Even though the location is not the best, their broth tastes amazing. At first, the price might seem more reasonable than other places in better parts of town. But after you add sides (egg and extra meat) to make your bowl comparable to other restaurants, price becomes less of an issue. The ramen tastes good, and location is convenient for me, so I would come back here. I would also recommend it to friends that live uptown. Service is very friendly, ambiance is just at functional level, which is the same as most restaurants in the area.

Pretty simple...this place has a small menu of straight up incredible food. One choice of ramen and that was enough since it was one of the best bowls I've had in the city. Definitely add the egg and spicy paste....the paste was perfectly blended into the broth. Only thing Id change is cutting the chashu thicker. The slices are fairly thin so maybe add the extra if you'd like a good amount of pork belly.

Came on a Saturday night. They close pretty early (8:30pm). Ordered a tonkatsu ramen and tonkatsu curry rice. Menu was limited but great for people who have trouble deciding between too many choices. Most importantly the items they serve are delicious! Probably one of the best ramens we've had in the Chicago area. Waited about 25 minutes for food. It's a small shop with one person cooking and one person working in front. Definitely worth the wait though!

Solid spot. Tonkatsu Ramen and Fried Chicken are the specialty. Very small menu but the food was awesome. Feels very authentic.

Great family run restaurant in Uptown and honestly the most authentic Japanese I’ve found in awhile. The ramen is not the most trendy but tastes so authentic with the best broth, and the gyoza is delicious. Also love that we can get Japanese curry here. It’s family-run, so there are usually kids, which we like. The only thing is that there are certain times where the kitchen seems short staffed, so it took awhile to get our food (lunch on a Monday). Otherwise, it was lovely

Unpretentious ramen joint in Uptown. I stopped here out of convenience and knew nothing about the place but it turned out to be a decent find. I’m so tired of sodium-loaded ramen in Chicago and this was milder on the saltiness. Truly a family-run hole in the wall type place. There’s a simple menu with one type of ramen and a couple other dishes. Not good if you’re looking for variety but a great place for a quick stop in for a bite.

I have been here couple times. The food is pretty authentic (Trust me I’m Asian)! Looks like it’s a family-run business so expect there are kids in the restaurant. Affordable place and nice for a quick bite.

Best ramen in Chicago. Got the Tonkotsu w/ soft boiled egg and spicy miso, and I have to say it was perfect in every way. It’s a small, family-run spot, check it out and give them your business!
