So glad I got to visit the one and only Fruition. If you're not familiar with them, they are one of the best chocolatiers in the US. Seriously, try their chocolate. They have all the free samples you want. In addition to their bars, they have caramels, cocoa, covered nuts, milkshakes, ice cream sandwiches, ice cream, and espresso.

Google
Just wonderful! We have gone to Fruition many times. This past time we grabbed chocolates as a gift for family coming in from out of town-- as a way to show off this incredible chocolate shop. The bars were fabulous, the cookies were insane, and the confections were so detailed. Happy everything is gluten free and no risk of cross contamination at all!

Google
Fruition Chocolate is the most delicious BEST chocolate you will ever eat. I have ordered several times because I love it so much. The order comes quickly and very carefully packed to protect the contents. You won't be disappointed!

Google
me and my family went to this shop to get nice chocolates for my mom as a present and we asked the staff there what the best stuff to get was and they said that this truffle was the “best seller” and when my mom tried the “best seller” she gagged after taking a tiny bite of it. its basically a piece of trash. I don’t know why anybody would ever want to get this. it’s a tiny chocolate layer on the outside and disgusting jelly on the inside. i heard there bars are good but i don’t know why they suggested this absolute nightmare of a piece of chocolate

Google
Went to see the kaleidoscope and there is not much cell reception and the space is mostly forests and fields, so to see a truly high-quality chocolate shop pop up as the result of an unassuming “CHOCOLATE” sign…I was flabbergasted (in the best way). I dont believe they are direct trade. May be fair trade? They do roast and process all beans on site (and there’s a glass in the shop to watch through). They have samples of nearly everything, coffee, tea, AND they use Del’s local ice cream and add their chocoalte to make a chocolate ice cream which you can try plain or as a sundae (one of which involves their flourless chocolate cake)! Everyone was so friendly and it was truly one of the best chocolate shops I’ve visited (I visit many). Fully accessible. Plenty of outdoor seating and parking.

Google
Fruition Chocolates is our local "craft chocolate" store. They have a bunch of different flavors, shapes and sizes to buy. Stop in and get a small treat for yourself or pick a large or small batch to have boxed up and given as gifts. (They also have some really nice greeting cards if you need some!) But the staff and the chocolate here are wonderful. Please support them and keep them going!

Google
There are samples available for almost every single product in the building! And the only real coffee for miles 😉 that espresso is legit! Try the Bourbon Caramel Latte. Seriously good chocolate, seriously good people 💗 nothing comes close

Google
Really incredible chocolate. Whilst the truffles were fantastic, just the actual basic chocolate bars they produce here are next level. We bought a variety pack of 4 which came with a bonus bar. Friendly service as well and the kids, unsurprisingly, loved it!

Yelp
So yummy! Got the bourbon bar, milk chocolate, salted caramel chocolate, chocolate nougat nut bar (like a high end snickers!) and salted dark chocolate. Huge variety w samples in case you're not familiar w it like us. Wish we had room for ice cream!

Yelp
This is a 'holy shit' moment! Fruition originally made their mark in the heart of Woodstock about 10 years ago in a tiny spot only offering chocolate bars. But my oh my- are they going strong at this much bigger location on Route 28 where all the chocolates are made on premises. Shokan, NY- just 10 minutes away from Woodstock, may not be on your radar for high-end chocolate but that will change as soon as you come here and get your hands on the melt-in-your-mouth, delicious chocolate truffles. If it's fair trade chocolate you're looking for in an honest and transparent way from the Dominican Republic (yes, we have whole chocolate farms), Bolivia, Colombia and Peru, this is the place for you. Fruition takes pride in using only the finest ingredients and with flavors like Chai+ Cinnamon Latte, Lemon+Poppyseed +Rosemary and Lemon+ Lavender in the mix, this place is where to go to discover the unusual. You will not miss the royal blue+yellow exterior when you drive on Rt.28 This space is grand and has an open kitchen where you'll see folks at work. I wasted no time and ordered a hot chocolate and a box of 6 truffles that were silky-smooth. But it was actually the passion fruit that I wanted more of. The passion fruit was a true taste and nothing artificial. It actually took me to my homeland. My girl Leia? was a doll and delivered service with a smile while I was here. For the quality, price was right. This spot will be my go-to place when I'm driving by here.

Yelp
This is absolutely my favorite chocolate place in Upstate. This is a small store located in Shokan, New York. The service was excellent as the woman walked us through all different flavors they have and even provided samples for those. I must say the sample size was as big as the bars itself and they were so yum. We ended up buying the chocolate covered Almonds named the "Miso maple Almonds". They are so rich in taste. We were given another bar as a complementary since our purchase was above minimum. Must try place if you are a sweet tooth.

Yelp
Great local chocolate factory crafting a variety elegant dark chocolate delicacies with cocoa beans from around the world. A must try if you are in the area. All cocoa pod beans are processed and roasted in house. A viewing window is an available in the main store area that lets you watch when they are making chocolate. They also have a great coffee bar serving amazing hot chocolates and coffee based beverages.

Yelp
A must-stop when we are in this area of the Catskills. Worth every penny. I love dark chocolate with almonds & sea salt...the smoky roasted flavor of the almonds in Fruition's version is fantastic. Picked up a few gifts and also tried a bunch of their individual chocolates. Haven't bought any bars b/c I just couldn't decide, there were too many choices.

Yelp
Bean-to-bar Fruition Chocolate Works offers up superb, high-quality chocolate in bars, caramels, nuts, sipping, and other forms. I've been consuming their chocolate for a few years now but finally got to visit their store in the Catskills. You can even take a peek into their kitchen while browsing! The store sells additional treats you might not see on their website along with other non-chocolate items like books and Rancho Gordo beans and also various drinks. I tried their collaboration with Bread Alone, olive oil sourdough truffles ($15.95). From the name, they sounded skeptical, but the breadcrumbs contributed a satisfying, panko-like crunch and didn't distract from the heavenly filling. Yum. I spotted some picnic tables in the back; getting some pizza at the pizza place next door and sipping a chocolate-y beverage while enjoying the landscape sounds delightful!

Yelp
Patrick Roger has the greatest chocolate bars I have ever experienced. Why would I mention a competitor of this chocolate shop, and give them a five-star review? It doesn't make sense. Well, it's because Fruition's chocolate bars blew me out of the water. I have finally found a more local chocolate shop that achieves the smoothest, most well-balanced chocolate bars I have found in the United States. That's why it's five stars. I would need to have their bars side-by-side with Patrick Roger, but I bet I would prefer both. I wouldn't be able to choose. I wouldn't necessarily get their bon bons a second time, as they were underwhelming for me. The bars are the stars. I had a huge selection, and most of those in the 60-80% range were exceptional. I enjoyed their special, the lavender milk with popping candies, their brown butter milk, their salted milk, etc. I don't think I didn't enjoy more than 1 of 20 bars. I will continue to have this chocolate shipped to my door, until the end of time.

Yelp
Crazy expensive. If you've got money to spare on decent chocolate, then try it. But it's way too rich for me and I don't mean the chocolate.

Yelp
An absolute delight. Exquisite. Delicious. Beautiful tasting. Excellent customer service. A fun experience to share with friends and family.

Yelp
This place is amazing. I got a delicious sundae and a tray of brownies. I can't wait to go back. I want to try the ice cream sandwich next time.

Yelp
After taking a quick walk down rt 28 in Shokan we passed by Fruition Chocolate. I'd been to the neighboring village pizza a hundred times but never stopped in. We finally did today. We were greeted by two very nice folks who explained the shop to us and how they import the beans (are they beans? I don't recall the terminology) and refine and create the chocolate in house. Then we were encouraged to try the samples. There were many chocolates there that just made my tastebuds so happy. But nothing like the almond butter and jelly candies. I will surely be back next time we come down to the Hudson Valley and visit my mom. I also plan on adding some of their chocolate to my bridesmaids gifts next summer.

Yelp
Excellent chocolate bars! This bean to bar chocolatier sells chocolate bars, chocolate dipped hazelnuts, almonds, cocoa nibs, jalapeño corn nuts, and even crystalized ginger with matcha couverture. There are glass jars with samples available in front of the displays of their award winning chocolates. The packaging is elegant and simple, with good descriptions of the flavor notes. The young staff are low key. They let you mill around and browse, without sales pressure or preciousness about the locally made products. They don't have to because you'll willingly drop some funds for the absolutely delicious chocolates here (expect to pay $8-12 per bar). You can see the working kitchen through glass windows behind the counter. My only feedback or wish would be that they sell single serving size chocolates for gifts or portion control. Chocolate lovers won't be disappointed here. Even the white chocolate was very good!

Yelp
Sometimes in a place you wouldn't normally look or without trying you find the most special of places. On a short walk on a weekend in the Catskills I saw a sign that said "chocolate open" and I was thinking in a small town like Shokan that it would a old fashioned candy shop with an old lady behind the counter and creaky wooden floors. However what I uncovered was a modern full scale chocolate making bonanza where everything from roasting and refining and everything involved in the chocolate making process. There are jars of samples of all the fresh chocolate and the smell of roasting beans in the air. It's not what you'd expect unless you went in there with a full knowledge. I tried a bunch of their wares from dark chocolate which is one of my favorites and usually a bit bitter but these were fragrant and fruity. I've never had them so fresh. To brown butter milk chocolates and even something that was unexpectedly delicious. A white chocolate sweet corn and currant bar. That literally tastes like someone dipped a ear of corn into white chocolate. Something that saying it doesn't sound that good. But was surprisingly amazing. But what stole the show I'm sad isn't on their website to order more and I'll have to get it when I return to the area. What they call an "AB&J", it's a layer of fresh almond butter and a layer of berry jelly wrapped in some of their amazing chocolate. It's one of the finest candies I've ever had the flavors explode in your face and it makes you want so much more. Now the prices here will give you a little sticker shock if you've ever bought a decent bar of chocolate from a grocery store. Usually they are about 3$. But since this is as fresh as fresh can get and totally handmade and produced in this shop. The bars range from 8-15$ each. But I'll tell you. They are worth every penny. I spent about $30 there and got a few bars. A dark chocolate crunch bar which uses cacao nibs instead of rice for its crunch. And a brown butter milk chocolate and some of the AB&J candies. And it was worth every penny. If you have a sweet tooth and think you've had good chocolate or candy in the past. Give this little shop a stop. I promise you. They will change your mind about everything you think you might know about candy.

Yelp
Amazing selection of artisan chocolate. Went to the open tasting in August and sampled a variety of ganaches, flavored cacao and ended up getting a host of samples. Great prices, aura and crowd. Good luck!

Yelp
Found this place by accident when driving up towards Ashokan. It just sort of appeared at the corner of my eye and I quickly turned the car around and drove in. What a find. They are one of very few (possibly the only) "bean to bar" chocolate shop in the area. They have high standards of ethics with their ingredient choices. The are *wildly* creative. And they have samples... (grin) How can you possibly go wrong here???!! But I will warn you. Tasting it will inevitably lead you to a life long addiction to their marvelous offerings. They have all the "standards" that you would expect from a chocolate shop. After you've tasted them and reconciled with yourself that it's the only chocolate you ever need in your life going forward, you take a step beyond, into wild side of Fruition...like the Thai Chili and Basil chocolate "kisses", or the Amano Cardamom Pepper bar... You start to wonder why you ever ate a Hershey bar. Truly amazing experience, every time. The best part is that I'm starting to see their offerings turn up all over the place in specialty shops. Go local!!!

Yelp
Beautifully wrapped and deliciously tasteful. I love all their interesting flavors and each one is better than the other. You can tell they use fine quality cocoa and turn it into a delight. Really yummy chocolate bars

Yelp
A business is service and product. Fruition, and especially it's owner Bryan, hits the mark on both. - The chocolate bars are distinctive and flavorful. The other products are right on the mark with a hint flavor, delicate and distinctive. The PB&J bonbon was excellent even though I hate PB&J. - We stopped by on a sunny summer Saturday and they had just opened. Bryan stopped what he was doing to make us discover the range of products, answer all the (I am sure stupid) questions we had. When we left, he offered to include a freeze pack in the bag because it was a sunny day and we feared our chocolate bars would melt. Bryan and Fruition hit the mark perfectly.

Yelp
What a celebration for my tastebuds! We tasted and purchased the following: Brown Butter Bourbon Caramel, Bourbon Barrel Aged 61% Dark Milk Chocolate, Dark Chocolate Coated Orange Sented Cranberries, Malted Milk Balls, Raspberries and Cream Coated with 68% Dark Chocolate, Olive oil, sourdough and dark chocolate Sourdough Truffles, and finally some Jalapeño Dusted Corn nuts. wonderful wonderful wonderful.... The flavors, tastes and scents was, as I already stated, wonderful. Fruition Chocolate would definitely find itself on a hedonist's "must visit" list. ;-)

Yelp
We bought beautiful chocolate Easter eggs and a larger Easter egg in a nest for the table. Big hit. Unusual and wonderful flavors. We will keep going back.

Yelp
Amazing chocolate, amazing people. We hired Fruition to cater a chocolate tasting as part of our wedding. Bryan and Dahlia met with us to discuss what we wanted and made great suggestions. EVERYTHING is made in house. Bean to bar and the fillings. The chocolate is fabulous and creative in every way imaginable.

Yelp
I always love stopping by Fruition, chatting with Bryan, and picking up a chocolate bar (or 5). The quality of chocolate is amazing, and the flavor combinations are so well thought out (and tasty, too!). Bryan knows his stuff, and it's clear that he pours his passion for chocolate into every product. Definitely stop by this place and grab a delicious, lovingly made treat!

Yelp
Quite literally, I felt my brain chemistry change after tasting this spectacular chocolate. You can taste integrity here - handcrafted lovingly and with passion. Combine that passion with incredible talent and you've got a recipe for a tastebud revolution. The store is modern and welcoming. The intoxicating aromas are enough to hypnotize you as you happily pick up a sample. Further evidence that you came to the right place. Love love love....
