On the Grid : Gagosian Gallery

"Hidden away down this tiny street is one of the many Gagosian Galleries scattered over the world. Here they make full use of their tiny space with exhibitions that justify the Gagosian’s strong reputation." - Sam Morris

6 Exciting Things To Eat & Do In London Between July 23rd - 25th

"Famed for preserving dead sharks and his funky ‘spin paintings’, artist Damien Hirst is currently doing a takeover of Gagosian’s King’s Cross gallery. Wander around the Relics and Fly Paintings exhibition (which arguably looks deeply interesting but somewhat depressing), safe in the knowledge that happy Cantonese spot Dimsum and Duck is a casual 5-minute stroll down the road. Get involved in their roasted meats, a trio of delicate and delightful prawn and chive dumplings, and a glorious foursome of delicious pork balls. Plus, this place is BYOB so we’re officially giving you an excuse to crack out that nice bottle of vino you’ve been saving for the right occasion." - heidi lauth beasley

Very good contemporary art gallery not far from Bond Street Underground station and across the road from the other Gagosian gallery in Grosvenor Hill. The gallery is only small but exhibits some interesting work. I last saw a show by Turner Prize winning artist Richard Wright which included a piece of dizzying op art.

A small, but really strong show of new works by Jenny Savile. Well worth a visit.

Wonderful to see so many youngsters interested in the work of Tyler Mitchell, it’s a beautiful collection.

Great exhibition on friends Auerbach, Freud, Bacon and Andrews. Gagosian is the perfect size for an exhibition.... enough to tell the story, few enough to not overwhelm. And a gallery without all the stuff....no cafe, shop, bar. Just 4 rooms of art. Go.

Love the Helen Frankenthaler pieces in this exhibition

Very cool gallery just a shame all the accompanying books to do with this exhibition were for browsing only with limited availability to buy online, not ideal but a great show and a hidden gem, worth finding the gallery just for the work in this show alone!

Yelp
Fantastically big space. Reminded me so much of the White Cube and Newport Street Gallery and this new space of I'm not mistaken IS designed by the very same architects. Really cool and spacious. Very similar. Less intimate but gives the art more room with yourself to breathe and step back. They hosted a fabulous Warhol Avedon exhibit that I really enjoyed.
