Frogs Bakery - Review - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Frogs Bakery makes regular appearances at the Burbank, Studio City, South Pas, and Brentwood Farmers’ Markets - but for the first time, this excellent bakery is also offering delivery (their schedule is sort of complicated, so check it out here). In addition to a bunch of whole grain sourdough breads, they’ve also got some great pastries (especially their Salty Croissant, filled with spinach and cream cheese). Order delivery through their website, or check their Instagram for their Farmers’ Market schedule. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

I bought their bread and pastries at the Santa Monica Market where they keep a weekly stall. It’s always busy so it must it’s good. And it is but their baked goods are always going to be next-day fresh rather than same day fresh when buying at the market as they have to be baked the day before to be able to package them ready for the market day. That being said, the products are really good, especially their filled donut holes! I had both the chocolate filling and the cream filling and they’re both finger licking good.

Google
Skip the plane ticket to France and go here! I've been to France quite a bit, and I can honestly say these parallel the ones over seas. The flakiness of the croissants, texture of the scones and the impeccable flavors of all the baked goods we got.. We will be back!

Google
Hidden gem! Fresh tasty bakery. Hidden in an unexpected location. But don't be fooled. They have some of the best baked goods. They have a small parking lot. There's a couple of tables outside but most people pickup to go orders. Once they run out of a product... That's it. So go early :)

Google
I stumbled upon this bakery because I was tired of donuts and wanted something different. The Lady at the counter was very nice and answered my questions. I had the mocha croissant, the Madeline and apricot and strawberry little jam containers. The croissant comes pretty close to the ones in France. The croissant was very flaky and tasty. I’m glad I stumbled across it and it brings back memories of France.

Google
The best almond croissant ever. And the morning buns are delicious. These are high-quality pastries. Nothing like I’ve ever had before. I’m very pleased to have discovered frogs bakery.

Google
This is a commercial bakery that has a small retail counter. Fresh baked organic baked goods can be purchased and they are amazingly delicious. Cinnamon rolls and Almond Croisants are the best. They are perfectly balanced without being overly sweet.

Google
The best croissant in LA county. I've had croissants everywhere from Paris to NY to Boston to SF to LA. It's obviously one of my favorite desserts. But this is hands down the most authentic and best. It rivaled the ones I had in Paris. No fridge needed, their pastries last about 10 days outside. I rebake the croissants for like 2 minutes in the oven and it's like crispy brand new.

Google
Stumbled unto this bakery about a week ago. After my favorite croissant outlet closed due to covid, this was a welcome addition and became my new go-to for French pastry. The lady at the counter was very nice and welcoming, especially after I told her it was my first time. I haven't had the chance to try their entire menu yet, but I am glad to find a new spot to spoil my family for the weekly pastry. So far, I have their plain, alomonds, and chocolate croissants. These were good enough for me to go back for more.

Yelp
First time visit. I stop by to get my team some pastries. I got there around 7:45am and there were so many options they all looked delicious! I was greeted by a lovely soul named Lisa. She was very positive and friendly (love this early morning). I explained what I was looking for and she made it happened! I didn't realize that this is a location where you can just pick up and order through like a small window/port. Upon arrival there was one person being helped. I had a large order and I saw 2 more people line up after me who started chatting as I turned and informed them I was getting a large order. The folks in line were also friendly saying it's always good to come early because they sell out quickly and the patrons are delicious. My team and I loved the pastries! I will definitely return! The amazing part is the bread doesn't make you feel heavy in fact it's light even when you had a whole croissant! The taste was delicious for the ones I tried. Great service and Food! Definitely worth stopping by! Go early so you can have options.

Yelp
Outrageous farmers market pricing for what didn't seem or taste like freshly baked. I got 3 pastries for $23 ! A blueberry cronut type, a spinach feta and a croissant. The girl was not too friendly and didn't see to happy to be there.

Yelp
finally made it before they close... (I live in Long Beach and remember when it's too late). I'm so happy I did! we got so many things. The spinach and cheese croissant, the almond croissant, the ham and cheese croissant, the chocolate croissant, the apple turnover, the cinnamon bun and a loaf of sourdough. everything was so fresh and perfectly baked. there was very little ham in the ham and cheese but it oddly was enough. the crispness of the croissants is perfect. I thought the turnover was going to be thick and tough but it was soooooo light with layers of flaky goodness. the almond croissant had some Nutella and cream (I think) concoction inside and it made my eyes roll to the back of my head because it was so delicious. my favorite thing by far (and thats saying a lot because everything was more perfect than the last) was the spinach and cheese croissant. we shared everything among our family and this made me wish I had gotten one for myself (2 if I'm being really honest)! Top it off with the amazing service. the lady working was so nice and so patient with me while I tried to decide what to order. she was helpful and made good suggestions for me. I wish I had taken photos but honestly some things didn't even make it to the car without us taking a piece out if it lol Go quickly and try. You won't be sorry. 10/10 highly recommend

Yelp
This cute little bakery is tucked away in the most unseemingly location. But once you find it, you can find a wide selection of pastries. They offer unique flavors like almond, pistachio, ham and cheese, and more. You can also opt to get your croissant filled with flavored cream filling. Service was great and it's a small shop but runs efficiently. I do with the ham and cheese croissants were stuffed a bit more as it seemed to have only a small slice of ham. The almond croissant was flavorful and would get again.

Yelp
This organic bakery has unique treats that are absolutely delicious! You can taste the quality in every bite. I wanted to buy one of everything! The flakiness of the croissants were impressive!

Yelp
I was going to this other place nearby I won't say no names, but the line was as crazy as the prices. Looked up other bakery's near by and found frogs I was in and out in minutes with two bags of fresh baked goodness a a very reasonable price. Best believe next time I'm in the area I'm Hopping by Frogs fasho!

Yelp
I love visiting my local Torrance Farmers Market. Exploring the variety of fruit and vegetable stands, along with the various food stalls, is always one of my favorite activities. One standout vendor is Frogs Organic Bakery, known for its fresh-baked goods. One Saturday, I noticed a super long line at Frogs Organic Bakery. Curious about the buzz, I decided to see what all the hype was about. That's when I spotted their enormous croissants, which instantly caught my attention. I made a mental note to come back and try them. Fast forward to the first weekend of 2025! I made my first trip to the Torrance Farmers Market for the year and stopped by the Frogs Organic Bakery stall. The giant croissants were hard to miss, so I decided to try an almond croissant for $6. The large Pistachio Morning Bun also looked tempting, so I picked one up as well, also for $6. Of the two, the Almond Croissant was my favorite. From the first bite, the sweet almond paste inside stole the show. The paste was smooth, sweet, and perfectly balanced. This almond croissant is a winner! The Pistachio Morning Bun, on the other hand, didn't quite meet my expectations. While the generous coating of pistachios on the outside initially drew me in, the flavor was just okay. The bread itself was very airy and light, but it lacked the richness I had hoped for. Overall, I enjoyed trying out Frogs Organic Bakery. If I visit again, I'd definitely grab another Almond Croissant or perhaps try their Strawberry Croissant, which also looked delicious.

Yelp
It's a small shop but there are tons of options and delicious pastries! The cinnamon roll was huge. It had a nice crispiness and sweetness. No indoor seating but there's a couple of outdoor seating. Parking can be limited.

Yelp
I've seen Frogs at my local farmers market in SGV but never tried. I was in the South Bay Area and noticed they had a brick and mortar location so I decided to give it a go. First off, I wake up pretty early for work so I was excited that they open at 6:00 am! I ordered a latte and a chocolate almond croissant. Frogs is definitely true value. The quality and size of the pastries definitely are amazing for the price. The almond croissant came with a filling and wasn't too sweet! Menu prices for the latte was also pretty affordable. I was also intrigued by the pistachio bun will need to try it another time! The cashier was very friendly, prompt, and communicative. She handed the pastries we ordered first and let us know she will call us when the lattes were ready. It was a quick turn around less than five minutes when I went. The interior is very small and is more of a grab and go kinda spot. However, there is some outdoor seating available to enjoy your drink and baked goods.

Yelp
Frogs has an unassuming location but inside you will find croissant paradise. My personal favorites are the chocolate and almond croissants but even the plain croissants are an experience. Their breads and rolls are also amazing and we have picked them up to bring to Thanksgiving or other group dinners. They're always a hit. Great service from the helpful cashiers who are always up for answering questions or making recommendations. They have a few small tables outside but you may want to take your items to go and eat elsewhere.

Yelp
The Pastries are delicious, so fresh and tasty. I have tried many of their pastries and never left a review. They need 10 Stars. I got them at the Alhambra Farmers Market the ladies are always so sweet and welcoming. I recommend so much to go get some Pastries. Will visit the actual bakery soon..

Yelp
Have been wanting to try Frogs bakery for quite some time now and finally made it in this week. It was about 12 minutes before closing time yet they still had a good variety of breads. Lady who took my order was very friendly and helpful which is always appreciated I ended up taking home some almond and chocolate croissants which were delicious, blueberry muffin, some beignets, guava pastry, chocolate cookie, chocolate croissant and of course a loaf of sourdough bread. Family and I enjoyed the pastries and look forward to next time.

Yelp
Great little bakery serving up tasty French style pastries and cafe beverages. Get here early though because certain items sell out and they have limited hours (close early). Definitely check this place out.

Yelp
Saw this heading to our AirBnb and saw the raving reviews. Came here on a Sunday morning around 7 and no lines when we arrived. A tiny shop baked with love various sweets, croissants and baked goods. We got a chocolate almond croissant, chocolate croissant, ham and cheese croissant and a quiche. Everything is delicious but I felt the croissants are a bit soggy. Had to put it in the oven to crisp it up. Coffee is pretty basic, nothing special. Cool little shop!

Yelp
Carb me up! Lol. There were two bread vendors at the Torrance Farmers Market this week. The competing one didn't have any labels on their bread but, was available to answer any questions. I walked around and found Frog's Bakery and their items are clearly labeled. Both vendors had that lovely smell of fresh bread. At Frog's I was also greeted and the breads I was interested in both were made with whole what flour. There are also gluten free options for those that require that. French baguettes and individual breakfast breads were also on hand. The representative said it was a slow morning and offered me a deal (buy one get one free). That was amazing because normally folks at the farmers market are buying their goods. A few days later, my breads are still tasting and smelling amazing especially after toasting them. They are also great dipped in olive oil. From other reviews, I am informed they have a local industrial location where breads are available for sale during business hours. I would definitely return to the Farmers Market for their bread!

Yelp
Awesome organic bakery! The pastries are fresh and oh so delicious. The fan favorites are the zucchini muffins, almond croissants, and the blueberry-lemon scones. But if you want to know a secret...all their pastries are incredibly good! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. And the service is top-notch! There have been a couple times when I was unable to get out of the car, and they were so kind to bring my order to me. The other times I have gone in, it's been easy to order and get my favorites. Heads up: It's pretty small inside so there might be a line outside. Trust me--they are fast and really only one or two people can fit in there at a time. Tip: if you want to try the zucchini muffins, highly recommend calling and seeing if they still have some available. Those sell out early especially on the weekends! That's how you know they are bomb!

Yelp
Love this place!!! Everything I have tired so far is top notch! I like how early you are opened. This helps me a ton, since I wake up early! So far within a months, I have been about 10 times.

Yelp
We found this bakery selling goods at the Torrance Farmers Market on Saturday. It was one of the few places that had a line. They were almost sold out by 11:30am! It was $10 for 3 pastries. I loved how everything was organic and flavor wise it tasted great. We got a guava danish and a few flavored croissants. Definitely need to stopby the shop next time when I am in the area.

Yelp
Fresh, large, crispy croissant like the one you can get in Paris. So good and the service is fast with the friendly staff. The place is small and cozy. They do accept apple pay so easy and checkout is a breeze. Of course the croissants are fluffy, crispy, buttery, and delicious! Also, they have vegan croissants as well.
google avatar

Joel A.

Yelp
Small local bakery with *AMAZING* vegan pastries. It's not fully vegan, so be prepared for a limited selection but don't be deterred. The croissants are the best I've had by far. Still trying to get my hands on the almond croissant. The chocolate is next level. If you're looking for vegan pastries, I recommend stopping by earlier rather than later. Pro-tip: All their regular bread loaves are vegan.

Yelp
Finally tried at the farmer's market and boy was it an expensive disappointment. Almost 17 bucks for 3 items (maple donut, "ham" and cheese croissant, baguette). If this is French Tradition, let's just say that apple fell a mile away from that tree. Worst donut I've had, flat, mushy bite to the dough. Ham and cheese croissant, cheated with the ham. Instead of a whole slice they cut small sections and stuck it in the ends. Whole mid section was missing ham and stingy on the cheese too. Croissant itself had no flakiness to it, flat like the donut. Baguette only looked like one, inside was a dense dough. None of the 3 items I got had that nice pull and slight chew to the bite that any of those baked goods should have had. Left a very flat impression.
google avatar

Steff D.

Yelp
Love this local bakery !! They offer a variety of goods such as cookies, zucchini and carrot muffins. Sourdough bread is also a must. They do close early and run out fast but you can always place an order a day in advance. Employees are kind and friendly.

Yelp
Seems like I waited too long to write a review. The appeal of this bakery was it's proximity to home and the quality of their pastries (close to what I experienced in Paris). However, the quality has gone down since I found out about the place around December last year. Since then, I visited their bakery multiple times and once at the Torrance farmer's market. Their product used to be consistent every time I visited every 1-2 weeks. However, I went hiatus for 3 months and was shocked to come back and notice the significant decline in quality! The pastries are the same price, but the amount of butter they put is unimagineable! They have nutrition facts on their site, but it's probably not accurate anymore. The croissant oozes with molten butter. :( Not to mention, the shapes are also odd and it doesn't taste as fresh as I remembered it. Either the owner went on vacation (and the staff haven't been following the original recipe) or management completely changed. I'll wait some weeks and try again (then maybe update this review). If the quality is now the new norm, although unfortunate, I'd have to move on to another bakery. Even if it means driving 10-15 minutes more...

Yelp
I'm a regular customer at the farmers market stand in Fullerton and I'm EXTREMELY disappointed that the vegan croissants are made with margarine!!! Everyone now day is educated on the horrible affects and how unhealthy margarine is!! How can a bakery who understands the importance of organic ingredients put margarine in their products????Extremely disappointed I paid 5$ for trash .I used to but the non vegan but now I have gastrointestinal issues and I need ti stay clear from animal products and inflammatory oils which are margarine and other cheap processed oils . You should be ashamed to sell that crap. Again most who are educated on organics are aware of how bad margarine , seed oils and vegetables oils are . The sales person should have mentioned it .
google avatar

Anne A.

Yelp
Note to self: $5 croissant, but these croissants don't taste fresh and not worth the price. They were not crisp on the outside and had huge air pockets on the inside. Chocolate croissant was purchased at Burbank Farmers Market. I have tasted better in LA. Average.
google avatar

Heather R.

Yelp
I tried this bakery at the Irvine farmers market. I am a huge fan of baked goods, and couldn't walk away without trying the lemon poppyseed muffin! It was large and looked incredible. My husband and I both took a bite...and..we could see lemon zest but couldn't taste any lemon. It barely even tasted sweet...kind of like butter. It felt like ingredients were missing...I've never had such a bland muffin before. I was so disappointed because their pastries looked really yummy, but unfortunately this will not be my go to spot at the farmers market.
google avatar

Hosea J.

Yelp
I've been here several times now. Their pastries are not bad, but also not a place that would come to mind if I had a pastry craving. Too expensive for the lack of quality. Actually, I've never had a great pastry outside of Mission Hills back in the early 90s.
google avatar

Yelp
Best Croissants. Gotta get the almond croissant. The lady at the counter is super nice as well.

Yelp
Okay. Picture this: you're rushing around town on New Year's Eve in search of food ingredients for a last minute dinner party. You forgot to eat breakfast due to stress, so now you're hungry--specifically, you're hungry for a flaky crust, sweet filling, and strong coffee. That's how I ended up at Frogs Organic Bakery. Originally, I wanted the cinnamon roll, but they were already out. I decided on the pain au chocolat, raspberry croissant, and chocolate chip cookie. I already had homemade coffee, so I didn't order any of their lattes. I am no pastry expert, but the pain au chocolat brought me so much joy. The warm crust was so flaky and the butter seemed to melt in your mouth. The gooey chocolate made me feel as if everything was going to be okay. It was just so perfect. I didn't try the raspberry croissant until later. It did not disappoint either. I toasted it up in my oven and it had the same flaky crust as the pain au chocolat. The raspberry croissant didn't have a filling. I would prefer a filling since I love a good jam! The cookie was good--not a showstopper. I enjoyed it with oat milk. Comforting when warmed up. The server was polite. The bakery seems to be a bread factory? They sell the pastries in a narrow space. I don't completely understand their business but they were running out of pastries when I showed up around 10 am. They are very popular! Come early!

Yelp
Frogs is such a gem! We stumbled across these guys on a weekend farmers market visit in Irvine-- their booth was mosquito net tented and irresistible to all those with eyes. Everything looked so hearty and generous with the portions. What could've been the toughest besides trying to rip off a flaky piece of croissant was deciding what to get and stuff my face with for the next 24 hours. Flavors were amazing and the cream cheese topping/filling on the spinach and cheese croissant was such a welcomed texture and taste. Just slightly sweet and tangy but with all the crème-curdled goodness one expects from a danish. Plenty of withering spinach crying for more teeth. This has gone in a weird direction- let's digress. The almond chocolate croissant was different. Plenty of gooey marzipan filling and peppered chocolate bits throughout and extremely flavorful. If anything I have to be a STEWPID BEETCH and say is that the dough is tough for how flaky and buttery they look. It handles incredibly well but with my crooked dumb unaligned teeth it took some cave men ripping of the flesh. The guava cheese danish was bomb. Plenty of filling without being overpowering. But the dough was also-- made with the same kind of laminated dough. However it is they made it it's flavor town and satisfaction avenue off of delicious parkway. I wish I could be there ten minutes before the bakery opens in the morning and just mousy bite a piece of everything.

Yelp
All the baked good I've tried are amazing. My favorites are the chocolate almond croissants and zucchini walnut muffins

Yelp
Just discovered this place hidden Gem, city of Gardena organic French bakery no wonder they have 5 star rating this place is amazing. Same parking lot at the Honda guys

Yelp
I stopped by Sunday to place my order for pick up on Monday my order for a staff meeting. When I walked in to the bakery by Liza, she walked me through the menu and provided suggestions. I was happy with the suggestions. I was happy that I could place the order beforehand. I didn't want risk not have pasties on the day. When I picked up my order, Liza made sure I was happy with the order and helped me to the car. The pastries were a hit at the office meeting. I had more than enough and some shared because of the large portion. . I heard someone say, this is so buttery and someone else said yes and flaky too. Yum! My day was amazing. I really appreciated it!

Yelp
Frogs bakery was a hit at our Thanksgiving dinner. My wife called in about a week earlier and placed an order for an apple pie and pumpkin cake with cream cheese filling. When i arrived to pick up the order, they struggled to find it and took a good several minutes. When they did finally find the order, I also bought a few pistachio buns (very tasty and highly recommended), then I paid and left. Got home, opened the box, and found an apple pie and pumpkin bread. Needless to say, I was taken back since I showed the gals the email thread of the order when they were looking for the order. The 3 star review is for the service, which I even tipped on. The bakery items were very good and tasty. I would definitely say Frogs Bakery is a great choice.

Yelp
Everyone is so nice and the pastries and cookies are so good. Lots of interesting selection too.

Yelp
This is for Maddie who was at farmers market vendor in Torrance. We used to love this bakery at farmers market in Torrance until this morning. It was a long line and I was with my toddler and didn't have cash with me. I wanted to know if they take Venmo so I asked her while we're on the line if she takes Venmo. She shook her head. I asked her she takes cash, she shook her head again. No "yes" or "no" or anything. Super rude. Never go back again.

Yelp
We love your local spot. Support local businesses! We always get our brioche buns from here

Yelp
I've stopped by their booth at the Redondo Beach farmer's market, and everything has been so good. Perfect with a coffee on a Sunday morning. So far some of the things I've tried are their croissant, a scone and a pistachio pastry thing (forgot the exact name lol). All delicious and huge. Highly recommend you grab something if you ever see their booth and I hope to check out their bakery location in Gardena some time!

Yelp
Me encanta El Vegan Almond croissant. Muy atentos en El servicio y hay mesitas afuera para tomar cafe.

Yelp
I always buy my sourdough here it's truly the best. I will never buy it anywhere else. Their pastries are heavenly, I love their croissants! They're so delicious, no cafe or coffee shop can compare. Everything is always fresh and made with quality ingredients.

Yelp
Tried their Zucchini Walnut Muffin which was scrumptious and moist. It was a bit on the pricier side (almond croissant muffin was $11). They were a vendor at the Irvine Farmers Market and they also have various breads and other pastries like almond and chocolate croissants.

Brittany W.

Yelp
Always fresh, always delicious. I go out of my way to get breakfast pastries here whenever I can spare the time. The blueberry lemon scone is lovely

Yelp
This place is a great Korean bakery. There are a lot of good choices for bread and cakes! The is very hard-working and diligent too. The vibes are cool too. This bakery is absolutely 5 stars.

Yelp
Really good almond croissant! I worked for the highest rated bakery in the country & this is the real deal, no gimmicks ;) Nice surprise so close to a work site.
google avatar

Mario D.

Yelp
Their almond croissants are the best I've ever had! No exaggeration here, they were incredibly fresh and delicious. Although, if I had to offer a small critique, they were too generous with the almond paste (which is gooey goodness) compared to most bakeries. But honestly, that's not a complaint at all - I loved!

Yelp
I had this bakery bookmarked for a while after reading the great Yelp reviews. After dropping my son's car off at Honda Guys a few months ago, I saw that the bakery shared the same parking lot! I practically jumped out of the car while my husband was still parking it. The bakery is a little space with a walk-up counter. But don't let their simplicity fool you...their pastries are deliciously fresh and sell out quickly! I've tried their walnut raisin bread and blueberry lemon scones. The bread freezes nicely and is perfect in the morning toasted and eaten with Kerigold butter. The scones are not too sweet and delicious too. They have some seasonal items and I got a couple loaves of their strawberry pistachio bread and more scones today. I'd recommend calling a day in advance to be sure that you get the items that you want. A nice girl named Maddy is so helpful and pleasant and you may see her at the counter when you stop by. They share the lot with a few other automotive businesses, but we've been lucky so far in finding a parking spot for a quick pick-up.

Germane G.

Yelp
Finally made it to Frog's! The location could easily be missed. But once you're there, you can feast on the baked items they have while supplies last! Best to go early. It's a very small place, hardly any seating. Tried their almond croissants and their butter croissants. Their pastries were huge and delicious. Not sure if all of their pastries are organic but they advertise organic. Can't wait to go back and try their other ones. Great place to buy fresh pastries.
google avatar

Yelp
One time, I was very disappointed because I didn't get an almond croissant, which wasn't really the bakery's fault. They are just too good and too delicious to be any left if you don't come early for them! I can guarantee you, you will never find better almond butter croissant anywhere else! And they were so apologetic about it! Like I even felt bad I was disappointed and left not a good review at first! And I want to apologize for my review lol But that what makes a customer service great is the way they handled my concern and made me feel like I was important as a customer. Thank you! I really love the bakery and welcoming environment you create there ! 5 star, great people, delicious pastries! Go and try it yourself!! just don't eat all my almond croissants lol
google avatar

Dan B.

Yelp
I decided to come back to give Frogs another shot after I left a bit disappointed my first time, and I'm glad I did! I've actually come back a few times now since actually! I love the assortment of Pastries you can choose from, and from time to time they mix it up. Staff is upbeat and friendly. I recommend the cinammon Bun, the scones, and ham and cheese! I felt the Rasberry Croissant could use more of the Rasberry flavor coming through, but still delicious. I still wish they had some indoor dining area and some great coffee options to go with the delicious pastries. This is essentially a commercial kitchen with an order window, but they do have some seating if you'd like to stay for s bit, but for most part it's grab and go. The #1 reason you should come here in my opinion is that you won't find a better place that offers these prices for the quality of Pastries. Check out the prices on the menu of some of the pictures you'll see on their Yelp business page. $3 for an artisan pastry in 2024?! For the value-conscious, who love Pastries, Frogs is a MUST! If it's on the way, cut the middle man from those 3rd wave coffee shops and go direct to Frogs for your pastries. Enjoy!
