"Taking over the family business was definitely the right decision! Since 2007, chef Hans Häge has been at the helm of this place that used to be run by his parents. He uses select ingredients to produce classic seasonal cuisine with a modern twist. In the evenings, there is a choice of different set menus. The reasonably priced three- or four-course lunch is especially popular. Classics such as Maultaschen in broth and Zwiebelrostbraten (fried beef and onions in gravy) can be ordered à la carte. Diners sit at modern bare wood tables and enjoy great food in an atmosphere that is laid-back and good fun. To the rear you can see Löffelbrunnen Lake – the source is directly under the building. The name Gasthof zum Bad is a reference to the baths that were once housed here. Well-kept guestrooms are also available." - Michelin Inspector

I had a pleasant stay at Hotel Gasthof Zum Bad. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, offering a comfortable environment. Breakfast was decent, though not exceptional. One of the highlights was the excellent on-site parking, which made things very convenient. Overall, I’d rate the hotel 4 out of 5 stars. Would recommend for a short, comfortable stay.

We did NOT feel welcome at this hotel at all. We came as a family of 4 with a little dog and the hotel was stated as a pet friendly hotel. It is NOT pet friendly. The old lady at the check-in was really annoyed and rude to us, because we did not contact them in advance and told them about the dog coming. We have stayed 5 other places in Germany and none of the places needed this information. We have also during this and last summer stayed in Italy, France, Switzerland and Denmark with our little dog. None of the places (all stated as pet friendly) needed this information about a dog coming. Next bad experience about this hotel. We booked for 4 people, but there were only towels for 2. So, I had to use my wife’s wet towel (I first discovered the missing towels after I came out of the shower). My kids 16 and 18 of age also needed to share one towel. Next bad experience. We could not bring the dog for breakfast (all other places we stayed this is no problem). So, my youngest daughter stayed at the room without any breakfast! Next bad experience, I had prepaid for this hotel more than 2 month in advance, but at check-out they tried to charge me for the stay once again. Wow – I was now at bit chocked and confused. I had to look through my bank account and could see the payment from more than 2 month back was just fine. Finally, I ended up paying 20 euro extra for the dog. This is the largest amount I have paid for a one-night stay for a dog. At this point I was somehow not surprised that this hotel would beat this record. What can I say – Don’t go here.

We stayed at the hotel for one night in a family-room. The room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Parking is easy, just outside the hotel. Langenau is a very cosy village close to A7. |Breakfast was included and it was really nice. I can really recommend this hotel for those travelling by, you will have a good nights sleep and there are a good variety of places to have dinner in the village.

This place is a Gem. I have stayed here many times over the years when visiting Germany. Rooms are immaculate and comfortable. Food is gourmet served by a fantastic staff. You won’t be disappointed. Definitely worth a stop off here. Breakfasts are great also.

We had 2 comfort double rooms for one night in August, this is a high standard simple hotel, comfortable beds, sofa's and a very good shower. Breakfast was simple and very tasty, the staff were helpful and attentive. Don't have the blinds and windows open at night as Mosquitos are very plentiful or use a plug in deterrant. All very nice and good value. We visited the local open air swimming pool which is 200m behind the hotel, and is very good. The town itself is all very accessible, with a great ice cream place and a good Italian. We didn't eat in the hotel.

My wife & I stayed at this very nice hotel in Lagenau. Though it a little off the beaten path it turned out to be a gem. The owners Heidi and Hans Hage were very gracious to us. we ate dinner at the hotel and the food was excellent comparable to a good NY restaurant. Rooms were modern and very clean with wireless internet included. We discover a beautiful sauna(health center) in the lower level but did not use it. The breakfast which was included in the room rate was excellent with fresh bread, eggs, meats and fruit. After breakfast we spoke with Heidi and her husband and they were very nice and interesting. I will be going back there next time I go to Germany.

The hotel is centrally located in the heart of Langenau, a small town near Ulm. I have been here a few times now for business.||The rooms in the new wing are very modern, with much light, well maintained and clean. The area is very quiet for an excellent sleep.||The food at the restaurant, if it is open, is very good. The breakfast buffet is very sumptuous.||An additional feature, if you find the time to enjoy it, is the pretty large spa area with the sauna. ||Unfortunately I was not able to link to the free Wifi.||You get a very good value for your money!

Good price/value rooms, new interior, with wellness area. Breakfast has no high end choice, but there is something for everyone. Big plus is the restaurant with a really good kitchen. It offers fine dining, but also smaller stuff for hotel guests.
