Best roof top view at meat packing district. Great service and friendly staffs with live music on stage. Shot out to Gina!

Rooftop bar of the Gansevoort Hotel in Meatpacking. Great view, cool vibes, close to the pool, but uber hot and sun was all in the eyes for the seated section of a dinner spot. Could've used better shading, hard to see in the dinner depending on where you were seated. Live music that day. Fruity drinks, and some drinks were out of stock on the menu, forced the guys to change things up. Water provided had stuff in it (not sure what, but they changed out all the glasses for us). Sushi was ok, the oysters a bit on the small side (East Coast?), with no cocktail sauce. Burrata on toast was good, though.

I chose this restaurant because my boyfriend was visiting from out of town, and I wanted to enjoy a rooftop restaurant with a nice view. Our server was polite, respectful, and professional, though not very talkative. He got straight to the point, and while we didn’t form a connection, this was fine for a date night with my boyfriend. I appreciated the lack of interaction in this context, but if I were dining with friends, I might have preferred more engagement. Drinks were overpriced but food was priced as expected. My boyfriend’s grilled chicken sandwich was great, but my Caesar salad tasted like chemicals, so I sent it back. The server didn’t apologize, which I found disappointing, though he handled my new order efficiently. I ended up ordering a spicy tuna roll, which was phenomenal. I would revisit, as I enjoyed the food, the music, and the view.

Do not come to this place, the waitress were so impolite and aggressive. We were going outside to the terrace, when suddenly one of the waitresses pushed me saying I couldn’t use that door anymore (when the other waitress said we could a minute before). Incredible - she literally pushed me and closed the door, and added a table next to the door to block it. I haven’t experienced this kind of treatment anywhere in NYC. For reference, the waitress had long hair blonde and extremely unprofessional. Also, after a few mins they decided to open the door again because there are NO other doors to access the terrace. Just as a note - the hostess was nice and was opening the doors to customers after this.

10 out of 5 stars! Yasso made our experience extraordinary. The drinks were out of this world!! Please give this guy a raise. So attentive and memorable. Food was incredible as well. We will be back again and again!!!

This is one of my fav and most classy rooftop in New York City. It has a wonderful ambiance and seating is aplenty. The tables are nicely spaced and it has a nice lamp light and candle ambiance which I love. The views of the city are ofcourse fantastic!.. but the rooftop itself is amazing and offers really good food which is not common in rooftop bars and restaurants. We ordered hummus with pita as an appetizer and they have one of the best hummus in the city for sure!.. then we had some sushi rolls which were standard. However their veggie burger is pretty good well as their angus burger. We also had mocktails to enjoy with our food, which were recommended by our attendant as we told him it’s our anniversary and we don’t drink alcohol!.. that was very sweet of him and we loved the mocktails!.. All in all , this rooftop has always left me with great times!

Went on a date here a couple weeks ago. Very happy I picked this spot. The views are awesome. The ambiance is really nice. And realllly good cocktails. The bartender that night was very helpful - Yasso. He asked questions about our preferences and suggested cocktails. He even let us try a cocktail he was experimenting with! Definitely will come back again… although probably with a different date 😅

The rooftop was amazing.. drinks top notch and our Bratender from Morocco. If i recall corrctly his name was Yasso was very attentive and made amazing drinks. Thanks for great night out

Asma took care of us tonight and she was INCREDIBLE! My fiance and I celebrated my 31st birthday and the food, drinks and atmosphere were nothing short of spectacular. Asma was so sweet, attentive, and efficient! Best dining experience in a long time, will definitely be coming back.

This spot has beautiful views. Went up around golden hour with no wait or reservation. Got some bar stools by the back patio and got to enjoy the sun set over the Hudson and enjoy the breeze. Drinks were just okay - not very strong and filled with ice. We didn't order any specialty cocktails from the menu, just regular drinks. Overall a good experience if you aren't expecting top tier food or drinks.

Stunning rooftop, great service and exceptional drinks !! I would recommend this place to everyone !! Truly one of my favorite places. The food is alright, but drinks are great

My girl friend and I wanted to stop by a hotel lounge/bar before heading out to our typical spot on a Friday night. Glad we stopped by to check out what the Gansevoort has been up to. There's a little coffee/cocktail waiting area in the lobby when you first walk in. We headed to the roof to grab a cocktail and decided to stay inside. The view is great if you choose to sit outside. The sitting area inside is pretty small with two large tables, back wall sofa seating, bar seating, and small tables for two people. Our service was excellent! He was so funny and kind. Our hipsters was very nice too. My friend got an espresso martini and she loved it. I got the sex & flowers cocktail and it's so sweet and tasty. I'm the type of person who loves fruity cocktails and juice. So I recommend that if you also love juice and fruit flavors. The cocktail was very beautiful and bubbly. Both of our drinks were strong.

Great rooftop to smoke a cig. Service and drinks were overpriced and slow. 6:10 for me.

My husband hosted my 30th birthday party at the Gansevoort Rooftop and it was amazing. The service was quick, the staff were friendly, and they made sure that my night was perfect. I want to give a special shoutout to Lauren, who truly went above and beyond to make sure that the event ran smoothly! The drinks were delicious, and while we did not eat the evening of my party, every time I've ever dined at the rooftop its been delicious (shoutout to chef!) Would highly recommend Gansevoort Rooftop and I look forward to coming back again to wine & dine!

Previously known as the gansevoort rooftop??Came here for drinks after buddakan dinner. Love the ambiance, not too crowded. Drinks were good and service was great. Been here several years ago but definitely not as packed as I remember. Still great views for this area. Might come back. No lines for Saturday night. Trust.

Please don't come here for views. The view of water and the meatpacking district isn't much in comparison to other NY rooftops but they obviously can't control that. The bartender was one of the most obnoxious and rude people I've ever encountered. She was upset about even having to make your drink nevermind being friendly. The outdoor balcony space is a little tight and although they have several signs that say no smoking people were still smoking out there and no one was around to enforce the policy.

So here's the deal the views are great and second to none the service is.. well... none. The waitress took forever to come back each time it felt like a decade just to get a glass of water. She was sweet but tried to scam us (I was with my financial/wall street friends) so there was no scamming possible for us! She tried to tell us a big bottle of rose would be cheaper than two small ones. We insisted we wanted the two instead and she kept bringing the large bottle....acting like it was our fault not being clear what we wanted. Disappointing to say the least- a very drawn out afternoon....

Gorgeous rooftop! My friend and I came for an event in the evening, and I love the green room aesthetic. The view near the pool was also beautiful. I would definitely recommend coming around sunset

Rooftop is amazing facility. The rooftop looks at lower west side (Hudson River and Jersey) and lower manhattan as well (world trade center). The manager (Nino) is doing an excellent job. He is very professional and attentive. He gave us a tour to the place and recommended few drinks that were delicious. We loved the sushi bar as well. Now the place with its new management and staff has more potential for success. Best luck.

One word: whack. Girl in the front says "it'll be a few minutes"....waited 45 minutes for the rooftop, for them to allow only the girls in my group to the top....only for them to tell me the place is completely empty and leave in 5 minutes. One of the wackest places I've seen in my years of life, please go somewhere else and enjoy your time with your friends. The bar at the bottom is great, I loved it there.

Our new season intro conference was held here. The exquisiteness is by far top notch boutique vibes! The special curated mix of colorful art & techy room upgrades were appreciated. Each room has a Lululemon mirror you can connect to wifi & choose your activity of choice. I chose dance & loved it. I loved my room, with the great view of the nyc meat packing area. The shops in this area are luxury! The team were attentive & kind. We had meetings all day here........on the rooftop then the unforgettable sunset happened . We closed the night out with light bites, drinks, & a DJ. The light bites were good: chicken sliders were so good yet spicy yet a great spicy. Hor douvres were great bites. It was an elevated experience! Bravo, wonderful conference experience as our team danced the night away!

Went for lunch and stayed for dinner too. Brilliant night. Chic bar and fantastic views. Great atmosphere and delicious food and drink. Cannot rate highly enough the service we received from DONNY. He went above and beyond for us and we had a fantastic time on the rooftop.

Service is absolutely horrendous. My wife and I came here on a Saturday night after dinner for a drink. It took about 15 minutes for a waitress to come to take our order, despite the place being nearly empty. Another 15 minutes pass, and we still haven't gotten our drinks. The whole time our waitress is standing next to the bar on her phone. She finally comes over again and asks what we ordered because she forgot! Another 10 minutes pass and we decide to leave because we're so fed up. On the way out, the waitress has the nerve to give us attitude about leaving! I have not had worse service or a worse experience at a bar in all of New York. If you're willing to pay $26 for a cocktail, there are literally thousands of other places you can go in NYC that will treat you better. I wish I could give this place negative stars, because 1 star is at least 1 star too high. The two stars that this place has is very generous.

Trashy. And more trashy. People drunk before 6pm. Sloppy, spilling drinks, throwing up everywhere. And this was on a Saturday. Not. Holding. Their. Liquor. Came with a friend. Was completely disgusted. Drinks & space amazing. Clientele was disgusting. Will never come back.
