"Famed for preserving dead sharks and his funky ‘spin paintings’, artist Damien Hirst is currently doing a takeover of Gagosian’s King’s Cross gallery. Wander around the Relics and Fly Paintings exhibition (which arguably looks deeply interesting but somewhat depressing), safe in the knowledge that happy Cantonese spot Dimsum and Duck is a casual 5-minute stroll down the road. Get involved in their roasted meats, a trio of delicate and delightful prawn and chive dumplings, and a glorious foursome of delicious pork balls. Plus, this place is BYOB so we’re officially giving you an excuse to crack out that nice bottle of vino you’ve been saving for the right occasion." - heidi lauth beasley
