"Fuku, the fried chicken chain from David Chang, has a new location downtown. The restaurant is now operating a takeout and delivery business from Nimbus, a shared ghost kitchen. Its signature fried chicken sandwiches and loaded waffle fries are on the menu. It’s a return of sorts for the chicken chain, which started in the East Village and closed there in 2018. Everything at this David Chang mini-chain is aggressively seasoned. Try the dark-meat O.G. fried chicken sandwich that comes drenched in gochujang mayo, and don’t skip the waffle fries dusted with sweet jalapeño seasoning. We like dunking them in spicy cheese sauce, which is basically what you get at a baseball game when you order nachos. Breakfast sandwiches (made with a kimchi and anchovy sauce) are served all day, and the best non-sandwich things are the garlicky wings with a gochujang dry rub.
