CSA Boxes and Farm Deliveries Serving San Francisco During Coronavirus - Eater SF

"Full Belly Farm up in the Capay Valley is a multi-generational family farm that’s been selling to local markets and restaurants for 35 years. The CSA program is so popular that they’ve temporarily put a hold on new members, but check back, this asparagus is worth the hype." - Becky Duffett

We called ahead and asked if we could see the flowers. Because it was spring time and not as busy as summer, Paula, the sales manager, was able to show us around! She took us to different fields to see the flowers. Then we went to the flower shop to get some freshly made bouquets, wonderful way to spend the afternoon!

Our daughter and son-in-law were married in May, 2025 at Full Belly Farm. From start to finish, we were all so pleased with this venue in the beautiful Capay Valley. The setting for the ceremony was lovely and all the guests were so impressed with the incredible food which was mostly grown on the farm. The flowers were so beautiful and fresh. It was truly a farm to table experience. My husband and I stayed at the farm's campground along with many other guests which meant the festivities continued into the night. The staff was helpful and friendly. Thank you Full Belly Farm for all you provided and did to make their day so special!

My partner Sasha found this wedding venue after she saw a flower arrangement at a local grocery store. She was floored by how gorgeous the flowers were. Once she researched more about this venue and we visited for a pizza night in the fall, we were set on this being our wedding venue. We could not have asked for a better combination of items that lined up with what we were looking for in a wedding venue: incredibly nice people to work with, support of a local business that is an organic farm, the ability for dozens of our friends to camp at the farm the night of our wedding, the absolute best wedding food we have ever had (we've never had so many people tell us that the salad they served us was the best salad they have ever had [not to mention all the other delicious seasonal dishes]). Alexa, day of and so-much-more wedding coordinator was the biggest all star of the bunch. She worked tirelessly to make sure everything was done perfectly. She also provided a lot of help and emotional support when it looked last minute like it was going to rain through our entire wedding day (luckily it did not but she helped us tremendously). The owners of the farm, Amon and Jenna, were genuinely some of the nicest people we have met and we appreciate the farming backbone that keeps us in America healthy and well fed. Lastly, this was actually one of the most affordable wedding venues out there which was just the cherry on top of everything else. We absolutely recommend this wedding venue to any and all!

I worked a wedding this past weekend 10.21.23 and had a blast. The ceremony location was gorgeous as well as the rest of the property. The staff was attentive and professional. I recommend this location for any type of event.

Full belly farms is the most modern and the best use of the acreage that I have ever seen. They have the best produce available on the market that I have ever seen, and I have been in the produce business for over 30 years. My hat's off to you with a 5-star rating. Thanks

Paul has a gorgeous farm! Everything from the food to the flowers to the scenery was undeniably magnificent!

Beautiful farm, beautiful place. Went to one of the monthly farm dinners. The food was incredible and the location was a dream. Gets hot in the summer but well worth it. Call to get a dinner reservation in advance.

Amazing family farm. Sustainable, eco-friendly, and the greatest people!

Yelp
Very long overdue, but need to sing the praises of the team at Full Belly Farm. We had an amazing farm tour and farm to table dinner here with a group of 15 in April 2022. Staff gave us a comprehensive tour of farm operations and livestock care. It was so nice to see the animals well cared for. They're so knowledgeable and passionate about their work - it was really inspiring. Afterwards, we had a special set menu dinner with ingredients all from their farm. We were amazed by how flavorful everything was from their salad to the lamb chops and black eyed pea side. Highly recommend for a really unique and memorable experience for a group. Some of us also camped on-site that night! Would love to go back again.

Yelp
A truly amazing experience. The farm to table expression often gets overused, but here the family style meal made it abundantly clear that everything was meant to highlight the vegetables and produce in all their glory. So the dishes were lightly seasoned, lightly dressed, but everything tasted so fresh and vibrant. The courses themselves are incredibly generous and there were even a few courses like the pasta which worked in a bit of finesse into the meal. One should really know going in what to expect. Vegetable forward dishes left to shine in simplicity.

Yelp
I am very grateful to be able to access so much of Full Belly's bounty at the Palo Alto Farmers Market. The usual suspects are delish of course, like seasonal fruits and veggies, but I also love the jams, tea cakes, pickles and am really addicted to their eggs which have the yummiest, yellowest yolks I've ever seen outside of the farm eggs I ate at an agritourismo Farm in Italy. Please don't ever stop coming to the PA market - you are well loved!

Yelp
I have never visited Full Belly Farms. This review is on their weekly organic vegetable box delivery service. I have received two deliveries of the four I am scheduled for. I am trying this service because I wasn't sure if it would work for my family. The result? I absolutely love this service. The quality is excellent. The food is organic and from a certified farm. I love driving 2 miles from my house on a Saturday morning to pick up box. For only $19 a week we have plenty of fruits and vegetables for our family for the week. I wasn't sure if I would like getting a box with vegetables that I have never tried but I committed to finding recipes my family would enjoy with whatever came in the box. This approach has added some needed variety to our meals. I am no longer going to the grocery store or farmers market buying the same old stuff. This was a much needed change of pace. I also tried their olives and pickles. The olives were so outstanding and fresh. The pickles had excellent flavor as well and I liked them but my family prefers a different brand. Because they've been verified organic since 1985 I feel confident that this addition to my family's diet improves our nutrient in take. I don't feel I can get this level of nutrition from veggies grown on non organic farms. I signed up online and the process was very simple. They emailed me the details of our box prior to picking up our delivery. I got a call prior to the first delivery so I could ensure I understood the process and to see what questions I had. If I am going on vacation I can skip a delivery or I can donate a box which I absolutely LOVE. For those who want home delivery they offer that at an additional fee I believe in the San Francisco and Bay Area. Thank you Full Belly Farms. I am hoping to visit one day to learn more about your operations and your commitment to good quality food.

Yelp
I attended a gorgeous wedding here in September. Full Belly was a wonderful location for a wedding. The bride and groom are members of Full Belly's CSA, and they decided to have their wedding on site. Full Belly used a trailer to shuttle guests to its gorgeous orchard for the ceremony, the cocktail hour was on their quaint patio, and the dinner. YUM! The food was absolutely delicious. The meat, veggies, and pasta were all farm to table fresh and so filling. I don't know all of the specifics about hosting an event here, but you should definitely look into Full Belly Farms if you're looking for a rustic venue. The bride and groom's guests were even able to camp out on site the night before and the night of the wedding. Thank you for a wonderful experience, Full Belly!

Yelp
From the gorgeous organic vegetables and fruits, to the pastured eggs to the nuts, dried fruits, jams and nut butters Full Belly offers such a wealth of beauty that it's a joy to be a part of their success by being a member of their CSA. I love that I can get a flower subscription as well, so every week with my fruits and veggies, I get a beautiful bouquet of fresh flowers that usually lasts longer than the week. Their pastured eggs are incredibly fresh, the yolks are deep orange. Poached eggs are a whole new experience when you start with eggs this good. If you stop by their stand at the Berkeley Farmer's Market, you may get a surprise like a pint of mulberries (sweet and juicy), or a pack of homemade almond biscotti (using their own organic almonds and wheat flour). This past week I scored a huge bag of frozen beef bones from their limited supply and I now have a couple of gallons of rich bone broth. Everyone at their stand is friendly, helpful and knows their stuff. It makes buying from them a real pleasure. If meat is your thing, you can buy pork, lamb, beef and stewing chickens through the CSA and they sell wool from their sheep.

Yelp
We went for a dinner party for my brothers 50 th birthday. It was amazing!! The farm is gorgeous. The several course seasonal from the farm meal was freshly cooked right there by the wonderful owners and staff. Do yourself a favor and try your next dinner party at Full Belly Farm! You won't be sorry!

Yelp
This review is for the Hoe down festival only. Charging 50$ per person to attend this event is robbery. Having driven 2 hours to get here, they have you right where they want you. Total shake down in the worst way possible. We had no intention of camping and we will never come back. What a horrible experience. I can only imagine how many families of four must have simply turned around and left, we saw one when we arrived right behind us. This is a festival for the elite. No diversity what so ever. We will never return and we will be telling our story to anyone who will listen.

Yelp
Delicious produce, excellent CSA (well organized, easy to manage the subscription, and never a dull week!), and friendly people - that's Full Belly Farm! If you get the opportunity to join Full Belly for their annual harvest festival ("Hoes Down") in the Fall, it is WELL worth the journey. They have a lovely farm, and the event is filled with dancing, music, crafts, farm tours, homebrew beer, and if you pack a tent, a lovely camp out in the almond orchard.

Yelp
Visited the farm for their monthly farm dinner and was absolutely delighted. Its a little bit of a drive from the Sacramento area, but I took a friend with me and the drive went rather quickly. The dinner was setup on a lawn just outside the main house, with very adorable decor. Everything we had was delicious and tasty. The dinner started with a tour of the farm, with the chef giving some background history on the farm as well as the various produce and livestock they have. The dinner itself was delicious, some of the best food i've had in the last couple of months. They served 5 or 6 different varities of melon, all of them perfectly ripe and sweet. They also served an heirloom tomato salad and a potatoe salad (the potato salad had olive oil, lemon, fresh garlic and chives - not too mushy with a fresh and luxuriant flavor). For dinner we had a variety of wood fire cooked pizza which were all delicious. The crust was a perfect balance of crunchy and moist. My favorite was the goat cheese and fig. The grand finale was barbecued peaches with house made lemon verbena ice cream. The staff was very friendly, and brought out more than enough food. I am planning on attending again with my parents.

Yelp
We're back again, this time with a year's service. The week we didn't get a delivery because of their event was a week I missed all the great produce. I think we're going to stick with them from now on.

Yelp
If you live in the East Bay, I envy your access to Full Belly's CSA program! We drive up to the Capay Valley for getaways, and try to visit FBF when we can. They aren't set up for retail visitors but they have always been warm and gracious if we call ahead. We usually leave with as big a bag of produce as we can fit in our large cooler. FBF produce is spectacularly good. Definition of fresh and flavorful. More people would be veggie addicts if they could eat what Full Belly grows. And for the carnivores - We got a whole soup chicken from them that made the best chicken stock ever. Their annual Hoes Down party at the end of September or very beginning of October is a fantastic family event with optional camping overnight in their walnut grove. Plus they raise a lot of $$ for local assistance organizations. And they plan their year's farming so that their employees can be year-rounders. The FBF folks really care, starting with the founder/owner. We're hoping to jump on the Farm Dinner wagon some time this year. And visit more. And eat more of their produce! Fully Great!

Yelp
3 cheers for Full Belly Farm--I love that name, but I'm a dork. I get my veggie box and bouquet every other Tuesday, and sometimes, it's the only thing that gets my sorry ass to work. I love wandering down the hall with a pretty mess of summer wildflowers, weighed down by melons and onions and heirloom tomatoes--it just makes me feel like the belle of the ball--everyone's jealous, you know. They keep giving us these purply onions shaped like christmas ornaments (pointy at each end, but round in the middle) that are so mellow and smooth--almost like shallots--and so GOOD that I want to put them on everything. And, on top of stuffing my face with hard-to-find organic produce, I'm helping support a local farmer. What can i say? I'm awesome.

Yelp
This farm grows 80 different types of fruit and veggies, all organic. The farm is family-run. They've been around for 25 years. Great food and great people, and they're committed to sustainable agriculture too. One of the daughters runs an awesome summer camp on the farm, too.

Yelp
My husband and I are CSA members at Full Belly Farm. We've been members for about 9 months, and have loved the experience. I chose Full Belly for a variety of reasons. I love that they deliver only a few blocks from our house in Sacramento, and that we receive an e-blast with information about the produce we will be receiving. Often the e-blast includes recipe ideas which are very helpful and tasty. Their service (processing our checks and answering questions) is always fast and courteous. Yesterday we went to Full Belly for a tour of the farm. Seeing the farm firsthand made our decision to be CSA members even more solidified. The owners were incredibly open about their farming practices. That night we rented Food, Inc. Have you seen it? Wow. Talk about a difference in farming. Organic, local and sustainable--Full Belly is a far cry from the factory farms our country relies on today. I encourage you to see Food Inc, and then give Full Belly a try. After trying their food--fresh and tasty--you won't go back. Also, I consider the $17 box a great deal. We get a TON of food! (More than enough for 3 people).

Yelp
I went to Full Belly for their open farm day last weekend and loved the beautiful crop rows and sheep pastures! I stopped at the little farm shop and picked up a nice t-shirt....I'm kicking myself a bit that I didn't get any of the tamari almonds - they're amazing. Andrew, the owner, lead the tour I was on and explained things in a way that showcased his passion for what he does. We saw flowers, lettuce, daikon radishes and sheep. It was an enjoyable day in the Capay Valley! I'll definitely be back for the Hoes Down festival this fall, and look forward to sharing this place with others.

Yelp
Your fermented dill pickles are amazing! (Not as fond of the bread & butter pickles though, with mustard seed, kind of odd-tasting). All your produce is incredible! I'll return again and again.

Yelp
For Mother's Day I got a beautiful bouquet of flowers from this farm. Not sure where my sister bought them but they are absolutely beautiful! A week later and the flowers are as beautiful as when I got them. Thank you for picking such fresh flowers and delivering them to the stores. I definitely need to look into this a buy my flowers from your farm all the time

Lauren B.

Yelp
We absolutely love Full Belly! We've been CSA members for years and it has taught me so much about in-season foods, made me a better cook, and simply brought so much joy, consistency, and delicious produce to my life. I also love the weekly notes from the farm, the ability to buy add-ons like eggs and flours. And finally, we used Full Belly floral for our wedding this June and loved working with Hannah! Their flowers both in the CSA and for an event are gorgeous.

Yelp
Just stopped by the farmers market on Adeline Street in Berkeley to purchase some sweet corn for our dinner from Full Belly Farm and came home with terrible, malformed, over priced ears. What's up with that?

Yelp
We feel so lucky to be able to get Full Belly organic produce. We have been getting our Organic Full Belly CSA box since 2011 now, and it has never disappointed (we have tried several other farms along the years too). The produces are always so fresh and last up to 2 to 3 weeks in our fridge's bottom drawer--though this rarely happens since we usually eat them all within a week. The people at Full Belly Farm are the nicest and most flexible I know compared to other farms. They are extremely organized and accommodating. Their prices are also the cheapest for organic produces. Have you heard of their organic lamb raised on 100% pasture, organic vegetables, and hay? Well, we've been buying their lamb since 2012. It's truly exceptional lamb that's 100 million times better than what you could ever find at a grocery store. You can tell they were happy lambs! To sum up, if you're looking for a new organic CSA box in the Bay Area, you should try them, you won't be disappointed!

Yelp
I LOVE my Full Belly Farm veggie boxes. My sis and bro-in-law got me a 1-month gift subscription for my birthday, and I chose to pick up the box myself every other week at the Farmer's Market in Berkeley (Derby and MLK) for the full experience of all the fresh fruits, flowers, veggies and other goodies that fill the street. I've gotten two boxes so far, and the quality, variety and freshness are great. I love being introduced to new veggies this way - fava beans, artichokes, chard...stuff like that that I'd never otherwise go out and buy/cook on my own. And, the staff at Full Belly Farm are awesome. I called the 800 number last week because I wasn't sure I'd make it in time for my pickup, and they called over to the Berkeley location to let them know that I was on my way and to please wait for me. Now who knows if they'd actually have sat around and waited if I came after 7pm, but the point is that the person who picked up the phone made an effort for me, which was cool. They also stick a little newsletter in every box that's not only entertaining but usually has at least one or two recipes to help you figure out what to do with your new veggies. For someone like me, that's indispensable. They also have recipes on their website, which is chalk full of information - like what's gonna be in your next box, a crops timeline, stuff like that. And, they have a llama named Dalai. HA HA HA HA HA.

Yelp
LOVE it - I've been a member for about 9 months - the staff is unbelievably responsive. I pick up at the Saturday Mountain View location. It's seasonal, fresh, varied, and generous for the amount paid. I'm an experienced CSA member (this is my third) not only is it the least expensive it's the freshest and just plain fantastic! Recent boxes include (salad greens, carrots, potatoes, onions, greens, herb of some sort, and cabbage) I'm really looking forward to tomatoes. They also sell wheat berries and whole wheat for $1/lb - recently placed a special order for spinach, no problem. They also sell dried peaches, onions, tomatoes, popcorn and get this - wool that I have yet to order! The nitty gritty - yes, it's fresh - and yes it's organic (read: wash well as it can be buggy/muddy) and I have experienced fatigue of some items (leeks!). Strawberries are yummier from the coast than central ca - but I'll take em!

Yelp
I haven't tried their produce, but I did attend one of their dried flower wreath classes. Loads of fun. Very nice people who are clearly dedicated to not just a business, but a lifestyle. I would say what stands out most is that every living thing on that farm I saw was healthy and happy. Full bellies indeed. Wool wasn't bad either. I got a skein to form into a scarf.

Yelp
I could not be more pleased with the first few deliveries of Full Belly Farms produce and flowers. Everything is always amazingly fresh and smells great. Establishing an account was very easy and quick. The thank you card I received after the first delivery was a very nice touch.

Yelp
CATERING: This caterer is a GEM. Truly a fantastic find. Delicious farm to table food. Jenna and Amon are a lovely husband and wife team who grow the most amazing food (they sell produce to BiRite in SF and several high-end restaurants). We could not have been happier with the food--all our guests were so impressed and kept commenting on how great the food was--especially the charcuterie. The staff was so friendly and warm and the beautiful bowls and platters that the caterers used to present the food were charming and vintage/rustic inspired. Lots of wonderful veggie options too from the farm. We had the 14-hour beef chimichurri which everyone loved and they were able to source a few portions of salmon as I am pescatarian. They are so flexible if you have any special asks--we wanted Hog Island oysters so they sourced that for us in addition to persimmons that I wanted to use as decor for the reception. They also made the most delicious empanadas--we asked for these since I am from Argentina so wanted a cultural food represented, and they were a hit. Such a hidden secret, affordable, amazing catering option and they come to San Francisco. A+++ So happy we used Full Belly, thank you, Jenna and Amon! FLOWERS: Amon's sister, Hannah is the florist at Full Belly Flowers. Your food and flowers from the same place, how great is that? I loved telling guests that on my wedding day. The flowers were so above and beyond of what I could have ever expected....soooo beautiful and breathtaking. Hannah was able to make a last minute change no problem and even threw in extra flowers as we were DIY-ing our altar. She is such a talented florist, really ha an eye for color and texture. You get that beautiful, wild, romantic look. My bouquet was ENORMOUS and I love seeing photos of it. Everything from the boutonnieres to the bridesmaid's bouquets to the centerpieces were more beautiful than I could have imagined. It really made me emotional to see how much care she put into it. the I am so lucky to have had such beautiful flowers and I could not recommend her enough to anyone in the NorCal SF/Bay Area.

Yelp
I recently joined Fully Belly's CSA and each box has been great. The produce is really delicious and different but not TOO obscure that I don't even know what to do with them. Plus, having Bay Grape as a pickup location is clutch (getting recipe suggestions using the contents of the box with wines to pair? Yes, please!). All in all, a GREAT decision joining this CSA. Thanks Full Belly! Keep up the great work!

Yelp
I look forward to my Full Belly box each week. The produce is wonderful & we have been introduced to many new fruits & veggies. I don't have the ability to garden at home & this food box still makes us feel like we live off the land. Plus, the staff is so easy to work with. I absolutely adore Full Belly. I'm proud to be a member.

Emily G.

Yelp
My partner and I got married in June in Walnut Creek, and sourced all of our flowers from Full Belly Farm. We were very happy with our bouquets, the flower arrangements, and our flower crowns. Everything was delivered to our venue, and our day of coordinator was raving about how helpful the delivery person was. We also felt very taken care of during the planning process (even as we changed our order a few times!) Thank you Hannah at Full Belly Farm for all your help!

Yelp
Full Belly Farm is an incredible business. From the way they value their customers to the way they treat their employees, this is an all around outstanding business. I am pleased to say that they will be getting my hard earned dollars for years to come. Full Belly's vegetables are incredibly reasonably priced. The farmers ask a fair price in order to pay their employees a fair wage. It is great to know that my dollars are supporting a company that really values its employees. I have been attending the Hoes Down Harvest Festival for many, many years. Every year I am blown away by the safety, the community-oriented atmosphere, and the abundance of activities. This is a true community fundraiser. The local 4-H, FFA, and other organizations in the see thousands of dollars poured into their programs because of this event. It is a great, family friendly event that truly embodies a community spirit. I am so thankful that there is a farm in the area willing to open it's doors to community members. I will be supporting this great farm for as long as I am able!

Yelp
My kids school has a field trip to Full Belly every year when they are in 3rd grade. They stay 2 nights and get to milk the cow, harvest potatoes, pick flowers, swim in the creek, pack boxes and learn all about farm life! It is awesome and I am so thankful they open their farm to the children and give them an opportunity to learn more about organic farming and make connections with the food they eat.

Yelp
We just joined, the weekly pick up at Village Homes is like Christmas every Wednesday.

Yelp
My roommate and I have been getting the Full Belly farm veggie box for over a year now and I highly recommend it. It is inexpensive ($16), you can get it delivered to your house for an extra $4 a week although they have a number of convenient pick up locations in Berkeley (I don't know about other towns), and it is full of wonderful produce. This week we got a bag full of amazing heirloom tomatoes, the tastiest cantelope I've ever had, 3 ears of corn, onions, and grapes. In the winter you do tend to get a lot of kale and chard, but I happen to like kale & chard so it works for me. I think if I tried to buy the equivalent amout of produce at the store, I'd end up paying far more for lower quality stuff. Also, there are farm visits and a newsletter. Its great to know exactly where your food is coming from.
google avatar

Yelp
Great veggies and great people. Full Belly has been spearheading true organic practices for over 20 years and have helped many other small farmers get their start.

Yelp
I have to be honest, this is our first vegetable csa. After signing up for the marin sun farms meat csa, I convinced my hubby that veggies were equally important too. We were able to get a box every other week, which really works for us since we supplement from our local farmers market. The customer service is fabulous. When I called with some questions, they were super friendly and helpful and prior to getting our first box, we got a call from Judith to see if we had any other questions. We got our first box yesterday and the veggies are beautiful! We had the salad greens last night for dinner and I can't wait to try the first asparagus of the season tonight. The farm hosts quite a few events, and we're looking forward to visiting.

Sierra L.

Yelp
I love getting my Full Belly Farm CSA box every week. The quality of the produce is much better than what you can find at any store, and better than most farmers market vendors, too. And you definitely can't beat the price. I've tried or looked into a number of organic box deliveries, and they charge about twice as much for a similar amount of food. I love the freshness of the foods, and the flavor is fantastic. Lately we've gotten some heirloom cucumber varieties that I'd never seen before and they are SO delicious. We recently went to the farm for a tour, and everything we learned made me love it even more. They are taking great care of the land, enriching the soil with compost, rotating crops, using companion planting, and don't use any pesticides/herbicides, organic or not. When I asked, they said the only things they use are sprays like lavender oil on the fruit trees. To me, getting this CSA is a no-brainer, it saves money, is convenient, it's good for the planet (and supports a wonderful family farm), and the quality can't be beat. Plus, they let you skip weeks if you let them know in advance, you can do weekly or every other week, and it's very easy to manage. It helps that the pick up location is just two blocks from my house, but I believe they also deliver for an additional fee (which would still be a bargain compared to other delivery options).

Thomas H.

Yelp
I have been subscribing to Full Belly's weekly box for a good number of years, probably 20. I guess that says it all. I find their boxes very generous, and yes, when lettuce is in season, I get a lot of lettuce. In fact, if they have an overflow, they throw in extra to share with friends and neighbors. I also subscribe to their amazing flowers when offered. Again, the generosity of the bouquets exceeds what you would expect from the price. The last bouquet of globe amaranths fit into 3 vases, so they are over my home. My favorite thing is when they put in strange stuff in the box that sends me running to look up recipes such as purslane. Now that I see another generation of farmers coming up, I am sure I will be subscribing for many more years.

Yelp
Full Belly is dedicated to provide organic food to your door each week. For $15.00 a week you a get freshly selected veggies and fruit from the farm. For me personally, the variety is incredible and really forces me to be creative to utilize "in season" foods. Additionally...the price is very inexpensive or....it's at least worth $15.00 a week to avoid fighting people for parking at Berkeley Bowl. The only caveat is that it's largely veggies. Who cares? I LOVE IT ANYWAY!

Yelp
I've been getting a CSA box for almost a year now and I love it. Their produce is amazing. Since everything is seasonal, it's always at it's best when I get it. What I love the most about getting a box is that I get things that I would not normally buy on my own, so I've been introduced to cooking with a lot of different things. they're really great there too, I found that getting a box once a week was too much for me because I'm one person, so I asked to have it delivered every other week and they were happy to do that for me. Oh, and $17.00 a box is a great price! They have a festival every year, I didn't get to go last year, but I'm planning on trying it this year, looks like great fun.

Yelp
Full Belly Farms Catering - Highly Recommend! We celebrated our September 2012 wedding weekend at Park Winters, in Winters, CA. When we explained our vision for the wedding to the Park Winters proprietors (natural, organic, and elegant) Full Belly Farms catering was recommended. We contacted Jenna and Amon, who handle catering, and they invited us out to their farm for a tour and to discuss the menu. We learned a lot that evening! FBF is a family-owned and operated, fully sustainable, organic farm. They grow a diverse range of crops, year-round, which are sold at farmer's markets, veggie delivery boxes, and natural grocery stores, like whole Foods. They use really cool methods for keeping the pests away, like bat and owl houses. FBF catering utilizes the seasonal harvest to create delicious and healthy menus. We found this to be refreshing departure for the typical wedding chafing dish buffet food, and quite enthusiastically signed on to have them cater our wedding. We loved their ideas and passion for healthy, organic living so much that we decided to have the, cater the entire wedding weekend, including rehearsal dinner, two breakfasts and of course, the wedding night. Fast forward to a year later---our wedding weekend! We can honestly say that it was absolute perfection. They fulfilled all of their promises and went above and beyond to take care of every last detail seamlessly. All of the food was impeccably presented and perfectly seasoned. The servers were friendly, fast and efficient; we never waited or had delays. We don't know how they did it!!! Only positive feedback for this class-act! They gave us everything we could have wanted and much more. We will cherish the memories for the rest of our lives.

Yelp
We have been a happy subscriber to Full Belly Farm's CSA off and on for many years. It pains us to write this, but over this year we have noticed a significant drop-off in the offerings provided in their CSA box. We are a couple who cook at home 5 days a week or so. In year's past, Full Belly's CSA box provided enough produce to get us through most of the week in terms of veggies without needing to supplement much with trips to the grocery store or farmer's market. This year, the quantity of veggies has gone down quite noticeably. Where before we would get large handfuls of several kind of vegetables, this year it seems like they are providing much smaller quantities of vegetables and instead putting in presumably lower cost items like an onion, or head of garlic or some herbs. When subtracting out these kind of "flavoring" items, we are left with two, or maybe three vegetables, in quantities that amount to barely more than a couple of servings of food. Especially frustrating in the summer when one of the vegetables is a couple ears of corn half eaten by caterpillars. Maybe the drought is affecting the farm's output. Maybe their membership base is people who eat out most of the week and only cook at home a couple days so a sprig of thyme instead of a head of chard is appreciated. Who knows. But given the price of the CSA box, where before we found Full Belly competitive with our local farmer's market, we are increasingly finding Full Belly to be of poor value. Absent any improvement, we will be canceling our CSA.

Yelp
A group of friends and I just had the most amazing experience at Full Belly Farms - a private event in the middle of the Walnut Orchard. Imagine sitting under the stars in a beautiful setting with hay stacks, lanterns hung in the trees and wild flowers. Every item that was served to us came fresh from the farm - now that is farm to table at its best! I had no idea how yummy the food would be - we found out that the chef actually cooked at Quince, Chez Panisse and Pizzaiola and for a bunch of foodies, literally every course blew us away. I know most people are reading these reviews for the CSA but if you are ever looking for a unique and memorable event try this chic farm to table experience! Thank you to Amon and Jenna and all the staff for providing us the best possible and charming service we could have hoped for!

Yelp
We had Full Belly Farm cater our wedding and it was amazing. Their locally sourced lamb, chicken and veggies, expertly prepared, made for a meal that our guests loved. The day of the wedding, Jenna, Amon and their staff expertly setup up, served and took care of our guests. If you want a caterer that prepares high end, amazing tasting food that will never be compared to traditional boring wedding food, I highly recommend Full Belly Farm.

Yelp
The Full Belly Farm CSA is awesome. If you're looking for a CSA with lots of pick up locations in the Bay Area and gorgeous produce, I highly recommend this one! The boxes are relatively inexpensive and the contents are always fresh. They also have great customer service, which is a plus!

Yelp
We enjoy the quality of produce. It's the variety we object to. In the past 2 months we've had 4 deliveries basically the same including carrots, leeks, beets, turnip & herbs. No citrus? Seasonal is one thing but how many ways can one eat a steady diet of the same stuff?

Yelp
I have been wanting to check out CSA boxes for awhile now, and after lots of research I decided to get them from Full Belly Farm. We have thoroughly enjoyed everything we have gotten so far - lots of carrots, broccoli, asparagus, and potatoes (all of which we have enjoyed cooking several different ways), along with artichokes, herbs, green garlic, and turnips, and other fresh produce. It was very easy to sign up, I got an email a few days later asking me to call to pay and Connie was so friendly. You get an email the day before your CSA box is ready for pick up, outlining what is in the box and along with some farm news. You can also order special items, so far we have gotten dried peaches and apple juice. They charge it to the credit card on file, which is easy. Our pick up is at a person's house, it is really convenient - the CSA boxes are outside so you sign your name and bag your stuff, then take it home to enjoy! Great recipes on their site as well.
