"Much like that friend of yours who randomly got really into Scandinavian design, Gather keeps things very minimal. It’s a small restaurant at Eastern Market with a short menu, four long communal tables, and almost no decorations to speak of. Also like that same friend, there isn’t much rhyme or reason to the food here, but everything from the roasted root vegetables to the smoked chicken nachos and gnocchi is really good. Come here with a small group to split some plates and have a few boozy slushees." - Sara Barron

This is a gorgeous restaurant, bar, and coffee house. Not only was the restaurant itself beautiful but the atmosphere was pristine as well. My partner and I went during lunch on New Year's Eve and received excellent service, drinks, and food. I even got a chance to meet the owner and his business partner who clearly have a lot of passion and love for what they're doing. All in all, if you're in Dayton, this is certainly worth a stop. My partner got "the gem city" skillet (phenomenal!) and I got the "philly" (also amazing)! I ordered a half sweet vanilla/cinnamon cappuccino which had an appropriate amount of foam and wasn't too hot. Everyone there seemed to be having a good time and even though we were the only people sitting in to eat, we felt welcome. Thanks for being awesome, Gather team, we need more businesses like you in the world.

Do not gather at the Gather unless you want to gaslit. The food was subpar, lukewarm, and over-priced. The hot drinks were lukewarm as well. The service is slow. But the servers were sweet people. And the scenery was beautiful. And the parking is terrible-- on the street. So, you have to find a parking spot.

Great coffee, but not many locations for plugging in to work while enjoying coffee/food. Cute space to sit by front window. Street entrance with street parking. Available restrooms and clean. Vanilla iced latte $7. Great place to hangout with friends!

Heard about this great little place from a family member. Stopped in for a late lunch and wow! Tori the bartender took great care of us, drinks were amazing (we had a black Manhattan and the Vesper martini) both were absolutely delicious. We ordered the Mediterranean bowl, roasted seasonal vegetable sandwich and the Italiano sandwich with a cup of the soup of the day (Tomato bisque). We’re big foodies and recognize the creativity of each dish. I highly recommend checking this place out. Cheers!

Good food but prices are a bit steep at $15 for a sandwich with a handful of potato chips. Offerings are unusual and well done just needs some finesse. This could be a fantastic lunch spot if they did that and if the arcade welcomed some small businesses into its rotunda for interesting things to watch and do. As it is, there is just one other kitchen incubator in the rotonda area which everybody loves to visit. I can't understand why there isn't more of an effort to attract small businesses that would interest shoppers.

After not finding coffee at the convention center we took short walk and found Gather tucked away with an obscure entrance. There is an extreme lack of urgency among the staff. There were three people working and they seemed to be all doing their own thing. Which is ok, but when you have 15 people waiting for coffee, perhaps all of the staff could be helping barista. I.e. prepping cups, etc. it took 30 minutes for the time of order to get our drinks. Also, this place is very nice and elegant. The workers do not seem to necessarily care about how they present themselves. There was one wearing sweat pants and sweat shirt, this doesn’t present the establishment well. We truly loved our coffees. We tried original options from their ‘spring menu’. We enjoyed the phenomenal ambiance sitting under the glass dome courtyard.

Was offered a Gluten Free option for brunch, after receiving the item and taking some bites were told that it may not actually be Gluten Free, then later told it was not Gluten Free. We were offered another option but the staff was unsure and seemed very frazzled at any sort of questions about menu items. A big part of having a restaurant in 2025 is having a staff that is knowledgeable on Vegan, Vegetarian, and Gluten Free items, I appreciate the girl who called the manager but we’re still not even sure that the food we finally ended up getting was in fact Gluten Free. We were not offered a refund, despite consuming food that contained a known allergen. Better indicators on the menu would really help future guests, and help to ensure this problem doesn’t continue to happen.

Gather is a charming cafe located in the heart of Columbus that offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere for customers to relax and enjoy a delicious meal or cup of coffee. The cafe has a minimalist and modern decor, with comfortable seating and plenty of natural light streaming in through the large windows. The spacious layout allows for a great ambiance that is perfect for catching up with friends or getting some work done. The menu at Gather is diverse and catered to a variety of tastes, with options ranging from hearty breakfast dishes to fresh salads and sandwiches for lunch. The food is always fresh and flavorful, and the presentation is top-notch. They also have a nice selection of pastries and baked goods that are perfect for a sweet treat. The coffee at Gather is a standout feature, with a range of specialty drinks and expertly brewed espresso. The baristas are skilled and knowledgeable, and they take pride in creating the perfect cup for each customer. The service at Gather is always friendly and efficient, with staff members who go above and beyond to ensure that customers have a great experience. The prices are reasonable for the quality of food and drinks offered, making it a great value for the area. Overall, Gather is a fantastic cafe that is worth a visit for anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to enjoy a meal or a cup of coffee in Columbus. I highly recommend it to anyone in the area looking for a new favorite spot.

Yelp
Excellent place to hide before a busy morning at work flipping through the paper scrolling through my emails

Yelp
Really interesting concept spot that seems to do it all! Great coffee and food during the day, and I've heard excellent cocktails in the evening. We went for a weekend brunch on a Sunday and it was amazing. They have so many fun brunch options, but I was really feeling like a breakfast sandwich so landed on The Spicy Ghostlight with chorizo, egg, cheese, jalapeño maple, and arugula all on an English muffin (they were out of ciabatta that morning). It also came with a choice of a side, and I got the smash brown potatoes which were sooo yummy, drizzled in some kind of herby mayo sauce. I could tell this breakfast was made of high quality ingredients and it was truly delicious. Also tried the Local Honey Latte, sub oat milk and iced. So good!! Loved my visit here.

Yelp
I saw this was a new extension from Ghostlight, so I had to check it out. Compared to the cafe I went to, this one was much spacier and had lots of seating. At the entrance, there are couches and a fireplace. There were paintings and seating on one side and the coffee bar on the other side. There is also plenty of seating "outside." I had the Shanghai fog which is made with green tea and it was good. I didn't try any of their food so I will have to the next time!

Yelp
The food was so nice and the ambiance of the seating, peaceful. It was a pleasant experience. The service was delightful and very kind to my toddler.

Yelp
The Dayton Arcade just got a classy new cocktail and tapas bar by Ghostlight, one of my favorite Dayton coffee shops! Service was friendly and helpful with drink suggestions. Our cocktails were delicious! The space was beautiful. Will have to come back for more next time I'm in town.

Yelp
Lawd ha'mercy! The breakfast sandwiches were the best I've EVER had (and I'm 50+)! I shared The Happy Italian and The Spicy Ghostlight with my partner - WOW! - what a flavor punch with both sandwiches and the side of Smashed Brown Potatoes was also exceptional! It was Sunday and we went for the brunch w/jazzy music; there were DJs (Levitate) and the music was fantastic; really GROOVIN'! I had to have another, fabulous Bloody Mary, so I could stay longer! Thank you, Gather employees, for being kind and attentive! I will Gather again, SOON!

Yelp
A true Dayton "GEM" On a hot Saturday in August amongst the bustle of Art In The City, I had the pleasure to experience Gather by Ghostlight. The staff was friendly and answered questions promptly (even in the height of lunch service time). --- Drinks - Featuring a full bar and wine selection, the craft cocktail lover in me was overjoyed at the selection of seasonal and classic cocktail offerings. YES THERE IS N/A COCKTAIL (mocktail) options too! ---- Food - Modest breakfast lunch and dinner menus feature an array of themed cuisine. Which were all delish, decently portioned, and fairly priced. ---- Ambiance - Serenaded by live local musicians both inside and outside of the establishment, I was able to find a cozy spot to complete my classwork. When I needed a break from the laptop and took a stroll around the restaurant taking in art from local artist. The dark walls, fresh flowers, tiled floors and deep wood accents made for an elevated experience. Final thoughts, this is a place to do it all from cocktails, coffee, study session, food, live performances, art, and community. Next time I am in the city, I will be sure to visit again.

Yelp
Have been here a few times, coffee is fantastic, brunch potatoes are great, came back for grilled cheese on a weekday, did not disappoint! My wife had a Shanghai fog at the recommendation of one of the lovely employees, and is still talking about it. Will visit again on my next visit to Dayton.

Yelp
My favoriteeee Sunday upscale breakfast spot. I look forward to coming here whenever I can. The serene ambiance, the eloquent aesthetics, & the pleasant interaction with all the staff wins me over every time. Plus the food is always flavorful and fresh :)

Yelp
Great food, music upbeat without being too loud or taking away from the experience. Friendly and efficient staff. Reasonable prices. Well worth the trip

Yelp
All I need to say is...TOP QUALITY. From the food to the service. This place will become my new regular "Gathering" place to connect with friends. One of the awesome bar tenders, Tori, made me an Espresso Affogato and a custom vanilla coffee beverage with coffee liqueur and it was delicious! The best drink I've had in a long time. My items were so good and appealing to the eye that a few ladies at the bar spotted my desert and beverage and wanted to know what I ordered. A huge shoutout and compliments to Tori!!! Definitely try this cool place out.

Yelp
Lovely birthday brunch salad! Thanks friend, Shane! You are doing a great service to this area and the atmosphere is amazing! Excellent food selection. A swanky bar for after shows! Hooray!

Eric L.

Yelp
Wonderful ambiance, with a cozy and inviting feel to the front seating area. The staff was extremely welcoming and gave us great service. And the small plates we sampled were all delicious. There was plenty of interesting variety to all the dishes. I have only two gripes. One is that some of the menu items were on the small side for the price, but maybe that's just the way restaurant prices are these days. It's feeling like that everywhere I go, so there's nothing about Gather that's unusually expensive. The other one is that among the cocktails my friends and I ordered (4 or 5 different ones, iirc), none stood out as an exceptional. Overall, the experience was great and I will definitely go back with friends again to try the next seasonal cocktails and tapas.

Yelp
Great new addition to the Arcade, private outdoor entrance, scratch kitchen, breakfast lunch and dinner menu!

Yelp
Great Ghostlight coffee, decent (but limited) food items. We went on one occasion and were met with an amazing young g man at the counter, but the second time we visited, service was somewhat lacking.

Julie H.

Yelp
Went for breakfast this morning. Ordered egg & cheddar sandwich on English Muffin. So bad!! Egg was cooked so hard it had a crust and yolk was like dried plaster. The "fresh" english muffin was more like a smashed pita bread. The cheddar cheese was like a piece of orange bark. When I tried to exchange it was told that's the way we do them! "Baked in a muffin tin"...more like left in the salamander Very rude and uninterested. Not what we expected at those prices. No attempt to improve the situation.

Katie E.

Yelp
Fingerling potatoes? Smashed? Crisp? Tossed? This was a disappointing brunch with friends accompanied with a $15 glass of champagne. I also asked for eggs on the side but was told they had no way of making eggs. Yet my friends had eggs with their orders? We just laughed at the service and our orders...

Shayna G.

Yelp
Food was absolutely amazing, the tacos were so flavorful and pork meat was very tender. The pickled onions were a perfect topping on the tacos. The smoked salmon was also really good, different than other smoked salmon I've had but I actually think I enjoyed it more. The aioli complimented the flavor very well and the pickled veggies were a wonderful addition. My London fog latte was also very good, strong earl grey flavor. The interior is really pretty and I love that you can sit either inside the restaurant or in the arcade. & The service was fast and friendly. I highly recommend taking some time to check this place out.

Yelp
Wow, wow, wow. Gather by Ghostlight just recently opened up in Dayton, Ohio and it has easily become my favorite place to go for Coffee and food. Let me start by talking about its immaculate atmosphere. I'm a classy woman, I love myself a cozy, yet fancy lil place. Their seating is comfortable and the decor is just so exquisite. Whoever was in charge of interior design and whoever was in charge of the architecture of the place, deserves pure gold stars. I feel like such a classy city girl sitting in there sipping out of my matte latte mug or wine glass. The service is also something to brag about! The staff is SO easy to talk to, they are beyond loving, and super chill. I feel seen, known, understood, loved, and welcomed by the staff at Gather. I appreciate that they also have such freedom for creativity in this place. Last time I was there I got a cheese latte! If there is any place to try something new, I know Gather and Ghostlight are the places to do that. It was such a good latte and I'm so glad I tried it. They take time to perfect their drinks and this drink is an excellent example of that. Their food is to DIE for. Everything in their menu is perfected to make your tastebuds jump for joy. This is a perfect pace for a date if you're wanting to go a little fancier than most places but not too upscale and expensive. They also have a FULL BAR. I have never had one of their cocktails but that all look amazing and I'm excited to try them one day. You will not regret visiting Gather.

Yelp
Good coffee, poor & slow service, sterile ambiance, hoping for BETTER next time if Arcade fills into space

Roxanne G.

Yelp
Great location. Great ambiance. Great food. Great service. Great space for fellow artists to gather.
