⸻ I had a disappointing experience at this Asian grocery store today. First of all, the owner was quite unfriendly and unwelcoming, which made the atmosphere uncomfortable. Second, the pricing on the shelves was misleading. For example, I picked up an item based on the price tag shown, but it rang up at a higher price at checkout. Lastly, the overall service experience was poor. I didn’t feel valued as a customer, and I don’t think I’ll be returning.

I love going here and getting the essentials for my favorite Korean dishes. I make routine trips to stock up periodically. They have quite a selection at really good prices!

Google
Very good selection of Korean and Asian products. Clean and they have an option for serving food too. Very delicious 😋

Google
This was my second time shopping here and I will come again. There is a wide range of products with labels for individuals who can't read the language. I needed help looking for a product and the worker was so helpful. The kitchen also serves delicious meals. Highly recommended checking out.

Large variety, staff was friendly & patient (I had lots of questions) will definitely be back!

One fish bone for $13.72? no produce date, no expiration date. No name of the product.

Google
They have the viral fruit ice cream pops and the Korner Kitchen is located here... I've heard the food is good but I haven't tried anything yet...

Google
Clean well-organized store, great selection of quality Korean groceries, ingredients, and products, including kimchi, rice, noodles, spices, sesame, oils, vinegars, gochujang, dengjang, seaweed, geem, vegetables, sprouts, mushrooms, napa, radishes, tofu, sliced beef and pork, fish and seafood, mandu, treats, teas, sodas, soju, and desserts, as well as rice cookers, tableware, clay pots, and utensils. Run by very sweet and helpful people. Prepared foods and takeout counter inside. Accepts EBT.

Yelp
After being sold last year and having new owners, Galleria is still best Asian market in the Ann Arbor-Ypsilanti area hands down. They have added additional items in the store since the pandemic, including cooking items like, triangular rice molds for making onigiri, disposable chopsticks, and tableware. The management has also added a few new types of rice, including Tamanishiki, which is a super premium short grain rice that is used in high quality Japanese restaurants. "This type of rice is a combination of Koshihikari rice and Yumegokochi rice, with a rich flavor and excellent texture." Likewise, they carry Nishiki, and various Korean brands as well As always, the interior or the store is very, very clean, and items are well stocked. Likewise, the staff will go out of their way to special order some items if they are not normally carried on the shelves. The best thing is that they added a small eatery in the store called the "Korner Kitchen," which offers a very diversified menu of Japanese, Korean, and Taiwanese items.

Yelp
Finally checking out this Asian market. It's bigger than I thought it would be. Checking out what fresh homemade items they offer up. Mostly some banchans and packages of Napa kimchi. No Kimbap, except for frozen bulgogi Kimbap, which doesn't sound fresh or appealing to me at all. I do like their Buldak tteokbokki, it's not bad if you are craving some spicy Tteokbokki that's quick and easy. No bottles of corn tea here at all. Frozen Kimbap just doesn't sound right to me.

Yelp
Convenient parking in front of the store. Employees are pretty rude. I was standing in front of a refrigerator and looking at an item when one ran into me without saying excuse me. It could be cleaner in here, and not a lot of effort in keeping things organized. The main reason of my irritation and major pet peeve, deceptive pricing. I really hate when things are marked one price and they ring up another one. I bought a few grocery items and some premade food, the premade food was packed in sets of 2 marked $4.75 for two. Instead she charged me $9.00 for two at $4.50 each. Her reasoning is I don't know know why this is wrong . The proper response would have been an apology, or even charge me for the price as marked. It's not about the cost, but the customer service. We drove an hour out this way. Won't be coming back.

Yelp
I'm a fan of Galleria/Korner Kitchen! It's one of the few places locally where you can buy premade onigiri (and also find the onigiri wrapping sets that you can use to make and bundle up your own at home!). The market feels slightly higher priced than Hua Xing for some items, but it's a great, clean and well-organized store with a good selection of items from different types of asian cuisine nonetheless. I also think I would like to come by Korner Kitchen more often for onigiri and sushi given the reasonable prices and fast service. It's very easy to place on order on their site and drop in and pick it up.

Yelp
We shopped here for years when under for years when it was under the previous ownership. Its a nice store. Clean and well kept with a Korean focus as the previous owners were Korean. The prices were a little higher than H mart in Troy, but it was allot closer to us so worth it for getting certain items. We would load up at H mart periodically as the prices and selection was better. We have another store locally now we shop at so haven't been the Galleria in over a year but came the other day and was really shocked to see very high prices. We wont be back which is a bit sad as we had a tradition of a shopping here. When we went to Ann Arbor. If you need something quick it might work. They have a restaurant now which is a nice addition, although we did not eat there.

Yelp
I really enjoy stopping at Galleria. I usually encounter friendly and helpful staff and it place always seems very clean. I wish they had a bigger selection of mock meats (or maybe I just can't find them), but I always walk out with plenty!
google avatar

John H.

Yelp
A decent sized Korean market. Other international markets along this street. A wide selection of meats for Korean BBQ or hotpot. Three refrigerated/ freezer sections. I was able to find dumplings and condiments. Kimchi was available but not much else by the way of prepared side dishes. Clerk was helpful. Few if any Chinese products or fresh vegetables. Otherwise, most ingredients for Korean meal prep. Half my bill was for a pack of short ribs, so it can get pricy. Pleasant shopping environment. Clean and friendly.

Jacob R.

Yelp
Excellent market with a great assortment of Asian products. Great prices and always very clean in there!

Yelp
Went to the newly opened Korner Kafe. Yuck! I had the miso soup. The noodles were mushy, the broth was greasy and tasted rancid. I took one bite and left the rest--$15 hard earned down the drain. There is no ambiance to speak of--bright overhead supermarket lights because it is a market first and foremost. I guess the store is under new management? the family that used to own it I liked--quirky and fun--not sure what's happening now, but I won't be back.

Yelp
YES I've finally found an asian market in A2 that sells shabu shabu/hot pot meat meat! Although it's frozen, it's better than not at all! I went to Tsai and they didn't have any. But anyways, Galleria seems to be a predominately Korean supermarket so I'm stoked to find this gem to stock up on black bean noodles, tekkboki, kimchi, etc. It seems like a pretty new store and the grandpa at the register watching his k-dramas is super presh.

Yelp
Clean and open aisles to shop for Korean, Japanese and South East Asian groceries. I'm waiting for Kozy Kitchen to start serving deliciousness.

Yelp
ZERO star if I can!!!!!!! Beware of expired products, overpriced items, and the most of all worst employees. I had to wait in the line just to wait for employee to stop chatting with customer when there are others waiting in line. As he was chatting continuously, he rang my items. As he was still chatting, he pointed credit card machine. Seriously?

Yelp
My wife and I are regulars at two Chinese markets in Ann Arbor, but there are a few items we always come to Galleria for: * shabu shabu beef -- expensive, but you get what you pay for) * kimchi -- best variety and quality we've found in the city * Korean brand 饺子 (dumplings) and 包子 (the English word doesn't translate correctly) -- very good quality I'd add that the owner is friendly and always chats with us about recipes when he's not busy. I am glad we found Galleria. It's part of our weekly shopping routine now.

Yelp
Great go to place for our family. Everything we need is here. It's not Super H Mart, but it's close to home and convenient. My wife takes us here as a family when we need to restock on ingredients, tofu, rice, etc. We love their vegan kimchi as well as Pulmone vegan products that include jjajjangmyun and dumplings and soft tofu stew, etc. We also come for special vegetables, fruit, produce that is common for Korean stores to carry. I wish they would have more vegan desserts or vegan korean ice cream. In the mean time they have an assortment of things to choose from whether it's snacks and rice cakes and other foods. This place has a lot of vegan options which we like this place. It's well organized, clean and the people working here are friendly and you can tell that they appreciate their customers, they even gave my children some treats.

Yelp
Since covid, the place closed down and been doing online orders and taking food to the front. I made a list of orders and half of it wasn't available, and the other half wasn't the full items. For example a case of the Lotte brand 2% peach flavor drinks is 24 cans. I got 6 of them. Shin ramen black they said don't have any gave me the regular and ask if it was ok (didn't pay yet). He's also rude. Some would say he's unique in his own way but to me he's rude. The son. Jason? Takes forever to reply. And actually forgets about my initial order had to contact again after.

Yelp
This Korean/Asian market has many unique items which I like such as thin sliced beef and pork, perfect for Hot Pot. I specially like their seafood such as frozen oysters, mussels, claims, fishes, octopus. Of course, if you are a fan of Kim-chi, you will find so many different type of Kin-Chi and pickles. It is quite an experience. Service: 4 out of 5 Décor: 3 out of 5 Cleanliness: 4 out of 5 Food: 4 out of 5

Yelp
First time here, nothing towards to employees, just management. Wasn't able to get in contact with them in making an order today. Phone doesn't really work and while it mention curbside pickup calls wasn't exactly going through to make an order. Went to the store in front and it was dark. Left after not seeing anyone inside, although store was dark, lights was on. Originally I put 1 star, but changed to 3 star after writing this, not really their fault, maybe they were just busy but I didn't have time to wait. Just not the best experience for me. Went to a different Asian market to picked up some stuff though.

Yelp
In my book, they're more like a 3.5, but I didn't wanna necessarily bring their overall ratings down. tl;dr Good selection. Nice owners. Close-enough to me. Repeat customer. They are what I personally consider small-sized grocery market. Why does this matter? Because the real estate determines how many variants of the same items you can carry at the store. Your local, less-than 2000 sq/ft mom-n-pop stores would be "tiny," and the likes of HMart are your "large." You get some "mega" ones in big cities like Chicago, Atlanta, L.A., etc. If you're an immigrant living in suburban areas of the States, you get to form a decently close relationship with your local Asian groceries. I remember growing up near Indianapolis when my family first immigrated, the only place we could get any Korean grocery was a tiny place 35 minutes from our house that my distant cousins owned. These used to be your only outlets, where you can get anything resembling ingredients that's required for your own cultural cuisine, and also get in touch with news of your motherland. Growing up, one of our weekly treats was to detour there after the Sunday service and rent stacks of (probably illegally) copied VHS tapes of all Korean TV shows and K-dramas for 50 cents each and watch them throughout the week. (These were pre-internet days, which means I'm fully dating myself...) Gone are the days of sneaking back to the "employees-only" area (a.k.a. the back room) where they had 20 VHS machines cranking out copies of random variety shows, tearing open a bag of chips and chill with the cousins.. Anyway, back to Galleria. They're not as tiny as the one I grew up knowing, or the nearest one I have in Toledo. But they're also not your large/mega HMart either. Ann Arbor has decent number of both local and studying-abroad Koreans, as well as non-Asian clients, and the size of the store serves its purpose. If I feel up to it, or have other business in the area from Toledo, I make it a point to swing by and grab whatever things I'm in need for the week. I'm always hit with a dilemma of driving 25 minutes to the local one, 75 minutes to Ann Arbor, or 100 minutes to Canton. Each time is a little different depending on what I'm looking for, but Galleria generally meets the middle ground for price-to-availability ratio. I've seen up to a couple dollars differences in any given item between the tiny store to the large stores. Again, they have an okay variety of items. More than some, less than some. But definitely plenty to get you through your day-to-day needs. Any "specialty items," however you define them, you're better off in bigger places, at least so I've found. They're usually well stocked up. I've never had an instance when I couldn't find something I was looking for, which happens quite often in the nearest one to me. Owners are very nice folks, although you'll definitely catch them in bad days. I've seen them in their best days and some bad days. In a lot of ways, they remind me of my parents. They'll sometimes get into arguments with certain clientele, especially argumentative ones. But I'm gonna go out on a limb and boldly say that most people don't like argumentative people? Anyway, some might consider that unprofessional, but some might say that's just life. I'm just glad I don't get into as many of these situations myself, even though I consider myself very argumentative... :-D

Yelp
We just moved to Ann Arbor. When I searched for a Filipino food, this came place came up.. closest asian grocery store to our apartment. It is very clean and organized. It has a lot of korean groceries. I was looking for a particular egg roll / lumpia wrapper and Im glad I found them here!!! Not onlu that, found pancit, bihon, mung beans, and yakult!!! Soo that made me a happy camper!
google avatar

Yelp
I have officially checked out every single Asian grocery store in the area. Boy was it an adventure. I also like grocery shopping; it has become somewhat of a hobby, so I also gauge prices. This is more of a Korean supermarket with other Asian groceries/snacks/noodles to supplement their inventory. Prices for snacks are on par with all other Asian supermarkets (including those in California). Their ginger was a bit expensive at $1.99/lb, and I would also watch the fruit you buy, as I saw some flies flying around. Their hot pot meat was OK priced, not terribly expensive. I would definitely give this place a try. $10 credit card min

Yelp
The only Asian Market I will shop at! All the Asian sauces, ingredients and products you will need to make that ethnic dish you've been wanting to try. The store is incredible clean and free of clutter. The gentleman that rings me up will always put a smile on my face - and that level of customer care is why I keep coming back.
google avatar

Yelp
I dont understand why they say they won't open due to the sickness? I'm sorry but a lot of your customers are not going to email you an order and then pay for it with an outside source. I'm sad to see this as I have been coming here for years. I drive from over an hour away. I know my mom, who is Korean, will never order this way. I'm glad you take care of the restaurant orders. Hope they support you when you do decide its "safe enough" to open up. Until then there are other Korean grocers in AA.

Yelp
My bf and I are in Ann Arbor for 4 weeks to attend a summer program at the University of Michigan. We are staying at a place with a small kitchenette and we came here looking for food and misc. Asian supplies. Galleria did not disappoint! First off, this is one of the cleanest, un-smelliest Asian grocery stores that I have been to. Their products leaned Korean and some Japanese, which is exactly what we wanted, so for us the selection was perfect. We got some bulgogi at a good price and cooked that in a skillet for dinner. It was very tasty. The prices are good. The cute old man at the register barely speaks English so don't ask him if they sell bagged ice...they don't. We will definitely be back here for more groceries in the coming weeks. Aside from the groceries, they have some cute non-food items, including cute dishes (got two bowls from Japan with cats on them), stickers (found and bought squirrel stickers), and a Totoro lamp, which the bf got me and I couldn't have been more excited about it.

Yelp
It's been a while since they were up and running... I stopped by on my way home since I needed some items. I'm changing my rating to 4 stars from my original rating and here is why... What I like... First and foremost, it's new and clean. I also like the fact that they actually have regular check out lanes... something lacking at Manna and Hyundai market. Second, selections - they do carry a lot of items - everything you'll need. Third , Banchans - they do have some home made items and the price is in line with Manna and Hyundai grocery store. Fourth - Service - they are very focused on service... While the price is in line along others, I can say with Galleria opening up, Manna and Hyundai have matched or lowered their prices... for example, if you wanted a two roll kimbap (Korean Sushi) at Manna, it used to cost $8, now it's $6, in line with Galleria... granted I think you get more for your money at Galleria. One thing that I do not like about Galleria is the entrance to the parking... I wish they planned better and had a second entrance/exit... it's too small and is the bottleneck... Otherwise, I'm sold on Galleria... the only down side is that it's not on my side of town and I'm not usually on this side of town to visit Galleria... but I know my parents love it and the added price competition helps everyone! Check it out! Selection -

Yelp
JUST. DON'T. SHOP. THERE. FULL. STOP. I agree with the reviewer who says, "ZERO star if I can!!!!!!! Beware of expired products, overpriced items, and the most of all worst employees." The employee is definitely the worst aspect. He will yell at you for no reason. He even imposed limits on number of items one can buy, without letting you know upfront (i.e. where the item is found, rather than surprising you at the last minute when you're trying to check out). There is a far better, more reliable, and much more polite Korean store at the corner of Ellsworth and Platt. Go there instead
google avatar

Yelp
Covid order system was horrible. The curve side pick up took over an hour. They didn't tell me the non stocked items. I found out when I got to home.
google avatar

Yelp
I love going to this market. They are so helpful in finding the best brands and sharing information on how to prepare various meals. It is always clean and well organized and has a good selection.

Yelp
Wonderful Asian grocery store. The owner said they are a Japanese and Korean store. They sell a wide variety of products. It is a curious person's heaven. I love just shopping there and wandering around looking at all the foods that I haven't tried before. Of course they have the well-known Raman noodles and a wide variety of mochi choices. The employees are so polite and helpful. They took a lot of time to talk with me about the different types of tea they offer. I wish that the products were more clearly labeled...aka some just say "vegetables" instead of the actual vegetables in the products. Nice large private parking lot; always a plus in Ann Arbor.
google avatar

Destiny B.

Yelp
Really good selection clean easy to navigate. Polite workers that are helpful. I allways stop when driving by.
google avatar

Kiana G.

Yelp
As a vegan and lover of Japanese and Korean food, I love living near this place. Some of the things I regularly buy include sesame oil, tamari, rice vinegar, vegan kimchi, instant yakisoba, yellow curry paste, gochujang, baby bok choy, and king oyster mushrooms. Definitely check it out! Great snack and beverage options too.
google avatar

Christina C.

Yelp
Wasn't going to bother leaving a review, but my experience was so pleasant that I decided it needed to be recognized. I'm not sure if the cashier was the owner, but he was very pleasant and made short conversation with me while ringing me up. He was very nice and polite and he definitely made me want to come back again for my Asian grocery needs. The store itself was very clean and I was surprised at how big it was (I was expecting a small store). Although I came and go (went to only buy a pack of ramen), I believe my 5 quick minutes was enough time to recognize this as a 5 star mart.
google avatar

Grace K.

Yelp
This is one of the most clean and organized Asian grocery stores I've visited in the Southeast Michigan area. The foods are neatly arranged by aisle and on the shelves in a way that makes it really easy to find what you're looking for. They do not sell live seafood, but sell a variety of frozen seafoods and meats. I don't think I've seen many other stores in Ann Arbor carry items like abalone and octopus so I'm definitely excited to pick those up the next time the right occasion rolls around. The frozen aisles contain literally every food ingredient you will ever need for hot pot, such as thinly sliced beef, meat balls, squid rings, etc. This store also has a great bulk deal for yogurt drinks. Their snack and beverage aisles are so dangerous. I am a total sucker for Pocky and Milkis. They also have a huge selection of seaweed laver - so addicting and a healthier alternative to snacking on potato chips! Totally recommend these if you're interested in trying out Asian snacks!
google avatar

Lydia C.

Yelp
This place has it all! I was surprised by how wide of a selection there is. Plus, Jason was such a foodie! He was very knowledgable of the products and Asian cuisine. I learned about the different grades of imitation crab, how frozen fish is vacuum packed and stored, and the sourcing of the ingredients. Plus, I got a great book recommendation! 10/10
google avatar

Chantel T.

Yelp
Extremely rude service. Nobody spoke to me when I walked in this store and they have the nerve to have a $10 limit to use a card. Very disappointed and I will not be back ever

Tony Z.

Yelp
Wonderful shop. They have almost anything you could imagine! And every time I go there, the guy who runs the checkout takes the time to answer my (beginner) questions about cooking and point me toward the ingredients I'm looking for. Since I started shopping here, I've gotten help to make incredible ramen and other dishes that are high on my favorites list.
google avatar

Ying C.

Yelp
It's a cute little Korean market located in Ypsi. You can tell its own by a Mom and Pop as Pop is the only one checking out a small line of customers. Definitely adorbs and has some Asian goodies like Korean noodles, kimchi, Mochi balls etc. unfortunately the selection is on the smaller side, and the price is not much cheaper than chained grocery stores. I would definitely be back if I want some Korean seasoning or frozen food, but with such limited variety of fruits and vegetables I probably won't be doing my weekly shopping here.
google avatar

Shirl C.

Yelp
Walking into this store makes me feel like I'm back in Koreatown...until I walk out those sliding glass doors. This market is family owned and the couple are also so friendly and sweet. They have great options for dumplings, rice, seawee, kimchee, etc. They also make their own banchan (side dishes) and kimbap (Korean version of a california roll) and other tasties. Sometimes, they will even give you free snacks and also have a rewards card. I haven't used the card to get anything yet, but I'm sure I will one day. This is definitely the biggest korean market in Washtenaw County and possibly in Michigan. There was one place in Troy, but I think they've closed down. The prices for most of their groceries are comparable to other Korean markets but when it comes to quality of the produce, I would say GAM is the best. I just wish they had a bigger produce selection.
google avatar

Chelsea M.

Yelp
I stop by Galleria every other week or so to pick up tofu and aloe juice. They have a great selection of other Asian foods and products but I haven't found myself in the market for any of them yet. What I like most about Galleria is the smell, or lack there of a smell. This allows it to stand apart from other nearby markets because it doesn't smell like rotting fish. Galleria is my Asian Market of choice in A2.
google avatar

Christina L.

Yelp
I love the cleanliness of the store and friendliness of the people working there. They are more than happy to help you, even if you only speak english, whereas even I have trouble communicating with the workers at Way 1 or Hua Xing with my chinglish. You know how at your typical asian grocery store you'll see crusty containers of tofu and meat fridges with suspicious stains on the shelves? You won't find that here.
google avatar

Anne Y.

Yelp
This market wasn't around when I was in pharmacy school. If it was here, I would have definitely cooked more korean food. It's the best korean market in Ann Arbor. I used to actually go to the chinese markets on washtenaw to get korean stuff while i was in grad school. I wouldn't say it's cali style big with the mini stores in there, but it's the largest. It has everything I need. Since i'm married now I cook alot of korean food and this is the first place I go for all of the ingredients. The other korean markets, I always had to HOPE that it was there and half the stuff I had to go to the american grocery stores to get it. THis place allows for one stop which is a MAJOR PLUS! The store owners are really nice too :) loved the service. It's clean, has everything. The owner is a mom and pop and they are always greeting everyone and even walk around to say hi. THe price.. i don't really look at too much since i don't have other places to compare. I pay for convenience -- the fact i know everything will be there. Some people have taken off a star because of lack of asian sauces.... I can say it has every korean sauce needed and it being a korean market... i think fits the glove.

Yelp
This store has the best high quality selection of ingredients for my Thai, Indian, and Chinese dishes. Everything is organized and clean, and the customer service is above average for sure, especially if you only speak English. The young tall handsome guy who always seems to be there has helped me countless times, and he points out great brand options, alternative ingredients, and add ons (i.e. suggesting I add kaffir lime leaves to my curries, introducing me to frozen coconut milk without additives, or recommending red Thai chillis in place of another type I cannot find). One evening, I called the store to find that they had just closed. They stayed open a few minutes longer so I could get a few ingredients for my dinner. So grateful they saved my dinner! Definitely go here over other Asian grocery stores!!
google avatar

Grace K.

Yelp
This is a clean grocery store with mostly Korean groceries, but also some Japanese and Chinese products too. I was glad to see the prices were Very decent. It's a little out of the way, but it's worth visiting every now and then for Asian food!

Yelp
Best asian market in Ann Arbor, with a wide range of treats to satisfy all my candy needs. Honestly overwhelmed by the mochi options. Black sesame?? Plum wine?! Yes, please. (My boyfriend said that the "normal" grocery selection was really good too but I was too busy eying the candy to pay attention to that part of the store.) Unlike other asian markets which seem to be notorious for ill-kempt aisles and fish that looks...well fishy, Galleria is pretty immaculate. Neat, well-organized aisles stocked with a great selection of prepared foods, banchan, and of course, ramen. There are also a bunch of cute gifts you can buy (ornate bowls, sake sets) and self-pampering items (rose-scented face masks promising me eternal youth) that help distract me from proper grocery shopping. We also picked up some japchae to go. Delicious and fresh. The cashier threw in a couple of free snacks as well. Great place with great service!

Yelp
I lived in South Korea for several years and learned how to make many of my favorite dishes. This place has all the items I need to make the food I love! Plus I get to practice my Korean with the staff! It's always surprising to them when I start speaking Korean with them. It's a lot of fun for me! They are friendly and knowledgeable. I love going here!

Yelp
I found a recipe online for kimchi and wanted to get some authentic ingredients to make it. I'm glad I chose this store. It's not too big. I was able to find everything I needed. The staff was nice and asked if I needed any assistance finding anything. I was also happy to find soju and plum wine. The soju is the least expensive I've found to date and the best quality. I plan to shop here again.

Yelp
Wow! I don't think I've ever reviewed a grocery store but my experience here was so pleasant I had to say something. The tall man working the cashier is probably the sweetest person I've ever encountered at a grocery store! I didn't think I'd be purchasing a lot so I did not grab a cart, but ended up grabbing more items than I anticipated and turned around to find he had already brought a cart over for me to place the items in!! Additionally, when my friend and I were loading up the car with groceries, he literally came out of the store and into the freezing cold to give us free sweet treats xD my friend is Korean and told me it reminded her of her time in Korea where grocery store owners would occasionally pass out treats to the younger ones. We were both so touched :) if he's able to read this message, I just wanted to say thank you for treating customers with such kindness - we definitely can't wait to come back soon!

Yelp
We have visited 16 stores in the Ann Arbor area that stock international/asian products and Galleria was THE BEST -- very clean, no smells, adequate and pleasant lighting, well-stocked, extensive freezer section, refrigerated items looked fresh, produce had a crisp "just picked" look, package expiration dates were excellent, competitive prices, friendly and welcoming staff. Although the emphasis is mostly on Korean products, we were very happy with the amount of Japanese selections offered (especially the snacks and candies :) ). No other store in the area offered the square skillet needed to make shaped egg omelet for sushi rolls :). They can special order some out of stock items; special requests/orders are welcomed for items not currently in the store.

Yelp
The store is neat and clean. They have a good selection of Korean products and the staff is nice and friendly. You can also purchase some ready to eat Korean dishes such as ddukbokki - spicy Korean rice cake dish. It a bit sweet but I can't stop getting it when I visit the store. I usually buy extra fish cake and some green onions to mix it with. I even found the frozen sundae - korean pork blood sausage.

Yelp
I went in here today for the first time and I really like the place. It's very clean and has a good selection of Asian foods with a particular focus on Korean options. That said, there are a lot of other options besides Korean. I was looking for Thai red curry paste and I didn't find it (hopefully not an oversight on my part). There are plenty of places to find that, I'm sure. Anyway, this place has a lot to offer that I don't always find at Asian markets. I plan on going back.
