My mom and I ate here today for the first time. We were so shocked at how amazingly fabulous the food tasted. The service was great too!! We will definitely be returning. We absolutely loved the artwork by Adriana Lash too. Beautiful!!!!!!

Google
This a very nice casual restaurant. It is reasonably priced. The service was that of a five star restaurant. As was the food. The Angus steak was so well prepared that it would be a crime to put any steak sauce on it. The crème bulei was very tasty and the custard was excellent. The presentation was far one of the best I've seen. Great place for the family, on a date or just to chill with friends.

Google
This eatery is easy to find. We celebrated my nephew’s birthday there. Our waiter was great. We were a table of 8 and they seated us in a very awkward spot. I kept feeling people’s rears as they walked past to and from the bathroom etc. 🤣 The nopalitos with cheese and chicken in the pic was amazing. The food was good, the wait time, not so much. Oh and the poblano soup was amazing. They were amazing and brought out a slice of chocoflan for the birthday boy without us asking. I will definitely be back to try the tapas. Go to Gazpachos I think you’ll like it!

Google
Decided to try this place because they serve creme brulee. We thoroughly enjoyed our tacos and chicken stuffed with spinach and cream cheese and the creme brulee was delicious. The staff was super friendly and I'm definitely going back to try those pork and habenero tacos.

Maribel Salazar

Google
Enjoyed the whole meal, didn't get pictures of the tappas because we went right at it 😋

Google
Had the September Special of Chile en Nogada. It is a Mexican dish comprised of a poblano pepper stuffed with picadillo & dried fruit. The garnish on top (walnut sauce, pomegranate seeds, & parsley) represents each color on the Mexican flag, as the dish commemorates Mexican Independence. Fantastic dish! Tastes so good! Very distinct flavors of sweet, salt and savory with a touch of spice all in one bite.

Started with Ceviche then shared the Shrimp Tacos... OMG! Excellent! Surprisingly good and very affordable house Cabernet! Great value, Great service, and Fabulous food! Highly recommend!

Google
Our server was excellent. Iced tea was fresh and good quality. The poblano cream soup was very tasty. Good portions. I would definitely come back.

Yelp
The service is amazing, the people here were super nice to me. Their soup is AMAZING! I really loved it especially their breads. One of the best soups I had in Brownsville Is Now Gazpachos, I would come here a lot of times for sure. They deliver the food quick and get your orders quick. Amazing Place

Yelp
Poblano soup 4/5 very creamy and soothing Bread 5/5 crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside Rosemary butter 4/5 a little strong on the rosemary for me Crêpa las Tablitas 3/5 very disappointing The beef was overcooked. The crepe tastes like a dessert crepe and clashes with the beef and mushrooms. There was not much cheese to note. I also could not tell there was any sauce on it. The crepe normally comes with fruit. The combo comes with a salad. It looked really fresh but I didn't care for the dressing. It seemed really processed but I don't know what kind it was. There is only 1 guy running the front end so it can move slow.

Yelp
Gazpacho's has a fairly wide menu but their tacos shine. Six come with an order as they are street size but they have a half order option. The servers met us at the door and we were well taken care of throughout the evening. Poblano soup was a big hit with the table and is something one should try. The storefront makes this feel very casual but the warmth is real.

Judy V.

Yelp
The food is always great & I love the poblanos soup. The service is a little slow, but they seem to have only one server at noon & he does his best.

Yelp
Nice place if you're looking to try something different in Brownsville. I'm giving it 4 stars because we ordered a glass of wine but the server forgot about it. Other than that, it was a good experience. We had a pasta dish that was delicious.

Yelp
The Azteca soup was tasty. I think I expected more from it because of all the rave in the reviews about it but it was still very good. I finished my cup after adding all the fixings but my friend did not. He left half a cup behind. The Gazpacho ceviche was delicious and perfectly balanced. Just beware of the power of spiciness of the chopped up habanero on the side. I thought it was melon or cheese and it took me awhile to recover! The crème brûlée was delicious too. One if the best I've ever tried. I also had the sangria because a review described it as having marinated fruits but when I got mine, it only had a strawberry on the rim and no marinated fruit. I asked the waiter and he quickly chopped up some watermelon and pineapple for me. I threw it all in and it was an overall refreshing, tropical, and scrumptious drink. My overall favorite though, was the shrimp and chicken pasta! It is one of the best pastas I've ever had. Great sized portion, perfectly cooked, and a great sauce! I will definitely be back for that!

Yelp
Our food was delicious! The entrees were full of flavor; but my husband said his chicken was a touch tough. The sides were perfection! Service was a bit slow, but the server provided good information about the menu items and was polite and unobtrusive. For a small strip mall restaurant, the place was well appointed and the music very soothing.

Yelp
Was worried at first because it took a bit long for a waiter to show up and then didn't provide silverware. The tacos were small but they had good taste. Has the Tablitas and my coworker had the shrimp tacos. The starters bread and butter very good. Now no fountain drink the soda was from a can. The restaurant is simple but nice art which is on sale. They need to hire additional staff as the waiter was running around and forgot or was delay on getting our bill.

Leonardo G.

Yelp
Great food great service, ceviche here is the best in Brownsville, the complementary bread they give is always fresh and for some reason the water they serve is so clean and fresh.

Lisa B.

Yelp
Food is always a treat and the service is good! Appreciate this lovely little place for a quiet dinner!

Yelp
I very much enjoyed my first experience here at the Gazpacho's restaurant. The staff was very welcoming and took all the precautionary measures during this time of the pandemic. Masks were mandatory which I very much appreciated and they also sell masks for $6.00! I went with two of my friends and we all enjoyed our meals and will definitely return in the future.
google avatar

Nikki M.

Yelp
We got los tablitos, nanos empanadas, and the Gazpacho's ceviche...it was all absolutely delicious!!!! The staff was friendly. They even gave us cake on the house as the day's special!!!
google avatar

Pam L.

Yelp
dinner with coworkers. Two of us had linguine two had steak. Both of us who ordered steak ordered it medium-rare to our disappointment and came out super rare. We sent it back and it still came out rare. other than that it's a pretty good deal with four of us eight for $120. With your meal came to sides and a salad. Nice little spot just be very specific about how you want your steak done
google avatar

Yelp
This place never disappoints!! Great location, good food. Good, friendly service and staff. The Aztec soup is my main reason for returning. The free bread and butter combination is delicious as well. Every dish I've ordered so far taste great, and the perfect amount is always served. I will definitely continue to come to Gazpacho's.

Joe T.

Yelp
I went to Gazpacho's for lunch because I figured that on a hot day I could get a nice cold bowl of, you know, gazpacho. Au contrair, mon ami. The salad and tortilla soup were delicious and reasonably priced but I left disappointed. Maybe expecting gazpacho in a non-Mexican restaurant was my first mistake.
google avatar

Zara S.

Yelp
We ordered food to go. Salmon was not great. Especially for the price. Fish was over cooked and sauce was not the best. The rest of the order, however, was totally worth it! Aztec soup is to die for and Nutella and strawberry crepe is great! Tuna tacos were really good too!

Yelp
Had company in town and we chose this place because it had pretty good reviews on yelp. Small little place that we passed 100 times, which we will now be frequenting. Simple decor with lots of art and a variety of options on the menu. Started off with a margarita on the rocks. Simply one of the best margaritas I have ever had!! Fresh limes and no pre mix...simple and perfectly blended. Everything was delicious. Everything was fresh. the green beans and sautéed spinach, although small portions, were perfectly done & seasoned. Going back today for another Rita! I'll be trying everything on the menu. Highly recommended.

Mayte N.

Yelp
I ordered for the first time, via Yelp, payed with paypal, and order was ready and just perfect! The mushroom empanadas were delicious, and gone in a second! The salad was awesome, tacos great!! Little place with the perfect menu, different from the same old , same old, would definitely come back again

Yelp
Ceviche Gazpacho is really good. Tasted spicy and fresh. Pollo Cataluna was great. Juicy chicken and the sauce was perfect. Asparagus was fine and steak fries were fine as well. Butter with the bread was really good. Ambience is nice and service was friendly.

Yelp
After a day at the zoo this was a good place to go with the family. We all had very different meals my daughter had a made to order pasta, hubby had nachos, toddler had pizza and I had a stuffed avocado. I really enjoyed my chicken salad stuffed avocado. My oldest and hubby liked their food too. My toddler not so much, but she is a very picky eater. The reason I'm giving it four points are two reasons one being that when we walked into the restaurant no one was there to greet us. The other which I know does not have anything to do with the restaurant is that there was a young girl there who was using very ugly language which I felt was not appropriate and made me uncomfortable. They have a bar which my hubby appreciated. He had an Indio beer which he liked.

Teresa T.

Yelp
Came in and had good service for the first 5 minutes, then non existent, the ceviche gazpachos was very good and I had planned on ordering a actual meal but since I had to ask for a beer and then my check, I'm deciding to leave and not patronize here again because of it. It was not busy at all either so there is no excuse imo.
google avatar

Teresa M.

Yelp
Azteca soup.. amazing! Paninis and tacos...scrumptious! Service was outstanding! Highly recommend!!!
google avatar

Donovan T.

Yelp
They do not serve alcohol but you can bring your own beverages. When I first looked up this restaurant and saw that is served tapas I was thinking small inexpensive meals. But when we ordered the meals were full size portions for full size prices. The food was good, don't get me wrong but it was not what we expected. The service was good. Nothing fancy here just a decent eat.

Yelp
First time here and the food was amazing. Service was spectacular. Our newest favorite restaurant. Would recommend to anyone. We are new to town and through group on found this lovely restaurant. When we have friends or family in town this will be must place to eat.

Yelp
interesting place for a small meal. Interesting artwork on walls. A nice collection of food.
google avatar

Yelp
This restaurant has nice service, good decor and the restrooms are clean (pet peeve). The food was great. The seats could be more comfortable.
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent food. My husband had the Cubano Sandwich. He couldn't say enough good things about. Guacamole is always fresh and good. The pablana soup is very tasty. The atmosphere is very nice also
google avatar

Godwin J.

Yelp
The rib-eye tacos, Gazpacho's Ceviche, and Nona epindadas were excellent additions to the restaurant's excellent atmosphere and great Customer Service. A well earned 5 stars.
google avatar

Marcus G.

Yelp
On Yelp it also includes Mediterranean. There is nothing Mediterranean on the menu. Aside from that, the place is very nice and artsy in the inside. They do have some tasty things on the menu but I wasn't in the mood for Mexican so i went with the special of the day, ribeye w/ rice and mash. My girlfriend had tacos verde and my mom had rib eye tacos. Places is ok if your in the mood for this type good. Service was ok, a little awkward.

Yelp
Probably one of the best tasting restaurants Ive been to for a while. Bread with their specialty butter was a perfect start only to follow the tortilla broth soup which I could have ate the entire pot as it was simply divine. Then the pasta was a huge portion, we shared it amongst 2 adults and still had some to take home. Wish this restaurant was near our casa as it would be utilized we failed by not ordering a dessert.

Yelp
I've been staying in local hotels for business near this establishment. Not being local, I'm not up on south Texas restaurant culture, but from the outside this place looked like a strip mall counter fast food soup place. I was surprised the inside had more of fine dining vibe. It definitely surpassed my expectations. I had a Cubano sandwich. It was great, all the paninis looked great too. I'll definitely be returning, thanks!
google avatar

Kayla V.

Yelp
Not Mediterranean at all. Ordered a soup that was microwaved right before I received it and the middle was pretty cold. Also ordered the Swiss chicken burger and it was pretty underwhelming for 12$. Over all very expensive and just okay food. Will not be returning.
google avatar

Randall R.

Yelp
Gazpacho's is unassuming from the outside, but the food is great. I ordered Nano Empanadas, my wife had Las Tablitas tacos, and we shared. Both were quite good, but I most enjoyed the empanadas. Our server provided prompt and efficient service, although very business-like and unsmiling. The complementary carrot and chocolate cakes were an unexpected bonus. If you are ever a party of two here and have both cakes set before you, l recommend you dive for the carrot cake before your partner gets to it. Or if she looks like she expects sharing, at least be the guy wielding the knife and dividing the pieces. It was a very enjoyable dinner.

Yelp
Food is good. I like the asturias sandwhich. Its a ham sub toasted. Very good. Order the azteca soup also very tasty.
google avatar

Jaime G.

Yelp
I checked out Gazpacho's after reading the reviews on yelp. I arrived at about lunchtime and was quickly seated. I ordered the Azteca soup, salad, and roast beef sandwhich. I went to the restroom to wash my hands and by the time I had returned my soup was already at my table. The soup was great and before I could finish my soup, my sandwhich and salad had arrived. The salad was good and I can honestly say the sandwhich was probably the best roast beef sandwhich I have ever had. The waiters were attentive and professional. The decor was a nice touch as well. This place is a must if in the area.

Yelp
Why do u always have to get ur add in the middle of mexican food or any other yelp resturants im looking at like Chinese or barbque or ..i just turn the app yelp off and just google resturants from now on...that's not fair for the other resturants around. Its a big turn of.Expecially when you are a very expensive resturant....and for bread..

Yelp
Tonight was our first time going to Gazpacho's - it was SO good! First, we ordered beer, which was delivered to our table with frosty glasses. Then the waiter brought us warm, crusty bread with some sort of magical rosemary butter - it was really tasty. My husband got the Pollo Alicante, which he said was very good. I got the Da Vinci panini, which was delicious! Besides the great food, the service was great - the waiter was attentive without being pesky. Tonight was our first visit, but I'm sure it won't be our last!

Yelp
If you live in Brownsville or are in Brownsville for God only knows what reason, do check this place out. Their "Azteca" soup is to die for. It's a tomato based soup with tortilla chips, cheese and spicy chipotle. This single item on the menu dictated that i give this place 5 stars It is just amazing. They have quite a few vegeterian options which really helps someone like me. Nice ambience, great service and a fully stocked bar. Unfortunate that they don't have any branches up here in Dallas. Will have to wait over a year to go back there.
google avatar

Patricia V.

Yelp
I've been here twice. Once for lunch and another for a dinner party. For lunch, I had the Michaelangelo panini. It was a simple, beautiful-looking, sandwich for $9.25 and the first thing that ran through my mind was...lemme get some prosciutto, I could make this at home. Mine just might be tastier and it'll definitely be cheaper. My friend got an entree I tasted too. I wasn't amazed by that either. In addition to my meal, I got a drink which was $2.75. I left there thinking, that was one overpriced meal. For the dinner party, I wasn't hungry. I shared a entree with my friend which must have been forgettable because I've forgotten but I do remember the Azteca soup I ordered as recommended by my fellow Brownsvillians. It was GOOD. All in all, they have nice ambience and good service but if you MUST go there, be ready to spend money on so-so food and don't forget the Azteca soup.

Yelp
I don't understand the 5 star reviews. We went for lunch at the tail-end, when most of the tables were leaving. Unfortunately, it was a very frustrating experience. The service was SO SLOW and our server would disappear for long periods of time, and so it was difficult to get service. Even when I tried to catch the attention of 2 other servers, we were ignored. One even looked me in the eye, and then turned away!! We sat for 20min before water came and 30min before the bread came. Our food (2 sandwiches) took 35min from when we could finally flag the server to order. The sandwich that I ordered was incomplete - missing the ingredient that made me want to order that particular sandwich in the first place. After 1hr and 45min, we were finally able to get out of there. (It only took us 10minutes to wolf down the food because we were starving, and took another 15min before we could get the check.) Just ridiculous service. Will NEVER be back and do NOT recommend - especially if you only have a short lunch hour! All I can say that's semi-nice is the the decor.
google avatar

Yelp
Slightly on the pricey side. But one of my favorite meals in all of Brownsville is their gazpachos fantastico with the azteca soup... can't ever go wrong with this dish when I'm willing to plunk down 20 bucks on a meal..
google avatar

Traci G.

Yelp
Azteca soup, cesar salad and turkey sandwich were good! I'll go back :)
google avatar

Ricardo D.

Yelp
I went to Brownsville for a business meeting so they arranged for us to meet here for a supposedly a better restaurant. I came early and ordered an iced tea. There is a good sized cockroach floating with the ice. I called the manager to rescue the insect while its gasping for air. I ordered a bottled water and warned my business partners. I didn't order any food either because I don't know where the cockroach contamination from. You want pictures? I got it.
google avatar

Coffee B.

Yelp
We came for the reviews and are so grateful we did. This is the best meal I've had in months. The ceviche gazpacho's, Azteca soup, and carne tacos. Amazing. Just go here.
google avatar

Amy K.

Yelp
The food was pretty good. I really liked the ceviche. The gazpachos salad was also really good. The problem is that the "tapas" aren't really small plates. We are frustrated that they advertise for tapas but don't really offer traditional tapas. Other than that, service and atmosphere were acceptable. Not sure if we will be back.
google avatar

M A.

Yelp
One of the first places I tried in Brownsville, and easily one of the best. The sandwiches and paninis are my go-to, but I haven't tried anything bad on the menu. Best carrot cake I've ever had, too.
google avatar

Melva A.

Yelp
I was there for the first time during my lunch break, so unfortunately I wasn't able to stay longer but the short time I was there.. I noticed the type of vibes and environment it has .. Thanks to the friendly service they provided and artsy decorations, it was an enjoyable non typical experience.I personally tried both soups they offer and they were amazingly delicious and the paninis with a lemonade and Crème brûlée dessert. I was full but definitely satisfied ! I loved this place and will for sure come back to try other dishes out!

Yelp
Delicious food. Nice atmosphere for a business lunch but it was great for lunch after church. Recommend the Sopa Azteca.
google avatar

Reynaldo V.

Yelp
Great place to eat for lunch or dinner. Great atmosphere, customer service and food. My wife and I came to try this place after watching a couple of Food Channel episodes of eating in France and Spain. We tried the ceviche, Azteca soup (which comes w/ tortilla strips, fresh avocado and cheese), fresh bread, chicken stuff avocado salad (comes with fresh fruit) and the Gazpacho's Fantastico Panini (comes with chips). All freshly served and fulfilling. Highly recommend all of the mentioned especially the Azteca soup, ceviche and Panini. We also added a couple glasses of red and white wine to appropriately accompanied the great food and didn't disappoint. Our server (older gentleman) was kind, attentive and generous. I thought the price was really good taking in consideration the quality of food. For what I describe up top the bill came out to about $36. Definitely recommend and can't wait to visit again.
