The 25 Best Restaurants & Bars In Palm Springs

"Aside from midmorning hikes where everyone forgets to put sunscreen on their neck, there aren’t a ton of options for big group activities in Palm Springs. The Palm Springs Surf Club is doing its part to change that. The upscale waterpark features several slides, private cabanas, and the largest wave pool we’ve ever seen. There’s also Amala. The all-day restaurant serves solid versions of ahi poke with lotus root chips, fish tacos, soft pretzels, and other things you want to eat while staring at people floating on the lazy river. Admission to the water park costs $42, but you can dine at Amala without buying a ticket. " - brant cox

The Best African and West African Restaurants in Atlanta | Eater Atlanta

"What began as a catering service evolved into a food truck and then a restaurant serving flavorful Nigerian food with a smattering of Jamaican dishes for Caribbean flair. The menu rightfully skews toward traditional Nigerian dishes such as goat pepper soup, chicken pepper soup, meaty plates served with jollof rice and plantains, and amala (a swallow food dipped into soups and stews before eating). Mornings call for kickstarter breakfast plates like boiled yams with fish or egg sauce and ogi with moi moi, which is a fermented corn dish often sold locally on the streets in Atlanta, but now brought to you from this kitchen in Norcross." - Carolyn Desalu

This review is based on my husband: he stated that the prices don’t match the portions, and that the food lacked seasoning. The service was ok but they seemed to get frustrated when you asked questions regarding the menu.

5-22-2025. Big mistake my wife got off TikTok big mistake, the food is not freshly made in the morning it's saved overnight heated and served to the public paid $66.for meal my wife ate half her meal she's pregnant and couldn't finish it , I had dry turkey wing tough skin dry hard meat fried rice beans and a drink I would never try again. If your starving be my Guess, if not go Elsewhere, unless your that type of person that give people passes all the time and you're pay for it later, eating old food. TikTok fooled my wife, pictures are deceiving.

Had their signature amala, and it wasn't up to par. It was lumpy, but still edible. Liked the variety of dishes though, went with a large party that included kids, and everyone was able to order food they wanted. Service was okay, the servers were patient with taking the orders. Don't know if the lumpy amala was a one-off or not.

Thrilled with my experience at FuFu Catering and Grill restaurant! From perfectly seasoned assorted meats to a clean and inviting environment, it's hands down among the best I've been to this year. I ordered amala gbegiri and ewedu and each were lovely!! The extensive menu, well displayed food, and fair pricing make it a top choice. I appreciated the polite counter staff for their impeccable customer service and recommendations. They accommodated my request to remove organ meats from my soup. I'll be returning for sure!

Came here wanting to try African food (especially fufu) cause I've never had it before. I think this may be more west African cuisine. The server and even another customer were super friendly in helping us choose what to eat. We got to try some samples for free to pick the dishes we ended up buying. I was able to get the egunsi soup combo ($21.99) split with the spinach, it also would've came with a meat but we decided to get the yam porridge cause we liked the sample. This came with a fufu. Fufu was super interesting as the texture was a bit slimy. I liked it though and tried it with everything and it tasted good with everything. Also got the ayamashe ($22.99) which had beef and fish, also came with an egg. It was quite spicy. I got sweaty eating it. The plantains were so soft and sweet. They even have a bar where you can have a cocktail which I thought was cool. The music playing was good as well.

It was my first time ordering here because it was close to my job. I ordered the large Egusi because the normal size was very little. They charged me $60 and the Fufu is not included. They charge an extra five dollars (Fufu) plus tax so my total was $68 for one meal. I do not recommend at all! The egusi soup I had way too much oil and tasted more like peanut butter stew. I’ve definitely had better elsewhere at a much more reasonable price. They will never be seeing me again!

Hands down the best African restaurant I have been to in. Everything is cooked to perfection and the fact every item is being displayed outside says a lot about the integrity of the restaurant. Meats and assorted meats available. Meats are well seasoned and also cooked too perfection, not soft and not hard just perfect. Customer service A+ the young man at the counter was really polite and nice. Clean environment beautiful place to bring your family and friends so they can try that fufu they have been hearing or seeing on TV and Movies. Lot of options to pick from, I will definitely be returning with my family cause I stumbled to this myself. Shoot I didn’t mention the price? Ok the price was great really great, you get good amount of food for the price. I Recommend this place

Yelp
I passed by this restaurant last night and I am going back. My first time trying Fufu and this AMAZING dish. It is spinach with a dry fish, tomatoes and spices. It is sooooo good combined with the fufu. My WHOLE family enjoyed it. Thank you for explaining everything and letting me try the different dishes, my server was great!

Yelp
The Efo Riro is so fresh and delicious. They have a large selection of traditional Nigerian dishes to choose from. The jollof with goat meat however is Definitely overpriced it was $26. The goat meat was small pieces and not tender which is what you would expect for the price. The service was good they have a buffet for you to see all the food. I inquired about the suya and they said it would be $22 for an order so i declined to add it. Definitely not worth the hype unless you want to spend more.

Yelp
A few words can say a whole lot! Amazing food! Amazing service! And a great vibe. I loved everything about this cafeteria/buffet style restaurant. They offer a wide-variety of authentic Nigerian cuisine. I got the fufu, jollof rice, fish, and vegetables fufu (the owner), is a lovely woman. Enjoyed everything about the place. I will definitely be back.

Yelp
My second time trying Fufu and oh my god this place is sooooo good! The staff were really friendly. I wanted some fufu from all the TikTok I've seen. The first time I ordered somewhere else and they just tasted off. I told the staff and they were so sweet teaching me more about their food and picking out what they think I would like. Also, they have a full bar inside but I have never ordered drinks there. I know for sure I'll be back so definitely recommend it.

Yelp
The ladies here are so sweet! We came here wanting to try out African cuisine. They prepared a little sampler set for us to try; a few customers had also recommended a few items for us. Our group had a little bit of everything - stews, different rice dishes. Portions are huge here! Everything was delicious and we enjoyed it. We even got to try the fufu, which went well with all of the dishes we picked.

Yelp
The chicken suya is VERY GOOD! I'll be back for that for sure! This place is great because you can walk in, go to the counter, point to what you want, and be on your way very quickly. The display of ready foods has different soups, meats, The ayamase is nice and spicy, plus the amount of meat served is generous. I don't like organ meat (liver/kidney) so I didn't enjoy that, but the honeycomg tripe was great! Def recommend you confirm what meats are in different stews before you order. This place is cute and from what I've heard and experienced - they're really consistent. Please check them out and tell them Tobi at BiteClubATL sent you **PS. The restaurant owner helped me take photos in front of the wall - she's really sweet!

Yelp
Kinda pricey but very delicious savory spinach with bits of crayfish, sweet plantains and filling fufu. Best meal ever :)

Yelp
Not to my liking.. I got 2 veggies and fufu with a side of plantain, and my nephew got the meal which came with one meat and two veggies. And two drinks. I was charged $73.00!! This was my first time at this restaurant and my first time eating Nigerian food. Perhaps this is how it is. Since I have nothing to compare it to, I'll have to tell you my first impressions of the food. The fufu and the juice drink with sorrall were the only things I liked. I was very excited to try the Jollof rice. I had heard so much about it, and I enjoy rice, so I was looking forward to it. The rice was slightly dry and had a smoky charred taste. Maybe that's how it tastes, but I was not a fan. The chicken was so hard we could not eat it. It was almost as if it was fried until it was super crispy and then put in sauce but the chicken was so hard the sauce couldn't penetrate it. The veggies were okay. I liked the spinach dish the best. The yam porridge gave the look of sweet potatoes, but it was not sweet. It was bland. I thought the plantain would be sweet but they were dry, rubbery, and bland. I told the server this was my first time eating Nigerian and he was gracious enough to allow me to sample a few of the sides before I ordered which I was grateful for. I probably should have left after sampling because nothing was really delicious to me, but my godson had his heart set on trying Nigerian so I selected things I thought I could tolerate. I love foods from other countries. As a black American I've wanted to try Nigerian for a long time. I thought somehow the food would resonate with me, but it didn't. Unfortunately, I was in the bathroom for an hour when I got home. The little I did eat and drink didn't agree with me. It may have been the sorrall juice drink. It was delicious, but the label said it was unpasteurized and could upset your stomach if you were not used to it. I fell into that category. It will be a long while before I try Nigerian again.

Yelp
October 2022 S U M M A R Y The food tasted good but there's some serious sanitation issues as I had a horrible case of food poisoning after eating here. I won't return. T A S T E I got the Abula. Amala, Ewedu, bean soup and red soup. I asked for extra red soup and got beef, shaki and Pomo as my three meats. At the time that I ate it - it tasted absolutely delicious and the meat was well cooked and flavored. The portion size was also large. This was my second visit here eating the Abula. S E R V I C E Service was ok. We did not sit down. We went to the counter and stated what we wanted as we watched a guy out the food in a Togo bowl (imagine a cafeteria line or something). The owner was sitting at the bar and was friendly but wasn't too professional - she started asking a lot of personal questions and I don't know her. It was also the end of the day and because I asked extra soup - she charged me a lot more than the price. So clearly - the soups are not made fresh daily - hence what probably led to the food poisoning. A M B I E N C E Decorated similar to other Nigerian spots. Nothing to complain about but nothing to rave about either. P R I C E 28$ for Abula + 5-6$ for extra soup. R A T I N G 1 star because I got a horrible case of food poisoning and had a short stay in the hospital. It was around my birthday so it delayed some of my plans as well.

Yelp
The pepper soup was spicy and delicious Definitely worth giving a try! The customer service was outstanding and my cravings were met

Yelp
I usually don't leave review but I'm sorry, it was that bad. The food smelled like cigarettes and it lacked taste. The best thing is the fufu and plantain but everything else smells like straight cigarettes. Other than that, the customer service is pretty decent.

Yelp
I recently tried this restaurant's jollof rice, egusi, and fufu. I was so happy to finally be able to try this place. I had the egusi with fish and beef, and it was super flavorful. I loved the fish more than the beef because the beef was a bit tough. However, some pieces were soft so I hope their beef is typically soft. I had the jollof rice with beef and fried plantains, which were also super good. My favorite was definitely the egusi soup and fufu. The best thing about the place is the owner. She's super nice and makes you feel welcome no matter who you are. I think they recently did some renovations in the restaurant, so I can't wait to go back to see the changes and try other items on the menu.

Yelp
Came all the way down here with my friend from Tennessee. Food was BOMB! Shared a plate with my friend and left waddling out with full bellies. Definitely worth it!

Yelp
5 star restaurant honestly. The food is very high quality and the servings are a lot. Great place to relax and eat. The food came almost immediately which is rare for Nigerian restaurants. It's very clean the servers are very nice and respectful. 100% recommend for anyone

Yelp
This restaurant was recommended by a friend as the spot to get authentic Nigerian food in Atlanta. I went on a Saturday afternoon with a friend and had the Abula (amala, ewedu and gbegiri) with assorted meats and a cold bottle of Gulder. It was absolutely sumptuous, with rich, authentic flavors that reminded me of back home. The owner is really nice and welcoming; it was such a pleasure to meet her when she came to say hello to our table. I am coming back with more friends; will use any and every excuse to come eat here.

Julie K.

Yelp
Their food are way too spicy and no flavor at all! Usually African foods are very flavorful but this particular location don't know how to cook.

Yelp
First time trying African food. It wasn't bad. I don't think it was worth the price tho, paid $37 for the chicken and rice and a side of suyo beef. I wouldn't pay that price again. Suyo was too fatty for my taste.

Regina S.

Yelp
My friend and I were looking for a place for the past two weeks to go to experience fufu. We came across this place and decided to give it a go. We explained that this was our first experience and not only did they let us sample the food to make sure that's what we wanted to purchase, but she gave great advice on first time fufu eaters. The customer service was amazing but the food was even better. Even after I was full, I tried to continue eating but decided to take it to go. I will definitely be coming back and bringing more friends.

Adunni N.

Yelp
Fantastic food! I recommend the amala, yam pouridge and jollof. The wait was short and we got our food quickly. Will definitely be returning!
