Garrett Popcorn Shops

After watching a few videos of place to go in Chicago this one came up a lot. I really enjoyed watching how the popcorn was made with so much love. I was expecting a long line and was pleasantly surprised when it was a short line. I wish I could describe the amazing delicious smells before you even walk in. The location was clean and staff were super friendly. No public restroom here. The cheese popcorn and caramel crunch and so delicious 😋 we bought them separately and mixed them ourselves. We stored them in ziplocks to stay fresh which it did for three days. It might have lasted longer but I ate it because it was so yummy. Ten out of ten 1000% recommend stopping by any of their locations for the best popcorn ever. I heard you can have it shipped but that popcorn might have preservatives. The fresh made spoils fast because there are no preservatives. Can’t wait for my daughter to go back and send me some overnight from the shop. The cheese popcorn is so fresh cheesy and delicious. Warning: you may get cheese fingers but it’s worth it. MUST TRY!!

It's an absolute delight whenever I visit Chicago to pop into a Garrett store with the iconic blue stripes and try some popcorn. I enjoy the caramel corn, but if you like cheese the cheesy one or the Garrett mix is great. At times the store is really busy with a line weaving in the store and continuing outside but it moves fairly fast. Last time I visited there was only one or two groups ahead of us so it was super quick!

17h29, Monday 4 November. 4 employees working, no one in the queue, shelfs full of popcorn but was unable to buy anything . Was advised they can't sell anything for 20 minutes and sent me off. The 2 stars go for the nice store presentation..

Went around 4pm on Saturday and waited in line for 15 minutes or so. The line moves faster than you’d expect. We got the Garrett mix with cheese and caramel and it was pretty good! The caramel was my favorite but mixing the sweet and savory was definitely good. If I came back and had to choose the flavor I’d definitely choose just the caramel but overall solid experience.

A friend of mine recommended me to go to Garrett popcorn and order the special mix, even though the mix sounded a little crazy because of it spicy and sweet, of course, I said yes! It was the best popcorn I have had in my life, with all the respect to everyone else that makes popcorn. I just wish I could have more and more and more. The service was wonderful and what I loved about the popcorn is that, believe it or not, my hands were not sticky, it didn’t stick on my teeth either, and it was so crispy.

I just went to Garrett's water Tower location. I live in St Louis whenever I come to Chicago I look forward to going to garrett. Normally the crew at the water tower location is very friendly this time the employee the female employee that work there though she hated to be there. She was not friendly she did not smile she acted like she was mad at the world. And this is the thing this is the Tourist location so I was totally turned off. So the rating is not for the popcorn but for the lack of interest from the employee she acted as though she could care less if a customer was there or not. Bad vibes

You haven't lived until you try Garrett's OG "Chicago Mix" (mix of caramel popcorn and cheese popcorn). Nothing compares to the fresh-made mix from Garrett. And don't try to buy the fu-fu stuff you see in bags at the airports and markets. Garrett is the one and only. Prepare to wait in line if you visit one of their downtown locations on a weekend.

After detecting the pleasant aroma, we found the fragrance too alluring, and warm popcorn on a frigidly cold day was too irresistible that we inevitably make the spontaneous decision to must come back here. I was so surprised watching the line of customers, which I believed consisted of at least more than 40 people, standing outside of the store on a Saturday afternoon. A very famous place in Chicago, I supposed. Thus, to avoid the busy time, we visited the store at around 7:30 p.m as there was not a single line and we were the only customers at that moment. For the popcorn, I would say it was the best my friends, and I have ever tried. There were various flavors: Cheese, Plain, Chocolate, Buttery, and Caramel w/ Pecans or Cashews or Almonds. The corn was crisp, of very high quality, and thick texture. I personally think the best flavor here, which was not too sweet but flavorful, was Caramel w/ Nuts. Just dulcet and delectable.
