The warm lighting and welcoming vibe make it perfect for a quiet dinner while visiting the city. One of the standout features is their wonderful wine list — thoughtfully curated and filled with excellent selections that pair beautifully with the menu. Whether you’re a wine enthusiast or simply enjoy a good glass with dinner, you won’t be disappointed. I ordered the butternut squash ravioli, and it was incredibly delicious. Tender pockets of pasta dough enveloped a rich, velvety butternut squash filling, all finished with a walnut sage butter sauce that was perfectly balanced — nutty, aromatic, and indulgent without being heavy. Every bite felt comforting and refined at the same time. My daughter chose the steak with shoestring potatoes, and it was cooked beautifully — flavorful, juicy, and complemented perfectly by the crisp, golden shoestring fries. Save room for dessert as they are all delicious with the apple tart as my favorite. Gazette Restaurant is truly a must-try when you’re on the Upper East Side. It’s cozy, charming, and serves memorable food in a welcoming setting. Service is 5 star as the staff are friendly and attentive. I will absolutely be going back again on my next visit to New York City.

Charming Upper East Side spot with amazing service and a warm, inviting atmosphere. The wine list is extensive and well-curated, and the menu, while simple, is absolutely delicious. We tried the scallops, skirt steak, and lemon butter rigatoni. each dish was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. A perfect neighborhood gem for both a casual night out or a special dinner. Highly recommend!

I found the hidden gem in neighborhoods!! The food was tasty and the wine was perfect. The menu is short but good pick. I like their wine selection list. The staffs are very nice and attentive. I will definitely come back.

Came here with my boyfriend for a date night and was not disappointed. The restaurant was quiet when we got there and we closed out the spot with our 8pm reservation but service wasn’t rushed at all. We shared 3 courses, the cheese and meat board, the scallops, and the branzino. I personally enjoyed the selection of meats and cheeses included, and thought they provided a lot of beautiful food for the price. The scallops were perfectly cooked in a bed of corn and some sort of avocado/ chimichurri sauce that was to die for. We practically licked the plate clean. The branzino was well complemented with nectarines and a gorgeous salad. This place is absolutely a hidden gem on the upper east side!

Lovely bistro atmosphere and the food was tasty. The cocktails that were advertised were not incredible unfortunately. Prices were a bit high for what they served.

Really incredible bistro style wine bar - great, seasonal food, great wines, great cocktails. On the newer side so not mobbed. Definitely worth going and adding into your neighborhood rotation. Also, happy hour specials 7 days a week

This place just opened by me and I have been meaning to try it. Don’t get me wrong the food was good but the vibes were off. Did not feel welcomed at all, awkward even, considering I was *the only one in the restaurant*. Lavender espresso martini cocktail was delicious.

One of the best spots in UES. Truly a gem in the neighborhood! They have a seasonal menu focused on high-quality dishes tastefully curated to the season. Their cocktails and service are also top notch! It’s a breath of fresh air to go to a restaurant with great service where the waiters care and are happy to give recommendations and explain the menu. Their outdoor dining is very cute and perfect for enjoying the fresh air and people watching. I will gladly be back and bring out of town guests here as well!

Cozy and tasteful european-style restaurant with a small but thoughtful menu. Great place for a nice weeknight dinner with wine!

Had a positive experience at Gazette! It's cozy and pleasant inside. Staff was friendly. Portions are modest so I recommend at least an appetizer and entree per person if not two entrees. I would also appreciate the ability to order a non-alcoholic beer. I'll likely be back!

I think Gazette is a good addition to the Yorkville neighborhood. Super cozy vibes and surprisingly a big restaurant with seating options although my boyfriend made us a reservation on a Thursday evening just in case. I would love to see non-alcoholic beers on the menu in the future and just consistency among the online menu and the menu in the restaurant as when we went it was different. The staff was really friendly and I can see myself returning. Thanks!

We to restaurant on Friday night. Busy place. Seated at bar right away. Had a couple of cocktails. They were great, Had the pasta entree. Delicious. Could eat that every day. Bartender was attentive. Would definitely go back.
