The ambiance is great. I loved the decor and music. Service is friendly, courteous and helpful. We enjoyed our meal without a rush. The food was fresh and delicious. I loved the lentil soup. I devoured it and forgot to take a picture. The restaurants is wheelchair accesible and family friendly.

Best Meal of Our Long Beach Visit! George’s Greek Cafe delivered top-tier food and service from start to finish. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive—our drinks never went empty, and the service made the entire experience even better. We started with the combo appetizer, which was perfect for sharing and full of fresh, bold flavors. The Greek wine was both unique and delicious. For mains, the gyro and the Greek chicken sandwich were bursting with flavor—absolutely delicious! Dessert was the perfect finish: the mini baklava, creamy ice cream, and warm Galaktoboureko with its flaky pastry and custard filling were out of this world. This was hands-down the best place we ate at during our Long Beach visit. Highly recommend!

Yesterday Took the wife and kids to George's Greek Cafe to celebrate her Birthday. Her favorite plate is the Lamb Chops. The atmosphere in this place was amazing And the service was outstanding our waiter Obet was amazing and very helpful In recommending food options for me and the kids Food was great and delicious as always We definitely love coming here

If you want a true Mediterranean food experience, George's is the place to eat and enjoy! All their food items are prepared excellently and the taste is magnificent! I'm a twice a week person to this establishment and it's worth it!

OPAAA! Food here was fantastic! The Lamb chops were super juicy and had a good amount of meat. My salmon had this yummy seasoning, with creamy feta and spinach on it that gave it some extra flavor! I loved the appetizer combo because of all the variety, you really get a little taste of everything which is perfect if you're indecisive like me haha. Top Tier service. Our waiter was polite and helpful. He went over the whole menu because this was our first time! Our glasses were never empty, everyone was very accommodating. And we got a free Baklava as new customers, so nice! The inside was very nice. They have a full bar, downstairs and upstairs seating. The space isn't huge but still felt open. It is street parking. It's surrounded by tons of other shops and restaurants. The decorations were pretty and gave that Long Beach Vibe. I am very happy with my experience here!

Get the lamb chops! You won't regret it. In all honesty, everything was delicious. Very casual ambiance, two floors and patio. Our server was so sweet, she brought us wine samples when we asked for recommendations and she suggested all the best dinner options. I wish we lived closer, we would be here often!

Haven't been here in years. So amazing to celebrate a friend's birthday. The service was incredible, we ordered family style and had plenty of leftovers, the ambiance is beautiful. The neighboring tables kid came over and sing, happy birthday to our friend which was amazing. . And we had an unexpected city council member drop in for a few seconds. Thanks to Fabio and Adam for making our night a memorable one

WOW, this was amazing. As a Greek person, I'm always looking for some great places to eat. I was down in Long Beach for a concert and just had to stop here. The Skordalia was the best dip I tried, and I had the lamb chops as an entree. They were so tender and wonderfully cooked. Our waiter was so attentive and gave us some wonderful recommendations, including wine and the saganaki app. There's a very cheap parking lot just around the corner. I'll be back!

It was so great to eat here again. Our server Simon was absolutely Incredible. He made the night a blast and we learned a lot about Greek food and culture from him. The dips here are the best Greek dips in LA (and I wouldn't be surprised if they were the best Greek dips in the country). The lamb chops were (as always) the Best! It was nice to have a glass of Greek white wine. The ambiance was very nice and enjoyable. This is one of the Best restaurants in LA. And it is by far the best Greek food in LA. Highly recommend! A+ food, service and ambiance. This place would be great for any occasion.

The food was so so delicious. Every single bite was to be savored. We got the lamb chops (ridiculous), hummus and Kalamata spread with pita bread, and a small Greek salad. Ohhhhhh.....and the baklava! To die for! It was delicious, I wish I lived upstairs. You are making a mistake if you don't dine here.

An absolute hidden gem in the Shore! I I love the personable and sophisticated vibe. They recently renovated and the bar area on a Friday night should be the place to be if you live here and/or want a nice glass of wine and a delicious Mediterranean bite any time of the week.

Food and service was amazing. Ask for Fabio as your waiter he was so kind helpful and sweet. He made some great suggestions and sure enough we weren't disappointed. Must try the lamb chops which he suggested! The lamb chops were filled with so much flavor. He even suggested a few other things which we will be back for in the near future

This was my second time trying Greek food, and I now love this cuisine because of George's Greek Cafe. I tried their beef gyro plate (it was huge!) and enjoyed how tender the meat was; it melts in your mouth! Next time, I will change it up and get rice. This is a great starter dish trying Greek food. It comes with salad, fries, and pita bread. I don't eat hummus regularly, so it was cool getting out of my comfort zone dipping the pita bread in it! My friends both ordered the Lamb chops and loved it; the waitress really sold them on it because it was a dinner special or something. We also ordered a bottle of wine to compliment our meal. Just a tip, parking sucks on 2nd street on Friday and Saturday; I recommend going through the nearby neighborhoods to find parking and walk. If you want a convenient experience, make a reservation via the Yelp app.

Growing up in Chicago, I have frequented Greek town since I was a small child and it is one of my favorite spots around. Living in LA, it is really hard to find Greek food and I'm so thankful for George's! They have the dishes I love the most, skordalia and saganaki! The lamb chops are delicious too! A must visit if you love Greek, the service is wonderful too!

My experience here was amazing. Obet was an amazing server! I loved him so much, he was so funny and polite and you could really tell he loved his job. And I love that for him. I also didn't know falafel could be so delicious! I don't think going to any other George's could compare to this one. My first time here but definitely not my last

Amazing lamb chops! Hubby enjoyed his gyro sandwich and the extra lamb chops I ordered to share. Our server Britanny was wonderful, knowledgeable and attentive. Charming little neighborhood gem. The decor is lovely and everything was spotlessly clean. Will be back!

I Came to grab one of my favorite treats that's filled with passion, Saganaki "Flaming Cheese" (see photo) The staff are always humorously attentive and the desert Melamakarona, is a must.

We love George's. We are out to celebrate a birthday dinner with the fam and took the trek from the IE to George's. Parking was horrendous but we expected that because it was a Friday night The place was rocking,l and we were seated in about 10 minutes. The service was amazing, and they were fully staffed. Watching them move with orders, food and beverages was a well choreographed dance and entertainment enough. Our food arrived quickly, and tasted amazing. My only knock on our visit was the gyros were plated wrapped and upside down. It was impossible to pick up without destroying the sandwich. My new love is the garlic feta fries, they were amazing. Lamb was tender and the salad was on point. All in all 5 stars. But STOP PLATING THE SANDWICHES UPSIDE DOWN.

Went in for a birthday dinner. They were very accommodating for a party of 8. The server was very good & kept up with all our needs. For an appetizer we had the saganaki. The cheese with the brined olives was amazing. A great appetizer. For my main course I had the stuffed salmon combo. Was not overly impressed with the dish. The stuffed salmon was a little dry with a small amount of feta spinach stuffing. The rice was good. As far as the vegetable combo of carrots and broccoli, the broccoli was done just right. The carrots, however, were undercooked. I would not order this dish again. They seem to specialize in lamb chops. They looked very good. I would definitely try those next time I go back.

The Spicy Peta and lamb chops are my go. 10/10 place, the waiter was amazing he was so nice.

George is always has fun people and great food. There's no reason why anybody's crazy mind that if you like Greek food you wouldn't go to George's.

We had an amazing experience! The food was outstanding, and the service was exceptional. Simone, our server, was such a delight. There was another gentleman that helped my daughter and I with some of choices and he was just as friendly and helpful as Simone. My daughter had the lamb chops, and I had the lamb special that they only have on Fridays. Best baklava I have ever had. We will definitely be back when we are in the area again.

Really yum! Came here with my boyfriend and we both raved about this afterwards. We're definitely looking forward to coming back! We both ordered the gyro plates and the chips were so good too with it! Our waitress was also very kind and attentive. I highly recommend if you're looking for good Gyros!

We were so happy when Nicky reached out to ask us to try George's again. This is consistently an amazing restaurant and for whatever reason missed the mark the last time we went there. So happy to see the restaurant quality is the same delicious food that we've always received from George's Greek Cafe. We started with the fried cheese, which was amazing- Opa! Perfectly prepared table side; it's a treat to watch the flaming cheese. It get the party started for sure! The lamb appetizer was juicy and flavorful. Perfectly charred. My salmon was very good. I love this dish with the added spinach and feta stuffed inside. The vegetables and Greek salad were crisp and refreshing. My friend really enjoyed their Greek Chicken Sandwich. The desserts were perfect. Who doesn't love a Booty Call that doesn't talk? And Baklava is always a perfect way to end the evening! Thank you Nicky for a lovely meal in a beautiful setting with a wonderful server, support staff and manager! We look forward to enjoying George's Greek Cafe again soon.

Today my friend and I had the pleasure to be severed at the bar top by the beautiful owner, she shared history about her family and the company. It was such a pleasure getting to know you, you are an amazing woman. It is nice to know that our community has business owners that are so kind and humble. We had a wonderful lunch, a great time and to top it off the food was AMAZING! Thank you again for your amazing hospitality.

The food is delicious, I had lamb with veggies and Greek salad. The lamb has a rich taste and savory. George Cafe has a cozy and casual atmosphere with a mix of indoor and outdoor seating. the staff is friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back.

I was trying to find someone to replace my hidden screen door for my French doors, but was unable to get anyone interested in the job. A friend suggested I try the Thumbtack app. I got 3 vendors responding right away I chose Wilson Window and Screen because they had NOTHING but 5 star reviews. Nothing less than 5. I hadn't seen that before. Usually there is at least one Grumpy Gus... but no, not one. So I called these guys, we set up an appointment, got an estimate and they finished the work as soon as the parts came in. I agreed with all the 5 star reviews and then some! Professional, great workmanship, reasonably priced, and they cleaned up after themselves. I am a VERY happy customer and I will definitely use this company again if I have any window or screen issues.

My favorite Greek place in Long Beach!! I always get the Greek salad with falafel with a side of hummus. And to top it off - the baklava & greek coffee are the cherry on top. Shoutout to Nikki and Doug for always making me feel like family when I come. 10/10 service always!!! Thank you i'll probably be back in a few days

We were here during the dinner hour. It was not so busy. We ordered the combo appetizer and the house beer along with the chicken Gyro plate. I would have to say the best thing was the beer next I have to say it was the combo appetizer. I would put the chicken gyro plate in the end because it was not really my favorite. Overall it was worth it to give a try. Not a quite place since it is in downtown.

if you want great Greek food, George's is very very very good. I always get there gyros but the appetizers are really really good too. I'm talking to the phone I'm.

No one was sitting inside! We had the whole inside to ourselves so we sat at the bar! We went for lunch! It was fun! The food was good! As always! Never a bad restaurant to go to! Prices are decent! I wanna eat here again! The service was good too! Look at your photos!

What a great place! My only regret is not having found it sooner! Wow! Spectacular meal of lamb and potatoes with salad. The portion was generous enough to share! The house pinot noir was the perfect pairing. My daughter and I went on a Friday at 5pm just before enjoying the Christmas lights of Naples. One delectable meal topped off with a greeting from the owner and a beautiful piece of baklava! I'm hooked and will definitely be returning before next Christmas!!! The drive from the OC is a no brainer! Loved every minute! Thank you!

5/5: $40 Lambchop entree: I asked for no lemon and they were able to honor my request. Their rice is silky and fluffy. Unfortunately, I don't understand the chopped side veggies of ashy carrots, broccoli, and peas. The veggies seem like they came out of a sad elementary cafeteria lunch line (does not need to be on plate). 3/5: SCORDALIA: Mashed Potato, Fresh Garlic, Lemon Juice, and Olive Oil. It tastes like a sour hummus. No potatoes flavor or resemble. 5/5: Galatoboureko Dessert: Layered filo dough stuffed with a custard cream filling and topped with a honey syrup. This is amazing when served hot or cold. Not a sharing portion. Everyone should get their own. I've been here a handful of times and I would come back. 2nd street parking is always difficult.

We had a large group so we had to be seated on two different tables. Our group ordered: Tzantziki- good, standard, as expected Melintzanosalata (baked eggplant, breadcrumbs garlic, lemon juice)- this was new for us. We expected a babaganoush style dip when we saw it was eggplant but this one was green. Still tasted good just different than expected and we couldn't really detect the eggplant taste Scordalia- (garlic potato olive oil lemon juic dip)this might have been our table's favorite dip, super garlicky and creamy Hummus- we liked this, pretty standard good hummus, their pita is really nice and soft Saganaki/flaming cheese- they made this at our table which was fun to watch. It came with kalamata olives (my fave!) and was super tasty Hallumi- we liked this a lot, would def recommend. It came on a pita with a slice of tomato Greek salad- really fresh veggies and nice light dressing,came with a few triangles of the pita as well which was nice Veg falafel sandwich- the falafel was mashed chickpea and didn't have the texture we expected. There were a few veggies in the sandwich, but we would have liked more Chicken kebab- was a little on the dry side but good once you add lemon Feta garlic fries- these were nice and hot, not too much garlic flavor, we enjoyed the feta on top Overall we enjoyed our experience and would definitely recommend this place if you're in the area and looking for a bite :)

I had remembered it being good in the past. But our chicken kabob plate was super dry and small (never saw this size of chicken kabobs before. I almost thought it was kofta. Even fast food spots like zankou don't do this). The steamed veggies that came with it seemed like frozen veggies out of the bag. Rice was good. Lamb chops were the best part but open sesames are way better for the same price. Service was pretty good. Just definitely not worth the price for the meal. Like the last reviewer said, you are better off at taco shore next door. Fries not that crispy either. Kids meals weren't even really Mediterranean. Was nice they brought out waters so that my kids didn't ask for sodas though. Did take a bit for food to come out while next door things are rolling.

The most outstanding thing about George's is the service. Yasmin was our server and she was awesome. Present without being intrusive and really, really helpful. For me, the food was a bit of a mixed bag. I thought the chicken kababs (we ordered them a la carte were outstanding. Seasoned to perfection and super juicy. The greek salad was very good. The hummus was good. And the soup (i always forget the name, but it's got lemon and rice) was bit disappointing. I really love that it's an open air restaurant, and it's on a part of 2nd St. that doesn't feel quite as busy, so it was really peaceful and relaxing sitting street-side.

Not great service at all. The busy boy spilled soda all over me. Waitress seemed super busy and annoyed with us. Food was honestly not great- burnt chicken and bland rice. Kids Mac n cheese was overcooked.

We were going down to Long Beach to see a concert and a friend's sister recommended this restaurant, so we said why not, none of us have had Greek food in a while. Good thing we had reservations because the outdoor dining was packed, and we were able to get a table for 8. To start, Corey was a great server. He answered all questions, made certain that all the variations of menu items were changed (for example no dairy, fries well done, etc.). I needed to send back a sandwich because the cook didn't take the dairy off, and Corey took it with no problem, apologized and a few minutes later got another without the dairy (that was a problem because I ordered chicken and the comeback was beef), but since I can eat beef and everyone was eating I didn't feel the need to send it back a second time. Everyone enjoyed their food, the outside patio was really comfortable (except for a table near us where there was a group of twenty something kids yelling back and forth to each other), we all just really enjoyed the pre-concert dinner and would definitely come back if we schlep down to Long Beach in the future

I had the Greek salad with meat which was very good. Service was fast and efficient for a party of 7. Warm and friendly environment. One of my favorite places to eat in long Beach. Definitely going back.

Great little spot for Greek cuisine. There's a good amount of options, although I expected more, and only 1 vegan option for the meat-less eaters. I love the murals, and the back seating with the vines & grapes lining the ceiling. There's also an upstairs section for seating, and patio tables out front. I got the beef kabob sandwich which is wrapped in pita bread. The only thing was it was kinda hard to eat because it was large kabob pieces of steak. It also got pretty messy while eating. The flavor was perfect, it's just that the meat should have been diced or at least cut into smaller pieces. The fries were really good, but the rice was just so-so. Next time I'll have to try their desserts.

i have been coming here for years. i don't believe i've ever had an issue until today. i had ordered it to go delivery, chicken entrée kebab plate and i can't believe how small the chicken skewers are. i would normally not leave a bad review, but i am just so disappointed because i love this place so much, but for how much it cost i don't believe this was fair, pretty bummed out... and they also forgot my hummus side order

So I had never been to George's before today. This locations is great. I'm not a fan of lamb, so I stuck with things I was familiar with. Had the Tzatziki and hummus. Served with pita and cucumber slices. Both were very good. I'm a salt-a-holic so I added salt and pepper to both. Yum! Also had the Greek salad and added grilled shrimp. All the ingredients were very fresh and portions were just right. The large salad if good for sharing especially if you get appetizers. There's a cheese appetizer that whey flambé at your table. I didn't order it (cheese is not my friend) but two other tables ordered it and it's quite the presentation and looked tasty. Outdoor seating is nice for people watching but the indoor dining was very airy and felt alfresco too. The service was good and very friendly. They also have a bar for cocktails and you can order food there too. I'll definitely be back and maybe try the cheese appetizer (with some prep)! Lots of wines and a few beer selections too. Dog friendly which is a huge plus!

The prices are incredibly modest in comparison to the quality of the food. There are other Greek food places in the area but Georges is well worth it.

The food is awesome. The service is excellent. Staff is very friendly, and you couldn't ask for better surroundings. One of my favorite places to go.
