The 38 Best Things to Eat at Disneyland

"Disneyland can be overwhelming, and this poolside eatery at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel makes for an ideal midday escape. Order a cocktail, split a pizza, and unwind before heading back into the chaos. Other winners include the chili and mac and cheese, served at the refreshment corner." - Carlye Wisel

I did a few solo days at Disneyland and DCA and decided to give this place a try for breakfast. It was a nice breakfast from the parks as it was a warmer morning. The sun was out and I really looked forward to sitting by the pool and having breakfast. But I will say I was a little disappointed in the service and the food. The atmosphere was amazing. The pool view was amazing. I had high hopes for the French toast but was very disappointed in it. They were not busy and service was difficult to get. Wasn’t what I expected for California Hotel restaurant at Disneyland. The fresh fruit that came with the French toast looked good but was really flavorless. I’d like to think I just caught them at a bad time, but I was pretty disappointed in the whole experience.

We went for dinner on our first night at Disneyland. This place is adorable, we sat by the pool and had a very good meal. But this was the first hint on how different the service level in Disneyland in general is far below what we find in Florida, which we’ve been many times. Nothing particularly to mention, but a kind of “I don’t give a FCUK” attitude from the frontline team.

Google
Really good food for a “snack bar”. We were looking for a quick bite to eat before heading to the room and Downtown Disney isn’t very quick. I was concerned that it was is billed as a snack bar, expecting a refrigerator full of cold sandwiches and a steam table full of old food. They did have chips and such on display but all of the menu items were made to order. We ordered, got our drinks and sat down for 5 or 10 minutes and they brought our food. Everything was hot and fresh. The portions were good and the service was as friendly as you expect from Disney. I saw a couple sharing the nachos and they were huge.

Enjoyed a relaxing lazy lunch at the Grand Californian Hotel Craftsman Grill after 3 solid days at the parks. The grounds are beautifully decorated with manicured landscape and poolside dining. We enjoyed our meal under the umbrellas which perfectly shaded us while allowing us to enjoy the sunshine. Our waiter was attentive, friendly and our food was good. I had a steak topped salad and my son had the massive pork nachos. Only thing we regretted was removing the jalapeños and cilantro. I would definitely go back again.

Google
Had the charcuterie pizza. It is pretty good bar food. The pizza is definitely big enough for two. Drinks were good as well. It is a nice setting to sit at night because the pool lighting adds to the atmosphere. All of the staff was very pleasant.

We were there Sunday evening. We sat outside. The weather was perfect, the food delicious and the service was great! The live music was awesome and very entertaining! We along with several other tables, stayed until they finished playing! Yay! Hope they come back!

Google
This is my second time dining at this place, and I'm so glad I went back! Had a great experience the first time and had just as great an experience the second time around. The food is delicious 😋 and I loved having a view of the pool area. There was an artist signing/playing guitar, which added to all of the nice summer vibes. Definitely go check out out!

Google
I would want to give a five stars but we only had the Orange Vanilla Shake, which was SUPER tasty! The wafers in them are really good too and the atmosphere was really good too. I’m hoping to come back and something different!

Yelp
Located in the Grand California Hotel next to California Adventure, this restaurant offers a pleasant alternative to the crowds at the food venues inside the park itself. If you enjoy battling with other Disney tourists for tables after making your food purchases, this might not be for you. After trying to maneuver through the grad night crowds, I was more than happy to escape the madness by locating the hotel entrance from the park and looking for the dining options I had previously read about. You do need to have proof of paid park entrance to return to California Adventure so make sure you don't leave your ticket or cell phone with your magic key pass with someone who is not coming with you to the hotel. You will need to be screened by security for reentry as well. After scanning the menu, I decided to try their wagyu gouda burger while my wife ordered the hot dog of the month which was some kind of Italian dog as I remember it. Prices are a little higher than in the park but not so much that it's a deal breaker. $24 for the burger and $16 for the dog was reasonable for Disney (if that's actually possible). For some reason, the website shows prices that are $4 more for each item. I'm not sure why that is. The burger came with grilled red onions which I would have preferred raw, lettuce, tomato, and lemon aioli served on a toasted brioche bun. It includes a side of either seasoned fries or fresh fruit. The fries were kind of strange, like steak fries sliced thin so they were almost like thick chips. I wasn't really crazy about them. I should have ordered the fruit. My wife's hot dog had arugula and a sweet sauce with melted gouda on top. She liked it but I found the hot dog a bit salty. My burger was a good burger but I think this Wagyu business is vastly overrated. I don't think it makes a bit of difference unless it's actually Japanese Wagyu. American Wagyu just seems like retitled prime or sometimes just choice grade. The soda is self serve and they have those machines that allow you mix a variety of beverages to create your own customized drink if you'd like. Don't forget to show them your annual pass since you can get your park discount at the hotel restaurants as well. The servers are extremely polite and helpful. They are actually only there to bring your order when your food is ready but our server went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed and where everything was located if we needed more. The dining area is soooo much more pleasant than the madness inside the park. It's a little inconvenient to leave the park and have to go through security to return but I found it relaxing to escape the loud, boisterous (and sometimes obnoxious) high school kids celebrating grad night.

Yelp
Due to rain we were only able to order and eat our food inside. The menu had baked nachos that looked amazing. It was a HUGE portion. More for sharing than for an individual. The top layer and the beef was tender and delicious. But the bottom half of the nachos were all soggy. I won't order them again. The pineapple Fanta was delicious. Service was great. I was on a mobility scooter and several members helped open doors for me. The restaurant was very clean and tidy.

Yelp
This is officially my new favorite place to eat. The food was so delicious and filling. I was shocked at how much I loved the salmon salad. My friend loved his food as well. He had some kind of nachos. The service was great. We came here twice on our trip and both times the staff was very kind and accommodating. One time we arrived super early to our reservation and they still took us right away. The ambiance was very romantic with all the string lights everywhere. The beautiful heaters that look like lamps. The band that was playing was great and so was the music they chose. We sat next to the pool which made it so romantic and relaxing. I will definitely be back to this restaurant. 100% recommend.

Yelp
Was looking for a quick lunch and was pleasantly surprised to be directed to this cute, tucked in a back corner restaurant. The process is walk up and order with additional grab and go snacks. The staff was very kind and helpful regarding dietary restrictions and their menu items. Ambiance is the same as the Grand Californian Hotel and very comfortable. Our party of two ordered the fish and chips which was cooked to perfection and the poke bowl. Both menu items came out quickly and creatively plated. Like everything else in Disney, it is not cheap but in this case the price matched the value of the meal. Would definitely eat here again.

Yelp
Had a quick bite for lunch while I was waiting for my husband and I thought the last time I got the quesadilla it was carnitas but this time when I got it, it was asada. Well anyways quesadilla was excellent. It was crispy on the edges and filled with meat and this corn pico mix. It has a chipotle sauce that adds to the quesadilla. 10/10

Yelp
Whether you are staying at the Grand California Hotel or not, this is a dining location you definitely want to check out! It's a gorgeous area near the pool where you can sip a cocktail, grab a pizza, or even try an entree like fish and chips. The menu is pretty diverse to meet both the needs of anyone in your party, but also accommodate food allergies or dietary needs (vegetarian). When I saw the Forest mushroom and impossible sausage pizza on the menu, I knew I had to book a reservation (available 60 days out through the Disneyland app). I was not disappointed and there was plenty to share! The pizza could easily feed 2-3 people, so bring both an appetite and friends/family. There is a full bar, so if you don't see a beverage on the menu you like then request your drink of choice. I enjoyed both a cocktail on the menu, and my usual go to - a dirty vodka martini. Both were delicious, and I definitely foresee a return to this location as the ambiance is relaxing and great after a long day in the parks.

Yelp
Easy food/hot grill option at DGCH. We enjoy it and eat here often for breakfast or at the end of the day for a quick dinner before going to our room. Excellent food and super service. Fresh food options, hot food options - and great drink and treat selections!

Yelp
Here we go again... changing the entrees to reduce input costs while keeping the same prices. We used to love coming here and would recommend it to others all the time. The recommendation is no longer as the value was eliminated. I really don't know how they can still call their rice and soy bean bowl a "Poke Bowl" any longer. In honesty it needs to be renamed "Rice Bowl". In 2023 they cut the amount of Poke in half compared to 2022 and added imitation crab to the bowl and raised the price by $4. In 2024 they cut the amount of poke by at least 1/3 again, took out the imitation crab, and shrunk the size of the overall entree, but so far kept the price at $22. The nachos are still huge, but the chicken or beef you are supposed to get is nearly non-existent. I would guess at this point they might be putting up to a once of meat on the nachos. The nachos are exactly that - nachos with the fake nacho-style cheese, some black beans, a few jalapeños, and perhaps an ounce of protein. The pizzas are nearly the same, but it looks like they are cutting the amount of toppings. So it should be called "Cheese Pizza with _____". But check it out for yourself if you must. All the food at Disney has either risen in price again or shrunk, or both. At this rate, in 10 years time, it seems everything they have will be "bite size" and cost $50.

Yelp
All i can say here is wow. My son took me to Disneyland for my birthday and then treated mom and dad to some excellent food and dining. The bar area outside is absolutely amazing and inviting and the bartender Deano was hilariously funny. I met 2 managers and they were so down to earth and professional and the food is great. I could easily just of hung out here all day and night until closing. The whole ambiance of this hotel is breathtaking and exciting. A 5 star feels like to low of a score for this place. A absolutely must visit for the whole family.

Yelp
*** Vegetarian / Vegan Review *** GCH Craftsmen Grill, located near the serene pool area of the Grand Californian Hotel in Disneyland, is a hidden gem worth discovering. From the moment you step in, you're greeted with a lively atmosphere and a friendly staff that's eager to make your dining experience memorable. They offer a variety of foods from take and go to hot, order-at-the-counter items. Although they don't have a lot of vegetarian items on the menu (translation only 1 offering), the pizza is actually vegan so that more than makes up for the lack of vegetarian selections. The Forest Mushroom Impossible "Sausage" pizza (Grade A, $30 before discount) -100% vegan and 100% elegant tasting. Ditch the boring ole' red sauce. It's a symphony of flavors, boasting plant-based sausage, a rich mushroom spread, caramelized onions, chopped green onions, fresh mozzarella, and a tantalizing house cheese blend. Trust me; it's a journey into "umami-forward" goodness. Bottom line: The cast members are super nice. The atmosphere is lively. Plenty of seating. Inside capacity 80 and outside has about 10 tables nearby. Mostly shaded as well to escape the sun. Tips for first timers 1. Self serve drink stations with to go cups. Remember to hydrate and this is the perfect spot to do so. 2. They have a breakfast, lunch/dinner menu. Breakfast ends at 10:30. 3. They have exclusive souvenir sipper cups. Today was Coco Skull Sipper to celebrate Hispanic and Latin American Cultures. 4. Don't forget to use your AP passes for the discount. Comparison: Napolini Pizzeria in Downtown Disney is mostly great for vegetarians. Sometimes they overcook the pizzas - my guess they get overwhelmed with the massive crowds. GCH is more consistent and offer a much more elegant pizza to satisfy even the meat lovers in your group.

Yelp
I've never dined at this Disney restaurant so I decided to check it out! We had reservations and upon checking in, we were told the reservations list was backed up and it'd be another 20 min. A little rocky start but no worries! We checked out the spa store right out front to kill some time. After a few minutes, we got a text that our table was ready and got seated outside in their tabletop bar area that looked out into the pool. Our server was super apologetic about the reservation back up AND about the kitchen being backed up as well. He even went back to the kitchen to check on an eta for any potential food items ordered and ended up coming back with good news - they were all caught up! Watermelon Cucumber Cocktail - I can't remember the exact name of this drink but it was so darn good!! It tasted like juice. Refreshing juice! Anything that doesn't taste like alcohol but contains a good amount is an A+ in my book! Mushroom Pizza - I was extremely impressed with this dish! The Impossible meat tasted like they had added extra seasoning to it and made a meat substitute that's already good, great! The mushrooms melted in your mouth and paired well with the caramelized onions and cheese. The dough was super crispy as well! I definitely want to come back here and try more of their cocktail and food items! Very impressed with this restaurant!

Yelp
First time at this poolside bar and grill and I love the ambience! It's a beautiful setting, poolside with a live guitarist who was just the best! We found ourselves singing and humming each song she sang! [this was Tuesday, November 28th at 8p!] The food was better than average and I must say, the staff was fantastic! They are personable, friendly and move around like bees but not in the rude way of that makes sense! The portions are large but I thought my Fish and chips (especially the chips) were unremarkable. Honestly the setting was so special, (and probably better at night like right now) it kind of supersedes the food and I can't say enough about the guitarist, she was a big win for me!

Yelp
Food was excellent along with service. Definitely going back! Music and ambiance served us well under patio.

Yelp
I stopped by GCH Craftsman Grill at California Adventure for a quick bite. While it's a decent spot for fast service food, my experience was mixed. The avocado toast I ordered was only okay; the toast wasn't toasted all the way, which affected the overall texture and taste. On the bright side, the blueberry muffin I tried was pretty good, offering a nice balance of flavors. However, the real standout was the hot cocoa. It was the highlight of the visit, providing a comforting and delicious warm treat. If you're looking for a quick meal option in California Adventure, GCH Craftsman Grill might do the job, but it's the hot cocoa that stands out as the best item on the menu.

Yelp
Formerly known as "White Water Snacks". You can find the same food menu served at Craftsman Bar. It's just missing the alcoholic beverages & poolside seating! As you enter, there are many desserts / treats and some grab and go type of snacks available. You order at the registers, then get seated at a table with a number. The cast members will bring your food out to you. We have eaten here multiple times during our stays at GCH. The Mediterranean wagyu burger was a hit. Very juicy and a decent portion size. Same with the shawarma chicken skewers. Breakfast for take out was great too, but the portions seemed a bit smaller due to the confined box size. Maybe that's just my imagination. Overall, this is a very convenient spot to either grab food to go, or dine in. Just wish they had more tables to eat at, but I've never encountered a time where they were all full / occupied.

Yelp
Came here for dinner since we wanted to eat but the pool side Craftsman cafe was full... It's a quick service restaurant which you order at the counter and they bring it out. The pizza is massive, possibly 8 pieces? Could feed 3 if you only get pizza 4-5 if you share other food, which we did.. we ordered the chicken wings, not expecting rice and cold slaw, basically a full meal..and the nachos were massive....share 2-4 people for sure. For the price, everything is not too bad. Give it a try!

Yelp
My experience at this place was just okay. The ambiance is nice because it's near the Grand Californian Hotel pool, but the service and food was sub par. Things we ordered: -Baked nachos: we ordered the chicken, and it came with shredded cheese, black beans, green onions, pickled jalapenos, queso fresco, avocado, and salsa. It was super dry, and not much sauce. Definitely would not order again -Sticky chicken wings: Now, this was delicious! Honey soy ginger glazed, that comes with cucumber slaw. I would definitely order this again. Even maybe to go if I could! It was so tasty. -Flat iron steak salad: It was just okay. I got it with the caesar dressing, but I felt the meat was dry. -Watermelon cucumber collins: It tasted more syrup-y more than anything. I would not order again. I think I would maybe give it a second chance and order other things on the menu, but I really thought it would be better based off the other yelp reviews.

Yelp
GHC's Craftsman Grill is a favorite of mine, when I feel like having some pizza at Disneyland (and Poke for my partner). I'm a very classic pepperoni pizza kind of guy, and let me tell you... I DEVOURED IT ALL! It was so delicious! Amazing flavor, thin crust, giant pepperoni - your kids will love it! Big enough to share, but I literally ate it all. Poke is delicious too, order it with a salad and you're going to love it. Great service too! What do you expect? It's Disney :)
google avatar

Yelp
What a delightful treat at GCH. We were visiting Downtown Disney for our annual Christmas look around and wanted a bite to eat. My parents have eaten here before and it was the perfect place for a quick bite. To order you walk up to the counter and place your order with a cast member. They are very kind and friendly and when the food was ready it was brought out to our table. For lunch we had a variety of foods including fish and chips, chicken tenders with fries and a delicious cheese pizza. We were very impressed with the flavors and presentation of each meal. The ambiance is that of a woodsy, lodge, just like the hotel it is connected to. We were very happy and will definitely return.

Yelp
Best breakfast burrito ever! Wow, what a pleasant surprise to get a delicious breakfast that didn't break the bank inside a Disney hotel!! Seriously, just go buy it. It's the perfect way to start your day and will keep you full until lunch. I split it with my husband and it was more than enough!

Yelp
Hey there Party People, Had to get my Christmas Groove on with a much needed trip to the Happiest Place on Earth....that's right Disneyland Eating at the Craftsman Grill located in the Grand Californian Hotel is a must. Not many place in the States where you can enjoy lunch poolside in December The meals are huge easily feeds two people. My Husband had the Poke dish with a mix of Tuna and Salmon choice of rice or salad. My Husband..who is a Sushi snob has never been disappointed with this dish We decided to try something new and get the Nachos with Chicken. The balance Between sauce and cheese was just right to keep the chips from getting to soggy. Always a major downer is soggy chips but not a problem here. We went all out and got the Chicken wings in the most amazing tangy ginger teriyaki sauce that made you taste buds sing with joy As I said before it's a must stop Happy Holidays to all

Yelp
I ordered the Wagyu Gouda Burger with no modifications. Perhaps it is my fault in ordering this, because I was wanting to indulge (rarely as it is) in a good cheeseburger, but I found out later that this is not your typical cheeseburger. This restaurant used to have delicious cheeseburgers (been coming to this resort for a good 17 years) and I didn't think twice about ordering a burger again. To be fair, I was rushing and didn't read all the details of the ingredients. If I had, I would have asked for modifications. When I took my first bite, it had an odd flavor - sort of like dishwashing liquid (not that I've consumed that, but I can imagine by the smell). It had a sweetness that I simply didn't desire in a "cheeseburger". I wondered if it was the pickles, as they were placed on TOP of the bun, to be added once served. They were in fact, sweet pickles. I took them out. The flavor I didn't love remained. After further inspection of the ingredients, I believe that flavor must have been from the "Preserved Lemon Aioli". And so I had found the dishwashing liquid taste - lemon! I have never put lemon on my cheeseburger, so it was definitely new to me. The fries were new to me as well, being flat, almost like potato chips, but still fries. They were okay for me. I usually order the nachos when I come here and they have nearly always been delicious. I will not be ordering the burger again. I will stick to the nachos or the Avocado Panzanella, which I had last time. It was delicious, although I did leave the sourdough bread croutons mostly behind. Bottom line - if you or your family are hoping for a typical cheeseburger, even an upscale one, be advised that that it may be unlike anything else you've had. I will stick to cheeseburgers without lemon - but to each their own!

Yelp
We spent time at the sit-down lunch service and at the bar in another day. Had the dully loaded nachos. Each order is easily enough for two people to share. Service is awesome and personal. We saw another diner with a huge salmon on her salmon salad! gReat to sit outside on a nice day. The bar the next day was great. Walk-ins welcome on the bar. We were introduced to Tajin spice by our bartender. He added it to the rim of a beer glass and added our beer and an orange slice. Fabulous!

Yelp
This is the grill just past the craftsman grill bar. I feel like people mix the two up, the bar you are better off make reservations for and it is right next to the pool, plus the bar is more lounge outdoor atmosphere. The grill is just past the bar and it's a grab go / causal dining, no reservations needed. During our last trip to Disney in august, we came here twice lol. The nachos are so good and a great size to share, trust me it's so big you have to share . The first night we came we got the baked chicken nachos $24 , 4.5/5- so good !! We were able to share this between two adults and two kids (10 & 13) We also got the kids chicken tenders meal $10 4.5/5, great size and comes with a drink my little one was happy and big kids helped a little to finish it lol The second night we came we want to try the nachos again but this time with the beef and honestly for us we liked the chicken more.

Yelp
1st - there's always open reservations. 2nd - it's outside by the grand Californian pool. 3rd - we still don't know who our server is. He was basically missing the whole time we were there. We definitely would've spent way more money on alcohol. I almost called search and rescue for the server. 4th - I got poke.... The pieces of fish wasn't cut in poke size. It looked like scraps. The fish was warm. I was almost scared eating it. I got half/half (salmon/tuna and rice/salad). The rice was like it's old. I didn't finish my food and if know me, I always finish my food or take it to go. My friend got the margherita pizza. She did enjoy it. It's huge. So we asked for a box to go and she got a personal pizza size box so we had to ask for another one. Overall, not that impressed and over priced for what I got. Plenty of delicious poke places nearby with GOOD rice. Alsooooo, the cucumber tasted bad. I'm tried one piece and said nope!

Yelp
Made a reservation and ended up poolside. Reggae inspired live music was great for the atmosphere. For the price point the service was spotty at best and the description vs rea was an unpleasant surprise. It said it came with pita not toasted shredded bits of pita. Not worth a reservation-you can likely score a walk up.

Yelp
Get Luis as a server- he is a star! Wings are bomb- comes with rice too Marg pizza is surprisingly good

Yelp
I go to Disneyland/California Adventure weekly and this is one of our go to spots. There are actually two spots in the Grand Californian, one where you can sit at the tables pool side and depending on the time, listen to live music, the other is a little further down where you can order your food and sit in a quiet spot (for Disney) and eat your food. I usually go to that more tucked away spot and order our food and eat and most everything is good there. The quality of food to cost is better than what you can usually find in the parks. Their hotdog of the month is always fun to try as well. There is a new one every month and they can get pretty imaginative with the toppings. The portion sizes are also good, especially the beef or chicken nachos, which I usually end up having to share. If you happen to have a magic key pass, your discount works here, as well as Disney gift cards.

Yelp
This place is a good option if you are looking for somewhere outside the park to take a break and get some good eats in! Nachos were a classic choice and prepared perfectly. The charcuterie pizza was perfection! I've never had a pizza like this before but I've been thinking about it ever since! Sooo good! Might be a little hard to get a table depending on time of day. Easy access from grand Californian hotel or California adventure park near grizzly river run

Yelp
Everything is delicious. We had the pitcher of blended Pina Colada that serves two. The service is great. The pool side views were wonderful. Had an amazing time here.

Yelp
Great quick service/grab and go spot if you're staying at Disney's Grand Californian hotel. Pricey, but that's to be expected. The small almond croissant I got was better than I thought it would be, but skimpy on the almond filling. For a quick snack or bite with the convenience of charging to your room, this place was a-ok!

Yelp
Great place to hangout and relax. We went on a Thursday night and had a reservation for the outside area. Checked in and got seated right away. Our server was extremely knowledgeable and our party of four opted for the family style to try and little bit of everything. We got the charcuterie pizza, nachos, chicken wings, fries, and some liquid courage. The charcuterie pizza was okay to me... I was expecting it to be just like the one in the park over at Pizza Port, but it didn't have the cornichon pickles like the one inside the park did... and I feel like cornichon pickles is a staple item on any charcuterie board. I was really shocked to like the wings so much. The wings, rice, and Asian style coleslaw was delicious together. You can't mess up a good baked nachos and the fries were a unique cut that was fun to eat. As for the liquid courage... I was shocked at how strong the drink was. Take what you want with that information. Lol. Everything was pretty good but I did feel pretty heavy after the meal so we walked it off. It was nice hearing live music and the string lights were beautiful. We all agreed we'd come back again.

Yelp
There's something about walking through a Disney hotel to make you feel like you're really on vacation. On our way to pick up our mobile order for breakfast at the Craftsman Grill, I definitely sensed it, and we had a nice breakfast worthy of a vacation. We were heading up to Sherman Oaks that afternoon and decided to spend as much of the morning wandering around Downtown Disney as possible. Given the timing, breakfast was a given and since the hotels are right there, we decided to grab a mobile order from Craftsman Grill and see where we could sit back and leisurely start our busy day. My sister and I both ordered the craziest avocado toast I've ever had, and yet it reminded me of the one at the coffee shop near my office. The best part was the sprinkle of pomegranate seeds on top of the toast. I keep forgetting how good pomegranate seeds are and I need to incorporate them into my life more often. Now I'll remember that they were amazing on this toast! While it was a little small for the price, it was a fork and knife situation, which made breakfast feel much longer. We were lucky that we were able to find a seating area by the pool and eat our breakfast before the space turned over to a bar, so our timing was perfect. There really is something to be said about sitting by a carefully curated pool on a sunny morning to make you really feel like you're on vacation. Forget the time zone difference and the fact that all of your belongings are in a suitcase, it's sitting by a Disney pool that really makes your vacation come to life, even if you aren't actually staying at that hotel in question. GCH Craftsman Grill is a solid option for breakfast at Disney, especially if you're just walking around Downtown Disney. Just submit your mobile order, grab your food, and kick back to really sense your vacation.

Yelp
We were at the Disneyland Resort and hoping for a delicious lunch. We decided to head to Craftsman Grill, as it usually offers good (and reasonably priced - by Disney standards) options. Unfortunately, our experience was incredibly disappointing. For a resort that usually tries to be accommodating of food allergies and sensitivities, none of their sandwiches could be modified (and I ended-up throwing most of my turkey croissant in the garbage due to a heavy layer of garlic spread - on both sides of the sandwich). To add insult to injury, the side of fries my husband ordered (which are normally very tasty) were cold and hard. Overall, this (like too many things at Disneyland these days) was not up to our expectations. We sincerely hope significant improvements are on the way, as we really want Disneyland to continue to be one of our "go to" magical places.

Yelp
Craftsman Grill is a great place to relax, grab a drink, and enjoy some delicious food after a long day in the parks. Or even a nice pit stop to break up your day. I highly recommend the wood fired pizza, its definitely among the best Ive ever had.

Yelp
The smoked salmon bagel sandwich is fantastic! A terrific combination of flavors and textures, accompanied by fresh fruit to break up the saltiness of the salmon. It's a bit on the pricey side -- $20 at the time of this writing -- but well worth it to me.

Yelp
Pro-tip: Make a reservation for sunset so you can enjoy both the daytime and night time views. Price: 3* Ambience: 4* Location: 5* Flavor: 5* Service: 4* We made a reservation via the Disneyland App. Which is always interesting as they show such limited availability, but the place had plenty of seats. I ordered the Angus Steak Salad, a poke bowl to share, and my partner ordered the charcuterie pizza. The salad was great, it had a champagne dressing, which I found too sweet, but other than that, it was really good. The poke bowl we asked for lettuce only (you can have rice if you like instead) and it was on point. The seafood was fresh and tasty. The pizza was the bomb! It has pepperoni, prosciutto, salami, Italian sausage, arugula, tomatoes, and cheeses. I could have eaten two of them! Great meal, hit-or-miss service, great ambience. I would return again.

Yelp
Out of all the times I've visited the Grand Californian and California Adventure, I never realized just where GCH Craftsman Grill was located. I was staying at the GCH as part of a wedding party, and had lunch reservations at Craftsman Grill as soon as we got in for the weekend. I was blown away by their cocktails - so perfectly mixed and blended, and just strong enough. As far as the food went, I thought everything was carefully made and prepared. I ordered the poke salad for myself, while others in my group ordered chicken wings and a burger. We were all very pleased with the food and beverage selection as well as with our server. I highly recommend stopping by here if you are ever at the Disney parks and in need of a refreshment!

Yelp
Drinks: 5/5 Food: 5/5 Service: 4/5 Environment: 5/5 The drinks tasted great and had a well balanced alcohol and mix. Nothing wrong with the drinks. The Wagyu Burger was cooked to perfection (my preference is medium rare) with fresh arugula, tomatoes, and a tzatziki sauce. The Poke Salad had edamame, avocado, Tuna, Salmon, onion, cucumber, furikake, and a sriracha aioli. It tasted great and was a refreshing salad on a hot day. The service was good, but I could tell that the server seemed frustrated with other guest. But the food came out in a timely manner and there was no complaints on our end. The environment is awesome. If you stay at the Grand Californian hotel or even just getting a reservation at this place, you have a pool view and shopping all around. There was also a live band playing while we are. This place compliments well with a park reservation or if you're shopping around. *They don't validate parking here, so if you parked in the DTD parking, you'll have to look somewhere else*

Yelp
Great visit to the GCH. We had a spa treatment and grabbed lunch prior to our appointment. Staff was amazing. Our waitress took great care of us and provided some great suggestions. Love the new name tags with the 100 years and favorite character. Ours was a fan of Tiana! Service was quick and loved sitting outside by the pool. Nachos were perfectly done. Crispy chips and great toppings. Quesadilla had great flavor with the carnitas. Drinks were tasted and got out trip started off right. Another awesome visit to a Disney restaurant!

Yelp
We spent the weekend at Disneyland, but we were too late to get a reservation at The Blue Bayou Restaurant; we were able to get reservation at Grand Craftsmans Bar at Grand California Hotel at Disneyland. The bar is located at the swimming pool inside the Grand California and it is all outdoor seating. First of all the service was very good. The Nachos were the best we have ever eaten! They were half shredded beef and half chicken. The spices on the Mediterranean Burger bun was overpowering. It stayed with me all day into the evening. Nothing special about the pizza. The Mai Tai was good but not great. Typical resort pricing, pizza $26, Nachos $24, mixed drinks $18, IPA $13.25, We attended the weekend before Thanksgiving.

Yelp
Food: 5 stars Value: 5 stars Service: 3.5 stars Drinks: 5 stars Ambiance: 3.5 stars This is the outdoor restaurant/bar in the Grand California attached to the pool area. We wandered in after we had decided to take a break from the parks and have a drink in the Hearthstone Lounge, but decided to check out the outdoor options here instead. We were able to snag two seats at the bar (open seating) and ordered drinks. The cocktails here are excellent (order the specials!) and the food smelled and looked so good that we ended up ordering some despite our upcoming Lamplight Lounge reservation. We were absolutely blown away by the food - the pizzas are FANTASTIC and a great value, particularly if you have a large party. The pizzas are gigantic, and easy to share. I loved both the margherita and charcuterie pizzas. The menu looked and smelled so good I had a hard time picking which items to order and deciding whether to completely abandon my dinner reservations. I have no regrets from choosing to order food here, although there was a longer wait for food at peak times. Overall, this restaurant deserves success, which it's great food and cocktails. We also appreciate the open air format for COVID safety.

Yelp
It's pretty hard finding food at night with a toddler and a baby since all restaurants need reservations - especially after the park closes. We wanted to eat at the grill next to the pool but it was booked but if you walk pass the entrance there's a quick cafeteria style ordering system for GCH Craftsman Grill. We were in and out within 15 minutes. We ordered the Ahi Poke, a grilled sandwich, and chicken tenders with tomato soup. The poke was surprisingly delicious and fresh and my toddler enjoyed their tomato soup. The grilled sandwich was good since my husband decided to put the chicken tenders in it since by toddler refused to eat it so he was more than happy. If it works, it works.

Yelp
We came to the Craftsman Grill after going to eat at the Craftsman Bar the night prior. These 2 establishments are right next to each other and serve a very similar menu. The difference? The Grill is a casual, walk up style spot with build your own salads, grab and go drinks, desserts, and a variety of casual type American foods. My favorite thing is they do a hot dog of the month! I think the flavor combinations they come up with are so unique. This visit we tried a poutine themed hot dog. It had fries, gooey cheese, gravy....it was probably one if the best hot dogs I have ever had! We also love the garlic soy wings. They have indoor and outdoor seating here. Since it is casual and walk up it is a little less nice of a vibe than the Bar area. That being said, it is a wonderful place to get away from the hustle and bustle since it is nestled in a quiet corner of the hotel. There's a food and drink option to suit just about every member of the family here.

Yelp
I wanted to try something new and my friend was telling me about this place. We were already at Disneyland, so, we decided to come here, since it was walking distance and nearby. This place is located inside the Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. You do have to go through security check to get to this place and then, again, on the way out, which wasn't a big deal. Just a little FYI. I ordered the Cali Sliders and my friend got the Maine Lobster Quesadilla. I liked the Cali sliders. They're super cute and everything tasted great together. I also tried the quesadilla, which I thought was just ok. I would pass on the quesadilla. We came here late afternoon/ early evening and it wasn't too busy, maybe one or two people dining in, but when we left, the place was packed.

Yelp
Really surprised it wasn't busier. Me and my girlfriend started our Disney adventure yesterday...well technically it was today since it was our first day entering the park. Either way, we had a reservation for this place(since reservations are scarce everywhere). We ended up walking there from Paradise Pier and didn't realize until later that we can use our room key to enter any Disney Hotel. Just wanted to give other people the heads up incase they haven't been to one in like 30 years like I have. Argh that hurts to say lol... Basic covid rules apply. Mask until you are at your table. After that you can take off. Our waitress was nice but accidentally ended up giving me an extra margarita by mistake. She was nice enough to let me keep it though since I already took a sip on accident(heh). But I was definitely satisfied with the alcohol per drink. In terms of food we got the Soy Garlic Wings and the Charcuterie Pizza. I wasn't blown away be either of them but at the same time they also got the job done. Arugula lovers will probably enjoy the pizza a lot. I really just enjoyed how well the marinara sauce was. It had a really good flavor. The wings are better with Ranch imo. I had to ask for some on the side and once I tried them with that, I started to enjoy them a little more. Overall I thought this place was pretty good. If I had a big group of people I was with, I would definitely consider this place more because I feel like it flies under the radar a little. We went at around 7pm yesterday but it could be dinner wasn't as packed because of the weather and it was a Monday night. It should also be known that you can take drinks from the bar to go...

Yelp
Be warned that this grill is entirely outdoors and right next to the pool at the grand Californian hotel. We were originally sat at a table practically on pool side and in direct sunlight with one side of the table sat on a concrete bench We asked to move tables which was accommodated. Service is very slow unfortunately as the drinks were tasty and we would have liked a second round however our server disappeared for a long while and no one checked on us. We enjoyed the charcuterie pizza with the cucumber spritz and the mai tai. We requested the pizza crispy and even tho it's a thin crust, it was still soft in the middle and not cut the whole way through. There are definitely other menu items that also looked great as they came out (double baked nachos, sliders) however will not be back to try anything. There are better places to eat and drink than this poolside bar.

Yelp
Surprisingly great pizza. The service, prices and food were outstanding. Parking a pain but well worth the walk
