Came here for the first time & everything was amazing! Service was great. All the waiters were super sweet and attentive. The food was amazing! I like how the serving sizes for the meats were not too big as well! I love the playlist of music that was playing, the only complaint was that the music was a little loud. But overall I give it 10/10 !

Went around 8pm on a Saturday night($28 per adult). It wasn’t too busy and they seemed fully staffed. We got seated in the middle, but it felt like our table didn’t get as much attention as others. For a party of two, the portions were way too much - each plate had enough meat for at least four people. I’d recommend going with three or more if you want to try different meats without wasting food. Usually, we can handle 6–8 meats at other KBBQ spots, but here we could barely finish four plates. The portions just weren’t portioned for a casual date night for two. Toward the end, they rushed to drop off the check and grabbed the tip pretty quick. After that, service basically disappeared, no water refills and no complimentary ice cream like other reviews mentioned (maybe you have to ask?). Overall, I’d give it three stars. The food was solid for the price and the staff were friendly when they did check in, but the overall experience felt uneven. Would I go back? Probably not, it was okay, just not memorable enough to revisit.

Meat selection and food is awesome. Staffed properly and easy to call for service help. The booths are just small for big groups or for bigger adults. The tables were ample size.

Everything was okay until we had a server change. We waited 10-15 minutes to get our grill turn on because it died and order more food. We are spending $250+ so it's kind of disappointing that our expectations wasn't met. MUSIC IS HELLA LOUD and hard to hear. Food is good tho.

Gangnam Korean BBQ is such a fun spot for a delicious and affordable all-you-can-eat meal! The vibe is lively, perfect for a family dinner or a casual night out with friends. The variety of meats really impressed me — galbi, prime flower, American wagyu beef belly, prime finger short rib, and enoki rolls — everything was fresh, tender, and packed with flavor. The service was excellent too; the staff were attentive, friendly, and made sure our grill was always ready for the next round. Great food, great value, and great service — I’ll definitely be coming back!

Good selection of food with fair pricing. The service is quick and attentive. It's very loud inside and there is loud music playing as well which makes conversations difficult while cooking your meat selections. Seating options include booths, half booths, and tables with chairs, so its very accomodating. Overall it's one of the better Korean BBQ places I've visited. Would definitely return and highly recommend.

This Korean BBQ place was recommended by a friend, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The staff was friendly, but they seemed disinterested in our needs, especially when we asked for more sides. I ordered three meats: bulgogi, beef brisket, and Hawaiian pork. The bulgogi was average at best, with no flavor. The beef brisket was equally bland, and they didn’t even provide salt on the side to enhance the taste. The Hawaiian pork was the worst. It was flavorless and had a lot of fat, which was disgusting. Overall, I spent about $80 on food that I didn’t enjoy. I’ve been to many Korean BBQ spots, and I’ve never had a bad experience with the meat. This place was a disappointment.

Giving it 5 stars because I got more than expected. It's almost packed every weekend. Don't like waiting so I finally made time and went earlier during a Friday, it seems rush hourS we're barely starting as there were a lot of open and clean tables and we had to wait for almost 20mins. Once seated our servers were amazing. Menu was extense and prices are great. There's even free ice cream for dessert. It is smaller than other bbq places but it was a great experience, would definitely recommend it and most likely will go back, but beware of weekend nights, it gets really packed. Second visit, still good. Menu A and B do change only on price depending if lunch or dinner, but items remain the same

Second Visit - 5/5 Kid prices are 15.00 4- 8 years old Service was very outstanding, as staff constantly checked in on us. Had our grill changed 5 times, which tells you they're definitely paying attention to their patrons. Never felt rushed - Ordered 5 rounds Meat orders were filled adequately and promptly. The short rib finger meat is still go to move! Garlic pork belly was very tasty! Galbi servings are 2 piece per order. Tofu soup - Is pretty salty Brisket and beef belly tasted better during this visit.

WHO THE HECK CELEBRATES COLUMBUS DAY AS A HOLIDAY AND DECIDES TO UP-CHARGE FOR TODAY?!?! Let's celebrate a day about a person who came and conquered the USA and gave zero cares for the indigenous people who are originally from here. Ohmygosh I'm am not happy about this. And then they have the audacity to say they pick and choose which holidays to charge for regardless if it's not a federal holiday. And try to reiterate that regardless on it, it's their choice to charge holiday prices. If it was a real federal holiday I would understand but that's insane that this is what they consider a holiday and not notifying their customers that they are charging weekend/holiday prices to celebrate mass murders, genocide, and slavery of the indigenous people; but I digress. What would've been lunch prices of $27.99pp, we paid $30.99pp instead even though we did not know or else we would've ordered the specialty meats from their dinner options only. They also had no beef belly options available, which took out a good chuck of what we wanted to order here. The quality of the steak cuts could've been better as they seemed old and dried out like the prime flower steak and the top sirloin steak. After our first order, no one came to check on us for over 30 minutes and we had to flag staff down to order more meat. We also ordered soup that we never received. It's sad that this was such an unhappy experience because this used to be one of my favorite kbbq places to go to. I used to live in Long Beach and come all the time. And because I was free for lunch time, I drove from Torrance just to come and they didn't even serve lunch prices. Whoever the staff was that wanted to come and argue with me even though I was just complaining to my boyfriend needs to learn to mind his own business. I had already paid the bill and was complaining and the staff member had the audacity to come around 3x to get reiterate that it's a holiday regardless of our feelings and those are the prices. LIKE SIR, I ALREADY PAID!!! LEAVE ME ALONE. And he is like well some people have today off and it doesn't matter. Like okay? Did I ask your opinion? I didn't ask for a discount. I didn't refuse to pay the bill. I had already paid and was finishing my dessert when he kept inserting himself. This was the biggest turn off for us and we regrettably won't be returning or supporting this business anymore.

Been coming here for years !!! and today was turned away in an almost empty restaurant for being a party of "1" even though it was my daughter and i and we have come just us 2 plenty of times. she will be 4 next month and i have been paying for her 1/2 price every time but now they are saying she isn't supposed to be charged and doesn't count as a being a party of two because of her age. so have you been over charging me every time we come or are you changing the rules now?! very disappointed because this is literally our fav place her fav place ! DISGUSTED at how ugly the guy was today and before i walked his comment was "idc im clocking out anyway" so why make a big deal about take my money and let us sit in peace! i wasn't trying to get a free meal only come to enjoy dinner with my daughter where she wanted to go. never coming here again after this.

Mannn this is the spot! My first time here and I loved it. The meats were all of quality ! The service was amazing every server in there constantly made sure you were good and it was a packed house . I didn't feel neglected one bit . Inside it's very clean nice blue lighting and they play straight hip hop bangers giving it a hip vibe . They offered different things on the menu that had me surprised like a cheese corn with hot Cheetos they Also seem to take the time to know their audience they had it set up perfect for us Latinos lol offering tortillas and onion and cilantro with jalepeno and salsa. Never have I ever been to a Korean bbq offering this but I'm Glad they did . All around love this place

They decided to tip themselves more than what I wrote When I called they said the manager isn't in I will call and talk to a manager tomorrow I don't want this to happen to any customers

First and foremost I loved this place! Super spacious, very clean and the music is definitely a vibe! This is a place that gives fun date night vibes. And the meat cuts are of great quality and value! The servers were supper friendly and attentive, they came by every 5 minutes to ensure we didn't need any more meats or sides. Didn't get very many pictures because I was too busy eating, but if you're in the mood for KBBQ and in the area definitely give them a try! 10/10 i definitely recommend!! (Btw you get free ice cream at the end of your meal shhhh.)

Service was absolutely amazing. The staff is very attentive and constantly checking on you. This has to be my best Kbbq experience yet. The wait time wasn't too long, but worth it regardless. The place is cool and the music they play is great. The food is sooo good. I recommend the galbi short ribs, beef bulgogi and the finger ribs were good too! My favorite part was the complimentary ice cream!!! Don't forget to ask for raddish paper, trust me- it's a game changer.

I had one of the worst dining experiences here. I came in excited to enjoy some Korean BBQ, but was denied a table simply because I was alone. The host told me they don't seat parties of one which honestly made me feel embarrassed and unwelcome. It shouldn't matter how many people are dining everyone deserves to be treated with respect. Not everyone has family or friends to eat out with, and sometimes people just want to enjoy a meal on their own. To be turned away for that reason felt discriminatory and incredibly disappointing. Korean BBQ is supposed to be about sharing good food and culture, not excluding people who come alone. I won't be returning, and I hope management rethinks this policy so no one else has to feel the way I did.

First time eating here. It was lively for a weeknight. A bit pricey for my liking, but it was good and we left stuffed. I think waiters could have done a better job explaining what was included with my price, especially since we informed them it was our first time there.

skip the tofu soup, and japchae. yes these are side orders but they were...not good. the japchae was salty and the soup was so bland. neither tasted fresh. the meat quality here is good enough. their banchan was also...not fresh tasting... the service was...bare minimum. i did feel forgotten as it took the end of my meal to get more napkins and water. this place did satisfy my kbbq needs, and the price was good i guess. i'm not sure if id come again...maybe...overall it was mid. not that bad, but i wouldn't have an answer if someone asked me to go here.

I had such a great time at Gangnam Korean BBQ in Lakewood! The atmosphere is upbeat and fun, and the service was truly top-notch -- the staff were quick, helpful, and super friendly the entire time. The meats were high quality and offered so much variety, from galbi and prime flower to wagyu beef belly, prime finger short rib, and enoki rolls. Everything was well-seasoned and cooked perfectly on the grill. For how affordable it is, the experience feels premium. Definitely one of my favorite AYCE KBBQ spots -- can't wait to go back!

The servers here are great! Very attentive considering that kbbq is busy. This place has a lot of variety meats for a good price. The parking lot is pretty decent and typically has space to park. They also give you ice cream at the end of your meal. They are very clean and switch the grill pretty often. This location is good for dinner parties and has a great vibe.

I've been to Gangnam a few times a few years back, but stopped coming here. It used to be too smoky and the food quality and selection was just OK. Since there were many other options, I stopped coming here. Fast forward to last week, I saw them pop up in one of my social media feeds, and they featured the Mexican plate. Since the pictures did look pretty good, I decided to come back with the family. So I'm glad to see they've made a few changes. The ventilation has improved a lot, the meat selection, quality of meat, and the addition of the Mexican plate with the things that caught my eye. Along with the good service that we received, and the very competitive pricing, I've added Gangnam back to my list of places to eat. Although if there was an option to give 4.5 stars, this is what I'd rate Gangnam at. But since there isn't, I rounded up. Things that I would love to see that would make it five stars in my opinion would be radish paper, better quality of ice cream, and if the server didn't put my bill on the table until I asked for it. Otherwise, it was a good meal for the price.

Ayce menu B option is a great option and very affordable. The portion size was huge and frequent grill changes without having to ask. Packed at weekend lunch time but little to no wait. LA Galbi is flavorful, rib finger meat was cut into cubes, beef belly, flower steak, sirloin steak, and brisket. Steamed egg was tasty and all the banchan was better than other restaurants. Brisket and sirloin was lean, so if u want a better fat ratio go with beef belly and flower steak was better than sirloin. Ice cream at the end was plentiful and tasted like McDonald's. Excellent service

Went for dinner and had good food and good service. Will definitely be back! Liked that we didn't have to wait long and the service was very attentive

AYCE options have two price options. Four adults plus a toddler - technically adds up to five but I don't think an 18% surcharge is justified. Background music was very loud to the point of zero conversation. Even the waiter had to lean in to hear our orders. Very busy Sunday night and we ended up sharing half of our table - two separate grills. Service was attentive. Meat portions were decent. Cheesy corn and tofu soup available, no steamed egg. Included with AYCE were: Green mixed salad and banchan : macaroni salad, mashed potatoes salad, bean sprouts, radish sliced thinly and rice paper, steamed rice. We requested kimchi. Pork jowl, beef belly and brisket, beef finger rib, marinated kalbi (2pieces per serving), we tried the sweet spicy pig skin - that was new for us. Kimchi pancake was also good, kimchi cheese fried rice also not commonly found in other KBBQ spots. The bill was the most surprising part of dinner. With 18% surcharge cost $143 plus change.

Favorite KBBQ spot. Servers are great, food is great and the music/playlist is fun. Even when it gets busy the servers stay on top of everything. My family and I love coming here.

The "ambiance" to start is pretty terrible. The entirety of my family's experience they ONLY played an UNCENSORED Chris brown soundtrack or whatever. Pretty annoying cause this music was loud and NOT appropriate for 4-5pm when I have my children here.. one of the waiters dropped hot oil on my thigh and did nothing about it. Not even an apology to offer. I let another waitress know, but she offered me ice (you can't add ice to to a burn, it will burn it more, servers should know this through food safety if they work in a kitchen for their own protection , too) I don't eat pork and they brought pork with the order and didn't disclose which was which meat. Nor did they go over the process after asking and letting them know it was my first time (now my last here and for Korean BBQ) They charged for drinks on our bill that wasn't even ordered. Added a 18% charge even though it states 5 or more people. SB 478 states against this... We had 4 and a baby...?

Food is amazing I love me a good Korean bbq it's like my go to Parking was not hard to find but I can see that it can get crowded so please keep that in mind on the weekends Food came out fast and meats were very fresh waiter kept coming and changing our grill I loved that. Group of 5. Ignored a lot of the time. Whenever we tried to flag someone down they would turn the other way or just never come to our end of the restaurant. Only one server actually tried to help us & everyone else there. Food was okay although they gave us an extra plate we never asked for.

Came here on a Saturday around 4:30pm there was like a 30 minute wait. Waitlist on sign in sheet in front and they call your name. Parking lot is small. Got seated next and waiter was quick. Music playing and some TVs around. Serving portions of meat was big. Ordered the rib-eye it was cut up and chewy once's cooked. Bulgogi was on the thicker side, and brisket was good. Side dishes were on the sweeter side. Best ones were the cucumbers, radish paper, salad, potato salad. The spicy tofu miso soup was flavorful but not spicy. Overall, good kbbq place just wished some side dishes were actually spicy and the bulgogi wasn't so thick.

The Korean lady was actually friendly, she greeted us and smiled while escorting us to our table. When we got to out table, our condiments were already set up for us. Within minutes of sitting down a waiter asked us what we wanted to drink and stated if we were ready to order. So we made an order for brisket and prime bugogi with beverages. All served within minutes! The portion was large. Also the only KBBQ place that has mexican tortillas! LOL , upon request Ate to our satisfaction! Even received free vanilla icecream for dessert. We came at a good time, it was before 5pm which was not crowded at the time of arrival. This place does gets packed and parking maybe difficult to find on certain hours. I definitely recommend this place! Workers were nice and very attentive to our needs. Professional staff. The food is fresh and delicous. Dinner was affordable compared to other KKBQ restaurant establishments. If you want to try something aside from GEN BBQ.. this place is as good or even better. Friendly, Professional, affordable and not tight with their servings. Two THUMBS

I give this place 3 stars because we came in two hours before closing and the server we had got came to us one time and put in our order incomplete. On top of that nobody came to our table in over 25 minutes until we called another server over, not sure if our server left home and if that was the case she should've handed our table over to another server but she just left our table unattended and never returned & almost 30 minutes later a new server comes and says "last round" when we had just got there and nobody attended us in over 25 minutes. We felt completely rushed since the servers are doing last call by 8:30 to have there job done by 9 when restaurant closes at 10pm so my advice is do not go in two hours before closing because they will rush you and not care! The food was good quality but my first experience here was not pleasant because of the service sadly

I have been coming here for years! This place has always been the spot for good Korean BBQ. There's days when you have to wait 30 min - 2 hrs for seating. Well worth it. Today was a breeze, less than 5 minutes wait. Moderate foot traffic is just the way I like. This way, you get pretty much the center of attention, lol. I was greeted by MICHELLE. Was so welcoming. She did not hesitate and was eager to sit you down so you could have the best experience possible. She explained about the digital menu by scanning the QR Code and breaking down the choices available since there's few options to choose from. She made sure you're comfortable and gave you enough time to get ready before taking orders. Talking about hospitality, A+! Let's dive right into the good stuff, but if my ways of describing things don't please you. Take a look at some of the pictures I've attached to this review. My orders are, Drink: 1. Jinro Chamisul Peach Soju The light, soft flavor profile of peach adds just the right amount of fruit savor to negate any leftover sharpness from the soju. AYCE - MEATS: 1. PRIME BEEF BRISKET x6 2. The atmosphere and vibe from the music and the staff gives you that extra-special experience desired. I definitely recommend this location due to their outstanding customer service experience. Very clean and sanitized. Their parking lot is spacious and easy access. They have a restroom for your convenience. We got there right at opening at 11 am on a Saturday. There was only one other table besides us in the restaurant. The service was pretty good when we got there, but we noticed a decline when the restaurant started to get busy. It seemed like whenever we tried to order more meat or sides, they would try to walk away after we listed 3 things. The brisket is really good and not too fatty. We mostly just got the brisket, beef belly, and galbi. We got the beef enoki rolls, but the meat was too fatty and we weren't able to cook it through all the way. We ended up unrolling them and cooking the meat more. I liked how the corn cheese came on its own skillet, so we didn't have to take up space on the grill. It had too much cheese in my opinion. The rice paper was really good quality and tasted fresh.

One of my go to place for Korean BBQ. Food and service is great. Ambience is just okay because music is loud and the waiters can't even hear what you're saying but overall it's good.

Dining here was off to a rocky start. When my party was shown our table we noticed underneath the table was super sticky. Some red sauce got all over our hands and pants so that was a tough way to start this experience. Our server was not very friendly at all. In fact he would just stare at us while engaging with us. On the menu is a bunch of stuff you'd typically find at a KBBQ place but be wary that many items that would normally be included in the ayce price was actually a la carte at this place . Something about the kimchi was off here and no one in my party was able to finish the banchan. After trying a variety of meats the only one that was a hit with my party was the thinly sliced pork belly. This place also seems to have mexican fusion vibe you have the option of picking tortillas and are given salsa as a starter sauce. For some reason it was very difficult to eat here. The tables were incredibly small. For 4 people ordering there was no place to put any of the uncooked items they would bring out. My party was not from the area and if we ever do return we likely would not come back here. We expected more based off the reviews and the area but were let down.

By far the most valuable KBBQ around town these days. For $25/pp for dinner, you can't beat the quality even with just the A Menu (no corn cheese, steamed egg, intestine for example). We asked our server for extra mac and potato since we love it and she DELIVERED! We felt very cared for and heard. The Soju Pitcher is like a big mix cocktail but very worth it! The bulgogi and brisket are our favorite. Parking was very difficult on a Saturday night, and the wait is about 35min+. It's quite loud inside, very night vibe, but was still able to have a good time. Wouldn't come here for a quiet family dinner or date. Will be back!!

Shit was smackin, so good flavors melting on my tongue - music bumpin got me shaking - waiters hot af especially the at the cashier with glasses and nice skin not only was he behind the Cash register he was walkin around helping too !!! Pretty solid AYCE kbbq spot in the Lakewood area, located on a corner plaza with plenty of parking. Came on a weekend for dinner so the price was $24.99 a person. The marinade on the meats was delicious, as well as their mac salad and potato salad. I love how they serve vanilla ice cream at the end of your meal. They also do not charge automatic 18% gratuity like other kbbq's, so I see myself becoming a regular.

I come here a couple of times a month and this place has better sides then some others i love the portions they give you. Its just enough so that you know where you stand when your done with most of the food. Some stuff might be expensive but over all the line wasn't that long and its very nice and cool inside.

Be prepared to wait a while for your table. The service when we did get seated was great and attentive! The meat options were pretty limited and did not taste authentic. I was happy to see kimchi pancakes on the menu but that's about it. The music was very loud. For this price I can think of a few higher quality spots in Buena Park.

Service here is bad. The server who was going to sit us refused to seat us until the rest of our group arrived. There was nobody waiting...for the entire time in which we waited. We asked if we could start early for the ones of us that were there only because we had 2 people that would have to leave early for sports. He still refused and walked away. So, we ended up paying for teens who were only able to eat 10 mins. Poor service. It is a shame because it used to be one of the best kbbq spots in the area.

Definitely one of better ayce kbbq places in the area, the meat was really fresh. Other than there being a little bit of a wait it was well worth it.

Horrible service! They only came up to us twice! They never came to refill our cups or our side dishes that we finished! Couldn't even give us napkins! Waiter seemed like he didn't want to be there he was a short male with a bowl cut.

Say no to service charges starting on July 1, 2024. I hope this restaurant takes this service charge away soon and return to normal tipping based on good service.

Wonderful ambiance, attentive servers and wide variety of choices in meats. Prices are not the lowest in the area but I feel the service and sides are really worth the extra for a slightly elevated experience. The pickled radish and cucumbers prepared at this establishment are my favorite!

I have been coming to this place since I was a child and still continue to come even after moving. The food here is addicting! Everything is so well seasoned and the sauces they give on the side are amazing. Their salad dressing is so good and they have so many choices of sides and meat cuts. Workers are always friendly and it's usually very busy during dinner time. Perfect for large groups and pretty spacious! My favorite AYCE Korean BBQ place!

Came for lunch not too busy was seated right away. Price is decent for the meat selections. Server were attentive and coming to check on us quite often. Got the cheestos cheese corn NEEDS more melted cheese in my opinion. Meat quality is just about right nothing to crazy. If ever in the area and feel kbbq would come back for sure

First time trying Gangnam and really enjoyed my experience. We got the B menu which is only $3 than the A menu for a bunch of extra meat options. Ordered an array of beef, pork, chicken all of which were amazing and had so much flavor. The portions were generous. I loved all of the side dishes, especially the kimchi and macaroni salad. We also got a pitcher which was a great price and ended up being about four and a half glasses for only $17. The servers were kind and attentive, making sure to get our orders before the last plates emptied and filled up our sauces when they were low. They also changed our grill out frequently which was appreciated. We also loved the music choice and atmosphere. Went on a Tuesday night and still had a great show up. Would highly recommend for a good Korean BBQ joint!!

My family and I pass by this place so many times, but we always end up at AYCE KBBQ spots that we're familiar with. Our first time here, we actually came with a group of friends and I wasn't really able to enjoy it, enjoy it. I just remember great service and the meats kept coming!! Came here again with my little family after a coin toss between this spot or BBQ nights lol Obviously, this spot won and I'm so glad. We were able to order the cuts of meat we wanted without being judged. Haha! Katie and the rest of the crew were amazing! We are thinking of going back again real soon! It was delicious!

Pretty good place, we would def try it again. It was as clean as most KBBQ places with oils flying about in the air. The side dishes were really fresh and had lost of flavor. The server was very friendly and helped with the menu. Overall this place was a good one. Only weird thing was the bathrooms. It has a door saying don't close the bathrooms but uhhhhhh, it's wide open to the people sitting near those tables and if that were my table I'd be grossed out.
