"Gut-busting breads, heartwarming soups and juicy kebabs—this is the stuff of dreams—and after just one meal at this dreamy café, you’ll be counting the days until your return. The interior has been designed to mimic a quaint village, right down to the ersatz-style street lights and balconies. It also oozes comfort before you’ve even taken your first bite of a soft dumpling. Begin with the assorted pkhali, three salads composed of chopped green beans, spinach, walnuts and leeks, all spiced to the hilt. Winter’s chill doesn’t have a chance after you’ve devoured the chakapuli soup, but really, nothing says Georgian food quite like the acharuli khachapuri, a classic baked bread cradling a buttery, cheesy center that is as delectable as it sounds." - Michelin Inspector

Some hit dishes but some are a complete miss. We visited Georgia Restaurant for a dinner in Feb 2025. The place is very small and cozy with a friendly quick service. Despite the excellent reviews, we however left with mixed feelings due to some dishes being absolutely delicious while others, unfortunately, being a total miss to be avoided (details below). All the food was very fresh and clearly was prepared while we were waiting. The portions are really generous if not huge. Definitely good for sharing. We still recommend Georgia Restaurant, but be prepared for a hit or miss experience on different menu items. Good Eggplant Rolls with Walnuts - awesome! Fresh, tasty, not oily, with a generous amount of walnuts filling. Baje - amazing! One of the best bajes we ever had. Fresh, thick, and overall delicious! It went great with the warm freshly baked bread. Khachapuri Adjaruli - excellent and also one of the best Adjarulis we ever had. Big, fresh, plenty of cheese and very tasty fully baked dough. Bad Soup Kharcho - terrible. We had kharcho it many places and I periodically cook one myself. Never had anything like this. What we got here was just not kharcho. It was a soup with large amount of cubed meat, rice, and black pepper in a broth. Slightly over salted too. No kharcho specific ingredients like tkemali, cilantro, tomatoes, parsley, and the waiter/cook admitted it! The soup tasted like some canned soup. Unbelievable. Khinkali with Lamb - having tried Khinkali in many places our verdict for these is 3.5 out 5. The dough was too thick; the meat was a bit over salted, too dense, and lacking herbs for flavor; amount of broth inside could be more. Chakhokhbili - no good. Overcooked chicken, oily, really over salted, lacking flavor - tasting just salt and oil. Ostri (ordered on a prior visit) - this is a plain meat stew, huge portion. It tasted better than Chakhokhbili, but was also a bit over slated and lacking any distinct flavor. Just plain beef stew.

Fantastic place, very nice and helpful service in choosing dishes. Very good food. Lamb fantastically seasoned. Pierogi and salad sensational. Large portions. My husband and I left the restaurant fascinated. We will recommend this place to everyone 100 percent

Google
This was the worst service I've ever had. I finished my meal before my mother even got hers(see picture). The waiter was terrible, and she had a horrible attitude. They included the tip in the bill, probably because they knew no one would willingly tip them. I was definitely swindled by the 4.8-star rating; it's definitely a 1-star on a good day. The food was just okay, maybe 2 stars. The 4.8 was definitely bought. Don't waste your hard-earned money in this garbage restaurant, if you can call it that.

Google
Had really delicious food here at this family run business. They seem to be BYOB as well and don't serve any alcohol. The bread was amazing, the dumplings were top notch, the chicken in walnut sauce was interesting, and the kebab was really tasty. All fairly priced and a good experience. Definitely worth going to and already planning my next trip since there are so many items in the menu.

We went as a family, and it was delicious. Our kids loved this place and wanted to go again. 10 out of 10

We went to Georgia a couple of weeks ago. It's a small but cozy place. All the dishes that we ordered were great! The freshly made bread was particularly wonderful. The only thing that wasn't perfect was the chicken liver. The taste was good but the big pieces might have been a little dry. This place not only tastes delicious but also is a great value. It's hard to find a place that provides this amount of food at this quality for this amount of money.

Georgian cuisine is delicious, warm, flavorful, and it all makes sense when you look into it's geography and the peoples' history. Ever have a beef tartare looking dish that's actually a beet and walnut salad? Surprisingly meaty tasting. Ever have a bread bowl thingy with cheese and a square of butter? An initially confusing but fun time mixing and then savoring richness with QQ bread. Got a date? Want to meet up with friends for a bite? A cozy, special night out? This is the place.

Yelp
I did really like the place, it's small and cozy. Unfortunately, I felt chilly during all time of the visit, the temperature inside is quite low. I had some Turkish coffee and khinkali with beef and lamb. Food was absolutely delicious! I loved it! Prices are reasonable. The service was ok. I would definitely come back for some good khinkali next time

Yelp
Talk about a gem. This is as authentic as you can get. The megruli is sooooo perfect. The Georgian bread as well. We have very prompt service. Overall a great experience.

Yelp
A great find in the neighborhood! The food was delicious and the service friendly. Our server didn't speak English well but she was kind and got someone who was able to explain things. The cheese bread with the raw egg was amazing and worth the trip just for that . The dumplings were great, large, plump. I had the cheese dumpling and it was fantastic- very delicate cheese filling! The Georgian potatoes were excellent also. The only disappointment was the pickle tray. For $20, we were expecting more! Essentially we only ate the few little pickles and the pickled cabbage . We also got the compote drink which was tasty. Got the small size which was still huge. The other somewhat disappointing thing was that they automatically added a 20% tip! We were 3 people and I thought that was only done when you had a larger party of say 6 people. Parking is on the street.

Yelp
I love it, amazing food and great choices, the best Georgian restaurant in Brooklyn, very clean, and absolutely amazing flavors. Service is great too

Yelp
Very delicious and authentic cuisine! I love everything i tried there, everything is tasty, freshly made and nutricious! I like eating in, as the place itself has great ambiance, well decorated, very warm and inviting! The staff (its a family business) are all super nice and accomodating! A great place all around, cant get enough of their amazing, delicious food! I love the bread with cheese and egg in the middle, it goes with all the other dishes they offer (meat stews come in amazing, out of this world sauce, so its super awesome to dip the bread in it and eat with the meat). They also have amazing homemade napoleon, and yummy lemonades and fruit drinks!! Highly recommend!!!!!

Yelp
I love their khachapuri (it's bread with butter, cheese and egg). It's a great sharing appetizer even my toddler enjoyed it very much. It was my first time at a Georgian restaurant, so our hostess's showed us how to mix it up since it was our first time having khachapuri. I also ordered their chicken kebab which was delicious. You get to pick a side of rice, grilled vegetables or home fries. I picked rice but you can go wrong with anything. Their juice can be shared, I enjoyed the raspberry more than the cherry.

Yelp
Amazing Georgian food! Food: my husband and I ordered 4 things to try and we were surprised at how good everything was!! We ordered the lamb stew, lula kebab, Lamb Khinkali and Acharuli Khachapuri. My favorite was definitely the cheese bread, it was so fluffy and cheesy. It was a giant bread and we saved it for the next day, the bread was still delicious when cold. Try dipping the cheese bread into the lamb stew (was so good!). Still thinking about that cheese bread ~~ We also loved the lamb dumplings, they were so juicy and flavorful (this was my husband's favorite). The pork kebab was really good but I wasn't really a fan of the rice. I'll try to only the pork next time without rice. Portion size is huge!! I thought the portion would be small given how affordable everything was but boy was I wrong. I had leftover for days. This is a small cute restaurant. All the staff there were so nice and friendly when my husband and I went to pick up our food! We'll be dining in next time and I really look forward to trying their other stuff!

Yelp
My friends recommended this place and it was SOO good. It was my first time trying Georgian food and I loved it.

Yelp
The food is absolutely delicious! I had their ojahuri and Georgian salad with feta cheese. The lady who served me was so kind and so proud of daughter who cooked the food. Definitely will come back again

Yelp
A warm, inviting local family restaurant with a cozy atmosphere and delicious food. It looks humble from the outside, and the inside is filled with cultural art, instruments, and decorations. They take cash and walk-in. They also have party reservation.

Yelp
Must try this delicious and delightful Georgian Restaurant. Its very new, cozy and warms your heart as well as your belly. Decor mirrors the culture and hand picked with love. Simple yet, sophisticated. The people who work here are pleasant, sweet and knowledgeable about all the dishes that are homemade. The dumplings are light, airy and flavorful. Don't forget to add pepper. The assorted Pkhali is colorful and fills your mouth with joy. Please order the basket of bread first so it finishes baking in time when your meals get served. Its meant for dipping. Coming here feels like home, being greeted by mom and dad is the chef. Really a great local eatery that should thrive if given a chance. Support small businesses because some of them really deserve it. Cheers!!

Yelp
This is my first Yelp review. I had been to majorly of Georgian restaurants in New York City. I been to few Georgian restaurants in Moscow. Georgian Food is a stand out in terms of quality and consistency. The owner is always present and is very knowledgeable. Hachapuri, Georgian salad with walnuts and lobiani are clearly standouts

Yelp
We really enjoyed this lovely family restaurant. The proprietor was eager to assist with menu and with selection. The food was hearty and delicious. The portions were very good for the price and I am returning home with another full meal. Good stuff! We will be back!

Yelp
Super friendly, delicious authentic cuisine, chef came out to talk to us. Definitely recommend to try this place.

Yelp
It difficult to even give this restaurant one star. I cannot believe this restaurant is in business. Understaffed overcrowded and absolutely NO supervision. Theyjabe high schoolers running the restaurant. We waited 45 min for a waiter to come to the table. And then 2 1/2 hr later still did not get our order. I have never walked out of a restaurant but had no choice here. Embarrassed that we brought visitors to the area here. When we went outside everyone was talking about how long they waited. One table that was eating waited 3 hrs. Unacceptable. This restaurant should do people a favor and close until the can run a business properly

Yelp
Cozy little Georgian restaurant in Bath Beach. Completely authentic -- the food, decor, and staff. Reasonable prices.
