25 Iconic Dishes That Define Rome - Rome - The Infatuation
"If Rome runs on espresso, then it luxuriously strolls with gelato. Otaleg (which, yes, is gelato spelled backwards) was founded by an employee of one of Rome’s first gourmet gelato-makers, so it’s no surprise their gelato is among the best. Try the pistachio paired with a scoop of rich dark chocolate, or their silky stracciatella. Also good to know: the fruit flavors change with the season, and are dairy-free." - annie replogle
This was the best Gelato we had on our Italian holiday and the location made it a real highlight. It was the perfect way to spend a hot afternoon, enjoying a gelato at the Trevi Fountain.
We had no issues getting served, even with our kids often struggling to decide. There were plenty of different flavours to try and it did not matter which 5 we bought, they were delicious.
A great memory of our time in Rome.

Think this was my favourite gelato I’ve had so far in Rome, possibly even Italy!
Impressive range of flavours, I had a mix of a blueberry sorbet and a passion fruit sorbet. They were both absolutely amazing, the blueberry in particular was like nothing I’ve personally had before!!
Really yummy, great to cool down with. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would most definitely recommend!

It's one of the bests gelato in Italy. If you visiting the trevi fountain, make sure to try the gelato just across the fountain.

Premium location - you can even take a pic of the gelato with the Fountain in the back. But gelato flavor and texture was not the best

Although there was a long queue when we went but the wait was worth it. Their service was great, the staff really friendly and efficient. The taste of the gelato was amazing. A must try if u venture towards Trevi Fountain in Rome.

Underwhelming experience as all other gelaterias we tried give multiple flavours in one serving but here, we were given one with a single flavour even though we wanted to opt for more and other two had two flavours each. Seems like the staff was in a rush to move on to next order. High priced due to location.

Great ice cream in a very reasonable price! Everything is gluten free, so if you have celiac like me you will love it there! Highly recommend

Yelp
The Gelato was amazing. There are flavors for everyone and anyone, ranging from Snickers to Wild Berry. The staff were all nice and friendly, but it was very noisy inside because it was a hot day. Definitely a good place if you are visiting Trevi Fountain for a little snack!

Yelp
Good gelato near the trevi fountain. Visited this spot twice. Service is quick and quirky. Lots of different flavors to select from.

Yelp
Reasonably priced yet amazing Gelato a stone's throw away (no pun intended) from the Trevi fountain! I got the chocolate cone with the nuts and 3 different scoops of gelato (I forgot which ones but probably coconut, tiramisu, and strawberry.) Unfortunately my hands were full so I couldn't take a photo but they also added 2 wafers to the top of your ice cream which seems to be their signature as I've seen plenty of other passerbys with that distinct type of cone.

Yelp
Very good gelato for being so close to the action. Quick service and great quality.

Yelp
this was my first time trying gelato in italy ! we were at the trevi fountain and saw a good looking gelato shop next to it and decided to give it a try. we ordered a mint chip & coffee gelato. the mint chip was better than the coffee in my opinion! their coffee gelato was pretty soft and almost bordered on liquid-y, which isn't my preference but otherwise the flavor of both were average! points for overall taste, convenience, and aesthetic
