The 30 Best Restaurants in Munich, Germany | Eater

"To start the day in true Bavarian style, you’ll need to try a weißwurstfrühstück (white sausage breakfast): Traditionally served until noon, the dish consists of white sausages, sweet mustard, doughy pretzels, and a glass or two of wheat beer. Residents are divided on the best purveyor, but many suggest Gaststätte Großmarkthalle. This Munich institution, found among the buildings at the city’s large wholesale market, makes its own sausages on site and is usually packed to the rafters on weekends. Lederhosen optional." - Kate Mann

Amazing! All the food we order is excellent and the services was so nice!

Solid Weisswürst Frühstück that’s supposedly the best in town but honestly it’s hard to taste the difference versus that of a solid restaurant in the city center (and this one is rather out of the way). Prices are still steep though (35€ for 2) so it’s hard to justify coming here.

The Weißwurst was fantastic, but staff had a typical Munich bad attitude. Took a long time for service from taking our order, bringing drinks, and even longer for the food, although the place was maybe at 30% occupancy. Waitress rolled her eyes when I asked for Leitungswasser for my wife, told the bartender as well, who glanced over to our table and rolled his eyes as well. We still enjoyed the incredibly fresh Brezeln, unfortunately without butter, Händlmayer sweet mustard, and fresh Weißwurst! Just ignore the staff's attitude.

Does feel like a locally famous place, what with the no English menus and matter-of-fact attitude from waitresses. Make sure to make a reservation and show up on time, or you won't get a seat. Every table and time slot is well accounted for there. Get the usual white sausages + pretzel + beer combo, you won't go wrong. Very high quality, very fresh. Won't say it absolutely blew me away, but worth the effort to try some good quality Bavarian breakfast sausages there.

This place is as Bavarian as it gets. Fantastic Weißwürste, and the Kaiserschmarrn is divine.

Excellent Munich restaurant featuring the classic Munich Breakfast: White Sausage, Pretzel, and Bier! It is considered by many the best place for this classic breakfast, and after my visit I can definitely sign my name below that statement! The service was fast and friendly and the Beer garden quite cozy. Would definitely recommend it!

Enjoyed the basket of fresh pretzel bread that was soft on the inside with a crunchy crust. They have a set menu of their famous sausages served with generous sides or order them a la carte to share. Their kalbsleber mit champignon (veal liver with mushroom) served with round crispy hash browns instead of roasted potatoes was delicious. We ended the meal with a tasty dessert of Kaiserschmarrn, which means 'Emperor's Nonsense/Mess' 😂🤣 which was accompanied by a hot plum sauce.

I visited early (ish) on a Saturday morning with a friend ready to tries out the very Bavarian weißwurst! This sausage is traditional eaten before midday since it has no preservatives in it so get down early. I would fully recommend it too! It's never too early for a beer either!! Just a note, it's easier if you pay in cash. PS don't forget to cut the skin off the sausage (see pic)

Yelp
For Weisswurst, this is your place! I've never found better in Bayern. It's clean, the service is just surly enough and like I mentioned, the food (I've never eaten anything but the Weisswurst) is great! There is one major sore point for most people here; it's not open on Sunday. I want breakfast out on Sundays not Saturday. Come on folks, it's almost 2010, open up on Sunday mornings please.

Yelp
Truly the best Weißwürste I've ever had! The Brez'n are also great, the kind that are crispy on the outside but soft on the inside... with enough salt to cover the whole thing. Service was somewhat rude, though, as at most of these traditional German restaurants. So 4 stars instead of 5. Just because the others are like this, doesn't mean you have to be!
