Georgetown Cupcake

WAIT TIME: Based on the other reviews, I expected for us to wait in line. The line continued to move though so the wait is not long. We arrived around 7 and left around 720. CUPCAKES: We tried the red velvet, vanilla & chocolate, double chocolate, birthday vanilla, and cherry cheesecake. In my opinion the cupcakes are VERY dry! The frosting on the red velvet is good but the only cupcake I would eat again is the cherry cheesecake flavor. CUSTOMER SERVICE: The young lady at the front did a great job moving the line. She sits at the register while taking your order and calls it out to the young man so he can box and bag. That system works efficiently. We inquired about the flavors and she stated done stay the same everyday but they have rotations as well. Overall, we will not visit this establishment again. Maybe some other flavors are good but if the cake itself is dry, there are not many icing toppings I want to continue paying for.

Georgetown Cupcake lives up to the hype! Firstly, it offers a cozy atmosphere, and their cupcakes are truly exceptional. My personal favorite was the red velvet—a perfect balance of softness and sweetness, topped with delicious frosting. Without a doubt, a must-try!

Yes, whatever expectations you have of this, I promise it’s so much better. Line was long but the wait was not bad at all. The. Best. Cupcake. I’ve. Ever. Had. The cake of the cupcake was unique. For example the carrot and strawberry cupcakes you could feel the texture and not just the flavor. The icing was solid and not aerated. Thick icing, the kind that you want on a cupcake. Shoutout to Lydia, employee of the decade. I asked her if I die tomorrow, what cupcake I must try and she said carrot. And let me tell you I could die happy after eating here.

I ordered a dozen cupcakes to be delivered to my daughter at college for her birthday. She was so excited when the box arrived. I wasn't sure how the cupcakes would look since they were send UPS overnight, but they were perfect! They did an amazing job packaging them. I liked that I was able to send 12 different flavors, unlike many other places that only have 2 or 3 flavors. She said the cupcakes were delicious, just as good as when we got them in their store. I would highly recommend!

Small shop on the corner of the street. Not much space inside but they do have a couple small tables to sit at. There was a line out the door the time we went. Cupcakes were adorable and they had a lot to choose from. Perfect amount of frosting. They also had a selection of hot and iced coffees and teas.

This cupcake place, obviously well known before I’ve left this review, is a well oiled machine and is amazing in quality and selection. We got the six pack to sample six different cupcakes and it was fantastic. The best, actually, in my opinion, was the fresh strawberry cupcake. Try all of them, though — you won’t regret it!

It's busy, but the cupcakes are good and the place is cute. Lots of flavor options. I got lemon cheesecake and salted caramel chocolate chip.

If you pay for delivery, be forewarned. Your cupcakes may arrive upside down! But management will take care of you if you send photos right away. If you risk it, I recommend wipes to clean the box and a spoon to replace the icing. You too can become a cupcake artist!
