I came here for dessert after having Chinese food for dinner nearby… Service here was great, the young girl was very helpful and let me try a few flavors. They had several flavors that were very appetizing sounding, including their dark chocolate which is not made with dairy. I ultimately decided on strawberry and it was really good.

ADRIANA MEDINA

Google
The gelato was good and at a reasonable price. I tried Pistachio, and it was okay, too sweet, and did not have much of the Pistachio flavor. Gooey butter cake and caramel were good.

Google
Unique flavors in this thick and creamy ice cream but it's NOT gelato. Flavors are quite americanized and there's a touch of ice in the ice cream so the flavors are probably a mix. It's also a touch loud inside with limited outdoor seating, overall I thought it was overpriced while my wife loved the black raspberry. They were nice with allowing tastings and weren't pushy at all

Google
Good dessert on a hot day. Great flavor selection.

Google
The sweet cream and chocolate chip gelato chocolate chip cookie sandwich was pretty darn good! Nice staff and modern decor, worth a stop.

Valeria Glodeanu

Google
Clean, cute ambiance, fast ordering, plant based options, healthy, super tasty, very filling. I chose the lemon poppyseed and the raspberry chocolate chips. My friend chose the “Single & fat” option (😂 what a creative name) which was the raspberry jam and she chose the cookie sandwich option. Both were just amazing! My favorite the lemon poppyseed hands down!

Google
Oh my goodness oh my goodness!!! So many flavor options to try and match for a perfect summer experience in your mouth! They have a garage door to open on nice evenings! Great spot to meet friends or someone for a first date.

Google
I really like this new gelato place! It’s a bit plain and simple at the moment but I greatly recommend, especially in the hotter Colorado weather I think prices are reasonable for the potions and the flavors really pop. The staff was amazing and their rewards program is quite excellent so I do plan to come back! I wish there was a better seating arrangement but otherwise, a solid establishment

Yelp
I can try and find faults in this place, but they are not substantial enough to give it anything but a five for a rating. I keep finding myself coming here, so it seems to be some subconscious five regardless. The staff has always been incredibly energetic and welcoming whenever the wife and I go there. One time, I was mad at myself for not ordering the monthly special, and the staff person gave me a scoop on the house of it. I just had sensory overload when ordering. I had the cookie jar and their ridiculous flavor this last time. The ridiculous flavor is gooey butter cake and caramel, and that alone is a good reason to go. It is as good as it sounds. The flavors are creative, and there are two rotating flavors each month that are equally as creative. My two digs on the place are nit-picky. I wish they rotated in more flavors than two a month or more frequently, and I wish they had a really small portion, as their small is $6. I like getting tiny kid portions at other places. Another great thing they do, which I haven't seen anywhere else, is offer all of the dietary options with multiple flavor choices. Gluten free options, dairy free options, etc., all notated clearly on the menu. And you can't beat the neighborhood it is in, as Tennyson is a really awesome street to explore. Definitely recommend, and see you there...

Yelp
Nope, not for me. Even with the 50% off coupon I got via email, my visit to this location of Gelato Boy wasn't worth the time/money. I stepped into the store only to find that the store was manned by two young female and male workers who were extremely unenthusiastic. The young lady barely said hello (the other uttered no words). There was no effort whatsoever to help me with questions such as "Have you been here before?" or "Let us know if you have any questions", ; they did absolutely nothing where they kept staring at me until I picked what I would want to have. The young woman took my order where she transacted the purchase. The other male worker was the one who put the two flavors (of my choice) into the small size cup which he slid it so it would reach me where I was standing. And of course, he said no words. These youngsters had no customer service skills or whatsoever. I sat at the window to eat my ice cream. And I wasn't impressed with either of the flavors (although the Coffee Chip was a slightly better than the Salted Cookies + Cream.) Their gelato is mediocre at best. It's pretty clean inside however and yet if that is the only positive thing about this place then I WILL NOT RETURN ever again.

Yelp
I'm such a fan of cute places and anytime you add gelato to the mix, I'm all in. We stopped by Gelato Boy on our way back to the car, after having a great lunch. You always have room for dessert, right? A couple of things I really loved about Gelato Boy - first, they use real tasting spoons and are helping to reduce the plastic waste that is never recycled and ends up in our landfills. Such a small change with a massive impact. KUDOS. While we're talking about said small spoons, I used many of these to taste several flavors. How nice is it to be able to sample new flavors, like I did, and then also choose some of your tried and true tastes? Thank you! I was feeling luxurious so had my two scoops in a waffle cone (not too crunchy and with a nice flavor). I choose tried and true, Milk and Cookies but I did taste and love their limited edition: Cornbread and Strawberry Jam (total winner)! And, just in case you're curious, Gelato Boy sources their milk locally and doesn't use growth hormones or antibiotics. Just like using real spoons, they care. Can't eat dairy? No worries, they have vegan offerings. And, they never use artificial flavors, preservatives, or off the shelf mixes. Ummm, YAY. And, head's up - you can get this gelato delivered to your door and you can find it in select grocery stores. Eek! I will be back and will likely bring some great flavors home when I'm grocery shopping next :)

Yelp
Went for a sweet treat for me and my girlfriends anniversary after dinner and this spot was great as the unique flavors made us chose mystery flavors for each other flavors tasted great and the place is chill

Yelp
I AM SO EXCITED I FOUND THIS PLACE! Following a gluten free & dairy free diet, it is so difficult to not only find good gelato (that's not sorbet) and good gluten free cones. Well this place has both! And not only does the dairy free gelato have gluten free cookie dough / brownie chunks, but they also have gf waffle cones! And all of it is amazing! I cannot recommend this place enough
google avatar

Rachel S.

Yelp
One of my top 3 favorite ice cream spots in Denver. I know it's a chain but being gluten free it's a treat to find ice cream with GF cookies in it! And the option of a GF brownie sundae? Awesome!
google avatar

Yelp
We were leaving 3 Margaritas Mexican restaurant for dinner and wanted something for dessert. Gelato boy was right next door. We were pleasantly surprised about all the flavors. I have been on a Lavendar kick since my visit to Denver. The young man provided me a sample of Lavendar poppy and I needed to not to try any other samples. I got the size smaller than the small, which was 1 flavor. That was just right for me. I think this lil nook shop probably gets over looked because of the busy street it's on. But if you happen to be on the block needing a sweet treat they will take care of you.

Yelp
Stumbled upon Gelato Boy by accident while walking to pick my dog up from daycare and boy howdy, what a lovely surprise on a gorgeous spring day! A lot of fun sounding flavors, but I'm a sucker for all things tiramisu and upon learning their caramelized Tiramisu flavor was going away soon (and that it was the employees favorite whom I spoke with), opted for that and a scoop of chocolate hazelnut in a waffle cone. Everything was delicious! Service was great and the spot was clean. Not a ton of seating and the price was a bit steep, which is the bigger reason why I can't hand out a 5 star review. Would totally come back though!

Yelp
Went on a Friday night after dinner and there wasn't a line?!? Score! It's located in the new 9th & Co development so the building is new, fresh and bright. Gooey cake and salty cookies and cream were amazing together - got it as a waffle ala mode for $10. But if you're reading this you likely saw the check in deal for a free waffle cone on Yelp - those cones are made in house and yummy!

Yelp
Cute place with delicious Gelato. I ended up preferring the apple over the pumpkin which never happens.

Yelp
Love going to gelato boy for ice cream. Quick and fast service. You have a variety of ice cream gelato flavor to choose from and some are also dairy free. Their waffle cones are very fresh and crispy. You can also order milkshakes. It's a good neighborhood, staple ice cream place around. Inside there is minimal seating but there's benches and stools for you to sit at to enjoy your ice cream. Overall, if you're in the mood for a dessert after dinner, this is a place to go.

ryan m.

Yelp
Just got a milkshake. It was literal milk with chocolate bits floating in it. Not sure if this employee was new or if milkshakes just aren't good here. Idk don't get a milkshake.

Yelp
I came for gelato after lunch at Postino. They offer 16 flavors of which 2 are dairy free and 2 have gluten. You can get cups or cones. The can make other gelato treats (cookie sandwiches, waffle a la mode and brownie a la mode). They have an espresso machine to make latte, cappuccino and affogato. The staff person was quick & efficient. The AC get it cool inside. They have 2 gender free restrooms that you open with a key. They also gelato pints and swag (t-shirt and beanie). I got 1 scoop each of Black Raspberry chocolate chip, Lavender Poppy, and Chocolate Hazelnut Crunch in a cup for $ 8.45;. I gave cash tip of $2. They have a rewards program (1 star for every $5 spent).

Yelp
This is such a great gelato! I've tried the Sicilian pistachio, the lavender poppyseed, the chocolate, mango coconut and raspberry and all of them were so good! The staff is super nice!
google avatar

Lianna B.

Yelp
This is a review of the gelato pints they sell rather than the actual location as i didn't actual visit the store. This gelato is phenomenal! Ice cream is my favourite treat and I've tried quite a few and the consistency and texture of their gelato is like no other. It is so incredibly smooth. I tried the limited edition single and fat olive oil gelato with raspberry swirl and this one was my favourite. The pistachio and coffee chip are also wonderful. I cannot recommend this gelato enough!
google avatar

Cece S.

Yelp
I love this place. It has such a great selection of dairy free options - like not just one or two either. The service is always friendly, the options are always yummy and you really can't go wrong with deliciously creamy dairy free mint chocolate chip gelato.
google avatar

Yelp
We walked here on a whim after leaving dinner and realizing we wanted ice cream. This was right around the corner and PERFECT. I'm so glad we found it! The store is very clean and have a ton of delicious and unique options. It's not your classes "chocolate and vanilla"! I could barely even decide but went with their cookies and cream and s'mores - SO GOOD. I love you can get one scoop and basically do a half of each to try more flavors. Prices are competitive with other chain ice cream stores, and I would 100% take this spot over any of those any day. So delicious. So creamy. I could eat it any day.
google avatar

Leigh R.

Yelp
Great gelato! Great service! A person in my group has as pistachio allergy and the workers were super accommodating and understanding. We went two nights in a row on our trip and I tried the Dairy-Free Strawberry and the Black Raspberry Chip, both were really good. The actual store was very clean and had options for both outdoor and indoor seating.

Yelp
I went to pick up an order from Postino's and as I was walking to my car, I passed by Gelato Boy, and decided to stop by and support this local business, especially since I wanted something for dessert afterwards. I was helped by KK and the place was very clean, organized and inviting. KK was very nice, friendly and gave me great suggestions. There was a lot of variety and it was hard to choose but I eventually decided on a few pints of the Pistachio Gelato, Dark Chocolate Gelato Sandwich and Straccia-Newtella Gelato. They were all so tasty and just the right dessert after the great feast from Postino's. They have a program were you can get free items the more you purchase. So glad I stopped by to support this local business.

Yelp
I loved the lavender gelato!! Never had lavender flavor before and it's amazing
google avatar

Michael B.

Yelp
Great option for gelato, including several dairy-free options. We lean towards the pistachio and the salted caramel but there are also chocolate and fruit flavors, with a few sorbets thrown in. Street parking can be tough but there's free garage parking a block away, entrance on Albion between 8th and 9th. Counter service with a few stools inside and limited seating outdoors when the weather's nice.
google avatar

Ilana S.

Yelp
I am not a huge ice cream/cold dessert person, but I am so in love with every flavor we've tried here! We stumbled upon the Boulder location one day and were very impressed. Upon discovering there is a Denver location, we have ordered many pints via delivery (grubhub I think) and it is always the best decision! My favorite flavors are the lavender poppy and the pistachio, but we've also tried a few different chocolate flavors and love them all. Enjoy!!
google avatar

Frances E.

Yelp
Very yummy gelato. A little on the pricey side. I ordered three different flavors and the pumpkin was my favorite. I'm sure it's only for a limited time during fall so go try it while they are still offering it!
google avatar

Yelp
Strongly recommend!!! Gelato Boy Is a great small shop that makes excellent gelato! I've been here twice and I was not disappointed! Have excellent selection of flavors and options for both gelato flavors as well as how you want it served. Waffle cones? Check. Brownies? Check. A full flight of Gelato? That's six scoops of affirmative! They got the salty, the sweet, and the savory. All in all the desert hits the spot every time and is amazingly refreshing! Note: parking can be a little bit tricky especially in the evenings. Get there a little bit early if you can, or try to find some parking along the AMC theater. Another side note: I dare not's judge or say what others should do, but I myself went in for the full flight (six scoops) Gelato and it was a bit much. I hate outdoors in the evening, but the stuff melted and got all my stuff together which kind of ruined it for me. So as a friendly suggestion maybe you just stick to 2 to 4 scoops. Otherwise enjoy!
google avatar

Sara W.

Yelp
I wanted to love but was disappointed with the gummy texture and lack of flavor after trying the salted cookies and cream and coffee chip. If you're looking for a 10/10 salted oreo, Bonnie Brae is your place and is also less expensive.
google avatar

Will M.

Yelp
Good service, friendly staff, and good gelato! Could tell it was fresh & "homemade." Birthday cake was great!!
google avatar

Chance H.

Yelp
You make me melt! Yum! After having a huge meal at culinary dropout we walked over to get some gelato. I love the clean and fresh aesthetics inside. They have an amazing selection of flavors. We enjoyed the pistachio and limoncello that evening. We would definitely be back! There also is a little freezer where you can grab and go and take some home for later. I think it's a great option to be able to pick up a couple of pints for an upcoming holiday gathering.
google avatar

Emily C.

Yelp
I was in the area for an appointment, and after passing by Gelato Boy, I knew I would end up here before the day was over! Gelato Boy has flavor options for a variety of diets (dairy free, sugar free, etc.). I am always a fan of ice cream shops that let you combine multiple flavors in a single scoop...makes the decision process a little easier. I got a small with the sweet cream newtella and Mexican coffee fudge. The sweet cream newtella was creamy and wonderful. The Mexican coffee fudge was bursting with flavor, but a bit icy in texture (it was dairy free, could be why). Prices were reasonable and staff was pleasant!
google avatar

Ryan H.

Yelp
When I think of gelato, I think of looking through a case at fancy designs, then getting a small scoop for a high price. Gelato boy changes this up by skipping the fancy designs and trades it in for great tasting, massive scoops of gelato. Plus, for all the lactose intolerant folks out there, they have plenty of dairy free options to keep you off the pot and feeling great. It's right in the center of the 9th and Co district, so might as well grab some after dinner, a movie, or just because you're feeling it.
google avatar

Kevin N.

Yelp
This gelato is no joke, and so delicious! Parking the area isn't bad, which makes this a great after dinner stop for anywhere on 9+CO. They have some great flavors, but the gooey butter caramel won my heart. The gelato here is smooth and perfect too. I highly recommend adding a waffle to it! They warm it up and it goes perfectly with the ice cream.
google avatar

Georgia K.

Yelp
LOVE IT!! The gelato I got was so good. Highly recommend stopping here if you have time. It was a hoppin' spot, so you know it's good.
google avatar

Christopher B.

Yelp
I felt that the gelato itself had a nice consistency to it and was soft and gooey (i.e. no freezer burn or hasn't been sitting around). To me, it really depended on the flavor on whether I liked it or not. Of course, this comes to personal preference but without tasters it's a bit of a leap of faith. The poppy was good for example but I didn't love the nutella. There is a nice selection while not being overwhelming. I would like to try some of the other flavors. This place is more of the 'once in a while' treat as I feel the prices are bit high for what you're getting. Almost $5 for a small feels really steep.
google avatar

Anna C.

Yelp
Cute and clean, more modern feel than Italian Gelateria. The staff is super friendly and the are just enough flavors to not overwhelm you.
google avatar

Sherman B.

Yelp
The tantalizing smells of Gelato Boy brought us in from walking by! Luckily the taste matched the smell! We got two flavors: (1) Salty Cookies & Cream, and (2) Butter Cake & Caramel. PHENOMENAL!
google avatar

Marianna N.

Yelp
The best icecream I have EVER had. I am diary intolerant so there are very veryyyy few diary products I'll allow myself to have (though I believe they have diary free options) but the Gooey Caramel out weighs any consequence I may experience. This flavor, and honestly all their flavors, are so phenomenal that even if I was allergic to diary in a more severe manner I would risk it all for a scoop (with a side of their churro waffle ofc) Plus my pup is a BIG fan of the vanilla bean. 20/10 gelato 20/10 customer service. Every single employee makes you feel welcomed. 10/10 reasonable prices. Like EXTREMELY reasonable pricing.

Nia S.

Yelp
Some of the best gelato in the area. Great location to stop for dessert if you're having dinner in the area. It's surrounded by several restaurants, and probably a much better choice than the dessert menu items the restaurants have. Soo delicious.
google avatar

Nick W.

Yelp
That's a smooth Gelato - delicious! We popped over here after grocery shopping. The place is cute with Pinterest moodboard vibes. They have lots of fun flavors but best of all, the Gelato is light and delicious! I had the cone and would get it again, especially in the summer when the weather is nice. If you're around, stop by! It's great!
google avatar

Gabrielle C.

Yelp
The nicest staff, really yummy gelato. dog friendly:) they gave my pup some whipped cream for free !
google avatar

Yelp
I am in an intimate relationship with their pistachio gelato and I'm not shy about it. Service is always sweet and quality is always great.
google avatar

Yelp
OMGGGG THEIR SALTED COOKIES AND CREAM IS GLUTEN FREE It's literally so so good and I love that the ingredients are so simple. Also the workers are so so kind. Plenty to eat for dinner in walking distance too!
google avatar

Rachael B.

Yelp
I'm so excited this opened in the neighborhood! Their gelato is some of the best around, and the flavors are so fun. I'm also really impressed with the gluten-free options, as my husband has celiac. They have an option of gluten-free cones, waffles, and brownies, and their cookies and cream gelato is also gluten-free - and delicious. Their dairy-free options look incredible too. Their vanilla is a stand-out (!), and I've also loved the frosted carrot cake, straccia-newtella, and gooey butter cake and caramel. It's a little pricey at $5 for the smallest, but you get two flavors. I can't wait to try more!
google avatar

Liz A.

Yelp
Quite pricy ($8.30 with tax for a regular sized to-go portion) but interesting flavors (lavender poppy, earl grey - yum!), creamy consistency and friendly staff. Also, relative to other gelato places, I agree with other reviewers that the portions are decent. It's a convenient stop for something sweet after dinner or a movie in the Colorado & 9th area.
google avatar

Paul W.

Yelp
The ice cream is delicious, and the people are nice. They have tasty dairy free and vegan options! The neighborhood is an insane townhome resort nightmare and eyesore that feels very poorly planned, but the ice cream is worth it.
google avatar

Christina S.

Yelp
Ok I have never been in but I've ordered some delivery ice cream a few times and I was quite surprised at how delicious this was. So back when we would go to visit our Uncle in the little town of Stuttgart (Germany) there was a gelato spot we would always go to and the Hazelnut was always my favorite scoop to get. Their Newtella reminds me just of those fond childhood memories! I honestly can't even believe that it's fairly *lower* in calories than some other ice creams. I'm guessing that's because they use real premium ingredients; either way I'm not complaining. If you are craving gelato or a sweet treat you must go here. You will not be disappointed!
google avatar

Stasie R.

Yelp
The dairy free gelato was AMAZING and the serving size was generous! We were definitely fans of Gelato Boy.

Curtis A.

Yelp
Tastes good but is overpriced. Bonnie Brae, little man, sweet action are all better places to go
google avatar

Kelly B.

Yelp
As someone who has a food allergies, I so appreciate when a restaurant indicates allergens existing in menu items on the menu itself. Gelato Boy is all over that! Truly, I wish all businesses serving food had this information posted because it saves people suffering from food allergies from having to ask questions about every little detail in a particular entrée. Not to mention that the ice cream is delicious! Gelato Boy has definitely won me over.
google avatar

Maria C.

Yelp
Good gelato, friendly staff. The salted cookies and cream was great for the first few bites, but as I kept eating it got to be too salty for me. Stracciatella was good. Mint choc chip was okay. There were some interesting flavors in the freezer section that I would've loved to try (mango lassi) but it would have turned into a sad melty mess by the time we got home. I would come again though.
