"Imaginative Gastronomy's Design District Home In its modern, warm wood-accented digs with retro design touches, FT33 serves up the most talked-about dishes in Dallas. Executive chef Matt McCallister's profile has grown immensely on the strength of his hugely creative farm-to-table menu, inventive cocktails and well-curated wine list. With each dish as mind-blowingly unique as the next, it's best to round up a few friends and sample from each others' plates for a heady culinary adventure!"

"Matt McCallister is probably Dallas’s most talked-about chef, and with good reason: The food served at FT33 comes in the guise of modernist cuisine—it’s no surprise he’s cut his teeth at both Alinea and Daniel—but is still rooted in local, seasonal ingredients that he crafts into homey, relatable food. In other words, don’t be fooled by the super polished plating, the sleek Nordic-style restaurant interiors, and the seriousness of the seven-course tasting menu: It’s all delicious."

I love the new concept and fresh ingredients the chef offered. We had the chef's special menu shared plates. Very creative usage watermelon. Loved all the pasta dishes such as squid ink noodles with crab meat, corn cream gnocchi, and lamb sausage in pasta. the pork belly dish is kind of weird because it tried to combine charred flavor and soybeans in vinegar together but the two flavor doesn't come together. We all enjoyed the dinning experience and had a good time celebrate birthday here. The only downfall is most tables are very close to one another and we can hear next table's conversation. I would love a more spacious dinning environment.

Probably one of Dallas' best restaurants. The prix fixe is the best deal with 4 courses for $65. It's not omakase so you and your companion can choose each selection and they can be different from one another. The gnocchi is always a highlight.

We were there for a Guest Chef Dinner. Chef Gerard Craft from Niche Food Group in St. Louis collaborated with Chef McCallister for an eight-course dinner, and also offered fantastic and unique beverage pairings with dinner, selected specifically for each course. Gerard is a 2015 James Beard Foundation winner as Best Chef Midwest and also an inductee to Food & Wine's Best New Chefs. 2 specialty cocktails and 2 wines were available during the 30 min cocktail hour before dinner. Food was outstanding and preparation photo stunning.

Great food, attentive staff, excellent composition and plating, & complex flavors. The only negatives were it is a bit over priced.

This place is very unique. Drove up to Dallas and this was a place we decided to dine at. The place gets very packed and the atmosphere is very lively. My favorite plate was the vegetable composition with so many good flavors and the beautiful presentation. Seating was very packed but it definitely aloud for good conversation with our neighbors. Overall a wonderful experience.

The restaurant is in a nice area , service was good but as soon as you walk in there was a smell , it bothered me the whole time , I also didn’t like the fact they serve cold bread and a lot of cold dishes ( at least that day, I know the menu is not always the same) took a long time to get drinks... now the gnocchi was outstanding! Delicious and the desserts was delicious, if I go back is definitely for those 2 items.

Incredibly sad this place is going away. Truly an all-time Dallas great restaurant. Brought this 2012 Groth Reserve beast in to celebrate our last FT33 dinner. Not a trace or hint of sand bagging to the finish line Saturday night....going out on top!
