The food is amazingly good. Service was fast and I am glad we got a chance to come experience this wonderful restaurant before they close.

This little hole in the wall had fantastic food. There are both “traditional” Americanized Chinese food and more authentic options. I was impressed with the quality and flavor of everything that we ordered. The vegetables were fresh, the meat was flavorful, and the portions were generous. It’s not the most fancy space, but everything was clean and our server was attentive.

Very delicious foods with friendly staff and it located in China Town. Food come out quicklg and price are decent.

But this is a small, local restaurant right across the street from the Fairfield Inn where we were staying. Also only a block away from the capital one arena. The restaurant isn’t fancy, but the food and service were excellent. We had wonton soup, eggrolls, orange chicken, and sweet-and-sour shrimp. All very good. My wife thinks the shrimp could’ve used a few more vegetables but otherwise was great. They do not serve alcohol, but pot of tea was fine.

Now this is one of the only places I can get shrimp wonton soup with roasted duck. It is AMAZING!!! I love it every time. Now don't get me wrong, the food I had was superb! But occasionally, I had a bug, on my plasticware, or a gnat in my soup, once. I didn't discredit then for the gnat. Them things every damn where.

Remember ate here recommended by me to a host who treated me with his lovely son as a farewell dinner in 2013🌹🌸🍜🍲. Appreciated the host and this restaurant's so so delicious Cantonese flavors especially remember its tofu fish mushroom pot 🍯🚴 will visit you again in DC soon! Thank you.

Disappointed ! It used to be on my to do list when I visit Washington DC but it changed. I visit today and it felt like different restaurant. No more BBQ hanging in front of the store and after I had my lunch then I realized why. Wonton soup are terrible, wonton are thick and no taste, soup are like frozen broth. BBQ pork, chick and duck are not the same taste as I used to had. Salty and taste not good. Rice are bad too. Definitely not recommend to come.

Don't let the outside steer you away. It gave me pause, but then I decided to try it anyway based on the other positive reviews. We'll, they were right and the food was really good. Our service was also quick. It needed up being about $25 pp with a tip. We tried the double cooked pork. It was the fan favorite. It was fantastic! The cabbage was perfectly cooked and the sauce was perfect. The sesame chicken which was good but a little too breaded. The Mongolian beef and sweet and sour chicken were also good.

Local Mom and Pop Chinese restaurant in Chinatown. I usually get takeout while I'm a work, but will dine in from time to time. No frills, but great food. I always go during lunch and get the lunch special. If you dine in during lunch, you can add soup or an egg roll for $2.50. My go-to lately had been the Beef Chow Fun and Eggroll. I seriously crave it every week now!

Another amazing Chinese food. I just wish they would have seated all 10 of us together but it's ok. They did not open the extension for us. We were seated right away (6+4) and given time to browse the menu. No hot tea on the house. Loved our kingdom style pork chop( felt like smaller portion) , mapo tofu ( not spicy ) and the oyster casserole ( used to serve it with bigger oyster ) is also good while the yang chow fried rice were not evenly salted. Overall food still good.

Omg a dream, we're here visiting and decided to wander in, it's quiet a stark change to the loud streets and station, it's warm and cozy I felt like a nap, the people are so nice and service is incredibly fast! Food was delicious and had large portions! When I'm back in DC I'm absolutely coming back! Top 5 Chinese I've had in DC no questions asked!

A homey family-owned restaurant with a wide selection of my favorite dishes! The hot and sour soup, hainan chicken and sautéed green beans were so good. Service was pretty quick considering how many parties were in the restaurant. They had cute Chinese zodiac placemats for lunar new year :')

This is exclusively for their lunch takeout experience-I have gotten many lunch specials from Full Kee on work days and their big portion are great value for the price. The food is always ready on time and they have a ton of options, though my favorite are the roasted eggplant and fried rice.

Went in late tonight was really looking forward to getting some pecking duck. The chef who made it was not in so our server. Frank, who's been there for over 30 years decided to make us a pecking duck. Don't expect to come in here for a super fancy dining experience, but you will always be happy with a warm glass of tea, and some good Chinese food in your belly when you leave. Side note all the dumpling are hand made.

Crab Rangooooons! Full Kee is world famous for their crab rangoons, made popular by TikTok star Gabby Eniclerico aka slothgirl. I have watched her eat crab rangoons from Full Kee for years on TikTok, so on a recent trip to D.C., I had to try them myself. I placed my order via DoorDash, which arrived quickly and carefully packaged. The portions were large enough to share, and they provided plenty of accompanying white rice. The General Tso's Crispy Bean Curd was fried to perfection, with a breading that was not too thick, absorbing the sweet and subtly spicy tianjin pepper-laden sauce. I was not expecting their "Vegetarian Pan-Fried Noodle" to be a dry chow mein, which I am not a huge fan of. The vegetables were swimming in a bland, cornstarch-heavy gravy. While both dishes were fine, I am not sure I would order either of them again. The Crab Rangoons though, left me speechless. They were even better than I expected, bursting with rich cream cheese and a surprising amount of crab. The accompanying sweet and sour sauce enhanced every bite. I was glad I got two orders of them.

Full Key is one of my favorite cantonese cuisines since 20 some years ago. Anything you order from here is not far from what you eat in HongKong! I used to go to the one in Silver Spring, MD but recently I tried the one in DC and RIchmond, VA. They're awesome!!!!

Broth doesn't have much flavor and the noodles don't have a good texture or bounce to them. The duck is good though. I'd give it a 2 out of 5.

Food was tasteless the three bbq meats over rice was scraps of meat Overpriced for scraps of little meat with all bones.

I come from New York tonight. I have a party from Full kee restaurant the food is very good. The portion is huge the dish come out. It's hot. Don't be fooled! We went for the tik tok famous crab rangoons, and were sorely disappointing. The rangoons are not oversized, and in fact, quite normal. They are acceptable but nothing special. However, the egg rolls were noticeably off taste after the first bite, so they were not consumed. We were smart enough to avoid the food poisoning. The place is dingy, old, and smelly. Gross

A couple people recommended their crab rangoons to me and all I can stay is....they are life changing. I got takeout and got 2 orders (4 come in each order) and they arrived still crispy!! The rangoons came very full (the flavor is more on the cream cheese side and it is so good!!) and the sauce they gave with them was so delicious. I've had crab rangoons from other places in dc and these are the best I've had so far!! 10/10 recommend

This isn't the first time my boyfriend and I visited the restaurant but this is the first time I'm writing a review. The service is consistently excellent and the restaurant is clean and spacious. The food was fresh, arrived quickly, and was delicious, and the portions are great. The staff were friendly, checked up on us periodically, and our cups were always full. We got the wonton noodle soup, roasted pork with snow pea, roasted duck, and garlic eggplant and loved all of it. Full Kee will continue to be a stop for us when we visit DC

We stopped in for lunch last week, and we loved the flavors, generous servings, service, and accommodation of preferences. We ordered three seafood and duck dishes: spicy fried squid (we got it mild), sliced duck with shrimp in oyster sauce (we substituted squid), and sizzling flounder filet with black pepper sauce, white rice and tea. They werent busy yet when we arrived shortly after they opened at 11am, and the server was prompt, helpful, and friendly. They made it easy and comfortable to request modifications: not spicy, and no shrimp, and there was a fiery hot sauce paste on the table, along either soy sauce and sweeteners. Food arrived quickly, and these three dishes were each delicious, and they combined well. We had a delicious filling lunch, and had enough leftovers for two more servings. The restaurant is small, seating around 30, with simple decor, including menu items posted in Chinese. Parking wasn't difficult in pay spaces on the cross-streets. My buddy took the Red Line to the Judiciaciary Square north-entrance just a couple blocks away.

Good typical cheap Chinese restaurant in the area. I came in with a friend about 45-50 minutes before closing and they still allowed us to dine in. We got the beef chow fun and sweet and sour chicken (about $15 each dish). Beef chow fun is pretty good and well made. Sweet and sour chicken was good; not the best and the dish comes with a small bowl of rice. Both dishes was more than enough for two people as we had leftovers. Credit card minimum is $8. Service is ok, straight to the point like every other Chinese restaurant.

Totally surprised by the food & first order from here. I am not sure about some of the bad reviews here, but my experience at this Full Kee DC location was great....And, the food...on point...& "Oh so good!" The only thing that I'm mad at, is that I did not make it to this location sooner being that I live in DC!! Whenever I had a craving for good Asian fare or the perfect "roasted duck", I often travelled from DC and skipped this location many times....to pick up my food from the Full Kee - Falls Church, VA location or my favorite spot in that same area (Eden Gardens) which I won't mention here. At any rate, back to this Full Kee in Chinatown, DC. This restaurant is definitely a no-frills restaurant that upon first glance, one may pass up on this place. Nothing fancy or posh about it...BUTTTT....do not judge the book by its cover!! You pass up on this place and you might just be missing out. This Downtown-Chinatown DC establishment, just like the Falls Church locations, serves up some great food and bargain fare. The portions from the dishes I ordered were generous and the flavors authentic. The menu is mostly Cantonese (Hong-Kong Style) and American Asian eats...from loads of noodle dishes, stir-fried dishes, chow foons, congee, seafood dishes, a full-out menu in Cantonese which some may not be able to read (like me--but ask, folks are friendly here!)....to rich soups, typical American Chinese takeout eats ....and of course, my favorite....the roasted pork and duck dishes!! . Last Sunday, this location not only delivered on some good eats last Sunday, but the flavors and the freshness of the food was evident. I ordered the: * Half-Roasted Duck -- One word...."HELLALICIOUS!" Tender, Juicy to the bone, and Crispy Skin!!....just how I like it. This dish was so good and a thumbs up from me. Totally fresh, cut for the same bird, and made to order....definitely was not old, mixed pieces being repurposed from another dish, dry, or microwaved. * Spicy Deep-Fried Pork Chop -- First time trying and will not be my last! Seasoned to the bone and full of flavor. Not sure why it was labeled spicy tho'. It was not spicy nor had any heat....but quite delicious. * Sautéed Stir-Fried Mix Vegetables -- Fresh, crunchy vegetables stir-fried over high heat....wok cooked al dente (not overcooked) and in an interesting, flavorful sauce. This dish was perfect with the plain brown rice, which I requested over the white rice. I added red pepper flakes which I had at home and it made this dish a knockout. TIP: Definitely request it be made this way or ask for it spicy for that added flavor. In all, delicious eats, great experience and service. The owner, Su, was especially nice and helpful. She assured me that everything was made and cooked to order.....and judging by the look and taste of everything alone.... it was! She was not kidding. I politely asked this question to her when I arrived because it was near closing and you know how some restaurants can be trifling....and try to pass off stale--old straps of food when it's time to shut down. Not the case here, at Full Kee! I called the order into the restaurant while driving there and my food was ready upon arrival, in less than 15 minutes....all this at half the time I would have spent driving from DC to the Falls Church, VA location. Will definitely be back! This restaurant is a hidden gem, with a 40+ year staying power even during the pandemic....which speaks for itself. I recommend you give it a try!

First off, when you walk in you're greeted with a sewer-like smell in the restaurant. The service was horrible. We ordered the crab Rangoon and they had a very strong cream cheese taste to them. We did not taste any crab within the Rangoon. The menu says the price was $4.65 but the receipt said it was $5.95. After paying the bill, the owner/waitress tried to FORCE us to pay a tip by pointing to the crossed out tip line and questioning why we put $0. We said no, and she again questioned why we didn't tip and pointed to the suggested tips. We again said no and she then screamed "no tip?!" and some other stuff that we couldn't understand. I definitely won't be back!!! Food was nasty. Restaurant stinks horribly. Staff is beyond rude. I would give this place 0 stars if I could. Don't come here.

Okay Full Kee! Love this place. My son and I have been trying various places in chinatown and happened upon this one for lunch. Upon walking in it noticed that the place was pretty quiet...which was weird. No TV noise, ppl werent really talking, just quiet. Perhaps they were quiet because everyone was busy stuffing their faces. This food was so good! We got the sesame chicken and lo mein with beef. This was one of those meals where I had to stop myself from over eating because I couldn't get enough. I decided I would save the rest for dinner, and the waittress boxed the rest up for us. Let me tell you, it was just as good that evening as it was that afternoon. This was a great place, I'm surprised to see so many low reviews but who knows, everyone has good and bad days. I did see that someone else mentioned that its cheap and quick food...this was not cheap. It was 34 bucks for the two dishes...not my idea of cheap. Ill still go back tho.

Tried a local Chinese restaurant in China town expecting something decent. Food was below average, service was down right rude! Do not recommend!

Chinatown dining has changed over the years. The pandemic has forced closures. There are a handful of restaurants that have been around for a long time. This place is a dive, but they have decent food. Prices have gone up. You can have a decent lunch for about $30. We visit for "comfort food." Chinatown metro is nearby. Street parking is hit or miss.

Omg 10/10 stars!!! Delicious fairly priced Chinese food!! We got the roasted pork, duck noodles and green beans! Everything was cooked to perfection and very authentic!! Loved my experience

Had the duck and noodle soup. First of all I had the same soup yesterday at a different restaurant and this restaurant was so much better. I got twice the amount of meat here , than I got yesterday. The noodles and the broth were also better. The noodles were thin and light and the broth had a great flavor. The duck did have a lot of bones, but most of the bones had plenty of meat. The skin was dark and tasty . This restaurant was across from my hotel,so I got it to go. Service was quick and friendly.

Crab Rangoon nasty, was all cream cheese nothing else. service terrible. Rudely demands tips. Menu prices don't match receipt prices. Had flys and an electric fly trap that made a lot of noise. Environment was stale and lack luster. Should be updated

My favorite duck noodles in the city! Love this place as a no frills place to get some great Chinese food.

I wasn't impressed. I got the Chicken Lo Mein and it tasted kind of weird. Not like it was bad, but that they used a fish sauce that left a strange aftertaste. Even the tea smelled a little strange. My friends enjoyed their meal, so maybe it's just my preference.

I'm surprised at the positive reviews! The health department needs to go there. If there are a swarm of flies in the dining room, then imagine what's going on in the kitchen. I don't mind a good dive, but this is beyond what I can do to eat in or take out. The place also has a horrible odor.

This is your typical cheap eats hole in the wall Chinese restaurant. No frills but they have a lot of space as they have a downstairs that accommodated all 15 of us. We ordered the roast pork (char Siu) noodle soup, wonton noodle soup, shrimp dumpling noodle soup (dumplings had pork in it too), and the beef brisket noodle soup. We needed a quick bite after a long day of walking and this place served its purpose. The bowls of noodle soup were good portions and tasted good like what we had expected.

Third time back here, this time with my family who's visiting from Singapore. While their reviews may be subjective, as they grew up consuming authentic Chinese food, I must admit that the shrimp dumplings/wonton noodle soup were pretty average. My dad's greatest gripe is that the shrimp isn't fresh. My brother ordered the beef brisket noodle soup and it was delicious. We shared a salted fish and eggplant clay pot rice as well as a marinated pork's tripe (in photo). Overall, my mum found them to be too salty for her liking.

Came for the casserole dish since it's a favorite at restaurants back at home. Wished it had a little bit more flavor and a little more seafood. The toppings were essentially the same for the Cantonese pan-fried noodles so there wasn't much change in flavor.

We placed a takeout order and walked there from our hotel. After getting thare, we had to wait another 15 minutes, a total of nearly 40 minutes since the order was placed. They were not nice at all. Ignored me and gave me no indication of how long it would take. The food was average at best. We will not be returning.

We were wandering through the DC Chinatown and stumbled upon this place. The place we planned to go to was was only offering take out due to COVID. This place allowed us to dine in and the food was great. We had the General Tso's chicken and Dumplings. We were here mid day and pretty much the only customers in the entire restaurant. The owner was very friendly and made our visit pleasant. I wish the DC Chinatown had to offer but this small place was just right.

Have been coming here off and on for years. Old school Chinatown Cantonese standby. There is Chinese BBQ but for special order. Ambience is divey and is typical of the 1980's. The comfort food is the star of this restaurant. Lunch special menu available but not posted. The noodles, congee and vegetables are all outstanding. Ginger scallion chicken is alwys my favorite.The value is excellent, especially if you order judiciously. Probably deserves five stars for helping to stave off the gentrification of DC Chinatown. We are all immigrants from somewhere.

Trust me do not go here!!! I order food to go she missing the food inside the bag . And poor customer service. High prices . Never coming back again .

Great Candied Duck Supreme! I have never enjoyed such succulent fare before, and I hope that the measure of the well regarded effort of the cook (cook? Well, never said better! It is the cook that is always so valuable. Chefs, on the other hand, are subject to variations in measures and ingredients. Whereas a cook's work is always exact and without any deviation from the intended and practiced recipe. A chef dish is at times and sadly inferior to the skilled music of the cook. The cook then would be more valuable to the community than the wealthy and highly reputed chef.) should reward him with a night of marital progress.

Got the beef with green pepper in black bean sauce. The sauce had a lot of starch in it and felt slightly slimy. The steak was in cutlets instead of smaller pieces so it was difficult to eat for hotel takeout. The food was done quickly, but it just wasn't for me.

The pork in the sweet and sour pork was very tasty. Sometimes restaurants throw cheaper pork in the dish because many just eat it because it's sweet and sour. But with theirs the meat was tasty and tender!

This rating is for the duck noodle soup. As another Yelper suggested, get the smaller menu with the noodles. Love the generous amount of duck they have in their soup. Otherwise, everything else is a three (or less). The location is gritty, evidenced by the folks lingering outside, and the service is mediocre to bad, especially if you don't speak the language. However, this place has been here for a long time and I respect that. Prices here haven't changed much, so if you're looking for decent food and not concerned with ambiance, stop by here.

The current state of DC's Chinatown is pretty sad; partially abandoned. Full Key is one very good reason to start pumping life back into H street. After 40 years and 2020; Full Key is still worthy of anyone's GO TO FOR THE BEST! If your focus is on authenticity and quality; don't think twice for lunch; dinner or takeout. They've also got BBQ Pork by the pound if you want to create something special yourself at home...

When I got my food from Grubhud and as I was eating I noticed a small roach in my food.

Second Chinese place I've tried in Chinatown for takeout, third place I've tried since moving to DC. It's better than the garden place but not that much better. Ordered two general tsos chicken. Looks good but the chicken is mostly fried cornstarch and very little chicken. $15 per entree which is way too much for what you actually get. The egg rolls were fine but they were small and not worth $4. Will not be returning.

I don't understand why this place doesn't have a higher rating. It's a small, authentic Chinese restaurant in "Chinatown." These type of places are being run out of the neighborhood by the corporate overlords. Everything I've had at this place, I devoured. Sure, it's a little greasy, but what are you going to do instead? Eat a salad? Some reviewers may say the staff isn't friendly, but they just mean the staff aren't the 'American hospitality friendly' they are used to at places like Olive Garden. Though, they've always seem thankful for my patronage.

Family owned traditional old-school Cantonese food. Of course there is the Americanized Chinese menu, but we ordered real Cantonese food. We got the congee, white cut chicken and soy sauce chicken combo, roast pork, pea shoots, and wonton soup. They accidentally brought us American wontons (which have no flavor), but they replaced them with real Chinese pork and shrimp wontons upon request. Service was fine, they were nice, food was solid. Pea shoots were quite good, rest was "fine". Support a traditional, local family business as very few are left in DC Chinatown.

Don't come, the restaurant smells like trash and a dead bug was found in one of my dishes. The owner is friendly but the restaurant makes me feel sick.

The crab rangooooooons are simply delectable. The other dish I tried was snow peas with bbq pork. It wasn't amazing very average but the crab Rangoon are definitely the best I've ever tried! So crunchy!

Used to be a wonderful place to eat - a downtown legend. Now it's like shell of it's former self. Rude wait staff, and a menu you'd find anywhere... I was disappointed.
