15 Great Bars With Activities

"Garage is ideal for when you want to go somewhere with a small group and stay put, since there’s a lot of ground to cover: this place has 20 bowling lanes, 20 pool tables, and six different bars. Most importantly, it’s adults-only, so you won’t find any elementary school birthday parties with children shrieking like pterodactyls here. Just make sure to reserve your lanes and billiard tables in advance." - aimee rizzo

Where To Go Out In Seattle When You’re Not Drinking

"Garage doesn’t have fancy mocktails—if you’re here and sober, chances are you’ll be drinking a Shirley Temple out of a slightly-chipped pint glass. But this is a bar with a bowling alley, and a few hours here is exciting no matter what you’re drinking. Knock over some pins, eat some garlic fries drizzled with lemon aioli, and maybe crack a couple The Big Lebowski jokes." - aimee rizzo

Google
Kinda pricey but loads of options. There is bowling, pool tables, arcade, bar, and they have food. Plenty of room for big groups or small. Worth checking out if you want a fun night out.

Google
Decent bowling place. It would not disappoint. Not the best. Ambience: 3.5/5 (Very old) Equipment : 3.5/5 (Very old) Location: 4/5 (Close to Seattle downtown) Food was surprisingly good. The hummus dips were great. Must try. Chicken pizza was very tasty. Veg rolls were nice. Chicken on the stick was not well cooked.

I've been meaning to come here for 9 years, and I'm glad I finally stopped in today! My boyfriend and I just came for food and drinks, but we had a great time. Everything was delicious, the portion sizes were satisfying, and the staff were kind and attentive. Great music playing, too. I hope to come back before another 9 years have passed, lol. 😁

Google
I’ve been bowling here twice. I enjoy the fact that they have food, drinks, bowling, billiards, and games in the same place. Overall, I think it’s a good place to hang out with the your friends, however I don’t like the fact that they won’t even let you bring a water bottle in and the bowling balls are SO GREASY! I’ve never been to a bowling place where the lanes and bowling balls are that greasy. For that reason alone, I will not be going back.

Google
Hannah was the best! She made our suprise party amazing, 10/10 service on her end!! Food was good, little pricey for the serving size. Also thought it was a bit expensive I think around 500 for 10-12 poeple to rent two lanes with 4 shoes that had to be prepaid for. Wouldn't reserve again would just try to walk in but had a great time nonetheless!!!

Google
I visited this venue a couple of times for team events, which included bowling, pool, and food and drink tickets. Our overall experience was enjoyable. While the ambiance and food were just average, the bowling experience stood out as a highlight. Since I didn't cover the expenses myself, I can't comment on their pricing, but if you're looking for a fun time bowling, I would recommend giving this place a try.

Google
Fun experience here at a work event. Good food. Fast drinks. Polite service. Felt safe in the area. Great spot.

Love this place for playing pool or bowling. Pool is by the hour, good beers on tap, and good bowling food!

Yelp
I always have a good time here. I've come with coworkers, family and friends so far and it's always a hit. You can choose from arcade games, bowling, pool, and jenga. They have the usual bar type foods: wings, nachos, etc. I enjoy the cocktails, they're pretty fun but most people could probably use an extra shot in them . Nonetheless, I always enjoy one or two. Service is always friendly and efficient.

Yelp
Prior to visiting here ( per a local's recommendation ) around ~9:45pm on a Wednesday night, my girlfriend and I had walked in to inquire if they reserved lanes ahead of time as we explained our understanding that happy hour bowling would be starting around the time we finished drinking at the neighboring bar. The young lady at the front desk repeated our question back to us in a condescending way as if we were foolish to ask such a question, ultimately concluding the conversation by saying "I'm not sure what it is you're asking. If you want to come bowl after you're done next door it's first come first serve." After finishing our drinks and having ourselves a round of bowling, the same young lady rung up up to pay and, as if a light switch, became the most bubbly person within a 5 mile radius, proceeding to ask us how our visit has been to Seattle and laughing at our declarative statements back. A rather unpleasant experience this was.

Yelp
Came here for a work bonding party on a Monday afternoon. This place is 21+ only and the first thing they do when you arrive is check your ID. They're also strict about no outside food and drinks. For 15 of us, 2 hours of bowling across 3 lanes, 2 drink tickets that included beer and wine, and an unlimited fajita bar, the cost was $1100. Our time started at 3 PM but we arrived a bit late. But we were able to quickly get our bowling shoes, and set up our games at our lanes and get to bowling! The workers disseminated our drink tickets and also set up the fajita bar. So the positives. The people serving us were incredibly nice and attentive. The fajita bar was smaller, but they had plenty of food for us (and we may have all pre eaten at salt and straw down the street). But the chicken was actually really well cooked and flavorful, so I was overall pleasantly surprised by the option! They also got peoples drinks very quickly. Soda was included for people who weren't into beer or wine. Because there were hard seltzers on the beer and wine menu, I asked it it was included but was told no. The worker did come back and offered to put syrup in carbonated water for me but I politely passed. The less great part comes from the bowling. In one of the lanes, the ball got stuck in the gutter in the middle of the lane 3 times. So someone had to be called or we had to wait for the ball to come back to us slowly. In another of the lanes, towards the 9th or 10th frame of each game, the pins just failed to reset and we had to wait as we watched someone manually reset the pins. This was mildly concerning just because we could only see the persons hands (they were behind the lane?) but there was no warning this was happening on our end, so it could have been mildly dangerous for them had we not been paying attention. And lastly, though we paid for two hours, they shut off our bowling around 4:50. Which, even with our correct booking time, is shorter than what we paid for. And especially with the steep price and the other issues with the lanes, seems questionable. Overall, if you're really into bowling, there are surely better places around for that. If you're coming to relax and spend time with people, then maybe it's worth it, especially if you take advantage of the pool tables or the games off to the side, which some people in my group did later in the evening.

Yelp
Pretty solid sweet chili sauce with fries. Everything is self service which is good when playing at the arcade. Ambiance is great the music is a little loud though.

Yelp
I went bowling on a weekday around 9 PM without a reservation and there were still a couple lanes available. I will say though, they didn't have more than 8 lanes, so if you want to pull up on a weekend, you should probably try to call ahead. There's limited street parking available outside, but I definitely wouldn't count on it. We opted for the unlimited bowling, which pays for itself after 2 games. It ended up being 24 bucks including shoes and everything felt clean. Only critique of the bowling was the animations could have been more unhinged. I didn't try any of the food, but I did order the 22 oz cocktails and THEY ARE DELICIOUS. Maybe not the most, most boozy, but both the Boozy Blue Long Island and the Berried Alive Lemonade were scrumptious and even after sharing them across 90-ish minutes, I was definitely buzzed. Overall, good vibes and good times if you're in the area.

Yelp
This place basically have everything you can think of for fun! Bowling, billiards, ping pong, arcade and food! (probably there are more that I haven't noticed!) A perfect place for team event or just hanging out with friends. I would recommend getting reservations because this place is busy. I came here with 6 friend together on a Wednesday evening at 8:30pm and there are many bowling lanes were taken by team events or family (so reserve before you go!). The garage has two floors and I think they at least have 10 bowling lanes. Drinks and food can be easily ordered through the tablet next to the couch and the server brings over the food/drinks to you. We played bowling for two hours, then we played arcade. They have pinball, Mario cart, piu dance and more! We had so much fun here and we definitely will come back again! All the staff members I encountered that night was very helpful and nice.
google avatar

Yelp
We came for the bowling and had a great time. It was about a 90 min wait for one lane and 5 people. We walked to one of the many breweries nearby for a drink while we waited. They have food and drinks. You can order from the staff that come by or the screen. The bowling was very fun. Great setup and good service. They have a bar/restaurant and pool tables in the space attached. We'll definitely be back.

Yelp
A place to play pool or bowl for 21+ only! It's THE place for entertainment in Capitol Hill at reasonable prices. Its a HUGE place and they have seating areas if you just want to get food too. Staff was really friendly and they keep the place pretty clean. My only comment is that it's busy literally all times of the day, every day of the week. A good place for a party but not if you value your personal space.

Shraddha Dwivedi ..

Yelp
We went bowling here and booked online, paying in advance. Upon arrival, the manager informed us that we would receive a 20% discount on food and drinks if we used the same card for ordering. I did so, but the bill I received via email was incorrect. I ordered 2 French fries, 1 loaded nachos without meat, and 2 beers, but I was charged for 2 loaded nachos, 4 fries, and 2 beers. The total for the items billed should have been around $41, but I was charged $57.32. This discrepancy is unacceptable. I raised a complaint, but nothing has been resolved. I do not recommend this place, and advise you to double-check your bill if you go.

Yelp
I didn't realize that this was essentially a Bowlero but with styled in a much cooler way than most. The vibes were good and the service was nice here.

Yelp
Oh what this place used to be. When I first moved here, Garage was my go-to place for playing pool. It was a great spot for a solo outing, a sweet date, or to hang with a group of friends. But recently, it has molded itself into the tech team-building event space that I couldn't have seen coming. This comes with its faults for its regulars as pricing has increased, wait time has lengthened thus service has become hasty (which could be a pro, sure, but con in lack of personable interactions). The music playlist is lackluster and dull, kinda comparable to "mall music." Overall, still such a cool spot to visit midday to play some pool or go bowling, but would bring headphones and head to the doors once the jacket-vest-backpack/briefcasers start herding in. Thanks y'all!

Yelp
We decided to go bowling at this place and the entrance was a little confusing LOL. We first got a few drinks and shots outside in the bar area. I think I tried the Boarding Pass, which is Bacardi coconut rum, watermelon infusion, pineapple juice, and lemon-lime soda. Their drinks are strong and this one came in a cute mason mug. The wait for bowling was too long, so we decided to shoot pool instead. There was a little wait, but it wasn't too bad. This place was really fun and there were lots of people there. Great place if you're looking for something fun to do, besides hanging out at a bar.

Yelp
Didn't come here for the food but it was a great place to meet up with friends and play pool! It's actually quite a huge space with the outdoor area, pool area, arcade, and even bowling area. We did come around rush and had to wait for a table but honestly 30 mins is no time at all as you explore this place. We came right as the newly renovated arcade was open and I loved the basketball game they had. It's easy to swipe your points but it's a great way to pass the time or if you just want to grab drinks have a bar in the area as well. They don't have the most selection in drinks but you can get your pitchers of standard beer. Overall, the price point per hour wasn't bad at all. I think it ~$20ish. The only thing and why I docked a star was the proximity of other tables to you. Sometimes we found ourselves overlapping with the other tables.

Yelp
Occasion Came here for fun date night. This place is great for a group of friends to hang out and play pool or bowling. You need to put your name down in advance though esp on a busy Friday night. They have an upstairs karaoke bar. Games They have an arcade center with pinball machines, a punch machine, halo driving thingy. Service They are friendly and helpful.

Yelp
As promised, 5 stars. Thank you for creating a better environment and vibe. This place is amazing!
google avatar

Tahni H.

Yelp
Long waits for over priced, crappy bowling lanes. Decent food, Cheap beer, love the pool. You can play pool while u wait for your lane to come up, buts it's going to cost u! They also have some giant board games upstairs.

Christina J.

Yelp
This place is a lot of fun, and the staff are great! I'm leaving 3 stars though because two people in my party got food poisoning from their chicken nachos. Overall, I'd still probably go back, but would eat at a nearby restaurant beforehand.
google avatar

Roger D.

Yelp
Solid place to bowl at and/or break out Lucille with countless billiards tables! Came here right after grubbing at 8oz Burger across the street, but I honestly wouldn't have minded enjoying pitchers of beer here before getting those drunk munchies. The bowling line was long & I imagine it usually is, but next time I'll have some turkeys ready for them.
google avatar

Yelp
This place keeps getting worse and worse. The food here is absolutely disgusting and overpriced. Save your money and eat before/after you arrive.
google avatar

Yelp
The bartender at the outside bar has terrible customer service (no name tag But red hair mad face). Waited in line forever for a drink and she kept taking orders from people that skipped the line and went to the other end of the bar. The wine was the most ridiculous pour ever...so I asked for two- she spas "we can't do a double wine." This is the glass after 2 small sips...I kid you not ...the guys sitting at the bar were laughing at the swallow of wine. Big thumbs down. Went to the inside bar and got a regular pour from the nice male bartender. This was his pour- I changed my review to 3 stars because of Calvin!

Teddy B.

Yelp
Friends and I hung out here again for a birthday. There's options for things to do but we mostly bowled and sang some karaoke. Fun!
google avatar

J T.

Yelp
Delayed review. Went here for a bachelorette party.. staff was excellent.! Food was good, drinks were great! Arcade games were a huge bonus! Place is fun for bigger groups!

Deepika T.

Yelp
Totally worth it - especially if want to munch while waiting for your turn. I didn't expect their appetisers to be so good.
google avatar

Adrian B.

Yelp
Big place, little crowded, pool and bowling and even shuffleboard. They also have pinball machines (boyfriend loves these, I can't get into it, lol). Sometimes there's a wait to bowl (which is odd since a couple times there were a lot of lanes open, I'm not sure why we waited). They have a fairly good drink selection if you're waiting. It can get a little expensive here though, one of the pricier bowling alleys around. If you come on the weekend, get here early as it gets crowded. But yeah, nice place, it's just really expensive to bowl. If we're around and it's not too crowded we come in but because of the price don't just come here exclusively.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Garage was open. I have had so many great nights here with my friends before the pandemic hit. Garage has plenty of pool tables open, and another room with bowling lanes, as well as another room with just a bar and open area to hang out. I am so happy Garage is open and they are making it extremely safe for everyone! Everything is spaced out well and it's great to have a place to hangout again that's not just in front of my TV! I do suggest coming a little earlier since on the weekends they can fill up pretty quick!

Harvey B.

Yelp
This is by far, the best place to have fun! Every employee that I get to have an interaction with are always more than willing to assist. The snacks and drinks are great and well served but Im kind of biased to its retro feels :)) I really do enjoy the classic arcade while pairing it with lights that gave the same vibe. This will always be a 10 for me!
google avatar

Evie W.

Yelp
This place is doing everything it can to not make money. Every single bowling lane was open, every single pool table unused and they said we had to wait. 90 min later and we still weren't bowling and this was on a Friday afternoon. It could be such a great place if they were properly managing their site.

Scott C.

Yelp
When we came in the pricing on the monitor said $7 per game. When closing the tab I was charged almost $13 per game. The person behind the counter didn't honor the original listed price and tried to tell me that the rate has been the same all day. I enjoy bowling but $50 for 3 games is pretty crazy. Honestly, I would be content with the experience if they were just up front about the pricing instead of listing it at $7 then switching up. Can't blame them, Seattle rent must be crazy, but it's too bad they must resort to scamming.
google avatar

Yelp
So, we had our wedding reception here 9 years ago. It was amazing. But we came back today for our anniversary and my husband's birthday. We played several rounds of bowling and pool. Thao was amazing for us. They made sure our drinks were filled and we were happy the whole time. We always appreciate the chill vibe and attentive service at the Garage. Couldn't ask for a better start to an anniversary date.
google avatar

Alexander K.

Yelp
First time coming back here since Summer 2019 when I used to work in DT Seattle but came here earlier with two friends. I had a blast time getting to bowl and feel energized with my friends while sipping on delicious watermelon guzzler drink off the menu plus it was happy hour. Overall, I definitely will come back here if I bring more group of friends since group of 3 playing 3 games is quite pricey but still had fun though.
google avatar

Yelp
Had a great time bowling with friends a few weeks ago! This place is much larger than I anticipated because it handles one whole section for pool, another two rooms for bowling, a patio area and multiple bars. Make sure you get the bowling with drink tickets if you plan on drinking more than 1 drink - will save you money in the long run. There is a parking garage right next to this place or you can find street parking if you are willing to walk. Recommendation to the business: make pricing easier to find on the website!

Leyla H.

Yelp
Jay at the front made this experience so lovely! Was celebrating my friends 21st birthday and they made it so special for us and we're just incredibly sweet :)
google avatar

Rachel K.

Yelp
3.5/5 Listen, I love it here and I think it's super fun, but the pricing is CRAZY. We spent $70 to bowl a single game . . . growing up, we paid like $8. There is also always a decently long wait for bowling, we've been there multiple times but only bowled once cuz we didn't want to wait hours for a lane. The good news is that they have billiards! It's still pretty pricey, but at least it's not $70 (if I'm remembering correctly, I think it was around $30?). They also have games like jenga and connect-4. The staff has always been nice and helpful whenever we come in. The bartender was really friendly and made me the perfect redbull vodka. 5/5 perfect place to get drunk and play pool, 1/5 place for a cheap bowling sesh.
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing time when I was in Seattle! Went for bowling and it was satisfying. They had multiple lanes and good bar menu. Gave me kind of college vibes. Good place to lounge and have fun. Ohh and they got karaoke.

Yelp
This isn't your ordinary garage! And yeah I'm not talking about your friends Kyle garage/mancave/apartment becausehecantgethislifetogehersolivesathismomsandcallsitcool/chill place! No platypus! This place is an awesome place! "Why?" Good question random apparitions in my room on a dark night! So grab your childhood band and let's talk about the garage! Atmosphere: She a big girl! And not in a bad way. I'm talking about *puts tongue to front teeth for dramatic effect* "thicc!" Moving on! (What if I just left it like that? As the reader you'd be puzzled but for me I'd sleep knowing I confused someone in a weird way where a building is thick. And to that my heart warms up inside. Lol) What I mean by thicc is that the building is huge! And in a good way! With bowling alley section, a bar, your standard bar games, another bar outside, patio, and billiards section! It's hard not to get lost in here. It is by far a must stop for dates, hang outs, hamster judgement, drinks, and food! The only downside is that the bathrooms are... horrendous.. it smells like well number one had a personal fabreeze scent and it was sprayed every hour. (It was a hard negotiation but after months of disagreements the "cascade yellow" scent was on the shelves.) it's a high turn over so I get it.. but still.. ewww. lol Customer Service: To get help, you have to go and ask for help. There are people cleaning tables and making sure stuff doesn't get out of hand and messy. It's pretty straight forward service. Kinda like a raccoon and possum having a friends with benefits agreement strictly. (It works out at the end and they end up staying for a year together, to finally have the possum propose to the raccoon. News flash... she said.. yes. A wedding of a match made in heaven.) Food/Drinks/Entertainment: They have bar food but by the great fist of Kratos! It's almost as potent as Pandora's box against the gods!!! (Uhhh did I lose half of your attention?) *cough* I mean: "The food was very yummy" drinks are the standard bar drinks. ( I keep using that "bar" thing. Lol. I'll change it up) But with like Seattle things the price does go up but welcome to reality again. A price to pay for atmosphere I guess. (Get it? Lol. I crack myself up. AND ONLY MYSELF. O.O)with so many ba-- *cough* bad-ace activities to do in here, it's sure to make time by go fast. With a very friendly environment, it's worth it! Conclusion: I highly doubt you guys read all that... I'm looking at you Sam!! *stares awkwardly into a crowd of faces for ten minutes to only figure out Sam is sick that day* whoops lol well to you good squirrels! Thank you for reading this. ._. With decent drinks, great bar activity games to play and good customer Service. I'd say this place is a great pit stop to kill sometime with friends.

Yelp
Went on a vacay to Seattle and looked up some places that had pool tables that were near our Airbnb, and Garage popped up. Wow I did not expect this place to be so dang big lol. There was not only a bunch of pool tables, but bowling lanes as well as games like a big Connect 4. We got a pool table which was only $7/hr which was pretty cheap, but that's also because we came during the day on Wednesday. The bartender was also one of the nicest bartenders I ever came across. I think his name was Jason? I was hesitant what drink to order, but he let me know that they were having an all day Blue Moon special where you get a big mug for only $5. We also ordered nachos which we all thought tasted delicious and we even had ordered it w/o any meat too. Definitely will be coming back the next time I come visit Seattle!

Yelp
Standard bar-food fare and good cocktails! Can't complain about much. Next time I'll plan ahead to do some bowling.
google avatar

Darrion H.

Yelp
Sometimes it's busy and hard to maneuver and always expensive, I can't say that I haven't had a good time on each visit. I will admit, covid has made it a little more difficult to maneuver, but I was able to look past that since almost every places is dealing with this. Their lanes aren't exactly the best spacing and their pool tables aren't any better, but it's all there to enjoy. I personally really like the separation of spaces both indoors and their outdoor patio area that I pretty much never use but probably should. I won't lie tho, the place would benefit from a slight bit more game offerings like beer pong and bocce, but hey, it is what it is.

Yelp
If you want to go broke to play some bowling then this is the spot. $70 to bowl for one hour with two people. $70!!! Not worth it. Go somewhere else to bowl on the weekend.

Rhianee C.

Yelp
Pretty cool place! Had just about everything: bar, pool, food etc. I was confused because I was there with 1 other person, and bowled 2 games, and I guess their price is PER person PER game. So rather than normal bowling alleys where we would pay for 2 games and the shoe rental, we were charged for 4 games, and were told "that's 2 games each" that was played by myself and the other individual. Confused and feel finessed but place is cool otherwise

Anonymous R.

Yelp
Great, fun hangout spot! Quick service and the staff was very nice. Will go back again for sure!

Gwen G.

Yelp
Great place to have fun with friends. They serve good food and cocktails. We had a great time and definitely will come back again

Yelp
Good good, great bowling and pool. Would definitely go back. Also tipped due to good service

Yelp
Great late night bowling! Fun to go with friends and have a drink while bowling. Honestly a great setting for a celebration or just a night out. They had good drinks and food, mostly bar food. I want to give a shout out to Angela our waitress, she was so fun and sweet, thank you!
google avatar

Brian F.

Yelp
We came on a Friday night and had to wait while for a lane so we decided to hang out around until then. Luckily they gave us a buzzer to let us know when our lane was available. They have really good happy hour deals which is a lot cheaper than their non-happy hour prices. It was $30/hour per lane but during happy hour it's only $12/hour with shoe rentals at $4. There are two floors of bowling and in addition there is a giant pool hall as well as shuffleboard. So the top floor and bottom floor both have bars which is convenient. But the bottom bar charged me slightly more for the same drink as the top bar did? I wasn't going to argue for 20 cents but it's weird how that works. The well drinks were about $7. This is a really cool place to hang out and socialize while bowling. I'd definitely recommend coming here during happy hour so you can take advantage of the (much) cheaper prices.
google avatar

Yelp
It's a little on the pricey side for food/drinks but it is Seattle and I'm sure their hands are tied. There's a parking garage next door making it easy to find parking. When you step in it might feel like a lot at once but they have a desk at the front so someone can help you. The vibe is amazing along with every who goes there are also chill and inviting.

Yelp
I've been here a couple of times now. This is a popular hangout for locals and for good reason. The Garage offers a vintage environment for bowling, pool, shuffleboard and more. They have bowling lanes at street level as well as downstairs. The beer selection is good but from what I remember they don't have a lot of taps. They make great cocktails and also have a variety of tasty wines. Theres a fire pit and seating area outside but it's never been lit while I've been here. It looks like a cozy place to enjoy a drink so I hope it's available when you stop in! The space is good for groups and also has private space downstairs for events. The garage is sure to have something for everyone.
