The line can get long over the weekend but weekdays are great. They are fast at making the crepes. It’s crispy and yummy. Definitely worth the repeat visits. You can’t go wrong with the ice cream crepes or the dessert crepes. Nutella is gold.

The cook doesn’t wear gloves or shows that he washes hands. He’ll touch all the fruits bare hands. It still taste good! But if you’re into sanitation and food safety, don’t eat here!

Genki is a staple in the Richmond! I usually come here for the crepes, but the mini-mart has a great collection of items for purchase, including a lot of Hello Kitty candies. I usually get sweet crepes, but I've recently been trying their savory ones and have really enjoyed them. I got the bananas, Nutella, and strawberry ice cream crepe, and it was delicious. There's some seating inside, but there are also benches outside. It's definitely a great spot to grab a quick meal or dessert. Street parking is most likely your only option. There is some residential parking, but only if you're lucky.

I was craving for crepes since I tried the one at Packing House in LA. So I tried to find a good crepes like that. My boyfriend took me to Genki Crepes. It was a small place in a Mini-Mart. The crepes is made fresh and yummy. Quick service and hot crepes for the cold weather Sweet, fresh fruits and tasty crepes! Gotta come back any try more!

Patiently waited for over half an hour in the crowd on a rainy cold day really looking forward to a nice warm gooey crepe, but what I received was completely cold. Super disappointed cause I was looking forward to coming here. :/ maybe I’ll try again when it’s less crowded perhaps it was just sitting for awhile and they lost track because of the volume of orders. Got the Nutella with whipped cream and strawberries.

This place is a really cool combination of a creperie and a little Asian snack mart. The crepes and eggettes are really good and both the vanilla and melon flavors we purchased hit the spot after our dinner. The shop part of the building is well stocked with various Asian snacks including hello panda snacks and yakult drinks. I would definitely recommend for a quick snack or light meal.

They're crispy AND chewy, which for some reason seems difficult to achieve at most places. My personal favorite is the crepe with chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream, topped with fresh whipped cream. They sell snacks, bottled drinks, small amount of grocery, household, and beauty products. It can feel pretty tight inside if it's crowded. However, one downside is the parking situation. It's only street parking, which can be quite challenging in this busy area. Be prepared to circle around a bit before finding a spot. Overall, if you're in the mood for a delicious and indulgent treat, Genki Crepes is definitely worth a visit. Just plan ahead for the parking situation, and you'll have a fantastic time!

What Genki has on other crepe shops like Sophie's crepes is mainly the fact that this place opens so late in comparison. A late night run to here is always a fun time. Genki Crepes has been a big part of my childhood and a core memory so it is always nice revisiting Genki every now and then. Nowadays you can also order on a kiosk which is more convenient. I ordered the Cookie Cream Ice Cream Crepe with Custard+Whip ($8.50). Which is just filled with cookies and cream goodness and a whole lot of whipped cream. I definitely think it would be improved with additions of fruit for extra charge, but it was still good. I will say I don't love the crepe itself as much as some other spots just because here it is very crispy which means crumbs get all over you and the floor. That's just personal preference though. There is also a nice selection of goods in the mart too. They have some asian snacks that I don't even get to see at my local 99 Ranch. It's worth checking out and there is usually a crowd at Genki. Business is booming as usual.

MY ALL TIME FAVORITE CREPE PLACE!!! i love their crepes so much because they are a bit crispy, as opposed to other crepe places that are just soft. kind of reminds me of a thin fortune cookie if you like getting those from the fortune cookie factory down in chinatown. anyways, i've been thinking about this place FOR YEARS. AT LEAST 2 and now i finally got a chance to visit san francisco for the weekend, so OF COURSE i had to stop by genki crepes, even though it was out of the way from everywhere else we were visiting. but, love has no limits and i would travel far and wide for food. so this quaint little shop is actually also a mini grocery store and at the front, next to the register, is where all the magic happens and they make their amazing crepes. it's located on a cute street with a bunch of other shops and restaurants, so it's also really nice to walk around. one of the nicer neighborhoods in the area, i would say!! while walking down the street, i got a whiff of the iconic crepes and i knew i was close... after walking for almost 2 miles, excited is to say the least LOL there was no line when we got there around 3pm but there were 2-3 people who were waiting for their crepes. there is also a bench against the wall where you can sit and wait for or eat your crepes. and three additional benches outside. ordering is super simple and they have a wide variety, which includes both savory and sweet options. my boyfriend and i decided to order a sweet crepe with nutella and mixed fruits. it cost about $9 which is pretty solid given the size and amount of toppings they put. the mixed fruit crepe came with strawberries, diced mangos, and banana slices, and it was delicious!! the crepe was a tad bit crispy near the top and nice and soft towards the center/bottom. the fruits were all fresh and top notch quality, maybe not the sweetest but still quite tasty and it honestly offsets the sweetness of the nutella perfectly. the crepes are made fresh to order and you can even watch them cook/put them together. they didn't take that long to come out either, and they provide utensils and napkins, which you will need because it can get messy haha. overall 10/10, would return any time im in the area!!

Sooooooo good! What a crepe should taste like. Been going here since forever, glad it still exists! Crepe is nice and crunchy, big hefty size, definitely shareable. A dessert worth stopping for. They have pull apart erasers (I never see these anymore!!), limited edition Koala cookies, Hello Kitty instant noodles, Smiskis, etc. Love this type of spot, brings such a sense of nostalgia.

I've been coming here over a decade ago and the milk tea was always really good. But nowadays the milk tea is too sweet and they refuse to let you lower the sweetness. The crepes are still good but it's sad to see they are dosing the tea with more sugar and that is just not authentic. Stop making the milk tea so sweet! That's wrong!

I finally got to try Genki crepes! Every time I eat dinner in the area and walk by Genki, it's always so busy. To avoid making my friends wait for me and my sweet tooth, I always end up saying "next time"... but this time I finally went. I ordered the banana+caramel+custard crepe because I wasn't really feeling ice cream. Honestly the flavor is just okay. Not as tasty as I hyped it up to be in my head. The ice cream and whipped cream does make the crepe look more like a classic, decadent dessert crepe, but I also saw people absolutely struggling to keep their crepes upright. The ice cream melts quickly and totally destroys the structural integrity of the crepe, causing it to drip, tear, and fall apart. Service is friendly and decently quick given the volume of customers. Overall, I'm glad I tried it. I think next time I'll get a crepe with ice cream, but only if I bring a friend to help me eat it quickly.

Great crepes. Very simple and in a non-discrete mini store. I got a banana and nutella crepe and this was a yummy crepe--you have to pay a bit more for a few extras. There is a LOT to choose from. The crepe was a bit dry and harder than I like, but it was still tasty. This place has an ordering system next to the counters too in case you don't want to wait in line to order. Very convenient.

It's a really cute hole-in the wall kind of neighborhood market. I swung by after a nearby appointment around 4pm on a Friday and there were only 2 or 3 other people inside at the time. They make all crepes to order, and it only took around 10ish minutes :) - Strawberry Nutella Crepe ($7): this is a pretty good crepe; lightly crispy and generously filled with strawberry slices and nutella throughout the crepe. It comes nicely wrapped in a holder that made it easy to take and eat on the go. I can't wait to come back to the Genki and get another crepe! Super fast, friendly and tasty crepes, and you get to look through some fun snacks and drinks while you wait for your crepe to be made if you like!

My cousin took me here as she'd tried their egg puffs before and loved them, but wanted to try crepes this time. I was honestly underwhelmed by both of the sweet crepes we got, they were really thin and crispy and only had a small scoop of ice cream + a topping for around $9-$10 each. I could see myself maybe coming back to try the savory crepes or egg puffs instead if I'm already in the area, but I don't think it's worth going out of the way for.

I got the Strawberry and Nutella crepe. The strawberries were sweet and crepe was fresh, resulting in gooey Nutella - yum! For $7, this was an absolute steal. Definitely interested in trying one of their ice cream or savoury crepes on a future visit! They are open late but note that it is a grab and go situation, there's no seating besides a bench on the wall. They also have a decent selection of Japanese snacks. If you're looking to try unique Kit Kat flavours, this is the place.

The bubble crepe was awesome, i got the one with strawberries and Nutella. The service was quick, when we went, our wait wasn't too long, what killed the time was being able to grab other yummy snacks. The vibe was dope, as it was definitely instagram worthy. I LOVE the crunch! It is the perfect sweet treat on Clement. The staff is always very nice and there are plenty of options to choose from (both savory & sweet). You can get pretty crafty with building your own personal toppings too! I love to shop around the convenience store and get cute snacks and toys while I wait for my order!

I've been coming to Genki for snacks and candies for a while but recently tried their Teriyaki Chicken and Mozzarella Crepe! Tasted almost like a pizza? They threw in some green onions which I love. I will definitely return to try their other crepes and definitely recommend their selection of Japanese Lays chips (they have flavors like seaweed and yakitori and Hokkaido cheese). They also have many Japanese candies and goods. Total sleeper hit because of how unassuming it is on the outside! Has been there forever and I hope they will always be. It can get pretty busy after dinner as there are many restaurants in the area, but service is quick during off hours! Highly recommend for all snack needs.

I came here on a Friday night and it was packed. The store had lots of cute nick nacks that you can only find in Japan but they were really overpriced. I was looking forward to getting a sweet ice cream crepe but noticed the ice cream looked a bit freezer burned and off colored so I got an egg puff instead. You order at the counter, minimum $5 for card. I ordered a vanilla egg puff and it came out in 10 mins or so. When I first received the egg puff, it looked a little sad in the bag since it was super floppy but it was actually the perfect texture - crispy on the outside and a bit soft in the inside. The taste reminded me of a fortune cookie. The vanilla flavor was apparent but I didn't mind since I like the flavor of a fortune cookie. The egg puff with tax was around $5.17.

My girl friend got the ice cream crepe it was also delicious. Service is good. Fast and efficient and clean. Not much to say about service. The store is sort of a hidden gem. You wouldn't expect them to sell crepes. The outside looks like a normal convince store. Great place to get after a hot day at the beach or after dinner desert.

I don't go out to get crepes very frequently so this was a pleasant surprise. After a nice meal at any of the nearby shops, it was nice to have a perfectly crispy crepe with sweet fillings. The crepe hit that exact texture that we were looking for: basically waffley. The crepes were great and filled to the bottom with whatever your filling choice was. We got the banana and red bean ice cream crepe and then a chocolate cake crepe. I could highly recommend it. While you wait for your crepe, you can browse the inside of the Japanese mini market. I think it's such a fun San Francisco/ Bay Area thing to have a Japanese market, serving a french dessert, made/run by Hispanic people. Really shows the diversity of the area.

It took way too long to finally go here! Genki is the neighborhood spot. Every time I walk by as night, I see a bunch of people around and lined up. They close at 11/12. So, they're a great after dinner or late night snack spot. I bet everything on their menu is great. I got custard, caramel, and banana crepe. The crepe was gone in a flash. They also have a lot of good snaps and goodies inside.

So yummy!! 4.5 stars I was craving ice cream and remembered I saved this place to my 'to try' list. The crepe was crispy but soft? Tasted so yummy with the Nutella that was softening it but it still had a crunch! Ice cream was just normal ice cream you find at like a buffet. But it didn't disappoint! Staff were super friendly! Smoked salmon crepe - the salmon was quite salty so the cream cheese balanced quite well. Green tea ice cream & strawberry crepe - lots of fresh whipped cream! While the crepe was good, the menu could be more simplified to just list ingredients and make it customizable. We just wanted a simple combo of green tea ice cream and strawberries but like one of them had to be an add-on? Either way, we got what we wanted and pretty happy.

The crepe was CRISPY, strawberies were fresh. No complaints here but the only reason it's not a 5 is just due to the price and the wait. They're located in the Inner Richmond district and I usually find easy parking in this area, which is a huge plus. Genki Crepes is located inside of a cute mini-mart so you can peruse cool items they have in stock while waiting for your crepe. Service for ordering is usually quick even if the line is long. My go-to order is always the #1 with vanilla ice cream and strawberries topped with whipped cream. Crepes always come out soft and crispy and pairs nicely with the vanilla ice cream and fresh strawberries. Their whipped cream is my favorite part of the crepe as it tastes super creamy and I think they make it in store as well. If you're in the area, definitely come check this place out!

It's impossible to miss Genki when you're in Inner Richmond. You can literally smell the sweet heavenly air from down the block. They have a variety of sweet and savory options, and the ordering process is quick and easy. After you order, you can watch them make your crepe. My red bean ice cream + banana crepe was pretty light with crispy edges; it was well constructed so that nothing dripped out. The red bean ice cream they use isn't too sweet, so I had no problem devouring the whole thing on my own.

This place is really the only one left in the city to get this style of crepes! I so miss Crepe Temptations but Genki is a close runner up. I will say that it is pretty pricey if you want to add all the yummy stuff (ice cream, Nutella and fruit!). Service is no frills, and the wait is never too long even though they have tons of people ordering. I also love how they stay open late!
