Gaig

"After renovation, this relaxed and friendly restaurant run by the same family as its namesake in Barcelona has doubled in size. Catalan classics like the cannelloni are prepared the same way as they were back in the 19th century, and their tapas portion sizes allow diners to sample a wider variety. Recommendations include lamb shoulder with trinxat and mint pesto. The wine list has a great Spanish selection that’s available at a reasonable price." - Michelin Inspector

We made reservation and was seated promptly. The food was very nice and delicious. Anchovies were served on a fish-shaped biscuit. The tomato soup with ice cream was so unique and tasted good. Seafood was our least favourite though. Host also gave a brief explanation on the food and how best to enjoy it whenever she served a new dish.

A Catalan Home Away from Home From the moment we stepped in, Gaig felt like dining at a close friend’s house—warm and inviting. The staff were attentive, guiding us through the dishes and sharing background on family recipes . All the dishes are very good and definitely worth coming back!

The tapas tasting menu gave a good representation of the different dishes served. The flavors of all the dishes were exquisitely balanced, w that of a pair of anchovies, cured differently, particularly memorable. And our favorite for the evening was the cold tomato soup w jamon ice cream. The presentations were absolutely delicate, sufficiently bite-sized n ooompy! All paired with the right wine, of course. Service could be a bit proactive, e.g. to replenish the drinks? The decor was elegant n oozed serenity simultaneously. As a note, the restaurant is also in Barcelona. Keep it up!

One of the best, if not the best, Spanish restaurants I've been to in Singapore. Amazing food (literally everything was super tasty) and an even better service (actually Spanish!). You can tell the raw materials are very good. They can also make Roscón de Reyes if you order over WhatsApp! They even gave us a birthday surprise, they gave us some small desserts with a candle and a cute Polaroid photo they took of us in a birthday card. I can't recommend this place enough! Muchas gracias

Our meal started with an impressive appetizer - a crispy croquette perched atop a white pedestal, garnished with delicate jamón ibérico, demonstrating both technical skill and artistic plating. A standout dish featured grilled pineapple topped with premium jamón and yellow dots of what appeared to be a carefully crafted sauce. The combination of sweet, charred fruit with the saltiness of the cured ham showed thoughtful flavor pairing. The octopus dish was particularly noteworthy - expertly grilled tentacle presented in a striking curved formation over a creamy sauce, accompanied by crispy seaweed and fresh chives. The texture contrast between the tender octopus and crispy elements demonstrated masterful cooking technique. Love the sangria garnished with fresh citrus, showing attention to detail even in the drinks. The plating consistently impressed, with each dish served on distinctive dark plateware that provided an elegant canvas for the food. The restaurant's commitment to presentation extends to their service, with staff thoughtfully offering to take photos for guests. Overall, Gaig delivers an elevated dining experience that successfully balances traditional Spanish flavors with contemporary presentation and technique.

We recently came to Gaig Singapore for a colleague’s birthday celebration, and I must say, it was a great experience! I hadn’t heard of this place before, but the cozy atmosphere and excellent service made a great first impression. We all got the set menu each and added on some ala carte. The dishes were above average, with the jamon croquette and canelon being my absolute favorites—so so delicious! The wines were also top-notch. Overall, it’s definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for a cozy spot with quality food and drinks.

Not a fan of fancy restaurants, but this was actually well done. Style meets substance with lots of bold flavours stealing the show.

My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary with a dinner at Gaig and had a really enjoyable meal. The restaurant felt really cozy, and the service was warm and personal. We both ordered the dinner set menu and selected one of each choice. We were pleasantly surprised that the restaurant took the initiative to split our choices into two portions so that we could each try everything. We were also given a complimentary plate of post dessert treats and even had a Polaroid taken to remember our dinner there, which was a really nice touch. The food was generally good. We ordered 2 appetizers to add to our dinner set menu, and it's a good thing that we did because we would definitely have left there hungry otherwise. The most memorable dishes that we had were the Carpaccio De Carabineros, Vieiras (scallops, jamon iberico, and artichokes), and the Magret De Pato (duck magret with pear mille feuille, potato, and mojo picon). Those were delicious!
