Amazing ambiance, delicious food, and friendly hostesses.
I am not a native German speaker (nor proficient with the Vorarlberg dialect), but the ordering process was easy enough. We chose our own table and filled out a sheet with the pizzas that we wanted and gave it to the hostess. We took bottled drinks from a large ice bucket and noted them town on a slip that was provided at the table. They brought the pizza to our table which was baked in their large Neopolitan oven. I got the "1648" which had Bergkäse and Speck (see photo) and was outstanding with super-thin chewy crust. After we finished, we brought the slip down to the cashier with everything we ordered (including some pottery that was on display) and paid for it there.
We are not wine drinkers, but they had a massive collection which I'm sure was great.
There are three floors accessed by a spiral staircase, and the single bathroom was on the top floor. It was not obvious how to lock the door - there is a bolt on a shelf near the door which you insert into the latch.
