"One might assume casual wine bars are a dime a dozen in Westwood, but one would be wrong. And for that reason, Fundamental LA is one of our favorites. If you’re looking for a midday buzz, the extensive beer and wine list will certainly provide it, but it’s the food that’ll really keep you coming back. Everything from the chicken torta to the orzo is excellent, and with the daily “Power Lunch” special, you basically get all of that and a cookie for $15." - Brant Cox

The food was so good! Ordered the breakfast burrito and the french toasts. Both of them were perfect at every reasonable price. The ambiance is great the only reason they dont het a 5 star rating is because the seat covers were very dirty. Other than that service was amazing and food was 5 stars!

Cool place, friendly service. We tried their 4 course meal, the portions are pretty big and taste good. The black cod was too oily and I couldn't finish the plate. Other than that everything else was great!

We loved this place. They do take reservations, but we found a spot at the bar for a weekend brunch. Loved the menu, service, cocktail options and desserts. Staff and bartenders, Austin, were awesome. Ordered the steak and eggs. Not the best picture but huge portion that we split and it was plenty. Plus it has a mole sauce that was epic. They have this great oyster special for happy hour, I'll definitely be back just for that.

Such a bright and lovely space! They serve Stumptown coffee and their lattes are delicious! I had the grain and seed bowl + avocado and my partner had the bacon and egg sandwich + avocado. Both were super filling and super tasty! I’ve been twice and would come again.

Came for lunch. Had Binh Ma which was very spicy and delicious. My friend had the chicken sandwhich. Evrything was so good. I had to go back the next night for the short rib papperdelle! It did not disappoint! My friend had the fried chicken with pickled veges. Everything, including the cocktails was fantastic and the servers were very friendly and attentive. I'm thinking brunch next!

Awesome ambience and lovely food. Loved the tasting menu, but it was more of a 4 course meal actually. The menu could clarify that part.

This is a solid choice for a casual meal with friendly service. They take reservations but there was no wait for my party on a Sunday afternoon. There's a full bar and a patio. Weekend choices include sandwiches, salads, and interesting twists on typical brunch fare. This visit I tried the langoustine roll and enjoyed it, but if you're really hungry it won't fill you up much.
