"This is the place to go for those looking for a fine-dining Chinese food experience. Modern takes on classic dishes include Jade Doornail soup buns (a take on a Beijing-style bun stuffed with onion and braised short rib) and dry pot cauliflower, a vegetarian take on the spicy classic meat version. Additional menu highlights include the tea-smoked salmon appetizer, scallop-dancing lamb, and their signature pork belly. No special reason is needed to opt for the whole roast Beijing duck experience; it’s a whole celebration on its own." - Matt Lardie

Absolutely phenomenal dining experience at G.58 Cuisine! From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed and promptly seated. Our waiter, Phillip, was exceptional—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the menu. He guided us through an unforgettable meal that started with the crispy, flavorful shrimp & duck egg rolls and expertly prepared lobster. The duck was the real highlight; you can reserve the whole Peking duck 90 minutes in advance, and it is well worth the wait. Perfectly roasted, carved for you and served with all the traditional accompaniments— it's the best we’ve ever had in an egg roll. The lamb was tender and bursting with flavor, and every cocktail we tried was well-balanced and creative. Phillip recommended a few house specialties that really impressed us. For dessert, we ended with the molten chocolate cake—rich, warm, and perfectly gooey—paired with a chilled limoncello, which was the perfect finish. The ambiance is elegant yet welcoming, ideal for both special occasions and upscale dining experience. With impeccable service, outstanding cuisine, and a thoughtful drink menu, G58 Cuisine delivers a top-tier dining experience. We will absolutely be back—and we’ll be asking for Phillip again. He made an already incredible luncheon even more memorable!

Everything was a delight from the food to the service. My wife and I got the swordfish appetizer, cauliflower, king pao sea bass and the lamb. Along with the mountain rose tea. Everything had a unique flavor profile and was exceptional. A special shout out to our server Travis, he answered all of our questions and guided us towards a wonderful dinner. We will be back for sure!

We had such a beautiful evening at G.58. The ambiance was elegant yet cozy — perfect for a date night or special dinner. We absolutely loved the duck; it was cooked to perfection, rich in flavor, and beautifully presented. The appetizers were also a standout — each one felt like a little piece of art. The service was attentive without being overbearing. You can really tell they care about quality here. Definitely one of our favorites in Raleigh! Don't forget to pre-order your duck.

Google
Delightful dining experience as the food and service here were simply great and delicious. The indoor decor is contemporary Chinese featuring beautiful Chinese art. The Peking duck was delectable. The Flora tea went well with the Chinese food. As it's an upscale Chinese restaurant, the price is slightly higher but the food and service are well worth it.

Google
I recently dined at G.58 Cuisine and was thoroughly impressed. The restaurant’s elegant decor and meticulous attention to detail create a sophisticated ambiance. The service is on par with high-end American steakhouses, attentive and professional. As someone who frequently travels to Asia and has experienced authentic Chinese cuisine, I found the dishes here to be comparable to those in upscale restaurants in China. The Peking duck was particularly noteworthy—crispy skin and succulent meat, served with traditional accompaniments. Other dishes, while seemingly simple, offered unique and innovative flavors that stayed true to regional Chinese culinary traditions. While the prices are on the higher side, they are justified by the quality of food, service, and overall dining experience. This is an ideal spot for special occasions like graduations or family gatherings. Reservations are recommended due to its popularity. In summary, G.58 Cuisine offers an authentic and refined Chinese dining experience that seamlessly blends traditional flavors with a modern, upscale setting.

It’s our wedding anniversary and my husband surprise me with upscale white table cloth lunch date at G-58, it’s quiet afternoon but I love the atmosphere, the place is bright and the decor is beautiful, Gabe our server taking care us and help us to my inquiry regards to the dish I wanted to try which is highly appreciated. My Mango mocktail was refreshing, we oder appetizer like spring roll duck and pan seared dumpling both cooked perfectly, our main dish is citrus chicken and twice cooked pork they both suits to our taste. If you like some sweet but not too sweet chicken and tenderly flavored pork. A dessert comes with candle which surprise me it’s pretty and good.

We went here for my birthday and it did not disappoint! Travis was our server and he made our experience great! He offered great insight on the dishes and helped us pick out amazing items for our dinner. We had the calamari, garlic fish dish, and a few delicious desserts. It was such a great meal and the ambiance of the restaurant is great. Loved having a delicious pot of tea with our meal as well. You can’t go wrong here! We will be back with friends.

Google
Great spot. We got a reservation here after landing at RDU, and the location is great for that. The ambiance and food is great, and the menu has a lot of variety. The menu is a little pricey, but everything we had was worth it. Everything is family style, so bigger groups are better, but I would also recommend having a reservation ahead of time. Our server, Travis, was great and made good recommendations. The drinks were just okay, but having a dedicated mocktail menu was a nice addition. We had a nut allergy, and the kitchen made us feel very welcome. Everything is made to order, so they can accommodate restrictions very well. I would absolutely recommend the garlic fish filet, which was spicy and delicious, and a very generous portion. We'll absolutely be back.

Yelp
My family went to G.58 to celebrate a birthday. Travis, our waiter, was attentive and courteous. He also hooked us up with a heater-fan which great-grandma appreciated. The food was delicious. Stand-outs were: 1. peking duck 2. string beans 3. honey citrus shrimp 4. short ribs 5. king oyster mushroom (valentine's day menu) 6. hangzhou lotus root (valentine's day menu)

Yelp
After driving a little over 4hrs from DC to Raleigh, we wanted to grab a bite before checking into our hotel. The casual dining spot that we targeted on Yelp wasn't open yet (no, I didn't notice the time) rookie Yelper mistake.. Smh! That said, we drove around the parking lot and stumbled across this gem! I told the GF before entering that I see linen table cloths which is a tale sign that this ain't Friday's we walking into.. Lol! Still in our travel attire, we could possibly be turned away!! The lovely host was nice and politely informed us that it's usually a reservation only establishment but would make a concession since we were out of towners.. Dope!! We definitely crashed the business lunch party because the rest of the patrons looked the part.. Oh well.. Lol This was Asian Fusion dining at its finest. We didn't order a lot but what we did have was excellent. My Pineapple shrimp and her Waygu fried rice were amazing. The shrimp spring rolls were just as good for a starter. Without me knowing, the GF let them know I was celebrating a bday and their response was "Say Less"! To my complete surprise I was presented with a b'day treat when we probably had no business in here with my shorts and her sweat pants on.. Lol!! Thank you G. 58 for a wonderful lunch date and we will ALWAYS return when we travel to Raleigh, but we'll be appropriately dressed.. Lol!!

Yelp
I absolutely loved G.58! This is a wonderful upscale restaurant. While it is on the pricier side, I would say that it's truly the perfect treat yourself place for a meal. I came here for a celebratory meal after my engagement. The interior is modern, clean and truly beautiful. There's really not a great comparable restaurant here in the triangle. The menu is heightened Chinese dishes with an emphasis on fine dining. While they are best known for their Peking Duck, I truly enjoyed their fish dishes. The Szechuan style fish was so tender and flavorful. Similarly, we were also impressed by the portion sizing and the artful plating of our dishes. Lastly, I really enjoyed the hot tea that I ordered to drink with my meal. I have no complaints other than I'm not able to come here more often.

Brian H.

Yelp
The restaurant is beautiful very elegant the service is very kind and knowledgeable on the menu me the wife attended lunch for Valentine's Day and we enjoy ourselves

Yelp
G.58 Cuisine was a recommendation but a chance encounter for my significant other and I. On his birthday getaway our North Carolina foodie talents started here. Service was impeccable, from the host to the waitress. Nothing was amiss. This is an upscale restaurant, linen down! It's giving little pinky finger up vibes. Definitely dress up. Let's get into it! Drinks - Delicious Wagyu/Shrimp Fried Rice - Perfection Red Velvet Cupcake - Heavenly If you're in the area stop and try! They do not disappoint.

Karen L.

Yelp
My parents took me out for lunch here for my birthday since my favorite dish is Peking duck. They don't allow you to order 1/2 duck so you have to get a full one, and it's quite pricey ($95). Normally at a restaurant a full duck will yield a couple plates of meat but here you get just a small plate, not sure where the rest of the meat goes. Taste wise, the duck was good, but maybe a bit overcooked because it was kind of dry. Ambiance of the restaurant is very nice and upscale, seems popular for business meetings. The servers are attentive and well-mannered as you would expect from a nice restaurant like this.

Sania M.

Yelp
It's a beautiful restaurant. All of decor is from china. There are private rooms as well. The food is excellent. They have 4 chefs for different parts of china. We had multiple dishes but particularly the oyster appetizer stood out. Also for those who eat halal you can get halal klamb and filet mignon. Also they have really nice teas that you should explore.

Eryn T.

Yelp
Food, staff, service...everything was great. Nice and delicious. The waiter described all dishes to the T and was spot on with his details. Everything was flavorful and each bite was so good. Will definitely be back.

Joe P.

Yelp
Greatly enjoyed our dinner. Best Asian in the area, wonderful service, excellent food, loved the soup, shrimp appetizer, sweet potato appetizer, outstanding sweet and sour pork, well made cocktail. very pricey but worth it for special evenings. the only thing I didn't like was a 20% tip added to the bill for 2 people! I would certainly add the 20% to the total as the service was very good but the owner should in no way add it without asking. Then a second line added to the bill for 'additional tip'. Owner, pay your staff more you cheapskate. We will go back but I'll tell the hostess on the way in that the tip is up to me and not the owner.

Lloyd M.

Yelp
The food was mixed. Pork ribs special was fantastic. Broccolini and soup dumplings both good. Found the short rib okay but not great and the green beans just didn't have a taste I loved. The value also wasn't really there, prices were high given the mixed quality.

JC G.

Yelp
Took the hostess a while to greet us by the door. Good food. Honey citrus shrimp and pork belly were good. The Dancing Lamb (something) was so so. Service was slow. Ambiance is classy. Only problem was that it was cold as f_ck. If we're paying $200 for 2 people, we expect some heat. Not like you're in a cheap Chinese takeout trying to save on the electricity bill.

Yvonne H.

Yelp
Celebrated our anniversary at G.58 Cuisine this evening. Ordered the Peking Duck one of my husband's favorite. AMAZING. The skin crisp and will melt in your mouth. The sides were delish. Our server was Ellie. She was knowledgeable and very attentive. She recommended food options (due to food allergies) The overall experience was great. We met Q. After our meal, she came to our table and engaged in conversation. We recommend this restaurant to anyone that can appreciate great food.

Yelp
** Overall ** (+3 stars) Over-priced location posing as upscale Chinese restaurant in the Triangle. Foods are heavily sauced and you are served limited quantity for the amount paid. I can't justify coming back here. ** Taste/Authenticity ** (+1 Star) Dishes tried included: Pork Belly, Soup Bun, String Bean, Croaker fish, Shrimp Fried Rice, and Cha Siu appetizer. The food is generally on the spicier side (heat) and the sauces were heavy with sugar and thickener. The shrimp fried rice was obviously cooked using a wok, as noted by the flavor that can only be produced by high heat. Refer to Uncle Roger videos. This was on par with authentic restaurants. Pork Belly had a sugary glaze since we ordered sweet instead of spicy for the children. Indeed, this was extremely sugary but the dish was cooked to produce the desired softness in the skin/fat, but the meat was rather tough and stringy for such a soft and tender dish. Soup buns was only okay. The pan frying gave a bit of chew on the skin of the bun, but nothing to write home. String Bean dish was given thin delegate slicing and had a spicy overall flavor. It was neither crunch nor soggy. Again, nothing to brag about here. Croaker fish was a fried fish with heavy saucing that ended with a bit of spicy (heat) kick. Meat was tender and easy to eat with a plate of rice. Overall flavor was on par with a Sam Woo type of restaurant. Cha Siu appetizer was the same as the pork belly, just thinly sliced instead of giving you big chunks of meat. Flavor and color is relatively accurate but it does come with... you guessed it... more sauce. Overall, these were generally in line with Chinese restaurant offerings from other states. ** Quality ** (+1 star) Food quality seemed okay and we did not detect anything unusual such as strange odors or rotting ingredients. However, it should be noted that sauce was rampant everywhere so it may have covered up anything that could be bad. ** Cleanliness ** (+1 star) Very clean facility. Bathrooms and settings were all clean. We did not detect any direct silverware or bowls. ** Service ** (+0 star) We got the general water refills and light touches. For a restaurant as expensive as this, I would have expected significantly more. Nothing wrong with the service we got if this were a lower costing restaurant, but it should go hand-in-hand with the cost of the dishes. Silverware, such as the chop sticks, looked a bit worn and we were given forks and knives as place settings. No bowls for dishes such as fried rice, which should have been an obvious item to provide in any Chinese restaurant. At expensive Chinese restaurants, they would change your bowls/plates halfway through your meal. ** Value ** (+0 star) I don't know of any other Chinese restaurant in the world that charges as much as this restaurant, for the dishes served. I have literally eaten at Chinese restaurants in all of the major hot spots - LA, OC, SF, HOU, NY, and China - and have never been charged for food as expensive as this place, and with the limited amount you receive for each dish.

Yelp
The most outstanding Chinese cuisine I have ever eaten very upscale, perfectly presented and absolutely delicious

Yelp
I've had two really wonderful dinners at G58. The ambiance here is definitely upscale, so I would dress up accordingly. The service has been spot on, super friendly, and helpful. On my most recent visit I went with a larger group so we were able to try a great variety. First off the Peking duck is delicious. You have to call them or note you your reservation that you would like the duck. The skin was so crispy and I loved the fresh pancakes and elevated sauces. Dipping the crispy skin in sugar was not something I've tried before. Our server helped us navigate the menu a bit. We ended up getting their filet and two types of fishes to share to share for entrees. The fish that they boil in hot oil was amazing. It didn't have a super enticing description on the menu, but our server let us know that it wasn't crazy spicy and was perfect for sharing. It held true to his promises! The filet also melted in your mouth and the table loved the beef dumplings as appetizers. I also love that they bring out a little red velvet cake with a candle if you are there for a celebration. Just a nice little touch!

Yelp
We enjoyed everything from the moment we came inside!! The woman at the front was very nice and kind to us as she brought us to the table. She mentioned how everything was made in house, from their cocktails, cocktails and their tea. The inside decor was absolutely stunning. Beautiful table sets, beautiful paintings. The service was very nice too. Very friendly, helpful and patient. The pot of tea was a bit pricey but very delicious in a beautiful pot. My sister and I got two dishes to split and they were so yummy! We got the waygu fried rice and the sweet and sour pork. It was the best sweet and sour either of us have ever had. Covered in sauce, yet so deliciously crispy. We can't wait to come back with our partners and have a little double date!! It felt like we were dining in new York.

D S.

Yelp
Way too expensive for what you get. The spring rolls were regular Chinese restaurant quality at a premium price and the cauliflower was a great disappointment in quantity and taste, especially charging $28 for such a small quantity of food that's supposed to be shareable for the table. First and only visit for me.

Benjamin H.

Yelp
I came here to try the Peking duck and I found that many other dishes were also notable. We started with the egg rolls, but they are pretty standard. The Szechuan fried fish was kind of like a hot pot, but so much more tender. It was unreal. The pork belly was perfectly done, with a sweet and salty glaze. And the Peking duck was generous enough for four, along with 12 rice wraps and a variety of condiments. What stood out the most was how knowledgeable the wait staff was, being able to describe the preparation and other aspects of the dishes. It made the meal that much more enjoyable. The only downside was the price. I've had these dishes in San Francisco, and you can get the same quality for less money. That seems a bit out of place for somewhere in Morrisville.

Yelp
I was very excited to try G.58 considering all of the good reviews. We decided to go celebrate a birthday and made reservations. The inside of the building was minimal and aesthetically pleasing. We were seated immediately and our server was attentive and pleasant. The Pink Lady was bright and refreshing. The spring rolls were okay, the soup buns were super juicy and tasty and the shrimp was a very small portion but good. Overall the dining experience was high end but I was hoping for the food to be a little more seasoned and for the portions to be a little bigger. Otherwise it was an overall pleasant experience.

Aisha B.

Yelp
Scrolling thru Instagram for new eateries to try; I came across G.58. The video referenced it as an "upscale Chinese restaurant ". Since upscale is in the eye of the beholder, I said I'm gonna see for myself! My husband made a reservation, I don't remember if it's mandatory or highly recommended but make a reservation. The confirmation clearly tells you that business casual attire is required (that's letting me know everything I needed to know). When we arrived it was an hour earlier than our reservation ( we have to drive an hour to get to Raleigh). When you walk in you're greeted by a beautiful bar area and welcoming staff. Brandon was our waiter and he was AWESOME! He explained everything and would ask us our food preferences so he could recommend dishes. Everything is served family style so be prepared to share. We had seasonal mock tails to start us out and they were entirely too tasty! The crispy short rib - this was served luke warm and that threw us off a bit. BUT it was sticky, flavorful AND tender! The Jiangnan Chinese Salad - lite and refreshing! This was a blend of coleslaw veggies with bits of apple and orange peel. The dressing was a light vinaigrette and we couldn't get enough of it. Black Truffle Filet - tender and flavorful. Shaved pieces of garlic added that chefs kiss. Tempura Lobster tail - I was on the fence with this one. It was sincerely pieces of lobster tail tempura fried. It's also surrounded in a spicy breadcrumb mix so you're able to eat around the breadcrumbs if you prefer no spice. There isn't a sauce nor is this seasoned with anything so I was feeling like that was a small miss. Gold and Silver Chinese Bun - you receive 14 buns (7 fried and 7 steamed). They are served with a condensed milk dipping sauce which is literally a bowl of condensed milk. If you're unfamiliar with condensed milk it's a very thick sweet cream. It compliments the buns very nicely. **please note these are NOT yeast rolls** Crème brûlée - this was a typical crème brûlée. The pudding was great and the sugar wasn't burned so I really appreciated that All and all the service was great and the food was as well. The pricing is more of a $$$$ so plan accordingly. But it's a great place to go for any special occasion you're looking to celebrate. Bon Appetite !

Audrey B.

Yelp
The food was great. The ambiance and service was top tier. The egg rolls... chefs kiss!

Yelp
My experience with G.58 was amazing from food taste, venue to service. Now, this is not your typical Chinese restaurant but it doesn't mean it is not traditional. I would label G.58 a fine-dining Chinese restaurant. They use high quality ingredients, meticulous thoughts into the taste and presentation. Food: we had Peking duck (whole), home made fried, steam soup dumpling, soup and fried buns for 3 people and it was plenty. Peking duck was amazing, juicy meat and crunchy skin with exceptional sides. Dumpling was great too, full flavor. Soup dumpling wasn't so soupy. The chicken broth with the ball - little bland (salt) but it was a great clean flavored broth. Fried bun wa good but honestly, I've had better. We ordered various mixed drinks and they were all delicious. Venue: spacious & luxurious Service: service was exceptional. The server knew everything about the restaurant: food menu, how each dishes are prepared, history of the chefs and owner of the restaurant. It was quite inspiring. Price: $$$ Going back again

Yelp
The ambiance and decor are amazing with several art pieces that look like they belong in an art museum. Service was very professional. We thought that reservations wouldn't be necessary, but if you are going on a Friday or Saturday evening, then I would recommend getting a reservation in advance. Despite no reservation, we got lucky and were still able to get a table due to a last minute cancellation. The food was fairly good. The presentation for the dancing lamb and seafood supreme were nice. The dancing lamb comes out sizzling on a cast iron, and they light the seafood supreme clay pot on fire before serving it to you. I thought the soup dumplings were excellent and the best item we ordered in terms of taste/quality. In retrospect I would consider either getting the duck (note that the duck needs 1.5 hrs to cook so you need to tell them you will be ordering this dish in advance) instead of two entrees or ordering several appetizers instead of entrees as we saw other patrons doing. No kids menu. Dress code is technically business casual, but there were several people dressed relatively casual while we were there.

Lynn B.

Yelp
This is my favorite place to take ME, my families and friends for a super special meal. I have also taken my board of directors because it is so amazing and everyone loved it. Not only do I love the food, but I love the service. Travis and others always find a way to make the experience personal and top notch. I will be back soon for my birthday and other days I want to celebrate. I HIGHLY recommend this, but it is not cheap so don't be surprised.

Kathy W.

Yelp
Went for lunch last Sunday, it was my hubby's birthday. We got there early before noon so it was not crowded. I like it that they do change their menu every once in a while so you can always try something now. Again loved all dishes. Black pepper beef is our fav - beef is very tender and flavorful. Pork belly would be the immediate next - melts in your mouth and it's not greasy with the sweetness of dates and chestnut. My son lives the buns - he can eat that for his meal. But he also like the beef and pork. Kong pao is not bad but nothing to waw about. Cauliflower is another favorite- always good. 3 of us almost finished all - that said , I do think the portion size could be improved.

Yelp
I ordered food to go for lunch on a weekday, and it was a fairly seamless process. I called with my order, and it was ready within 15 minutes of my call, which I was impressed with. When I arrived to pick it up, I had to wait about 5 minutes before anyone came to greet me, but I guess they were busy or understaffed at the moment - it wasn't too long of a wait, though. Here is what I ordered, listed in order of what I liked most to what I liked least: -Szechuan Spice Chicken - This was roughly half-inch cubes of chicken with spicy chilis, onions, peppers, and scallions. It was definitely spicy, which I appreciated. The spice didn't overpower the overall flavor of the dish, though - so it was the right amount for me. The chicken was tender and fried, so I enjoyed the contrast in texture. This was my favorite dish of the ones I tried, mainly because of the spice level. -Shanghai Soup Buns - I got 4 steamed buns that were pan-seared on the bottom. Each bun was filled with pork, and the pork was moist and flavorful. I thought they did a good job with the quality and flavoring of the pork, and I just like buns in general, so they didn't mess this up. -Shacha Short Rib Hot Pot - This was short rib with a shacha sauce, along with red and green peppers, broccoli, and onions. Shacha sauce is a savory and sweet sauce made with oil, shallots, garlic, and usually some kind of dried seafood (fish or shrimp). I'm not 100% sure if they used any seafood in their sauce, but the shacha was still tasty and didn't overpower the dish. The sauce had more tomato base than I anticipated, which I guess added to the sweetness of the dish, but I kind of wish it was less tomato-y. The meat was still very tender in spite of being served in larger 2-inch strips. -Black Pepper Beef - This dish was skirt steak with black pepper sauce and bell peppers. Honestly, the flavors were fairly standard - just black pepper with beef. Nothing really stood out except that the beef quality was good - it was pretty tender and cut to the right thickness. -Peking Duck Soup - This was a creamy soup made from duck bones and included cabbage, small dried shrimp, tofu, ginger, and green onions. I wouldn't recommend it. I didn't appreciate the creaminess of the soup, and the meat was too chewy to eat. The soup had depth of flavor, and the duck came through in the soup well, but I just wasn't a fan of the consistency of the soup. -Duck Spring Rolls - These were spring rolls with duck, cabbage, mushroom, carrots, onions, and sweet chili sauce on side. I'm not sure why I decided to order this, but I wouldn't recommend it. There was nothing special about this spring roll in terms of flavor, texture, or ingredients, in my opinion. Overall, it was a good meal - I appreciated the different takes on dishes and the quality of the ingredients. The lunch menu seems more reasonable from a price standpoint compared to the dinner menu, even though I expect you get less food during lunch. I'm just not sure I would personally want to spend dinner prices. Lunch is doable, though. I was glad to have tried a variety of dishes, some of which I really enjoyed. I didn't have any issues with the service, either.

Yelp
My family's favorite restaurant in North Carolina. We come here anytime we are visiting. Pros - amazing food. We always get the Peking duck (have to call in advance), lions head soup, ribs, pork belly, and pan-seared dumplings. The pan seared dumplings is so juicy and delicious. The pork belly is rich and needs to be eaten with rice. The duck is their quintessential dish and they can use the bones to cook a nice soup for you as well. Cons - very pricey, but worth it. Overall, definitely the most authentic and delicious Chinese food in the research triangle. Definitely make visit if you have the time. Great place to host guests and celebrate events as well

Roger K.

Yelp
Hands-down, the most elegant Chinese food experience in town! Many of us have driven by this basic brick building and didn't really understand what was going on inside. This place is insane. It's the most authentic Chinese food that you can find as well as the most elegant experience. When you walk in, it's like walking into a museum of fine art. With plus beautiful seating, and gorgeous lighting. This place is the perfect place to take someone on a date, to celebrate some type of awesome, milestone or more.

Beverly F.

Yelp
Amazing! A must go to! Upscale and sexy! Great for date night yet family friendly as well. Bring the platinum card because dinner for 2 will be well over $160. Worth every penny! The beautiful lighting added to the decor. The silk print wall in the other dinning room was gorgeous! The service, the ambiance, the vibe and the food were outstanding! (Even the restrooms) The cuisine was stellar! Amazing!

Yelp
A group of seven of us dined here last evening and we had an amazing experience, or at least I did. First our server and photographer Travis is a treasure and an asset. He is so knowledgeable and was engaging. He is certainly a G.58 Geek , but in the best way. Everything we had was amazing. Travis guided us perfectly. This is not fast food, this is like going to a friend's home to experience something legit, new and delicious. No Fried Rice No Lo Mein Actually, no chicken on the menu! (or none we noticed) Helenia gave us the benefit of an extra level of personalized experience and Travis was the perfect server. He stepped right up. from Motown ( the soundtrack for the evening) to pie .. pumpkin vs sweet potato. Thank you to my host so free evening and Travis!! He is a superstar! My one regret is that my phone was dying so l don't have food photos. Sincerely Tonya

Yelp
I have seen this place a million times over. Always thought about going and never had a chance until tonight. The occasion was a birthday dinner with the ladies. Great company always needs a great location to celebrate, right? In true YELPER fashion, we arrived prior to the event to look around and take in the environment. The location is very convenient and with ease to locate. You are greeted with a grand entry and friendly faces. They were very timely in having everything ready and were just awaiting our arrival. It didn't look to be a very busy night, so I can't speak for how this might have been if they had a larger volume of people. The décor made for the feel of being in an art gallery almost. The hostess provided me a brief history of the restaurant. Once we all arrived and ready, we were led to our table and greeted also immediately with our server of the evening. The dining room had a modern Asian vibe to it, the table was a good size for dining, the chairs were so comfortable - it was an amazing setting for the evening. As someone with a few food allergies, it can be hard to navigate what you can and can't eat. However, once we spoke with the server, he made sure to ask for clarification to ensure I was safe with my choices for dinner. For the evening, my personal order was: Asian White Coffee: an instant coffee with cream and sugar - $4 King Oyster Mushrooms: mushrooms with a sauce on them. - $16 Pork Ribs: a flavor was good; the meat was a little on the drier side. For me, you got a good serving size of them to enjoy. - $42 A few things to keep in mind, you do not get any sides with your dish - however, you could order something from the menu if you needed more. For what I got, I felt nothing additional was needed. We did have pork dumplings and cauliflower for the table. The cauliflower has a little kick with it if you are not ready - get ready lol. Overall, I enjoyed the time with friends. I wouldn't say I would be jumping to come back. The food was good, nothing to write home about - I believe that was the most disappointing part for me. There are a few things to note - a party of 4 or more 20% gratuity is automatically included (this is on the website). It is not noted that they do not do more than two tabs at the table. That would have been nice to know about PRIOR- so we all could have come with cash. In the end we worked it out, however, it was a little annoying being it wasn't an upfront element we could have easily prepared for if we had known.

Yelp
We came here for a birthday dinner during the week. The restaurant has a business causal dress code. Reservations were made prior to us dining in so we were seated right away. The restaurant wasn't busy so we didn't have to wait long for our server to come over & greet us. He was nice but he had to double check on multiple things that we inquired about. There was also communication issues during our visit. The restaurant is spacious and had several tables with very large & comfortable seats, and white linens on the table. The decor inside of the restaurant and in the bathroom was very beautiful. Music also played in the background. Our food was brought out to us fairly quickly after we ordered. Beef dumplings were ordered for the table. The dumplings were pan seared and served with a special soy sauce. They weren't bad. I did not try the sauce. I ended up ordering the sea bass. The sea bass was pan seared & topped with a brandy sauce. The fish was bland and very small in size for the price of $52. My meal was paired with spinach infused rice and two small half pieces of asparagus. The rice was good. I was not impressed with the rest of my meal at all. Luckily my entree came with sides. No one else's did at my table. And the small size of the side dish that was ordered was very small compared to the price that was that charged. The restaurant does provide cake & strawberries with a candle when celebrating a birthday. With parties of four or more the restaurant charges you a 20% gratuity and they will only allow two separate payments per table. They also did not accept a combination payment of cash and card for one check. Besides the restaurant being pretty, everything else was lacking.

Yelp
Everything from the start to finish is amazing. The service is top notch, food delicious and environment is comfortable. Did. Or taste a single bad item and the seasoning is amazing. I MUST return.

Yelp
The ambience itself is beautiful. As you walk inside you notice the subtle but beautiful art that is carefully placed throughout the restaurant. Jeremy, our server, was attentive and knowledgeable. Now for the best part, the food. Absolutely. Amazing! Literally the best meal I have had in years. For starters we had the Fried Lobster Wontons, Yin Yang Chicken and the Jiangnan Salad. Nothing was left on the plate. Nothing. You can tell everything is made with fresh ingredients and prepared to order. For entrees we enjoyed the Szechuan Pan Seared Steak, Lobster Black Pepper and Shrimp Fried Rice (although not on the dinner menu you can make a special request). We finished with a wonderful green tea and crème brulee. My husband and I were blown away by the flavors. These dishes were quite simply, perfection on a plate! We will be back and likely before September ends. This is a MUST dine in the Raleigh Durham area.

Yelp
I dined here for a birthday celebration. This restaurant is convenient to my home. The location is perfect. I love that the parking was effortless. A nice building with many places to take nice photos. The staff who initially made contact with us was the hostess who took our photos. I encourage you not to let the staff know you've arrived earlier if you are planning to capture special moments. There seemed to be a rush to be seated since we arrived early. Unacceptable. We were seated in the larger dining area. The chairs are comfortable. The table had a nice centerpiece with fresh flowers, and overall, the restaurant decor was beautiful. We met our server, who seemed nice enough but uneducated about questions about the wine and how the food was prepared. Our server couldn't answer many of our basic questions, and it was draining to wait for answers to simple questions one should know as an employee. My dirty martini was perfect. The beef dumplings were good. The oyster mushrooms were okay. The cauliflower was good; some pieces were spicy due to peppers but not very tender, so if that's your preference, do not order. The cumin lamb chops were very good, but I did not enjoy the cashew pieces in this dish. Overall, there isn't much to get excited about here. The prices do not align with the food or service. The price speaks for upscale restaurants with a high-quality dining experience and food, and this is not it. I plan to go back and try lunch. I'm curious.

Yelp
Super fine dinning! Absolutely, the best Chinese cuisine. Beijing ducks, wagyu fried rice, fish fillets with garlic sauce, and Rose herbal tea pot! Price was expensive but it is worth it.

Yelp
Ambiance was beautiful, and the food was delicious but I think a bit overpriced. For starters, the vegetable spring rolls were hit, crunchy and full of vegetables. The wyagu beef fried rice was the best fried rice I've ever tasted (which is not pictured). The hubby Szechuan steak was tender, juicy and flavorful. The only reason for the four stars is that our server overcharged us for the shrimp entree and I had to bring it to his attention. Overall it's a nice restaurant to celebrate special occasions.

Yelp
We learned of G.58 from. TicTock post. The recommendation was "The most authentic Chinese restaurant outside of China. The videos were inviting. The ambiance was pleasant and appealing. The staff was attentive . There was a specific reference to the Peking Duck. My wife and I have never been to China but we have dined at excellent ChInese dining establishments from New York to LA, San Fransisco and Seattle. The duck was not separated from the skin, which produced a fatty, rubbery texture at $95. The seasoning was lacking. We respectfully provided feedback to our waiter who explained that that specific preparation was discontinued because it was too time consuming. Perplexing, since in the better restaurants the dish must be ordered 24 hours in advance. We were advised by G.38 that request for the duck needed to be submitted 60 minutes in review. That should have been a clue that this dish would not be the same as others we had enjoyed. We tried Crispy Lobster Wontons, and Crispy Mango Shrimp, both were good. The Seafood Supreme was good, limited in scallops and shrimp and therefor not worth $55. Questionable if we will return.

Yelp
Amazing dinner at G.58! The ambiance and decor are first class and the staff is very attentive and welcoming. We made sure to order a peking duck ahead of time as we adore peking duck. At $95, it's good but the size of the portion was quite small. We'll probably pass on the duck for future visits but the truffle beef, chilean sea bass and honey shrimp entrees were all spectacular. Already planning a return visit!

Yelp
I had a great experience at G58, the food was exceptional prepared. We ordered different selections from each category such as seafood, pot belly, chicken, and lobster fried rice. Highly recommended Pricey Classy

Yelp
First the good thing about the restaurant... The service was very good. Next the things that were not so good... Food inconsistency. At the kind of prices this place charges in the Raleigh area, everything should taste and look great. Not the case... We started with duck spring rolls and a Chinese salad to share among the table. The spring rolls were delicious, but the Chinese salad tasted like Cole slaw that was a little on the dry side for $15.00. Probably the biggest miss of the night was the Gold and Jade string beans - which look nothing like the online picture. They were sliced like French green beans and were soft and soggy. They would have been a disappointment at $5.00, but at $28.00, they were a disaster. I had the lamb chops which were good but with all of the added spices and nut coating, it was impossible for any lamb flavor to come through. Another in our party had the Honey Citrus Shrimp - that was excellent. And the third person had the Chilean sea bass. The fish was bland and the dish overall was meh. The ambience was okay. It was a little too bright inside and while the art work was interesting, the music of Gladys Night and Aretha was incongruous given the setting. At over $80 per person, in this area, this was a once and done visit to this establishment for me.

Yelp
First off the restaurant is beautiful and Scott our waiter/ bartender was great! We were celebrating our anniversary and my birthday. (We usually go to Capital Grille, but decided to give G.58 a try.) The drinks were good and the complimentary birthday cake was delicious! However, I was really disappointed with the food. We ordered Ying Yang Chicken, Pan Seared Argentine Shrimp, Garlic Pork Spareribs and Dry Pot Cauliflower. Our appetizer was cold, the ribs came out about 10 minutes before we got the shrimp and cauliflower. The Cauliflower and drinks were the highlight of the meal! Would I recommend this restaurant? Probably not. Our bill was $176.00 plus $30.00 for the tip.. For great Asian food in a nice setting, I recommend 5 Star downtown Raleigh! And Capital Grille for special occasions! I'm giving stars for the Cauliflower!

Yelp
Will recommend if looking for a descent place for business conversations, dating someone, or a serious family dinner. Need reservation and reservation for Peking duck, so better call in. The Peking duck is okay, but definitely not authentic. The fat between the skin and meet is too thick, and the way to slice the duck is not the traditional way so the slices were too thick. I was happy with the duck soup; just FYI it was $10 each bowl additional. Hangzhou lotus root was delicious. Server was friendly and professional and I like the decorations. We were automatically charged 20% gratuity for party of four. At least I did not notice anywhere on the menu talks about the tip rule so it was a bit surprising.

Yelp
This is Chinese fine dinning which we rarely find in the US. It's not American Chinese orange chicken, it's neither the authentic street corner Sichuan stir fry kitchen. Every banquet dinner has to have 烤鸭 Peking Duck $52/$95 is not a bad price if you order the duck at any classy restaurant in Beijing it will cost north of 1500 rmb which is about $200 usd. G58 signature pork belly 红烧肉 is so juicy and tender that Mao will surely approve. This is a Hunan dish sometimes called Red braised pork belly. They call it signature 招牌 dish here and the fat melts in your mouth. The third dish that I will try next time is the Cherry Foi Gras. This one is goose liver mousse with cherry glaze served chilled. It looks very interesting and the $24 pricing is comparable with any French restaurant. Cary NC has over 20% Chinese population and the patrons should be proud of the culinary class of G58. It's neither fast or casual.

Yelp
10/10! What a delicious experience it was. Our first time here and the food knocked our socks off. Our waiter Travis was top notch and was so kind and accommodating to our two little (7 and 4 y.o.). Every single dish was impeccable. We ate so much and left completely fulfilled! We will be back (without the kiddos), because the vibe is definitely more of a date night / adult setting.

Yelp
One of the best experiences that I've had in the triangle area hands-down. I'm from up in New York area and it is very difficult to find traditional Chinese food with an elevated touch. We had a really good server and she let us know that it's not fusion which I was very happy to hear, but it is traditional Chinese cuisine presented with a high-end touch. The Peking duck, was some of the best I've ever eaten and the skin was perfectly crisp till the end. It is expensive but it's worth it. Everything we had was phenomenal and if you're looking for a really good time out with your family and want to drop a little cash, this is the place to take them. A little backstory that I learned: the owners who moved here are four brothers and sisters and they wanted that traditional taste of Chinese food, but they couldn't find in the triangle area so they opened up this restaurant. They don't have heaters in the back to keep the food warm which means that once it hits the plate, it comes right out. The duck takes three days to prepare, so you should call and ask them to reserve a duck. Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic.

Yelp
Exceptional food. Everything we ordered were high quality. They looked nice and taste great. I would say we like perking duck with wraps like more than in buns. Duck bones can make into soup, but had to pay $25 xtra. Negatives: only 2 things. (1) braised pork belly was a too sweet. We need to adjust with some soy sauce. (2) Asian dining needs many sauces, condiments, chili oil, fresh chili, many bowls, etc. We would appreciate if waiters/ waitress understand this and be nice and attentive to us. Finally, I would definitely go back here.

Yelp
Serious drop since last visited a couple months ago! New chef, new recipe. And it had ruined the duck soup it's known for. Quality of service dropped quite a bit even in during a quiet day - slow and unresponsive The interior hasn't changed much either. Not recommended

Yelp
Can't say enough how much I enjoyed every dish and loved the atmosphere of this place. Definitely a Chinese dining place I wished we have more of. Pricey in my opinion but will still return to try the others on the menu. Service was top notch however got my drink wrong once.
