Very open lay out with cozy spaces to chit chat and enjoy the atmosphere. Make it your getaway for an afternoon or to meet up for that quick, informal work update. For first-time introductions, this beautiful business is located in the historic Greenwood District. They have scheduled social events that are a must attend organized by Women+Weed, a collaborative networking and event platform. Look forward to another Tulsa trip soon ❤️❤️

Google
Fulton is always an amazing place to visit. Big, bright, warm place with a curated selection of books across a concentrated set of genres. The coffee is decent, but the atmosphere is amazing. They also host a lot of amazing events.

Google
This was a cute little coffee shop and bookstore in the arts district. I was just passing through and tried the iced ube milk tea on their recommendation. It’s one of their specialties and is delicious!

Google
Had a great experience today at Fulton Street books and coffee. The staff was amazing. The coffee was hot and fresh (locally roasted and sustainably sourced from Guatemala.) Wonderful black owned business in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Check it out if you’re in the neighborhood or make the drive, spend the day, and find some real hidden gems … Or just get online and they will ship almost any book directly to you. #bookstagram #books #blackownedbusiness #tulsa

Google
I LOVE THE PLACE! And supporting BIPOC businesses?! I love to come here sometimes, get a coffee and crank out a paper. Great selection of books and love the vibes, mission, and ambience. Scored a WOW factor from me!

Google
We never received a hello or help, staff was too busy chatting between themselves about their lives. Would've loved to try the coffee but didn't feel welcome to interrupt their personal conversation. The book selection was great, I love the overall vibe.

Yelp
Wow, what a delightful little spot in Tulsa's historic Greenwood District! I was looking for a place to enjoy some coffee and plug in the ol' laptop for a work meeting, and Fulton Street was the perfect place. It's light, bright, and full of plenty of comfy places to sit and get some work done. It was pretty busy when I arrived, with a bit of a line to order, so I wandered around their beautifully curated book section, full of everything from historical novels to cookbooks and even kids' books. They feature Black authors and the selection of books and topics was very inspiring. (If I wasn't just traveling with a carry-on I would have bought a few!) The line eventually died down and I ordered myself a caramel macchiato...soooo good. I ended up hanging out for over an hour, enjoying the vibe and the laid back setting. Oh, and their strong wifi too. Highly recommend Fulton Street if you're looking for a place to work remotely in Tulsa.

Yelp
Online reviews sent me to Fulton Street, one of Tulsa's top-rated coffee shops according to Yelp and Google Maps. It didn't disappoint. First of all, it's a bookstore in historic Greenwood. 70% of their books are written by or featuring BBIPOC and/or marginalized communities. They also give back to their community to ensure that all can read. Their coffee menu has all the basics as well as specialty drinks. I got the Brown Sugar Shaker with notes of hazelnut and brown sugar. It was good! It wasn't very creamy, but it was a decent latte. Service was excellent and there are murals near the restrooms. There's also plenty of space to sit and read.

Yelp
Such a delightful coffee shop and bookstore! It also functions as a venue for hosting community events. I loved the numerous delight and flair around the space. It's by the people and for the people. Stop in for a snack or buy a book!

Jim G.

Yelp
I found Fulton Street a beautiful place to relax. With a nice cup of your favorite cup of coffee or tea and snack. There is a large selection of books available for your enjoyment. All employees I encountered in the coffee shop (across the street) were friendly, eager to help and professional.

Yelp
After being temporarily closed while they relocated into a new space, the wait is finally over! Their new location in Greenwood (between Greenwood Rising & Juno) is spacious and beautiful. The opening was on Friday, just in time for the gift giving season! Thankfully the beautiful women on the side of the old building made the move too, Frida Kahlo, Nina Simone and Audrey Lorde are inside now! The space is bigger and they'll be putting more shelving and furniture for seating areas later on. Definitely a great spot to come hang out or work at. The drink bar is beautiful and also has seating available. Thankfully, their menu still has Fulton street classics like their golden turmeric latte but also new items like sandwiches and 5 matcha options. The books- still great curated collection that offers good variety. If you don't find something on the shelf, you can always order it online on their bookshop site.

Yelp
I came here at the recommendation of a friend because I had plans in Greenwood. It has quickly become one of my favorite spots in Tulsa. Books, Delicious Coffee, Friendly Staff, Community Culture... it's such a great spot. I'll definitely be back next time I'm here.

Yelp
Books + Coffee + Community...what else could you possibly want from a bookstore?! Welcome to Fulton Street in the heart of Greenwood in DowntownTulsa. More than a bookstore, they are on a mission to increase intergenerational literacy and build better community. At Fulton Street, they believe that representation matters, and that who tells the story matters, so at least 70% of their books are written by, or feature BBIPOC and/or marginalized communities. In addition to the large selection of books in their bright and beautiful space, they serve their signature coffee blend, "Family Reunion," as well as lattes, teas, and other drinks and treats. They're open 7 days a week and have an online store, keeping their commitment to making literacy accessible to all. Fulton Street also hosts a variety of events throughout the year, so make sure you're following them to stay up to date and make plans to attend. (It's also a great place to get some work done, and they host coworking days several times a month.) PS--Make sure you also check out their kiosk at the airport the next time you take a trip!

Yelp
Fulton Street is such a cute coffee shop with nice natural lighting, a chill environment, amazing artwork, cool books to choose from, and really good sandwiches. I haven't tried a lot of the drinks yet - but I'm excited to try them all! The owner & employees are so sweet, definitely will be returning.

Joanna M.

Yelp
There is street parking in front of the building. Enjoy a lovely airy and laid back vibe while browsing the books, enjoying a cup of coffee or catching up with friends in one of several cozy spaces. The book selection is small but there are good options and they can order books online for you. The coffee was decent. We held a silent bookclub meetup and this was an ideal location.

Shannon L.

Yelp
Loved the atmosphere and the bold simplicity of this coffee shop/bookstore. The staff is really friendly and great service! The owner was just as awesome and personable! I I ordered the golden turmeric latte which was pretty good and sat at the countertop for a little while since the shop provided a welcoming calm environment. Will come back when I'm in downtown Tulsa again.

Yelp
Perfect chill energy for a coffee/ bookshop. Very spacious and clean with an interesting selection of books to peruse. Highly recommend the avocado toast and latte.

Yelp
TEA My bestie ordered a tea and enjoyed every sip of it. I ordered water, and it was filtered. Thank God! I can't drink caffeine after 10:00 AM, literally, and didn't feel in the mood for decaffeinated tea but was in the mood to check out the bookstore, so that's where I spend most of my time. SERVICE First, this coffee/bookstore was a selected place for the Forbes stop in Tulsa! Yay!!! Service was friendly and personable. It was quoted, and she brought our drinks to us on the bookstore side. AMBIANCE You walk into the coffee side of the store and immediately feel a sense of calmness. There were a couple of guests quietly chatting. And another guest was working on something. Both parties seemed to look like this was their usual hangout to get work done in the evening. There are great quotes and images on the wall to help you feel some inspiration. We walked through the door, and that was my happy place! Lots of books... urban cultural books. I grabbed so many to hold and peek inside of them. I was traveling, so I didn't have room to add more to my carry-on luggage, but I was excited to learn I could order them from the store and deliver them. There is nothing like books. I feel we are losing some of our intelligence without the ability to walk into a neighborhood bookstore and just read. You'll have to try this cute cozy place out.

Amri L.

Yelp
Fulton Street is a great space! Great selection of books! And the coffee shop has some great options. My favorite is the Ube milk tea. The mural is a staple of this space, it was created by Alexander Tamahn!

Lindsy R.

Yelp
Why not be able to support a local bookstore and coffee shop all at once. Located a little outside of downtown it's still a great spot if you're looking to support a local business. I'd recommend trying their turmeric latte which was amazing and perfect if you don't like coffee. The vibes are cozy and modern and it would be a great spot to work remotely from or meet up with friends for coffee. While you're there make sure to buy a book. The staff was very kind.

Solana C.

Yelp
This store is located inside of a neighborhood. Each time I've been it hasn't been packed which I love. The coffee bar has a small bookstore attached. The coffee is pretty good and is made quickly. I wish they had pumpkin options for the holidays but their vanilla latte is good instead. They usually have local flyers and business cards set out and seem involved with building up the community.

Yelp
We love Fulton Street in our family. We try to be very conscious of the material that my daughter consumes in our home, and this bookstore makes it easy to find great books that represent diverse cultures and people-including her own Arab heritage. The kids nook is small but packs a punch in the kids offering. The coffee shop makes the best (IMO) cortado around, but also has solid lattes, both hot and iced. The staff are friendly and willing to chat when it is not busy.

Michelle J.

Yelp
Fulton Street is smaller than I expected but the set up is quite nice and the decor is so tasteful, it's wonderful. The coffee cafe has it's own entrance. One side of the shop is a bookstore and the other side has coffee, tea and pastries. We were definitely there for the books but my daughter tried one of the hot teas from the menu. Fulton is small enough that I looked at every single title including the titles in the small children's area. There is a ton of non-fiction that's highly focused on race relations. I was hoping for a lot more fiction from writers of color than what was offered. I have zero personal interest in race books but I was fortunate to come across a cookbook from a local Tulsa chef filled with beautiful food photos to accompany the recipes so I didn't leave the shop empty handed. When I'm in this city again I would certainly stop in again. To note also, it appears to be all street parking.

Yelp
Best matcha in town local authors, they really support them as well. And it is a beautiful place to work in plus a selection of epic books, which are fascinating

Yelp
Great service!! An awesome community presence and advocate. Great coffee, tea and drink choices. Family friendly, just friendly all around. No matter race, creed, color or sexual preference you are welcome & feel welcome. Kudos to Ms. Oniko. This has been a long time coming!!!

Yelp
Nice cozy spot tucked away in the up and coming north downtown Tulsa! Plenty of awesome books, t-shirts and the like to go with great tasting coffee. Black owned since 2020 and doing great things!

Lex K.

Yelp
Fulton Street is awesome! Right now they're only open for grab and go, which I understand, but I look forward to when we get covid more under control, and this becomes a place people can actually spend time in (again). I regret that this wasn't a place I knew about before! I can't wait to come back, spend some time browsing for the prefect book to buy with my coffee. Their beverages are so reasonably priced, y'all! They've got so many flavors of syrups, oat milk and almond milk that they can substitute in any coffee, tea or smoothie for anyone avoiding milk for any reason (lactose intolerance, veganism, environmental concerns, et cetera). The baristas will work with you so patiently to help you figure out what sounds good, and what works for you. They're so helpful, and so nice! It's always great to support locally owned small businesses. To me, this one is probably the best one you can support. Owned by a woman of color, Onikah Asamoa-Caeser, Fulton Street Books provides both great coffee and educational books that offer us an gift to learn and grow as individuals. We'd be foolish to squander the opportunity this establishment has given us by not supporting it, by not purchasing and reading books either from the brick and mortar store or from their website: https://www.fultonstreet918.com/ I really enjoyed my coconut coffee, which I ordered with oat milk, and I asked if they could make it iced, because I prefer cold drinks. It was absolutely delicious, but I think next time I think I'll get a shot of syrup added to it just to make it even sweeter.

Brooke L.

Yelp
I adore this place. The variety of flavors is so enticing, and the set up is welcoming yet separate enough that you can talk or study without being a bother to those around you! They celebrate culture and spotlight authors and books written by/about Black, indigenous, and Asian experiences (among many other resources for racism and fictional texts!) I was a bit put off by the attitude of our barista, who seemed perturbed that we would interrupt her studying. She was short with us despite our trying to order quickly. It was not too busy or too quiet not too close to closing time so I am unsure what caused that. However, she made delicious coffee quickly! I ordered an iced cherry oat milk latte and it was wonderful. I always fear that Cherry will taste like cough syrup, but not here! The man in the bookstore was lighthearted and kind. I purchased a book for my classroom and am so excited to share it with students. The art outside and inside was beautiful as well. I can't wait to come back here!

Yelp
the cafe officially opened & i've already had two of their coffee drinks: coconut coffee & dirty chai latte. a few months back, there was a soft opening & i loved what fulton street had to offer. after officially opening the bookstore, i got 'marvel hip hop covers vol. 1' & i gotta come back for vol. 2. the coconut coffee is exactly how you'd imagine. the coconut was perfectly sweet & had me wanting more (i had an 8 oz.). that was that morning, later on in the afternoon, i got the dirty chai latte (iced). it was one of the best i've ever had. the sweetness hits you from the jump, nothing overwhelming. being iced definitely gives you a pick-me-up, highly recommended. i also just remembered that i had an apple turnover that you could imagine how perfect it went with the coffee. fulton street strives on literature & continues to push the narratives with what they have to offer. it's one of those things that you'd have to visit to see what i mean. either side of the establishment you go to, you'll be satisfied.

Yelp
Best coffee in town. Support all they do. Great customer service. Awesome venue and outdoor area.

Christa H.

Yelp
Awesome good service nice friendly atmosphere and ambiance would recommend going there most definitely!

Yelp
Friendly and informative staff! Thoughtful selection if books that will challenge anyone in the best way. Got a golden turmeric oat milk latte that is divine - freshly shaved turmeric!!

Lauren S.

Yelp
Neat little bookshop/coffee house in downtown Tulsa neighborhood. It makes my heart happy that more businesses like this are starting to pop up in this area. I got a toasted caramel latte, light on the syrup and it was perfect. Not super sweet like a lot of independently owned coffee shops. Was also recommended this book to learn more about the Tulsa Race Massacre. I didn't want anything too dense and this was a great pick! My only

Yelp
Best cold brew! Stopped here with my husband while visiting from Chicago. This is the kind of place I would love to be a local at if we lived closer!

Yelp
Excellent coffee, very welcoming community vibe. Great place to start your Saturday morning!

Yelp
I ordered a book from this store in November because the publisher and author had a wonderful idea to support small business. The publisher had issue with shipping- totally understandable and both the store and publisher did a good job of communicating that AT FIRST HOWEVER, it is almost February of the next year and not only have I not received my book or a refund, I have had ZERO response after numerous requests and any listed phone number for the store is out of service- this coming AFTER they sent a bogus tracking email and number to me with an initial communication claiming that if i do not receive my book they will make it right...The book was never sent! Listen, I understand that delay is a challenge but to not communicate and send false information after you've taken someone's money is terrible business. I paid for an item which I have not received- there is zero excuse for Fulton's failure at this point to respond at all with honesty and integrity or at least refund my purchase. Fulton has not only shown their lack of business sense and integrity but they have done a disservice to the author and publisher.

NIxie H.

Yelp
I pre-ordered a book from them on 10/18 and was supposed to received it by 11/18. After not hearing from them or receiving the book, I contacted them on 11/19. They said they were running behind but the book would be sent out within a few days. I received notification of shipment on 11/20 but it was only the label has been created/we have not received item to ship yet stage. It is now 12/15, the label is still at the not received to ship yet stage and I have tried numerous time to contact the store. I have received no response. I even posted on their Facebook page asking for a response and noticed then that others also had paid for and not received their book. (All those posts have been removed by the store.) I contacted the book's publishing company who told me the store did receive those books so it is definitely a problem on the store's end. I understand there can be issues running a small business but communication shouldn't be one of them. Nor should fraudulently creating shipping labels and taking money without fulfilling orders. I love to support independent books stores but this is one to definitely avoid;
