"I ventured to Beaverton this week to try a new casual Korean spot called Gangnam Teriyaki & Korean Cuisine (cue “Gangnam Style”). We got the jajangmyeon, jjampong, and tangsuyuk, but my favorite dish was the yetnal tongdak, a Korean-style deep-fried whole chicken. I’ve never eaten deep-fried turkey on a certain problematic holiday, but I imagine it tastes something like this — succulent meat with lightly crispy skin. Judging by its size, the chicken they use here are Cornish hens, but at $16, the dish is a great bang for your buck. The chicken is conveniently spatchcocked and comes with chicken mu, pickled radish that traditionally accompanies Korean fried chicken, and a sweet gochujang-esque sauce." - Eater Staff

"Gangnam Teriyaki & Korean Cuisine, a sister restaurant to Hillsboro’s Gangnam Korean BBQ, opened in Beaverton on April 26. The restaurant serves teriyaki bowls and plates with proteins like pork galbi and beef bulgogi, dishes including jjamppong and tangsuyuk, and soju highballs." - Janey Wong

Cute little place under apartments. Our food was a little bland. Not much flavor. I did not like the taste of the hot tea. We had to ask for some when everyone else that was seated before and after us was served theirs with the water. Lots of variety on menu.

Personal friendly great staff great personalities excellent food! Didn't feel uncomfortable in the least walking in there like I do in many restaurants. Smells great and the food is awesome! Have to say the lady at the counter was exceptionally personal and friendly the best!

Every time I think I’ve found my favorite Korean restaurant in Portland, another one comes along and takes the crown. Most recently, Gangnam, located on the west side of the river, has earned this title. This new gem has quickly become a standout in the city's vibrant food scene. Gangnam has a modern yet cozy atmosphere that immediately makes you feel welcome. However, given its popularity, the limited number of tables and seats can be a drawback. Be prepared for a potential wait during peak times, but trust me, it’s worth it. We were so impressed by the menu that we ordered five different dishes because everything looked and smelled amazing. Each dish was a delightful exploration of Korean flavors, perfectly balanced and incredibly fresh. The variety in their offerings caters to both traditional Korean food enthusiasts and those looking to try something new. The presentation of each dish was also noteworthy, adding to the overall dining experience. The staff was attentive and friendly, enhancing our dining experience. They were knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent recommendations. Despite the limited seating, Gangnam is a must-visit for any Korean food lover in Portland. The combination of delicious food, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere makes it a new favorite. I will most definitely be going back.

This place is a hidden gem!!! If you haven't tried their food, YOU ARE MISSING OUT! Ttobokki is excellent! Jjajangmyun is Bomb Diggity! Everything is well prepared, and the service is awesome!

Google
It’s a new hidden gem. I loved their jjamppong noodles – they were really good. The broth had a lot of flavor, and the portions were big as well. I also appreciated that they sell draft beer here. I do wish they had more food that could go well with their draft beers. The food selection that goes well with the beers is pretty limited. The restaurant has limited seating, but luckily, there weren’t many people when we visited. The staff is super friendly too. Will definitely come back to try the rest of their menu.

Nice place to get some quick Korean food. The jajangmeyon noodles were off good texture and flavor, and the pork katsu was good. The Yetnal Tongdak (fried chicken) was a bit plain for me. The bibimbap was decent and went well with all the other items.

Went on a Friday night for dinner and it was busy! We decided to take out since there was limited seating. Food was delicious! We got the Pork Katsu 🔥, Pork and Beef Bulgogi Teriyaki Bowl, Jajangmyeon 🔥, Tangsuyuk 🔥, and Yetnal Tongdak 🔥 Recommend trying out this spot! Looking forward to trying their jjamppong next time!

Yelp
I found the greatest Korean restaurant that had real taste of Korean food since I came to the US. The restaurant was small, but it was really new and clean. The food (stir-fried jajangmyeon and tangsuyuk) was delicious at the restaurant. So, I ordered a fried rice to go. It was contained in the plastic box. Surprisingly, there was the aluminum foil covered in the box so that the hot food didn't contact the plastic directly. GL

Yelp
Environment: it had high ceilings and there were tables a range of customers. My friend and I went to try and the tables were very interesting because there was a hidden part where you get your own silverware and napkins. Staff: very friendly and kind. Food: 1. Stir fry Jajangmyeon for $19. There wasn't a lot of seafood and the flavor was not that outstanding. The reason why I docked points was because there was a big blond strand of hair (not ours) in the middle of our noodles as we ate. 2. Rose Tteokbokki for $19. It didn't have a chili icon on the icon so I thought it would be fine but it was very very spicy for me, I drank all the water. Even if it's not super spicy to most people, they should still make note of it because it was very difficult for me to eat it. Overall, the food was okay. It was on the pricier side and nothing really stood out.

Yelp
I had the hamburger ball with lettuce and Rice. The MSG taste is very strong. Overall taste was not bad though. I would rank the taste a 7.5/10. The burger meat gave me bad heartburn though. The place is always packed, service was good. I think that I would be willing to try again. However .. wouldn't be my first choice.

Yelp
Place is super clean and the staff is super duper nice! Especially since the waitress offered us barley tea. I tipped extra because of her (she's American). But let's talk about the food. I think there's a ton of room for improvements (I've eaten a lot of solid traditional and non traditional Korean food) in the motherland. I also have worked as a recipe developer. Jjangmyun - black bean noodles 2/5: were cooked well, nice chunks of pork in it, noodles were cooked al dente and super perfect. My gripe? The sauce tasted like nothing. It lacked flavor, when I say this it does not lack black bean flavor, but alot of jjangmyun made has beef stock powder in it or some type of chicken stock powder. The sauce overall made the noodle dish semi boring to eat and pales in comparison to other Korean places serving this dish. Tangseyuk - fried pork 3/5: the pork cuts were large and easy to bite into. Very generous! My issue is the batter itself, I would suggest the owners make it less thin and add either 1 cup of cornstarch or potato starch to the batter. I say this because when it's served fresh it was nice for 1-2 bites but as we sat and ate our pork it quickly became less crispy and semi soggy due to poor batter formation. The dipping sauce served with the fried pork was also super bland and liquidy. Traditionally the sauce is very thick and sugary with hints of lemon. Please fix this (even the fried chicken sauce was better to pair with the fried pork). The sauce also made the pork even soggier. I'll probably stick to wok n guys or paiks for this dish. The fried whole chicken 3/5: they did a good job frying it but again when you compare it to authentic fried whole chicken in korea this lacked flavor. It needs to be brined a day before frying, this also gives the chicken its tenderness. The chicken was dry and kind of lacked any flavor. The chicken sauce they served with it was good but not good to complete or tie the dish together. They provide you with salt and pepper but it didn't really enhance anything. Would I return? Probably not anytime soon. I think though this place has a wonderful price point if you just want cheap easy Korean food.

Yelp
The service was very friendly and welcoming. Young man greeted us and the owner or front of house was helping us with the utensils hidden under the table. Family friendly environment and had a high chair for our party. Food was great overall but was slightly salty on the LA galbi. The kimpitang in our opinion was too saucy but overall had a lot going on but tasty. Noodles was perfect. Will come back to try other things!

Ploy N.

Yelp
A casual spot for quick Korean dishes. The Jajangmyeon was rice and a little sweet. I loved how much meat and noodles they gave you. Very good price to portion ratio. Spicy Pork Bibimbap was refreshing. The Tangsuyuk was meaty but could have been crispier. Overall, a good spot for quick meals.

Samy S.

Yelp
Gangnam Teriyaki & Korean Cuisine offers a delightful taste of Korean comfort food with a cozy, if somewhat compact, setting. The Korean corn dog is a must-try--crispy on the outside and perfectly cheesy on the inside. The jajangmyeon, with its rich black bean sauce, is both savory and satisfying. The pork katsu is another highlight, with a crispy breading and juicy meat. The ambiance is clean and inviting, though the space is a bit small. There's some outdoor seating which is a nice touch for sunny days. Service is friendly and efficient, though you'll need to order at the cash register. Overall, it's a great spot for a quick, tasty meal with a welcoming vibe.

Ben C.

Yelp
Sister restaurant to Gangnam BBQ, inside a the new West End District. Order at the counter, food brought out to your number. Fountain soft drinks and a couple Korean alcohol selections. Small inside and it packed with the lunch crowd quickly. A couple picnic tables with umbrellas outside in front is preferable on a sunny day. Noodles ~ chewy fun, cooked better than most. Jjamppong ~ soup was very spicy with the smokey flavored Korean red pepper, almost not enough soup being packed with noodles and a good amount of seafood. Jajangmyeon ~ great price at $12, tender cubes of meat, gooey good sauce, few sauteed vegetables. Fast casual Korean dining is the latest trend in PDX.

Miki M.

Yelp
Another new Korean spot in the Beaverton area! This spot is in West End District apartments and offers casual Korean-Chinese fare and teriyaki menus. The prices are fairly reasonable for the portion, which is a plus. They were also playing K-pop on the TV, so another plus! We came during their first few weeks of opening, so it took a bit longer to order since the cashier was still figuring out the system. I got the Jjamppong and it came in a huge bowl. The broth was pretty flavorful and not too spicy, but there seemed to be much more soup than noodles and fillings. We also got the Yukjeon, which is sort of like a beef pancake. It came with a dipping sauce and some cabbage. The sauce was tangy and savory, so it complimented the pancake well. I want to come back and try even more dishes!

Rin K.

Yelp
I visited Gangnam Teriyaki and Korean Cuisine yesterday during their soft opening with a group of 6 people, and overall, it was a delightful experience. The first thing that stood out was the affordability of the dishes, especially considering the portion sizes. At $12 the jjajangmyeon was particularly impressive. The jjajangmyeon sauce was rich and packed with meat and vegetables, which was a pleasant surprise for the price. The jjamppong had just the right amount of kick without being overly spicy, perfectly suiting my taste buds. At $14, the jjampong had incredibly good amount of seafood, brisket, and vegetables. I really hope these two menus keep staying in this way. Too great for the price! The noodles in both dishes was soft and had a great chewy texture. Tangsuyuk and yetnal tongdak were crispy and tasty. They offered 4 different sauces that we could try out from the self bar. We ordered all our dishes family style, and the restaurant thoughtfully provided ladles and individual plates, making sharing easy. The semi-open kitchen allowed us to see the chefs in action, and the food cooked in woks over real fire is always great. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our visit. Despite a mix-up with our drink order, they corrected it without any fuss, displaying commendable customer service. The restaurant offers a variety of seating options, from individual bar seats to larger tables that can be combined for bigger groups. It's perfect whether you're dining alone, with a friend, or with a large group. They also have a few outdoor seatings. However, there were a few areas for improvement. The self-service for water, sauce, and cutlery was unclear due to a lack of signage, which took a moment to figure out. Additionally, there were some inconsistencies between the wall menu and the paper menu, leading to confusion when ordering. Given that it was their soft opening, this was understandable, and the staff helped us sort it out without any issue. The restaurant isn't very large and was quite popular when we visited, which could mean a wait during peak times. Overall, Gangnam Teriyaki and Korean Cuisine offers great food at a great price, with excellent customer service. Despite a few opening hiccups, I look forward to returning and seeing how they continue to improve. I will definitely come back!

Yelp
This place is delicious! Had the Yetal Tongdak (Korean style deep fried whole chicken) which had a very light and crispy batter, and the Jajangmyeon (Noodles in Black bean sauce with diced pork and veggies) which had amazing depth of flavor. I will return soon to try the other delicious dishes I saw coming out. The space is small so it can get a bit crowded, but the service is fast and very friendly. The only possibly critique really would be the size of the chicken being smaller than expected. It is more of a Cornish game hen sized bird, so good I'll get it again without hesitation though.

Michael C.

Yelp
Went back a few more times since my first visit, still as good as the first time I went.

Kathie H.

Yelp
Simple, yet delish Korean food! All the meats were well cooked and seasoned. The price point is spot on, and the portions are quite large! If you're looking for something quick, and balanced this is your spot In a newer, upcoming area on Beaverton, so I'm excited to see what else pops up in the area.

Carissa H.

Yelp
Our first time coming (4 people total) & we had a great experience. Staff was kind and helpful. Place was clean and had good atmosphere. Food: My husband and I ordered the Jacobsen and the Korean fried chicken. 10/10. Also, I absolutely loved their Kimchi. My friends got their tofu bowl and pork katsu which they raved about as well. Definitely will be coming back to try more food.

Thuy N.

Yelp
Staff were kind and attentive. Small seating area inside. Made for small groups. Food is amazing! The type of dishes you do not find at every Korean restaurant. The food was flavorful and fulfilling! We can't wait to come back soon!

Nathaniel J B.

Yelp
Been wanting to try for a long while but was worried super hyped....Definitely will be back for the whole fried chicken!! But seriously disappointed with the jiajang myeon!! My friend ordered over rice and seemed to be still in pre made cubes, clumpy not re-heated up properly before serving so all sticking together? Mine was over noodles and a little watery? Kimchi was delicious and does not come with meal. Service was superb!!

Charlie T.

Yelp
Nice place to get some quick Korean food. The jajangmeyon noodles were off good texture and flavor, and the pork katsu was good. The Yetnal Tongdak (fried chicken) was a bit plain for me. The bibimbap was decent and went well with all the other items.

Kate C.

Yelp
Yummy! This new place rivals the newly opened Paik's noodle as they have a very similar menu-Korean Chinese food! I had to visit this place after hearing it was The Korean Mama approved! We ordered online for to go after a long day of hiking. I got the spicy pork bibimbap, tangsuyum and jajangmyeon. The bibimbap was disappointing. There was hardly any meat. Also, why is there lettuce? I don't ever recall any other restaurant giving me lettuce in my bibimbap. Jajangmyeon was good, but I found it a bit too salty for my taste. The tangsuyuk was the best part! Loved the crispy batter. The sauce was delicious. I just thought the portions were small for what we paid. The restaurant was pretty busy. The staff looked swamped and they barely acknowledged us which was disappointing. I get they were busy, but a simple greeting would have been enough. Is it better than Paik's? I wish they had a spicy jajangmyeon like Paik's.

Cathy S.

Yelp
I'm so glad to see more Korean-Chinese food spots opening closer to me! Wok n Guys is too pricy and Paik's Noodles is too far so this is an amazing spot to have this business for those in the Hillsboro/Beaverton area. Also this West End apartment area has lots of other options too. It looks like it's still in its soft opening so I want to recognize that in my review. It's a small place with just a few tables inside on the right and some counter seating as well. You order at the counter and you can see into the open kitchen working hard to fulfill the orders. The service was very friendly and answered our menu questions and food arrived quickly hot and fresh. We didn't get the trifecta this time and wanted to try something new. Of course we got the jajangmyeon (black bean noodles), it's not as sweet as the other places and there are big chunks of meat and lots of veggies. The noodles are soft and chewy the perfect vessel for this thick sauce. The rice cakes in the tteokbboki (spicy rice cake dish) were the softest rice cakes ever! The sauce was a little more watery than I preferred and it came with a nice kick. Lastly we really came to try out the yetnal tongdak (whole Korean fried chicken). It looked small but between the 3 of us it was actually the perfect amount to go with everything else we ordered. It was crispy and flavorful and the salad, salt mix, gojujang sauce, and picked radish all complemented this dish. Overall I'm impressed by the offering and we will be back to try their tungsuyak (sweet and sour pork) and the Jjamppong (spicy seafood soup) next time! Their teriyaki combos look great too.

Brittani C.

Yelp
Ordered: -Jjajangmyeon -Tangsooyook -Champpong -Tongddak Pro: -Tangsooyook was our favorite! It was tender & juicy -Tongddak was well roasted and crunchy!! This isn't something you can find at many restaurants so we really appreciated it. -Jjajangmyeon meat and seasoning was rich & tender -Plenty of parking -Staff are all really friendly Con: -Noodles were sticking to each other -The Korean in me wished the jjamppong was a tad spicier -Limited seating, but seats open up quickly (came at 1pm) -It can get loud in here (gets echo-y)

Chul L.

Yelp
It's a new hidden gem. I loved their jjamppong noodles - they were really good. The broth had a lot of flavor, and the portions were big as well. I also appreciated that they sell draft beer here. I do wish they had more food that could go well with their draft beers. The food selection that goes well with the beers is pretty limited. The restaurant has limited seating, but luckily, there weren't many people when we visited. The staff is super friendly too. Will definitely come back to try the rest of their menu.

Grace A.

Yelp
My friends & I were able to check this new Korean spot out during their soft opening. There's plenty of parking and they have outside seating as well as indoor. The workers are really friendly and even brought our food outside for us. The food prices were also good, and they have big portions. They also serve soju, soju high ball, some beer on tap and fountain soda. We ordered the Jjajangmyeon ($12), Tangsuyuk ($16), 2 choice combo plate of beef bulgogi & La Galbi ($17) & the 8 piece fried Mandu ($12)

Mollee C.

Yelp
The food here was Fantastic!! Highly recommend the Bibimbap, SOO good. Fresh ingredients and the service was very prompt and welcoming. The atmosphere is welcoming and the space is cozy. Would tell anyone to eat here if they want quality Korean food.

Ethan H.

Yelp
Amazing and Authentic Korean food! Same level of great service and quality from their paren Gangnam BBQ restaurant. My personal favorites were, chicken teriyaki that's from Chicken breast but tender like thigh and Jjamppong! They do not cheap out on quality and quantity! Must try!

Joel M.

Yelp
Found this place randomly on yelp while was in the area. It is located in a newer apartment complex. It is small only like 3-4 tables. Good for takeout. Anyway, this place is LEGIT! I tried their 떡볶이 (tteokbokki) and 군만두 (fried mandu) and both were delicious! I've lived in Korea for a few years and was looking for a place with authentic tteokbokki found in the 시장 (street markets) in Seoul and 포장 마차 (street vendors). This place is pretty close with the spiciness, ingredients, and freshness. I've tried a lot of tteokbokki in the area and nothing comes close and are often not as spicy to cater to local tastes. I will definitely be back to try their whole fried chicken, jjajangmyeon, tangsuyuk, and other foods! It's a good late night spot for a drink and 안주 (snacks paired with drinks). Hope you get to enjoy this great new spot!!!

Gina K.

Yelp
So yum! The owners are nice, food comes out quickly, and the place is clean. I personally think the jjampong, jjajangmyeon, and tangsuyuk are better than Paik's Noodle (don't come for me lol). Will be back to try out other items they have and whenever I have a jjajangmyeon craving!

Becky V.

Yelp
Utensils are within reach, food is mediocre. This is more of a Korean fast food casual restaurant. The flavors were good in the tteokboki but I feel like the fried chicken itself missed out of flavors. Overall, food items were good portion and price was decent, good experience.

E L.

Yelp
Pretty good Korean food. The location was pretty strange, in an apartment/condo complex. I would come back before a hike or something since it can cause carb coma.

Kathleen N.

Yelp
welcoming staff. order then seat yourself type of restaurant. generous portions with affordable prices. the teriyaki plate was $11! definitely a steal in this economy! definitely will come here again!

Shelley W.

Yelp
We just moved to West End and had heard about this place from several people so we decided to give it a try. The place is the perfect size in my opinion; cozy but not cramped, and they have a few outdoor tables which is perfect for warmer weather. The food was amazing and the portions were plentiful. Service was quick; we got there right before it got busy but even when it was packed, the servers were efficient and didn't keep people waiting. We will definitely be adding this place to our regular rotation, especially with the convenience of having it so close to home.

Dahlia C.

Yelp
Amazing food and service! The family and I came here for their soft opening on a Sunday afternoon and it was not too busy. The space inside is a little small but they also have outdoor seating as well. We ordered Jajangmyeon, Tangsuyuk, Katsu, and Hamburger Steak. I also ordered the Highball which is a Soju Bomb that is a blend of Soju and Beer. It was very refreshing! As you can see they offer a fusion of Korean Chinese and Japanese fare. Once you place your order at the counter, you are free to sit at any open table. The food came out pretty quickly and portions were decent. The Tangsuyuk was breaded with a slightly crispy batter which came with a side of sweet and sour sauce for dipping. The Jajangmyeon was rich and savory, noodles were cooked just right, but wish the temp of this dish was a little warmer. Husby enjoyed the Hamburger Patty which is similar to a Loco Moco and son had no complaints about the Katsu. The Mac Salad was amazing in my opinion. I felt that overall this did not disappoint and will definitely be coming back to try out more of their menu!

John L.

Yelp
Ever since China Jade closed, I've been on the hunt for a Jajangmeon that tastes like Korea's. I finally found that today, and it was only $12, for a healthy serving too! I'm looking forward to trying their other dishes. The service was good, but you do have to order at the counter. A minor inconvenience that's very worth quality food

Lindsey P.

Yelp
tangsuyuk is a little different that what i usually have - the batter is thinner, less chewy and has more seasoning. it was very good though! love the jjajangmyeon as well, has huge chunks of meat! restaurant is located in an apartment complex which is unusual but very nice area. service was fast and great. 100% will be back.

Lisa Y.

Yelp
I've never had jajangmeyong/black bean noodle except for chapagetti it was pretty good. the Jjampong was a steal at $14 with lots of seafood, the soup was flavorful without being salty. The tangsuku was still moist even though it was deep fried. my only slight disappointment was the fried chicken. i love little hen chickens but the breast was dry and lacked flavor. The staff was really nice. we sat outside and the wind picked up. multiple staff came out and helped us relocate inside and apologized for the wind. I can't wait to return to try other things on their menu.

Aaron V.

Yelp
The food here is amazing. I tried the japchae, tteokbboki, and the beef bulgogi teriyaki bowl and everything was absolutely fantastic. I can't wait to go back and try all of their other authentic dishes! They also have a small Korean snack bar with a few convenience store items, as well as offering a few options for draft beer.

Spring H.

Yelp
Best jajangmyeon I've had. I've tried many places in pdx, beaverton, Tigard and it's always very flavorless and not spicy. The people hear are also very nice and made sure my food was to my liking. I ended up coming back the next day to eat it again taking my mother who is also very picky, but she enjoyed the meal and is eager to come back. The portion is also great for the value. I love taking back my leftovers to eat at midnight

Esther K.

Yelp
The food is OK. I prefer other places to get Korean-Chinese food, like Wok n Guys. The price was good though.

Erica E.

Yelp
Definitely worth a visit. The two plate combo is big enough for two people or if you're one very hungry person. The beef bulgogi is well tenderized with good flavor. We loved the cabbage salad and macaroni salad. The black bean noodles are what we came for and we actually didn't care too much for them. The noodles were very good but the sauce was just ok for us. I didn't know this stuff is not meant to be a hot dish so I was pretty surprised by the room temperature of the noodles. We really want to come back to try more tho! The staff is very friendly and attentive. I give this place two thumbs up!

Julie M.

Yelp
The Teriyaki Bowl with bulgolgi and chicken was delicious. I loved the side coleslaw and mac salad. Also, the rice was cooked perfectly. We also ordered the tempura shrimp and loved it and the dipping sauce. We're coming back!

Min C.

Yelp
I was told to check this place out. My lunch date & I ordered chicken & bulgogi teriyaki bowls. Both dishes were COLD(rice & meat). Bulgogi was VERY salty! Service was mediocre. Won't be returning.

Laura S.

Yelp
Delicious chicken teriyaki, spicy pork and soju cocktail in the sun. We will be back!

Marjorie O.

Yelp
Yummy korean bbq place, great servings and friendly staff. Will be back soon. Always enjoy gathering here

Matt Z.

Yelp
I had the bugolgi pork and beef plate, which came with salad, peppers, macaroni salad, and cabbage salad. Everything was absolutely delicious. Prices were reasonable, and I had enough left over from my dinner to have a small lunch the next day. Highly recommend.

Micah H.

Yelp
Great food and price well. I had the whole grill chicken and it was juicy and perfect. My wife got the noodles with black bean sauce and it was also really good. The place is a little small with limited seating. Can't wait to go back to try more stuff.

Mimi K.

Yelp
Ordered- Jjamppong Jjajamyung Half fried chicken - it's really a game hen Spicy pork - small pieces of pork kalbi - mostly bones I'd skip this place and go to One Korean or Koreans restaurants. Better service, food and you get banchans!!!! Went 2x for fair review.

A P.

Yelp
Went to their soft opening. The jjajang myun tastes just like my mom's - I can't wait to go back!

Jenna G.

Yelp
Amazing food, lovely staff for! Being their soft opening they did an amazing job but this place was busy. They're going to need more seating. That was the only downside however we were able to get seated pretty quickly despite how busy they were.

Mr S.

Yelp
Where to begin. The food is superb. The people are so kind. I witnessed this little old lady call the waitress there a liar because the food was taking longer than expected to be prepared when the place was absolutely packed. Some people have no patience and think they're more important than everyone else. Then it got weird and uncomfortable. The little old lady turned out to be a racist little old lady. She cussed out the poor young man who works there because SHE lost HER keys. Only after an unimaginable racist verbal assault that went on for way too long did he ask her not to come back. Much respect for how he handled the situation. So, in addition to being very kind, they are also very disciplined. I could not believe how much patience that young man had. If you want to try Korean food for the first time like I did, I would recommend this place. Huge delicious portions, cheap. New regular here.

Where to begin?! I am absolutely devastated! I waited in the 90 degree heat 28 minutes for a teriyaki bowl that they said would take 5-10 minutes. (As the story will go, that was not the big upset.) When the young man, a member of the Korean family who own the restaurant, brought out my bag of food, I grabbed it and said that he needed to hire help. He made a nasty remark as I walked away. Unfortunately, when I was no more than a minute away from the restaurant, I realized that I had accidentally left my set of keys on the table where I had been waiting for the food. Ok, so here's the unbelievable, but very true part... When I returned, literally 20 or so seconds later, my keys were nowhere to be seen. I started to walk into the restaurant to ask if someone had turned them in and was yelled at by that guy who wouldn't let me in the door. He was, I guess, angry that I grabbed the bag and told him to hire help. He even clapped his hands as if to say "Yey! You lost your keys." I have an app on my phone that locates my keys and it indicated that the keys were right there, exactly inside that restaurant and I told him that. He continued to yell and said he didn't have them. This went on for about 15 minutes. I had even apologized for grabbing the bag instead of taking it in a nicer way. I then called the police, and shortly before they arrived, a different family male employee quickly exited the restaurant and I could hear the beeping sound fading away on my app the farther away he got. My app also indicated that my keys were going in the same direction as he was. The police question them, they deny everything. The officer asked for my phone and followed the direction and sound on the app to my keys, which this employee had thrown about the distance of a block away. They were thrown into the bushes off Murray. I'm still shaking my head over this whole thing. I have never been treated so poorly as a paying customer anywhere! I've worked many years as an ER nurse and, as such, have been hit, yelled at, spat upon and had anything reachable thrown in my direction, and have had to keep my composure and hold my tongue. That said, I would never treat any one of them, or anyone else for that matter, so poorly. I am a small-sized 70 year old woman and these mannerless and cowardly hotheads chose to treat me this way. I had no way to get back into my apartment or my car and had other items of importance on that key chain, and it was getting dark outside. Horrible experience! They deserve no stars in their rating, but unfortunately that is not an option.
