Great ambience! It was tasty, gave decently-sized portions, and had beautifully plated dishes (not to mention, the drinks they offer!)! Servers seemed to have a good grasp of the menu. Our servers were also quite friendly and patient when we (as in me) inquired for more time to choose which delicious entre I would pick. They were also very helpful! It happened to be my birthday that day as well, and they gave me a birthday dessert on the house which I really appreciated as well. Delicious food! I saw many more options (both food and drink) that I would love to try! I’ll be back!

Google
First time visitor and would love to come back for more. Saw this on instagram as a sister shop for both Isarn Thai and Kin Len (we also love both of these restaurants) so we anticipated this to be good and it did not disappoint. Wait time was a little long (we did wait for almost an hour after putting out name down) but to be fair we came here at peak dinner hour on a Saturday - definitely prepare to wait tho especially since they are relatively newly opened. All the food was great but dishes I’d highly recommend to try are the Pandan lead chicken for appetizers, spicy yum noodles and their bread dessert dish with panda cream and butter. I don’t think we have tried their best dishes yet so definitely coming back for more next time!

Google
Excellent experience - unique, risky cocktails, deeply flavored food. We ordered the spicy pork jowl, the sizzling suki plate, and the tom yum moo, which reminded me of khao soi. Everything was honestly really good. So flavorful, spicier than you think, but the noodles had a great chew of the bite. Would absolutely come back here and try more things. Among the best Thai I’ve had in Seattle and reasonably priced too.

Google
Had an early side quest to find some new Thai food, and this newer noodle spot in Seattle was worth the try. I ordered what they call the Kurobuta noodle soup, and it was very good—rich in flavor and slightly thicker but still balanced. They give a fair amount of meat and noodles, which I appreciated. I also got the crispy chive cakes, which were tasty as well. The whole restaurant has a clean, aesthetic vibe and a great atmosphere. Parking can be a little limited since it’s mostly street parking, but overall I’d definitely try this place again

I ordered Pad See Ew for takeout before, and even though the restaurant was buzzing with customers, I was surprised by how quickly my order was ready. The atmosphere, the aroma inside the restaurant, and the staff’s friendly service were all excellent. The food was delicious, and the portion size was generous. I honestly thought it was a great business model and looked forward to ordering again. However, when I ordered the same dish today in the afternoon, the experience was quite different. The beef was thick like steak instead of thinly sliced, the portion was noticeably smaller—about two-thirds of what I received last time—and the dish tasted watery with uneven seasoning. It felt like a completely different meal compared to my first visit. I hope this feedback is helpful for the kitchen staff. The quality difference between my two orders was significant, and consistency will make an already good place even better.

Google
The food here is incredible! You can tell a lot of care goes into the presentation and flavors of every dish. We started with the duck spring rolls and crispy wontons, both of which were cooked perfectly. For mains, we tried the baked crab with glass noodles and the crispy pork with gai lan, but the standout was definitely the XO seafood noodles—highly recommend ordering that. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and has a great menu selection. The only downside was the Thai ice tea; they only offered a slushy version which tasted more like coffee than tea, so it wasn't really my preference. Overall, still a great experience.

Google
A great spot for authentic Thai-Chinese dishes. The noodles, hotpot, and curry rice are outstanding, hard to beat!! Desserts are unique and yummy, and the cocktails are top notch. Highly recommended!

Google
I’m absolutely delighted with this place! I went with four friends but we ended up ordering nine dishes 😅. My top favorite is the Braised Beef Noodle Soup — hands down my number one pick. But honestly, every dish made me do a happy dance! The staff are super lovely, and the atmosphere is just wonderful — cozy, relaxing, and perfect to hang out. Next time, I’ll definitely book a window seat! 🌟

Yelp
This was my second time trying to get a meal at Gao Lhao and we finally succeeded! The hype is no joke; even on a weekday night there is a long line out the door. The trick is to put yourself on the waitlist but hang out around the bar area. If there is an opening at the bar, you can seat yourself! This is probably the best way to get a spot if you're dining solo, since there are tons of solo bar spots. We got the Bha Hang Mee (w/ crab and pork belly) and the XO Noodles. Even though both dishes were pretty noodle heavy, the tastes were completely different. I felt like all the ingredients were very fresh, especially the seafood. I liked the pork belly in the Bha Hang Mee the most, it was so crispy and flavorful. I also enjoyed the poached egg as well. For dessert, we got the Bua Loy Nam Khing - glutinous rice balls filled w sesame, served in a gingko tea. This was fabulous. I am used to having tangyuan (the Chinese version of the rice balls), so I wasn't sure what to expect. I think the sesame paste here is homemade and so it feels stronger than a store-bought tangyuan. The gingko tea is nice and warm to go along with the rice balls; a little strong on the ginger but I didn't mind. I LOVED this dessert - and the presentation just made it better. I would love to come back and try more items. This place is already so successful and I can't wait to see what other people think!

Yelp
Nice addition to the Green Lake area. I am a huge fan of Kin Len so I was excited to try its sister restaurant reminiscent of BKK's iconic Yaowarat. We waited about 45 minutes at prime dinner time on a Saturday night. The appetizer menu had great small bites for the table to share. The Bha Mee bowl comes with your toppings of choice and their pork only (no shrimp) wonton worked out of our shellfish allergy party. Their pad see ew was also a solid choice as it had good wok hei. We opted to try their wok charred noodles and gravy and although the flavor was quite smoky, the noodles actually lacked the charred crispiness. Would probably skip this next time. Between Kin Len and Gao Lhao we definitely prefer the previous. However, Gao Lhao is still a solid addition to the green lake neighborhood.

Yelp
One of many places I've had for a long time on my list, this restaurant is in the Green Lake neighborhood, which is hard to find parking in especially on weekends. This was on a Friday night around 7pm, and what's worse is that you may even be quoted an hour wait time for bar seating despite coming alone, which I ended up doing. But people did leave bar seating much faster, so I snagged a spot as soon as I saw an opening and groups that didn't also rush over. For this place being a bar-like setting, it's not that loud, and there's a ton of nice and dim lighting inside, including the Chinese equivalent of the name of this place, 高楼 (literally "tall buildings") and pronounced similarly. Even the bright underside table lights were very dim and gave a high-class bar feel. You might need your phone flashlight to look at the menu in some spots. I got their bha mee hang bowl which has crispy pork belly, pork wontons, BBQ pork and an onsen egg all in a bed of dry egg noodles. Overall dish was filling, delicious and homely. Garlic taste was very strong throughout the whole dish but it never detracted from any of the well-flavored meats. Crispy pork belly was my most favorite as the outer part was indeed crispy and the meat was tender. Pork wontons were relatively small and were almost unnoticeable, but tasted pretty good. BBQ pork was sweet and tender. Best of all, this dish came out in less than 5 minutes of ordering, with every ingredient being hot and fresh. Most other items were on the pricer side so I was slightly deterred from getting anything else though on a future visit I'd get their crab rangoon pockets as an appetizer, sangkhaya bai toey (pandan custard) as dessert and a chrysanthemum slush as a drink. From pics, all of these look so good and shareable with another friend!

Yelp
Really interesting and tasty flavor profiles. We got an assortment of dishes, some off of happy hour and some off of the main menu. The one miss was the calamari salad because the calamari itself was cold which was not very pleasant. The soup was very flavorful and the green beans were a great portion size for the price. We arrived right when they open end and were able to be seated, but shortly after there was a waitlist forming! Overall a fun and bustling restaurant.

Yelp
Gao Lhao is a relatively new restaurant located in the Greenlake area of Seattle that serves Thai-Chinese cuisines! There is street parking available around the area. We were able to snag parking with no issues Saturday. However, it was quite busy at the time we arrived. For our party of three, it was about a 15 to 25 minute wait. Since it was Happy Hour, we decided to order the Crab Rangoon Pockets as a appetizer for our group to share. Another appetizer we shared was the Fish Sauce Wings. Also, I ordered the Kurobuta Boat Noodle Style and Chrysanthemum Slushy for myself. All the food and drinks we ordered were AMAZING! Everything about our time at Gao Lhao was amazing. The interior is beautiful furnished and decorated with a downtown night life ambiance with a darker lighting. I loved the Fish Sauce Wings. I loved how crispy the Crab Rangoons were. The Kurobuta Boat Noodle Style dish was delicious and very comforting for the fall weather. The Chrysanthemum Slushy was very refreshing! I would LOVE to come back and try more dishes.

Yelp
Came back here and ordered another to go dinner for my family. Most dishes were ok but the steak from the garlic fried rice was severely undercooked. We asked for medium well and received steak that was rare or med rare. We didn't notice until we got home 20 minutes. I guess this serves as a reminder for me to always check my order here before leaving. Disappointing because I've been to their sister restaurant, Kin Len, several times and have always enjoyed it. If I do come back hopefully the experience will improve.

Yelp
Went here for a quick dinner around 5pm. Thankfully this place has an underground parking (90 mins free from purchase from PCC) or else you're not gonna find parking anywhere in Greenlake. Place is a really vibrant and clean place and was greeted by the waitress. The service was great as the staff was accommodating and checked in on me, offering to merge another table as my small table couldn't fit all the dishes. The food was great, I could not get enough of the noodles I had and the appetizers were great. Take advantage of their happy hour!

Yelp
Gao Lhao has been on my radar screen since early August. I had the opportunity to give it a try earlier this month with fellow Yelp Elite All Star, Carol C (10/11/25). Gao Lhao is a vibrant Thai - Chinese spot in Seattle's Green Lake neighborhood, same complex where the PCC is located. Experienced staff at this restaurant/bar spot, since they are owned by the same folks from Kin Len Thai Night Bites (Fremont) and Isarn Thai Soul Kitchen (Lynnwood, Kirkland, and Seattle in Ravenna & Queen Anne). We tag team drove from Edmonds via I-5. Carol found street parking, I ended up in the underground parking garage shared with PCC and other retail sites. Note: Gao Lhao does not validate. Unless you bought something at PCC, you pay at the kiosk upon exiting. For a little over 2 hours, I paid under $9. Our visit was on a Saturday afternoon, no reservations, and had a brief wait before being seated. This gave me the opportunity to admire the nice interior from the front dining area and surrounding seating proximate to the bar. We had fairly attentive, unobtrusive service during the two hours we were there. We ended up ordering the following: *Crispy Duck Spring Rolls ($14) Roasted duck with cabbage, carrot, sweet corn, scallion with hoisin and sweet plum dipping sauces. Definitely crisp and flavorful. *Braised Duck Noodles ($20) Duck quarters (drumstick & thigh), yu choy, and egg noodles. Lucked out with two succulent quarters, generous veg & noodles! *Iconic Yaowarat Street Curry ($19.50) Rich curry paste with sliced beef, Chinese sausage, winter melon, and soft boiled egg. Served with steamed rice. Savory, creamy and paired great with the rice. *Bha Mee Hang Bowl ($24) Dungeness crab, BBQ pork, crispy pork belly, pork wontons, and an onsen egg atop dry egg noodles with garlic oil and cilantro. Wow - this is one of those entrees that had it all. We ordered too much, however, had generous leftovers split between us to take home. Our server was kind to provide perfectly sized containers to divvy up the tasty food. I look forward to dine here again with The Homie and also the College Friend for her overdue belated birthday. I also would like to explore their inventive cocktail menu. Terrific addition to Seattle's Green Lake neighborhood!

Yelp
Really fun spot to dine any day of the week! Ambience is fun with mood lighting, hip music, stylish decor. Great for groups or date nights. Service was kind and attentive - walked us through the menu, kept our waters full, and food came quickly! Chive Cakes (appetizer) 4/5 stars - crispy but somewhat fell apart. Overwhelming with chives. Great soy dipping sauce. Bha Mee Hang - crispy pork bowl. 4/5 stars with subtle hints of flavor. Lots of food and variety. Mama Tom Yum - 5/5 stars. Perfect spice, great broth, served partially cooked as the hot pot fire brings it to life! Really good and great to share New York Steak Curry Rice - 5/5 stars. Excellent. Steak cooked to perfection, generous spice level on the curry, served with white rice. An abundance of food! We all took home something. Come hungry! Great spot. Would return.

Yelp
Gao Lhao is a hot new Thai restaurant in Green Lake. Their food is a mix of Thai and Chinese fusion. I've seen a lot of trending videos of their hot pot, so I had to try their tom yum hot pot. It was delicious! We got the seafood option, which had a nice variety, and the noodles were the classic Thai Mama noodles, if you know, you know. We also got appetizers. Their duck egg rolls were delicious with tender meat, but the chicken wrapped in pandan leaf was not impressive. The chicken had a weird texture, and the flavor wasn't great. We also ordered our regular Thai favorites like fried rice, noodle dishes, curry, and boat noodles. They were good but nothing extraordinary that you couldn't get at other Thai restaurants. I think I'd only go again for the hot pot. Everything else was just okay. Parking is street parking and can be challenging to find. Service was pretty fast, and our food came in about 15 to 20 minutes. Wait time was almost an hour, and you can put your name down ahead.

Yelp
A great Thai/Chinese restaurant to try! I had their Gao Lhao with crispy pork belly, BBQ pork, and wontons and it was pretty good! The pork belly was well made and pretty crispy and full of flavor. The BBQ pork and wontons were tasty as well. The egg noodles with the soup were flavorful and I thought the whole portioning of the dish was fair. The ambiance was good. It's well organized, clean, and has some nice decorations. There are plenty of seating. The lighting can be a bit too dark though. The service was good. All of our questions were answered and the food didn't take long to make.

Yelp
Pretty solid Thai restaurant addition to the Green Lake neighborhood. I've been here a few times now and have tried a variety of items on the menu including the spicy pork jowl tossed yum style noodles, northern style broth curry, and phad Thai night market. For apps, I've had the crispy calamari, fish sauce wings, and crispy duck spring rolls. I also tried a couple of drinks from the cocktail menu which were yummy, and they have NA options too. I'd definitely keep dining here. Friendly, fast service and a great, social ambiance inside

Yelp
I've been excited about trying Gao Lhao ever since I found out it was opened by the same people behind Kin Len. I expected beautiful ambiance and amazing food, and Gao Lhao definitely delivered! We came right at the start of happy hour and the restaurant was already bustling. They use Yelp waitlist, so you can put your name down and stroll around the surrounding area. We waited maybe 10 minutes before we were seated. Walking through the restaurant, I appreciated the neon signs on the walls, vintage art, and aesthetic seating that give this restaurant its unique flair. The happy hour deals are amazing, and they have many appetizer options and drinks on their HH menu. We ordered a TON despite being a party of two, and I am glad I got to try so many items! Food came out very quickly as well, my thoughts are below. Chrysanthemum slushy (HH): This was so smooth, you could hardly taste the alcohol. The texture of the ice was satisfying, but it honestly gave teeny-tiny pebble ice more than slushy texture. Though I am not the biggest fan of chrysanthemum tea, this was super refreshing to sip between rich and flavorful bites of food, like a palate cleanser! Fish sauce chicken wings (HH): These were SCRUMPTIOUS. The meat was super tender and the sauce was sweet, savory, and super umami. I loved the caramelized edges and how the sticky sauce coated the crisp skin. All of the wings were flats, in case you are a fellow drum lover like me. Calamari and Salted yolk salad (HH): This was the absolute winner for my friend and I. All the veggies were crisp and clean, and there was a generous portion of crispy, tender calamari, but the star of the show was the dressing! The creamy sauce had crumbled, earthy, mealy bits of salted duck yolk throughout, and the flavor combo was something I have never tasted before. If I manage to replicate this dressing at home I may enter my salad girl era. I actually could not relinquish my fork until this salad was DECIMATED. Crab curry noodle wrap: This was another stunning dish that combined flavors I had never thought to put together before. The curry sauce was a perfect balance of sweet, spicy, creamy goodness, and the crab claw option comes with three plump, tender crab claws. You definitely aren't getting a ton of crab in each wrap but a little does go a long way to complete the bites. You dip the vermicelli in the curry sauce, then pile a leaf (idk what it was) high with the saucy noodles, a piece of flaky crab meat, some fresh pineapple, cucumber, mint, and pickled mustard greens. Put a spoonful of curry sauce on top for good measure. The flavors unfolded beautifully as I chewed through my wrap. First the creamy curry, then the bright, sharp, sour, salty notes of the other toppings. This dish would not be complete without any one of the sides. Sukhothai tom yum noodles: I have had stupendous tom yum noodles at other restaurants before and my standards are quite high. While Gao Lhao's rendition is by no means bad, there were a few things that keep it from taking the top spot in my ranking. Namely, the BBQ pork topping felt a bit like an afterthought. While there were many pieces, it was dry and tough. I did enjoy the sweetness from the long bean, but I think it could have benefited from a bit more acid in the broth. We opted for the egg noodles and they were perfectly springy. The portion was absolutely massive! Creamy galangal coconut hot pot: Everyone talks about the seafood hot pot, but this coconut chicken soup is a flavor explosion that is so, so unique yet drinkable. It is almost hilariously simple at first glance, just some mushrooms and chicken breast sliced against the grain, stewed in a coconut broth with some glistening spots of oil on top. However, the galangal-forward, savory chicken broth is the perfect sipping soup for Seattle's perennially cold and rainy weather. The soup is thin and not overpoweringly creamy. The coconut gives the soup a luxurious richness without making it taste like straight coconut milk. The chicken was just a tad tough, but given that we had neglected this dish in favor of the other four on our two-person table, it is honestly not that surprising. While this is on the pricier side for a Thai restaurant, you are getting great portions and unique, delicious food that you get to enjoy in a gorgeous ambiance. Whether you are looking for unique bites or a show-stopping dinner spot, Gao Lhao is a must-try!

Yelp
Service is great. Kin Len/ Isarn team did a great job with this new sister restaurant. The vibes were there. Location is prime. I came at the end of happy hour thru dinner and it was packed. Food is all shareable & flavorful. The Bha Mee Bowls (dry noodles) are very flavorful and large. Thats their thing and I think it's done well. Pad Thai classic, is alway good. I think actually better than Isarn at least this time feels more saucy. Calamari was a bit too heavy in batter and fried for me. Really like the flaming tiger tom yum . It tasted like a hybrid of tom kha and tom yum. Was a nice balance from the other dishes Slushies were great ! Fun flavors like chrysthanmem and yuzu , both non alcoholic and alcoholic options.

Yelp
This restaurant is so aesthetic. I love the effort put into the decor. The server recommended anything with duck so we had to get one of the duck dishes. Me and my friend decided to split a tom yum moo and the roasted duck with spinach noodles. We had gotten there basically when doors opened on a Monday so it was pretty empty when we entered. They ended up needing to deliver the dishes at different times which we believe is due to the timing. The tom yum moo did feel like they made a typically tom yum into a noodle soup. It was pretty good and a familiar flavor. The crispy pork in this was interesting. It's very crispy even when in the soup but whatever they did to create that texture did affect the mouth feel. It was stickier than expected and not necessarily a nice way. I did like this dish but if you tend to lean less saltier foods like my friend, the noodles don't remove the urge for noodles. The roasted duck with spinach noodles was good but a bit unfamiliar. I couldn't quite place the taste. It wasn't familiar to me, not in a bad way just new to me. The duck was solid. I don't think spinach noodles really added much to this dish so if I were to try another bowl, I might just go for egg noodles. Overall, I liked the vibes and I would go again because I feel I don't commonly see this particular fusion around.

Yelp
Delicious! This is a new spot opened by the same people as Kin Len and Isarn, so I knew it had to be good. We came on a Friday night and were quoted a wait time of 45 minutes, which came to be pretty accurate. There is quite a bit of seating inside, but it was still super busy. When we were seated, we had a nice booth style table near the front. We all decided to order the bha mee hang with the wontons, crispy pork belly, and bbq pork. It was such a generous portion, and the flavor was delicious! Super savory, sweet, and umami and they gave plenty of veggies and meat. Everything was seasoned super well and the texture was great, though I did think the pork belly could have been a tad crispier. We also got the black sticky rice with coconut ice cream for dessert, which was also delicious! The rice was perfectly chewy and it was such a great way to end the meal. Service was nice though a bit rushed, but overall a great spot!

Yelp
Gao Lhao is a new spot in the Greenlake area. I really like the neighborhood and there were a lot more other good places you could pop into. The interior is really nice and spacious. They have happy hour options which are always a plus. I tried almost all of the options on the happy hour menu and would come back to try some of the other entrees. I found street parking when I came here but would definitely carpool if you can. Staff: Really Nice (5/5) Sanitation status: Really clean (5/5) Thai Tea Shush (5/5) This was a very creamy slush as well, you could taste the flavor of the tea really well and the slush consistency kept it nice and cold. Chrysanthemum Slush (5/5) This was so good, there are boozy options for this drink. I couldn't even really taste the alcohol in this drink so if you're looking for a drink that doesn't have that strong alcholic taste this is it. I'm a big fan of chrysanthemum so this was perfect with the amount of flavor I got from this. Crispy Pork Wontons (3.5/5) These were okay to me, I found that there wasn't too much filing in these but if you're looking to much on crispy wonton skins then this is your dish. Calamari and Salted Egg Salad (4/5) This salad was good, the dressing was nice but nothing too amazing, the salted egg in this dish is sprinkled on top of the salad but I wish it was more incorporated with the dressing instead of just a topping. Still a good option for additional veggies. Soybean Marinated Sliced Pork(4/5) This was marinated with soybean paste and had a slurry sauce with it. The pork was cooked really nice and still tender. I would say it's a good shareable that comes with a roll with butter and another spread.

Yelp
New Thai restaurant that recently opened. The aesthetics, the hospitality, and food was such an enjoyable experience! I wished we had the stomach to try everything. We arrived after lunch and before dinner, so there was no wait at all and all the servers were attentive. Be sure to check out their happy hour menu, I barely got a glanced at it but our waitress was kind enough to let us know that the calamari we ordered is part of HH, We ordered : Calamari - big bite sizes, breaded nicely, however not the best and I could probably skip this. It came with the sweet chili sauce Beef shank stew - this was delicious! soup was flavorful and light, they definitely do not skip out on the protein here. There were plenty of tendon, meatballs, and sliced meat. Bha Mee Hang Bowl - specifically onsen egg, crispy pork belly, bbq and wontons. All the toppings were well made on top of egg noodles. This is delicious however it was lacking a bit of flavors to my likings but overall a great dish Overall: this is a great spot wished I lived closer to it though but if I'm in the area I'll definitely be coming back. The price to portion was great seemed like everything was fair and met expectations

Yelp
Cute spot with good vibes and fresh ingredients. We tried the boat noodle (definitely the highlight for us, which was flavorful and comforting), the XO soft shell crab salad (just okay, didn't feel super authentic), and the smokey chicken curry noodles (a bit experimental and not our favorite). Service was great and the space is really charming. While it didn't totally live up to the hype, I'd come back for a casual lunch, especially for the boat noodles.

Yelp
Trendy restaurant in the greenlake area, expect a ~40min waitlist during dinner time. Servers were very nice, and food portions are generous. I thought the food was maybe a little overhyped. Bha mee hang was sweeter than I expected, but there are sauces and chili flakes on the table for more flavor. Dish also comes with crispy pork, bbq pork and a very thin noodle. My friend got the Tom Yum, I had a quick taste and it was good. Not too spicy.

Yelp
Believe the hype! This place is amazing. We got: Crab beancurd roll - melts in your mouth Fish sauce chicken wings - perfect Bha mee hang bowl with crab and one with duck - huge portions, DELICIOUS. The server recommended this Tom yum moo - the star of the lunch for sure. We loved the physical menu (so sick of QR codes) and the interior design. The servers were sweet and had opinions on the food which is always lovely. The cocktails were amazing. I can't wait to come back and work my way through the menu.

Yelp
Last time I ordered by just looking at the menu, and honestly, it wasn't great. This time I decided to ask the server for recommendations -- and everything we got was delicious! The steak garlic rice was rich, nutty, and juicy -- absolutely amazing. I ordered it medium rare, but it came out closer to medium -- still, it was really good. The spring rolls weren't what I expected, but the more I ate them, the more I liked them -- light, crispy, and perfect with beer. The Mama Tom Yum soup was spicy, flavorful, and full-bodied. We ordered it with pork, and it wasn't greasy at all -- just deeply satisfying. The ramen noodles in it were such a nice touch. So glad I decided to give this place another try -- totally worth it!

Yelp
This was my first visit to this amazing restaurant at Green Lake, with a family member whose recommended your establishment. The service was excellent, attentive, and instructive. The place has an electric vibe of excitement, a great selection on the menu, and the hot pot was excellent. This was a bright spot.

Yelp
Service was quick and attentive. Chicken skewers were executed well. Came with two sweet buns and peanut sauce. Got the salted egg yolk salad with fried calamari. Get the salted egg yolk dressing on the side because it is a lot. Pork jowl was tender and tasted like mama noodles with viet fish sauce. Yaowarat curry was the least impressive since it tasted like typical Thai yellow curry with Chinese sausage and winter melon. Definitely get the yakult/yuzu drink slushy. Was tasty.

Yelp
I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance and didn't realize it was connected to Kin Len. The interior is beautiful, with a stunning decor and a menu that looked promising, so we decided to try it out. We arrived just before 6, so happy hour was still on. Parking isn't validated in the PCC/retail lot, but if you buy something at PCC, you get 90 minutes free. The overall ambiance was really nice. CALAMARI SALTED YOLK SALAD - 1/5 The salted yolk flakes didn't add much flavor, and the fried calamari was very mid. Nothing stood out here. CHICKEN SKEWER - 2/5 The chicken was dry, the sauces were forgettable, and the homemade bread didn't taste special. TOM YUM W/ CRISPY PORK - 3/5 More enjoyable than the appetizers. The flavor was solid, but the soup was thicker than a typical tom yum since the instant noodles were cooked in it. There were ground pork bits throughout, which felt heavy. The crispy pork was good, but otherwise the soup lacked variety. BHA MEE HANG (dry egg noodles with BBQ pork and crispy pork belly) - 4.5/5 The standout dish. The egg noodles were flavorful, and the crispy pork belly was excellent. I'd skip happy hour--it didn't offer much, unless I just ordered the wrong items. But the noodle bowls, especially the BHA MEE HANG, are definitely worth trying!

Yelp
Had a great time checking out this new noodle spot in Green Lake. I liked the vibe initially upon walking in. My friend and I beat the dinner rush. With this being a newer spot, budget enough time to request a table and wait a little while. I ordered the crab Rangoon pockets, there were okay. For my main I had the bbq pork, crispy pork belly, and onsen egg bowl. It was overall tasty, but the pork belly was too chewy, maybe overcooked? Pricing was fair, vibe was good, food was okay. I'd go back, but with middle of the road expectations.

Yelp
This is my new favorite "new" restaurant in Seattle! Gao Lhao just took over as my new go to spot for amazing Thai noodles and soup. Located in the Green Village plaza within Greenlake, there is plenty of garage parking that comes with free validated parking with any purchase at the neighboring PCC. The portions of the Bha Mee Hang BBQ pork, crispy pork belly, pork wontons, and poached egg was large enough to share between my partner and I. This dry noodle comes packing with umami flavor; nothing is dry about this dish! It's saucy, the noodles have great bouncy texture, the scallions and dried onions provide a crisp taste. I have no complaints about this delicious and hearty noodle dish, I wholeheartedly recommend. The Tom Yum hotpot with pork and mama noodles was the star of the show. Tangy and spicy, this tom yum did not disappoint and again: the portions are generous and more than enough to share between a minimum of two heavy eaters. Other dishes we enjoyed were the fish sauce wings and the slushy thai ice tea. I have been waiting to review this place since January 2025 when it was teased by the owners of Isarn and Kin Len that this Greenlake gem was in the works. I will be coming back and enjoying more noodles at this beautiful restaurant very soon.

Yelp
Gao Lhao is phenomenal! Located in the Greenwood area of Seattle, they served Thai-Chinese food specifically from Thailand's Chinatown called Yaowarat. When I went my partner there was no wait around 4PM on a Wednesday so we were seated right away. The food is homey and delicious! We ordered the Fish Sauce Wing, Calamari, and Bha Mee Hang, which contained Duck and Spinach Noodles in a very saucy coat. It didn't feel overpowering but just right. The interior of the restaurant captures the heart of Yaowarat too. The homage to it makes the food even better too. You need to stop by Gao Lhao to obtain this feeling!

Yelp
Was excited to try this place since it was created by Isarn (my favorite place) and everything was ok. The bah mee bowls with crispy pork belly was amazing and comes with a lot! The pork wontons were ok, not much filling in them. The fish sauce wings were big and crispy on the outside. The panang curry with steak was very salty even with the rice so that was ok. The service was excellent! We did go on a weekend for lunch so the wait was about an hour. So highly recommend going to put your name down and then enjoy a nice pre-meal walk at Greenlake! There was plenty of seating too for large parties.

Yelp
Went on a Monday night so it wasn't too busy. We were a group of 6 and were seated within minutes. Loved how this was the baby of Isarn and Kin Len. Explains why the food was delicious. Food was great, service was prompt and the vibes were good. Good for group dinners or date night. Parking is in the attached garage which is convenient.

Yelp
A nice new spot in town, I love their sister restaurant in Fremont. Vibes and aesthetics were nice. Friendly staff. My rating is more so based on the food. Had the glass noodles (felt like a bunch of ingredients thrown into a dish, a bit messy), crab curry (kind of a weirdo way to eat a curry in the form of a wrap. We felt just having he curry as a noodle dish would have been great vs having it as a wrap), duck egg rolls (couldn't really taste the duck, could have been a veggie egg roll and we wouldn't have been able to taste the difference). They had a Thai tea slushy - love that it wasn't overly sweet but it was much strong on the tea side, would have loved the option to have it as a non slush option. Also if you sit with the high tables and chairs, it was impossible to get in and out without bumping into the table next to you. A very awkward set up.

Yelp
Checked out the new Gao Lhao in Greenlake! Make reservations or wait an hour and half to get seated like we did. Atmosphere and vibes made you feel like you were in Thailand . I ordered the Bha Mee Hang Bowl that had dungeness crab, bbq pork, crispy pork belly and a soft boiled egg. I thought the overall dish lacked flavoring. It was a dry dish with very little sauce (no soup). I would come back and try something different. The two appetizers we got were basic. They have a good selection of drinks both alcoholic and non alcoholic with a full bar. I'm rooting for them!

Yelp
I reallyyy wanted to love this place that I visited twice in a week. My first experience was decent, I enjoyed the big portions and atmosphere. The decor and service were great. We got the bha mee hang bowl, golden 4 corners, and happy hour beef shank stew and alc slushees. All of these were pretty delicious except the slushees tasted pretty strong, I would get it without alcohol next time. On my return, I tried the khao soi and pork wontons. The wontons were very yummy but as it cooled down, the pork started tasting very smelly. As for the khao soi, I was quite disappointed. I wanted the tofu but the waiter didn't ask what protein I wanted so it slipped my mind. The chicken was tender in some parts but mostly very dry. The portions were great in terms of noodles and protein but there was just so much of it that it felt too heavy with the soup, with barely any red onion and greens to balance it out.

Yelp
Came here with a friend yesterday for lunch and ordered a bha mee hang bowl, phad ka prao, and fish sauce wings. The prices were pretty reasonable (and the phad ka prao included rice with the meat!!), delicious, and beautifully presented. Service was also quick and friendly, and the restaurant is a lot bigger inside than it looks! I also loved the decor and interior design, and felt very satisfied with the quality of the meal. Overall, this restaurant impressed me with the fast wait time, good price/food proportion, and wonderful service. I look forward to coming back when I'm in the area!

Yelp
I was hyped about this place because the menu sounded good and it would be a good alternative place to go for Kin Len, which is always busy. Honestly, 2-3 star and rounding up since its brand new and from the same owner as Kin Len. The first time I went to Kin Len I wasn't amazed, but since after covid it's been really good. I actually see a review of someone who ordered the same dishes as me and had the same disappointment. Beautiful big brand new space and the service was good. It's not busy yet as it's new. The owners mom was there even working so I know they are trying. The tom yum hot pot soup was salty and didn't have any greens whatsoever. It could have used some type of veggie to balance out the fattiness of the pork in the soup. We asked for cilantro and they were happy to provide it, but it needed something else too. It wasn't very balanced and felt super fatty. We also got the wok fired rad na, but it was more like limp and oily from being battered-not good. The sauce/gravy had no flavor compared to the one at Kin Lenn that comes with fried noodles and wide noodles. This dish in general is a skip or need a huge overhaul. The last dish we got was the sizzling plate steak, but the plate didn't sizzle at all. When you think sizzling plate you think of smoke like if you order fajitas from a Mexican restaurant and it didn't come out hot at all. Just overall lots of misses and not much flavor. We didn't really leave the meal being satisfied or wanting to come. We actually were glad we didn't order anything else. I think for now they should tighten the menu and focus on flavors as the menu is huge and I am honestly not sure what's really good here. I think they're still figuring things out, but I probably won't go back for awhile.

Yelp
Randomly decided to try this place on a random Tuesday night and found out they were opened up by the same owners of Isarn and Kin Len. It was really busy even at 730PM. We had the Thai Pandan Leaf Chicken, the Sugar Cane wrapped prawns, and the Dungeoness crab, crispy pork belly, BBQ pork, soft-boiled egg Bha Mee Hang. The pandan leaf chicken was supposed to be fried according to the description, but it didn't taste fried. It tasted more...steamed? It was juicy, don't get me wrong, but was just confused by the description. The sauce that it came with was a sticky texture that was sweet. The sugar cane wrapped prawns itself were good, but the fish sauce was too spicy to enjoy the salad. I think the most disappointing dish for me was the Bha Mee Hang. I'm not sure if they rushed the dish because they had taken my dish to someone else and consequently forgot about mine until I asked about it, but all the ingredients in the dish were very dry. The dungeoness crab meat was a bit fishy and definitely not worth the price. The crispy pork belly was overcooked and honestly didn't have any flavor. The only things that were good in the dish were the wontons and when I got to the bottom where all the sauce was. Maybe it was just missing more sauce? All in all, they weren't all that apologetic about forgetting my dish and didn't offer anything in return for the inconvenience. I think I would come back and give it another shot to try some of the other dishes, but so far I'm not impressed.

Yelp
A new Thai and Chinese influence restaurant in Greenlake! The interior design is beautiful as it takes you back to Thailand. This restaurant is the same owners as Isarn and Kin Len, so we had high expectations. We tried both the Tom Yum Moo and Crab Curry Noodle Wrap. Both were filled with flavor and ingredients. I do wish they could ask for spicy level here as it was slightly too spicy for me to eat at times. The service was great as they explain each dish we had a questions about as well as gave us recommendations. Parking is limited to street parking.

Yelp
This restaurant has a fun atmosphere and extensive menu. Overall, I would come back to try other dishes on their menu! Would also recommend coming during happy hour to try some dishes on a discount. (HH) Fish sauce wings (5/5) perfectly crispy, flavorful, and not too salty (usually my biggest critique with fish sauce wings). One of my favorite dishes we ordered (HH) Crispy calamari salad (4/5) definitely order the calamari with salad - salad adds a perfect balance with the fried calamari. Calamari is nice and crispy. Otherwise nothing too special in terms of flavor Pad see ew (5/5) was perfectly cooked and I love their thick wide noodles. Mama Tom Yum (2/5) kind of salty. Didn't have that sour/sweet tom yum taste New York steak curry rice (3/4) interesting to try but nothing special. Curry was kind of salty and could have had more curry flavor. Overall, there were dishes we really liked and dishes that were just okay. Would come back again to try other dishes :)

Yelp
This place has amazing value if you go during happy hour! The khao soi was our favorite, followed by the wings, calamari and beef noodles. There was a lot of depth in flavor for the first two dishes. The salad that came with the calamari had an interesting egg yolk dressing that paired very well with the pineapple and batter of the calamari. The beef noodles were a tad heavy on the five spice but nonetheless provided great value. Undoubtedly would come here again!

Yelp
It's located in the Greenlake plaza where PCC is located. Street parking and PCC offers 90 mins free validated parking All dishes come with nice presentation and plating. My favorite is hoi jo appetizer, a must try!! The char siu and pork belly in the ba me hang taste average. And the wonton a slightly soggy. But overall, it's not bad. I'm not a big fan of the coconut based curry, but that's just my own preference. I would say curry is pretty good compared to other Thai places.

Yelp
Service & ambiance 10/10; very bold food flavors. Everything came out fresh and piping hot ! Crab rangoons are crunchy and delicious; sauce that it comes with isn't just the basic sweet and sour. Would order every time ! Duck egg rolls came with the same sauce and also had a variety of spices. Garlicky noodles with tofu tastes a lot like the Filipino dish pansit to me but less of a soy sauce flavor. Wish it had more of a garlic taste. I'm biased because I love a good hot pot ! Not a traditional sweet sukiyaki broth (food is Chinese / Thai not Japanese). With that said, Broth was very tasty on its own (which we got to take home & im excited to eat again). The flavor changed drastically with each veg and with the side sauce for the meat (not pictured). Dessert kept the ice cream ice cold even though it was fried - which is a first for me; in my experience, fried ice cream typically melts as soon as you cut into it. I don't know how they did it ! Combo of coconut and pineapple was a great summer treat :)) Staff is awesome - very friendly and interactive. The restaurant itself is gorgeous. The walls are a sight to see. Can't wait to come back !

Yelp
We ordered the flaming tom yum with tiger prawns, spicy yum beef salad, and the spicy pork jowl yum style noodles. The server didn't ask what spice levels we wanted which is fine but I normally like my dishes on the spicier side. The tom yum was not my favorite, it is a bit more rich than what I'm used to. The yum style noodles were good, but could use some more spice. I also tried the Lamun-Lamai Gentle & Sweet cocktail. It was delicious! I love anything pandan. Unfortunately, we were so full by the end of the meal that we couldn't fit dessert in, so hopefully I can try it next time!

Yelp
I had such high hopes for this spot as I love Kin len and Isarn, I do understand they're in their soft opening so I will go back to try it again but I wasn't impressed when I went. Overall the spot and decor are very great, love its spot in greenlake and PCC parking was right below so I was able to just validate parking for super cheap. Service was very nice and friendly and talked about the new restaurant compared to their others --- I am curious on how this restaurant is supposed to be different than kin len and Isarn Thai. To me, it's maybe more casual? I just felt like the food wasn't as good even though I've had the equivalent of those dishes at their other restaurants. My cousin was so excited to try the rad na bc she loves the one at kin len, and we all didn't care for the one we got. I understood that you have to pour the sauce/gravy on the noodles but I just didn't feel like I could get the sauce on the noodles flavoring right. I felt like the noodles by themselves had very differing flavors where some were very crispy and some bites were very limpy and idk I felt like I was waiting for the noodles to soak up the sauce. The tom yum was pretty salty so you def need a rice or something to eat with it, it comes with like 4 big shrimps with the heads for all the seafood and just not my favorite bc it's a lot of work and I guess I thought there'd be more seafood in there or something. Besides that not bad. The kra pow was just not very flavorful I feel and the waiter asked what we thought and we said as much, a very very mid kra pow and I was pretty disappointed -- not bad but def not good. The thai slushie was fine but I feel like a little too watery and icy, wanted it more creamy Overall I'll go again but I will say I was pretty disappointed, possibly bc my hopes were high but I went to kin len later in the week and confirmed the food at kin len is way better.

Yelp
I'm Thai, and I'm glad to see a new authentic and unique Thai restaurant in the area with reasonable prices. It's from the same owner as Isarn Thai Soul and Kin Len, so if you like those, you'll probably enjoy this place too. Nice decoration and a big space. We came before noon on Saturday and were able to get a big table for our group. My favorites were the Mama Tom Yam Hotpot, Mama Pad Prik Pao, and Sangkhaya Bai Toey for dessert. The menu has a lot more I want to try, so I'll definitely be back. Service was good and very attentive.

Yelp
great first experience at gao lhao! ive been to kin len before and i think i prefer this more. the ambience was soooo cute and aesthetic! service was really friendly, and food came out in five minutes?? crazy fast! my friend and i shared the lychee cocktail to share which was super refreshing and had a nice creamy foam on top; not too strong on the alcohol. i got the khao soi which was a hugeeee portion. it tastes so much like vietnamese chicken curry which i love. i really enjoyed the crunchy bits on top, and they really load it with chicken, which was super juicy and tender. my friend ordered the pork bha mee hang; i only tasted the noodles but the sauce was quite good with it! overall a great place to dine if you're in greenwood.

Yelp
If you like Kin Len, you'll like this spot! Created by the same owners of the Thai street food spot in Fremont. Everything we ordered was amazing-- esp loved the crab curry dish.

Yelp
Everything was super tasty. The server was very patient with us. The restaurant was really cute. Casual but also Bangkok decor and vibes. Even how the food was served was really thoughtful. They have GF and vegan options especially among the appetizers and lots of vegetarian options for the mains.
