George Street Pub

Solid place with average food (Chipotle chicken sandwich is ok… but nothing great). They play Ravens games, however the TV is cranked SO loud, you can’t talk to anyone at the table about the game. I appreciate fully playing the sound, but volume needs to go down a notch or two, as I heard others complaining as well.

Our waitress Nikol was super friendly and made us feel welcome! First time going and will definitely be back!

Everything you want in a sports bar; clean, spacious and comfortable joint with great service and excellent pours! I didn't try the food so can't comment but my party seemed to be pleased with their selections. Oh, and we could watch our bowl games from all our seats!

Fun place to dine (especially outdoors) with any size group to watch sports and enjoy the neighborhood vibe. Our waiter (Ben) gave our group spot-on recommendations: try the hazy IPA and baked goat cheese appetizer--SO Delicious! The salads and wraps are also tasty, healthy options for pup fare. And you can't go wrong with the Cuban-style sandwich. Great service and atmosphere!

Incredible bar, fun bartenders, great food and drinks! I want to come here everyday but not in an alcoholic way.

Came here for happy hour and it was a blast! Mike was an awesome waiter. He made sure our friends’ birthday was a success and was very attentive. We are locals and will definitely be back!

Came here last minute. It was wayyyy to loud but it was the type of environment for that, but it wasn't my type of place. The wings were tough and dry. The waffle fries were fried way to hard. I mentioned tht to the waiter he said that's the way they're supposed to be. I found that to be odd. Overall 4 outta 10.

I absolutely love GSP! The service is efficient, fast, and super friendly. Every Wednesday there is Trivia which is SO much fun! The food is great and overall atmosphere is super welcoming

My friends and I stopped into GSP to watch the Pitt football game on a Thursday night and it was a good idea. Our party of 6+ was sat right away and our bartender/server took great care of us. He kept the beers coming. My girlfriend and I split an order of nachos and wings and both were very good. The nachos came with a side of salsa that was SO good. Like best I've ever had good. The wings were tasty and had a good sauce to crispy ratio. Overall a great place to hang out with friends and watch a football game.

Chill sports bar. Food definitely comes frozen, not much to that. Bartenders are nice, good amount of TVs to watch the games

A pub mostly for Maryland expats, plus Ravens/Orioles fans. Great food, excellent service, has 1 of the largest patios on the Northside. Patio is very dog friendly, with very large & small tables, 1 TV, dog bowls. My faves are Pretzel Infested :) Walleye Pike, GSP Salad, & super crispy Sweet Potato Waffle Fries. Make a new friend every time I go, plus see Ravens Flock ! Large interior has 2 sections; front is mostly Maryland expats, party room is others who watch sports. Patio is mostly locals; plus folks with babies & pets, such as ravens and orioles ? Lavatories are clean ( I mistakenly went into Ladies 1 time ! ) Staff are rapid & friendly. Mistakes are few, but always result in apologies.

What a great place to spend a late summer/early fall evening! A friend had moved to the neighborhood and we decided to meet up here. I walked over, but parking looked a bit tough to find on a weekday evening, so I can only imagine the weekend chaos. The patio is large and didn't feel cramped. It's also dog friendly, so obviously I brought my dog :) she was given a water bowl as we were given our waters to start. As a beer fan, I was impressed with the wide variety of beer selection. The size of the beer was also very fair. The menu is typical bar food with some nice additions. I chose the bruschetta burger and it was really good! The waffle fries were really good. too. My friend had the fish and chips, which also looked delicious. The prices were reasonable. The staff were kind and had a good sense of humor. I'm looking forward to heading back here again. A truly great spot for a summer evening!

Good neighborhood bar. Food is better than the average bar in the area, but somewhat expensive. I personally recommend the Chicken, Bacon, Ranch Sandwich tossed in GSP sauce, which is basically a spicy BBQ sauce. The chicken tenders are also very good and are beer battered which is a plus. If you're a football fan the games are always on, it's a Ravens bar.

Two items we did not receive ended up on the bill. The food was a joke. Pub chips ... the chips were tough and chewy (arghhh!) the blue cheese dip had absolutely no flavor. The cheeseburger and fries was served cold, the cheese never melted at all on the burger. The waiter had no idea about any items on the menu.

We got the Italian beef sandwich and added motz and marinara and it was so good!! the waffles fries that came with it were so crisp! The bartenders were all super nice and welcoming as well!

Great dog friendly patio and good bar food. The buffalo chicken salad and buffalo wings were decently tasty, as was the spinach and artichoke dip. The jalapeño cheese sticks were essentially just mozzarella sticks- nothing special. They were out of several wines as well. The bathroom was very dirty, especially since it had seemed that someone had an accident- but otherwise the service was great.

We got a great server unfortunately the bartender who was there that nite it was very nasty and rude .. I don't think I'll be back . Even though our server was great. Food is just all right. There is better options in the area with and excellent treatment to their customers.

Too loud. Look at those sound pressure levels. Not even healthy for visitors who are there for more than two hours let alone the staff who are there for a full shift most nights if the week. Some acoustic treatment in the form on inexpensive panels that would cost a little and serve to provide a huge improvement.

The food is great! I had the chicken sandwich and it was crunchy and delicious. My friend had a burger and he said it was good as well.

George Street Pub (GSP) is an awesome neighborhood watering hole. Staff is friendly and it's a great place to just pop in for a cold one, watch a game on their TVs and/or enjoy a meal. They also have a great patio out back for warmer days. Food is great, I've never had a bad thing here! The owners are great with the community as well. Highly recommend GSP! The photo of the wings are from carry out during COVID19 hence why they're re-plated haha

Great sized patio and fun vibe. The food was good and the beer was reasonably priced. Service was friendly and quick. Great spot for lunch or to watch the game.

Anytime I pay over $15 bucks for a burger, the very least I expect is the patty to be as big as the bun! It was a shame because the flavor was great, but definitely wasted my money on eating mostly bread. The waffle fries were also over fried to the point of them being crunchier than kettle chips. Our server was super nice and chill, but I had a strange interaction with another waitress giving me major attitude over asking for a Diet Coke to go that I paid for. I'll continue to go spend my money at Rocks in Lakeview, but I can say they do have a big, dog friendly patio.

Love their patio and when they have the windows open! Affordable place with good drink selection and solid food options.

Food is decent, but mostly just go for the drinks. Service is mid - but it's a classic, low stakes bar. Great place to meet up for drinks with friends!

Came here as a Ravens fan with a friend to watch the game on a Sunday night. The whole place was extremely clean, organized and homey as they had holiday lights up. Not a dingy sports bar in the slightest. They had three different kinds of beer for their $5 special, both got several of those. We also ordered the steak nachos that I wasn't expecting much from but the steak was loaded on it and it was juicy and tender! All the toppings you'd want. They have their own Ravens gear and I was happy to buy a cute quarter zip sweatshirt. I want to rave the most about the service. Our server was extremely friendly and excited to suggest things to us like she genuinely enjoyed where she worked. I ended up leaving my card in the bill when I left and she ran quite a ways down the street to return it to me. When I'm telling you it was quite a ways, it really was because I wasn't paying attention talking to my friend. She didn't give up and ran all the way to my car before I took off. I wish I remembered her name but she was the best server I've had in a long time. Will definitely be back for the great food, fresh/cheap beer and warm hospitality. Go Ravens!!

This is a good sports bar with an interesting menu that twists the typical sports bar food on it's head a little...but at the end of the day, it's still sports bar food. We came here on a Monday night having heard great things about it and I was a little underwhelmed. The place was really loud and really hot, unfortunately AC wasn't working very well. But our server was very nice and on top of things. The food was just ok, nothing to write home about (enough to write a yelp review about though ). I'd put this on par with Rocks on Broadway.

Great place to grab a bite and cocktail! Probably the only place I got a very cold beer in Chicago! Albeit was a can there draft system was down at the time of my visit. great patio! A must if you in the me or hood! The sliders and pecan chicken strips were top notch!

I'm absolutely in love with the sweet potato fries and the spicy aioli sauce. The sauce was extra spicy today, because I started having nasal dripping. The turkey burger was well seasoned. I prefer turkey burgers over any other meat options. I forgot to tell them to hold the cheese. Otherwise, the food was good as usual.

Great neighborhood bar to grab a drink with people for a casual night. I came here a couple times with some friends and we had a good time each time we came. I've never ordered the food as I felt it was a bit pricey but my friends have ordered the wings before and said it's pretty good. This is a great bar to stop by and watch a game with people. The staff was very friendly and very flexible when I had more people pop by later in the night. They were great in checking up on us and asking if we ever needed another drink. This is a great place to go when you just need a drink but don't need anything over the top as well.

I wasn't sure about how many stars to give GSP, but then I realized we've been here four days and have eaten there 3 times, so that kind of speaks for itself, doesn't it? The food is tasty! I've had a burger which I thoroughly enjoyed and tonight I had the filet sliders. At first glance the two sliders I got looked small until I took a bite and realized they each had nice slices of beef filet in them! Done perfectly! Yum! I also ordered the sweet potato fries, which was nice. I enjoyed the waffle fries, too, but they are much better warm! Our ladies ordered salads and said they really enjoyed them. We also ordered calamari, but have to say there wasn't a lot of calamari in the order, so that was a bit disappointing. Emily, our server, took great care of us, which we appreciate. We had 4 adults and a toddler and were regretting a 30-minute wait, but she was able to seat us early, for which we were very grateful! We're in the area for another 8 days and are pretty sure we'll probably be back, given that is is just a short walk from our AirbNb. Check out GSP!

The food was really unfortunate, possibly the worst I've had at a Chicago bar. Fries were unsalted, the wings were bone dry, and the steak quesadillas were ... well I don't what they were to be honest, except almost unedible. I looked at neighboring plates and they looked equally unfortunate. Good service, friendly staff.

After ordering takeout, there is no chance I'm ever eating there again. 1. Ordered mussels and the chicken chipotle sandwich. Website said it'd be $25 plus tax. Paid $40 when I picked it up. 2. I get mussels pretty much any time they're on a menu. Those were the worst mussels I've ever had. 3. The only bite of the chicken sandwich that I had tasted like I was biting down on a balloon.

Beautiful outdoor patio (dog friendly), good place to grab a drink. The food was mediocre however. We got the chicken and waffles which were fine but not amazing. I'd go back to grab a drink (they have good specials), especially in the summer but would not go back for the food.

Seriously, best meal ever. I had spinach & artichoke dip (plenty to share). The fish with potatoes & green beans were so good. I got up in the middle of the night to eat the leftovers. My sister had pork tacos and had enough for 2 meals. Dana, the owner, introduced herself.

This place is awesome! I was in town this past weekend from MD to run the marathon and we sought out a Ravens bar to watch the game Monday night. I couldn't believe the energy! We felt like we were at a bar back home! The food was amazing, the beer selection was fantastic, and the best part was the staff!! Ronnie & Edgar were behind the bar and they were above and beyond awesome! Will absolutely be back next time we come to Chicago!

Great food! We ordered the spinach artichoke dip and it was wonderful! I will definitely be back for the dip, but the rest of the food was good also. The bar was fairly packed for a Saturday at 2pm, so it was a good atmosphere. I would recommend this place for some quality bar type food.

Such a cute little pub! George street pub is the perfect location if you are looking for a low key place to grab food and drinks. They have a super cute outdoor seating area which is perfect during the summer months. Indoor seating is also super breezy as they have huge windows which they had opened. I ordered the fish and chips which was honestly one of the best I've had. The batter was super crispy and the fish was nice and moist which is what you're looking for in fried fish. The cherry on top was that they offered waffle fries!

Solid bar in Lakeview! This place has cold drinks and really great bar food. Highly recommend the dipped chicken fingers (they don't come with fries though). The service is excellent and the staff was awesome. They were always coming to our table to check in on what we needed every 15 minutes or so. Great atmosphere.

I ordered take out from here and the staff was very rude and unhelpful when I tried to pick it up. Two servers ignored me as I asked to pay for the takeout sitting on the bar top, finally I managed to get someone to help me. The food was mediocre at best- hopefully you like waffle fries...

Went after work with a couple of friends, we enjoy the outdoor patio! I had a couple beers, they have a nice selection of local craft beers! I ordered Fish and chips, they were good and the fish was fresh and crispy. I'm looking forward to going back!

Overall: When it comes to casual pubs, this is right up there with the best. The good: Awesome food at very reasonable prices. Everything tasted great. Came out hot and they have a good selection. Good beer list with lots of options. The service was very friendly. Outdoor seating and plenty of TVs. Clean atmosphere. The bad: Really, I don't know if there is anything. I mean, it's a pub. It's not anything fancy, but it doesn't want to/need to be. Atmosphere: 8/10 Service: 10/10 Food: 9/10

Service service service. I get its covid. I just spent the summer workin in New Buffalo Michigan as a bartender. Customers were IMPOSSIBLE. But forreal...always a smile on my face, always a "hi, hello, how are ya?!"... Not here. Server didn't greet us. Didnt tell us her name, i had to ask. Didnt check on us. Just downright no care. She was busy but goddamn it takes 1 second to say hi or hello or 5 seconds to ask "how are the drinks" Just annoyed.

Love this place. Food is always great, drinks are great, the staff is even better. Love, Luke

I rarely write reviews, but I needed to for this business. I met a friend here for dinner and he said our "server", Ana had been ignoring him prior to my arrival and he was frustrated. I didn't know anything about our waitress nor she did not speak to us at all. She finally asked if I wanted a drink and after finishing, she never came back to check up on us. She constantly passed our table and did not make any contact with us..... at all. At this point, I wanted to switch servers. I had never experienced anything like this in my life. I used to come here all the time but after today, that will not be happening. We weren't even asked if we wanted to place a food order. My time is precious and I wasn't going to wait anymore. We closed out and chose a different restaurant for dinner. I didn't realize we would have to ASK for service while dining. GSP, have a word with Ana and watch some informative customer service videos with her.

Called to make sure they were dog friendly, walked in after another few people with their dog and we got yelled at for bringing our dog in. The. Was ignored when I tried to walk in without my dog. Overall irritating and didn't even eat here the service sucked so bad.

This is our favorite ravens barn Chicago. Granted it might be the only ravens burger that I know in Chicago. Every time I go end up seeing somebody I know from back home and every face is friendly. The staff has been the same every time I've gone, all extremely friendly all extremely helpful. They've added a small breakfast menu to accompany the lunch menu and it's been great to have the choice when we go in early for games of what meal we want to eat. The room is electric during the games, everyone is united for the same team. It's fun to come together with fans or people from Baltimore and root for a number one team! Friendly With other fans, (maybe not Steelers fans) but deep down this really is a ravens bar.

First time in and was treated so poorly by bartender that I will NEVER be coming back. After over 45 minutes of waiting for my check/waitress, I decided to go up to the main bar to ask if they can get me my check. The bartender was SO incredibly rude and told me that "it's not his problem, he's busy, and that I need to find my waitress." Dude needs an attitude adjustment for paying customers. All I was trying to do was pay so I could leave, after waiting forever as it was. I honestly thought about just leaving due to how incredibly rude this bartender was. After walking around and not seeing the bartender/server, I was about to just leave when I saw the main girl that was waiting on us and she came up and apologized for the wait & Said that she forgot about us (it happens, I used to be a server) and that we didn't have to tip her. We still tipped her $8, but was pretty disappointed that they didn't discount our meal or. A guy that was also helping wait on us came up and I explained what had happened with the bartender and he said he'd go get our check (didn't apologize). No one even apologized for the way we were talked to by the head bartender and that's what irked me the most and why I will not be coming back. He wasn't even busy. Pretty sad when it's your first time in and someone ruins your experience because your rude.

Been coming here for years. At first, we came because it was a Baltimore bar. Eventually, our friends who are fans of other teams (bears, lions) joined us because it had good drafts, great food, and good service on game days. Now, I get no arguments when this is my suggestion for weekday evenings, patio drinking summer days, or basically anything at all. Tl;dr: great bar with quality food. Love george street!

Since this restaurant is right around the corner from one of my daily dog walking clients, I thought I'd give it a try during the Chicago Take Out Challenge. I'm vegan so I ordered the quinoa burger. It was delicious and huge. It came with tasty waffle fries too. The customer service was good and the food was ready quickly. I'll definitely be back.

I've been to George Street at least a dozen times over the past few years and have never been disappointed. The menu is a step above typical bar food and is always excellent. The servers are always attentive and friendly.

This place is amazing!! both times I've gone I've ordered the grilled chicken sandwich - and the patio is dog friendly. The staff is super nice and the food comes out in about ten minutes. 5/5!

I Came here in Super Bowl Sunday and had a good time. The bartenders are friendly and they had some good specials for light beer. I stuck with the specials tonight but there craft list was extensive and diverse. I was pleasantly surprised with the food too! They had a buffet for the super bowl for $10 so I figured why not. The in house chili was great, along with the meatballs and chicken wings. As a classic neighborhood pub, I'd like to check this place out again another night that isn't the Super Bowl. I am certain I'll have a great time! Cheers

Nice location, good sized patio and I love that its dog friendly (outside) Food is ok, not great. Calamari should be avoided. We tried quite a few things and the chicken and waffles was probably the favorite. Service is so-so. A little slow, but the real issue is that one of my group ordered a drink with soda in it. The soda was completely flat, two of tried it to see. Waitress response was "No. We checked it, it's fine". Oh. Ok. So I guess we were wrong???

Last night a group of us went to GSP for dinner and drinks. The patio is absolutely stunning. What a gorgeous place to eat and relax with friends. The service is spot on! The owners clearly care about their staff, their customers and their overall professionalism in their establishment. We enjoyed the pretzel crusted walleye, the jambalaya, the bruschetta burger, and the jalepeno panko encrusted cheese sticks. We were delighted with everything at GSP.

Decent evening out, but lackluster service. I visited with a friend for happy hour. We waited a while for service (at least I did, my friend already had a beer). I was surprised as we were sitting at the bar.... If the service would have been more attentive, I definitely would have ordered another glass of wine, but alas.... It's an ok spot which filled up quickly. They had a decent selection of beer and wine and enough people were visiting for an early dinner that I assume the food is good. However, atmosphere was nondescript, sort of like a work break room. Service was ok, but didn't go above and beyond - we finally had to flag down a server to help us at the bar. Not really worth making a destination out of it, but ok if you're in the area.
