A Federal Labor Complaint Says Starbucks Illegally Closed Stores, Including Three Portland Locations | Eater Portland
"I included the Gateway Shopping Center Starbucks at 10112 NE Halsey Street among the Portland locations named in the NLRB complaint; the regional director is asking that it be reopened and that Starbucks bargain with and compensate workers from the shuttered unionized stores, with an NLRB hearing scheduled for August 20, 2024. Starbucks maintains the closures followed routine business and safety assessments, whereas union supporters contend the company illegally opposed workers’ organizing." - Janey Wong
People are very friendly, I start to work out there about 2 month ago. It’s feel really nice to work out again for long time I have not work out properly l. It’s nice to find this place that gives me including everyone opportunity to work out and notice how people treat each other very respectful. I’m only one that are deaf work out. Hope to make new friends.
Price is kind of pricey though. In men’s changing rooms is very clean it surprises me compare to other gym I was been to. It is really make me more comfortable and relax with everything.

This used to be a packed shopping center to go to. Now as you can see the parking lot is nearly empty on the Kohls entrance side. Ross dress for less is barely reaching a half dozen of people. The restaurants are a little busy keeping in mind this is still during dinner rush. Fred Meyers will be busy as always.

Fred Meyer is closing. The only reason I go the Gateway Shopping Center. This place is dying. Some say it’s the economy others say crime. Either way the homeless encampments and armed guards make it an unfriendly environment and businesses are leaving.

WinCo is great... Best place to buy groceries, excellent deli food and a large variety of quality products at a reasonable price!! As far as the rest of the Gateway stores I have no insight into the product or service provided...

Yuck, such a downer area to shop in. We only go if we absolutely don't have another option. The Fred Meyer feels downright dangerous, and with so many other stores in the complex closing, it's less and less that there's reason to go. We prefer to drive in closer to Hollywood are Montavilla for more savory and pleasant shopping.

Very busy and not enough workers. Customer service only had one guy behind the counter and there were about 15 people in line. My friend and me had to go to a different store to pick up our western union order. I was also here trying to pull out cash from a register stand, there were only 2 lanes open with 10+ people in line so eventually we gave up and waited almost 10 minutes to get to a self checkout stand and we finally made it out of there. Not a great experience at all.
