"In 2021 the team also took on management of the Freehand’s Georgia Room as part of their ongoing work with the hotel." - Melissa McCart
"Some hotel restaurants provide a fun scene. Others have good food. The Georgian Room, an Italian steakhouse in the basement of The Georgian Hotel, checks both of those boxes. Hidden just off of Santa Monica’s packed Ocean Avenue strip, it’s the kind of place where you have to buzz a mysterious doorbell and put a privacy sticker over your phone camera before you’re seated. That’s probably why the old Hollywood dining room here is so exciting—it feels like a portal to a dark, ’30s-era dinner parlor where bankers take their secret girlfriends for a rendezvous. The menu is full of solid Italian food, with dishes like hazelnut-crusted lamb rack, and oxtail ragu. But we always go for the buttery New York strip steak. Start with one of the house martinis, and don’t leave until you hear the jazz singer crooning slowed renditions of Brittney Spears songs next to a vintage Steinway." - Nikko Duren
"On Sunday nights the Georgian Room inside the Georgian Hotel shifts its steakhouse-and-jazz vibe into a more family-friendly setup with Spaghetti Sundays from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. every week, complete with red checkered tablecloths and a menu that matches the theme—garlic bread, meatballs, chicken and eggplant parmesan—alongside branzino and a New York strip steak." - Mona Holmes
"Throwing a “spaghetti disco” on April 27, Georgia Room is an influencer-heavy party spot from the team behind scene-y nightlife venues Jac’s on Bond and Ray’s Bar; the lounge’s chef will pass out bowls of dancefloor spaghetti (gluten-free and vegan substitutions available) while DJs spin disco tunes to boogie to on the mezzanine level of Manhattan’s Freehand Hotel, starting at 8 p.m. until late, with tickets priced at $25 and available online." - Emma Orlow
"A hotel bar/room recommended as a potential birthday or party destination, suggested for its hotel-driven nightlife energy." - Tammie Teclemariam
