands down the best restaurant in Augusta. I made the reservation for 5pm so we could be the first people in and out by the time it got busy. We were in a room by ourself until the end. Anyway, I started with their Tea Hive cocktail because it's one of my favorites. We got the okra appetizer and they were perfectly flash fried light and crispy. I ordered the horse radish entrusted filet mignon and a side of the Gouda Mac and cheese. All amazing. We ended with the caramel apple crumble.

Yelp
Ambience. A Service. A Food. A Price. A It's been a Covid blips of a moment for 2 years...coming back tonight confirms frog hollow and my experience was back on their game!!! Fine dining at its best tonight 4/22/2022. Was able to walk in a snag a table without reservation tonight, albeit I recommend making a reservation. You can make reservations Online or leave a voice mail to call you. . Hostess were helpful and friendly and seated quickly. Could have sat at the bar but it was full...don't need reservations for the bat. Ambient light was a tad too bright in middle of floor, so definitely could read the menu and see the delish foods on the tables! And yea for some tables having white table cloths and always full change out table service!!! Server introduced himself and was very accommodating to order drinks and food when we were ready. Just the 2 of us, my Augusta foodies eating buddy and me. We ordered great bottle of wine...Nice selections worldwide. And ordered way too much food! Heh! Specials were the special broiled oysters special...delicate bites and hints of briniest of the sea. Delish The skinny fries with aioli were HUGE and perfectly crispy hot fried and great for snacking! !!! Of course, I WANTED FoieGras! It's from some farm in Ga that feeds humanely according to the server. Beautiful unctuous bites of glandular butter! The Crab cake was 96% crab and perfectly seasoned and lively accompanying a micro green and fave bean and pea salad! Gorgeous! Then to finish was the daily special of inch thick moist pork chop cooked perfectly medium! With cornbread croutons and medley veggies! The buttery cornbread croutons was a unique edible experience. Service , food, drinks , ambience ...and clean bathrooms with chests of cloth towels! I'm a FaN!!!

Yelp
This place offers a "butcher steak", whatever that is, and it's tough, and the side item is half a bag of french fries. That's it. A tough piece of meat and fries, for $44. What a fkn joke.
