How to Navigate a Post-Pandemic Disney World Trip Right Now | Eater

"A festival-forward park that continues to host scaled seasonal events with outdoor food kiosks, live entertainment, and topiaries; the international pavilions still offer cultural food favorites (think bratwurst and beers in the Germany pavilion) though some venues are temporarily staffed by regular employees while the Cultural Exchange Program is paused. Larger nighttime spectacles are slated to return in updated form later in the year, and two of the park’s major food-and-drink festivals are scheduled with new dates." - Carlye Wisel

This was one of my favorite spots with a good amount of beer and tasty treats to enjoy. The architecture is amazing to see. Love the vibe wandering around.

Google
My wife and I went to Biergarten for lunch, and we had a wonderful time. The architecture is absolutely magnificent. I read that they were supposed to have a boat ride here in the early days of Epcot, but that fell through. The cast members, most from Germany, were very friendly. I highly recommend this pavilion for eating. Whether it be a to go pretzel or bratwurst at Sommerfest or a nice sit-down buffet style meal with live entertainment at Biergarten or a quick snack of caramel corn or other goodies. The shops are priced reasonably (for Disney theme park standards). The artistry of the clocks and steins is something to behold. The clothing and German memorabilia are worth a glance, too Don't forget to meet Snow White (check the Epcot Meet and Greet schedules for times. If you have children or are fans of Snow White, it might be worth it. Enjoy!

Google
The highlight for the German pavilion has to be its offering as a lunch stop with the beer garden and an Octoberfest serving style. The miniature gardens outside are also fun and the buildings are of course in an older german countryside town style.

I loved Germany! My bf has been talking about this place for years in epcot, so I finally got to go, and the food was amazing!! I never really had German food before, so I didn't know what to expect. I was not disappointed! The show was so much fun and our waitress was so kind. I definitely recommend the soup with the pretzel!! I can't wait to go back!!

Google
Being of German heritage, I loved the display of the cuckoo clocks and the beautiful glass work. The buffet at the restaurant/theater was fabulous. All of the food was delicious. The lager and beer was of good quality too. They even had a show. It is now my favorite place to go. The pavilion was free but the buffet is $49 per person.

Google
Germany pavilion at EPCOT is indeed a family favorite! We were just there in early Jan for my birthday and celebrated at the Biergarten. The atmosphere is one that truly makes you feel you're in another country, a very fun atmosphere. Our server, along with the rest of the staff, was very friendly and prompt! The food was fantastic, and my special shout out goes to the beer cheese soup and pretzel rolls! If you leave this buffet-style dining experience hungry, it's your own fault! Also, the entertainment was so much fun and very interactive! We will definitely make a return here! Check out the shops in the pavilion, too. Lots of great authentic merchandise to bring home!

Google
Walking through made me feel like I was in the little shops in Germany. The Christmas decorations are beautiful. The outfits and hats and t-shirts are awesome. I especially love hearing the staff speak in German! Far a real taste of Germany, make sure you eat a little bit of everything!

Kevin Smith

Google
The Pavilion is great. The entertainment fun. The food was horrible. That schnitzel should be outlawed as is an affront to Teutonic culture. It was dry and very hard to eat or cut. The waitresses were very gemütlich.

Yelp
Outpost + Germany Pavilion - EPCOT World Showcase Caramel dreams, beer steins, and a drumbeat transition into Bavarian bliss There's a beautiful rhythm to the World Showcase -- and right between the serenity of China and the storybook charm of Germany, you hit The Outpost. Not quite a pavilion, not quite a pass-through -- but 100% worth a moment. The Outpost has this Afro-inspired energy that's hard to describe but easy to feel. It's colorful, open, and filled with the sound of drums that kids (and adults like me, let's be real) love to play around on. You'll sometimes catch a food or drink booth during the festivals here -- and if you're lucky, it's pouring a spicy stew, a punchy lager, or something with mango in the name and magic in the glass. It's a perfect pit stop -- like a palate cleanser on your global food tour. Then -- BOOM -- you're in Germany, and the vibes shift instantly. The Germany Pavilion is EPCOT's Oktoberfest fantasy come to life. Cobblestone streets, half-timbered buildings, flowers in every window box, and the sweet scent of Werther's caramel pulling you forward like a fairytale spell. This pavilion is small but mighty. Every inch is a photo op. And unlike some pavilions that lean quiet and cultural, Germany is all about celebration. Grab a pretzel. Order a beer. Tap your foot to the oompah music echoing from Biergarten Restaurant, where a full-on German band turns buffet dining into a party. Karamell-Küche deserves its own review, honestly. That scent? It hits before you even open the door. Don't miss the fresh caramel popcorn, dipped treats, or anything involving apples and warm sugar. Yes, it's worth the line. No, you don't need to share. Want to shop? This pavilion delivers: beer steins, authentic German soccer gear, cuckoo clocks, and enough Christmas ornaments to make Santa jealous. It's charming, cozy, and full of personality. Festival time? Germany doesn't miss. Schnitzel sliders. Cheese fondue in a bread bowl. Apple strudel. Hot spiced wine. Cold pilsner. It's EPCOT eating at its finest -- hearty, flavorful, and best enjoyed with a view of the lagoon and a caramel dribble on your chin. Bonus round: This pavilion turns into a holiday postcard during Festival of the Holidays. Think warm lighting, festive decor, and one of the best storytellers in the park. Absolute vibe. Final thoughts: The Outpost gives you a pulse. Germany gives you a party. Together? They're a perfect one-two punch of culture, flavor, and fun. This stretch of EPCOT might not have a ride -- but it doesn't need one. The magic is in the music, the caramel, and that moment when your bratwurst meets your beer and all is right in the world.

Yelp
They had this caramel sampler. It was like caramel roulette. 3 of them were delicious and 1 of them was spicy! That was rough. I loved browsing the store during the Festival of art but didn't buy anything last time. I just spotted a great portrait of Figment.

Yelp
Being part German, I enjoyed this Pavilion! The little German village was adorable. Super cute. I do wish it was bigger and had more to it, but I get it. There are other countries that they had to represent too. The menu did not disappoint! Prices were cheap also! Schinkennudeln Pasta Gratin with Ham, Onions, and Cheese 5.00 Bratwurst on a Pretzel Roll Bratwurst on a Pretzel Roll fd with Mustard 6.00 Apple Strudel fá with Vanilla Sauce Apple Strudel 4.50 I had to grab an Apple strudel and it was alright. It tasted like basic Apple pie lol But I appreciate the effort lol

Yelp
When we visit Epcot, visiting Germany is always home. . There's a true feeling of Bavarian dreams coming alive amongst pretzels, beer, lederhosen, and cuckoo clocks. I get weepy as I remember my family and growing up overseas, happier times, the culture and the people. If you're visiting Epcot I encourage you to take it all in. Oh Germany....Ich Liebe Dich.

Yelp
Germany Pavilion is located in Epcot's World Showcase. Germany has some of the best food options at Epcot. It doesn't have any rides, but there are some amazing shops. One of the highlights of the Germany Pavilion is the Biergarten Restaurant. It has a wide range of German cuisine such as sauerkraut, schnitzel, and pretzels. Inside the restaurant, there is a band as well. It's quite an immersive dining experience. As soon as you walk into the restaurant, you'll see a lively indoor courtyard. The inspiration is the Oktoberfest gathering. There is a quick service option, the Sommerfest, where you can pick up a pretzel or a beer. The pavilion hosts live performances as well! You should also check out the miniature railroad on display! My family and I went during the Epcot's Flower Garden festival. There were some beautiful topiaries on display!
google avatar

Danielle V.

Yelp
Stop 4 and another favorite of mine. They always have the best pretzels and typically have a special pretzel at different time. I got the ham and cheese on for flower and garden festival and it was amazing. I am not a big beer drinker but they have this great apple liquor at one of the beers. Lots of places to get food and drinks! The buffet restaurant out back is always the best as well!

Yelp
There are just a few places in world showcase we always stop at. Of course the candy is good - lotta love for German candy. Food, steins, clocks and displays of craftsmanship. So it's part of my heritage. Line's too long for pastries - so Werther's will have to last until next time.
google avatar

Yelp
The Germany Pavilion is located at the 4/5 o'clock spot in the World Showcase in EPCOT. There are a lot of beer gardens and shops. As part of the "drinking around the world" journey, we went to Sommerfest to get the drink schöfferhofer pink grapefruit hefeweizen.

Yelp
Really enjoyed the SchinkenNudel 2 years ago and came back to have it again. It's slightly more cheesier and smaller sized than last time. Also had a few sips of the Weihestephaner Service was fast as they just opened. Ambiance felt like we went up to a food cart in Germany.

Yelp
NICE VISIT TO GERMANY PAVILION We enjoyed our recent visit to the Germany Pavilion village square (the holiday lights at night made it extra special). There is no scenic film promoting highlights of Germany or a themed ride at this pavilion. Having never visited Germany, it would have been nice if there were signs that gave some background info about the pavilion's architectural features (such as the fountain and the false castle backdrop). The Germany Pavilion includes Biergarten Restaurant (AYCE buffet), Sommerfest (quick service), Karamell Kuche (bakery and sweet shop), an outdoor beer counter and shops. Outdoor seating is limited to a few benches. At the front of the Germany Pavilion is a large miniature train setup with props that have faded over time. The train was not running when we visited. The EPCOT pavilion shops vary in quality and variety with the Germany Pavilion having some of the better shops. Come here for Christmas decorations, beer steins, crystal, cuckoo clocks, German-branded snacks and sweets, German wine and liqueurs and shirts featuring German sports team names-logos. The shops also sell fun Disney merchandise with a nod to Germany. Here you can get a cute stuffed Mickey Mouse plushie wearing a Tyrolean hat and lederhosen as well as T-shirts, mugs and other stuff featuring Mickey and Minnie in traditional German costumes. Annual Passholder Discount: many EPCOT shops and a few of the EPCOT restaurants (such as Biergarten) offer discounts to Annual Passholders - ask if a discount is available or check the Disney app for a list of places that offer the discount.

Yelp
Germany Pavilion has always been a favorite of mine when I've been to Epcot numerous occasions. I traveled through Germany and visiting the pavilion brings back a lot of happy memories. To me the traditional architecture and landscaping is on target. The employees costumes are reminiscent of a time gone by. I love the shops. I believe I had a cowbell at one time that I purchased in the gift shop. And I'm sure I purchased a beer stein to take home for my father. I enjoyed the shopping and music the most. Make this pavilion one of your stops if you can't go across the ocean to Germany!

Yelp
I visited the Germany pavilion during EPCOT's flower and garden festival and was delighted to see topiaries of Snow White and the 7 dwarfs. Once I arrived at the pavilion I noticed something big was missing!! What happened to the glockenspiel?? Later I learned that it's in for repairs. I loved watching that since it is patterned after the one in Munich. Germany has no ride attractions but it does have interesting shops and a restaurant. Biergarten features an Oktoberfest restaurant with plenty of beer. Speaking of beer, check out both the authentic and Mickey style beer steins in the shops! Don't care to dine at Biergarten? Get a pretzel and beer at the bier cart. Other eateries include Sommerfest and karamell-kutche for Werther's caramels. Arribas brothers is a fairly new shop in Germany. Not only do they carry their glassware from their main store in Disney Springs but also carries German themed glass gifts. The other stores carry Christmas decorations, cow bells, Black Forest coocoo clocks, toys, and other gifts. I normally look for Hummel's here but didn't see any this visit. I bought a Disney themed Hummel years ago at the Germany pavilion and it still sits in my curio. Perhaps the most notable thing about Germany is seeing the miniature RR garden and village next to the pavilion. Complete with small buildings and tiny people figures it's so charming it is definitely worth a photo shoot. Snow White is around near the wishing well for children to meet and greet. Entertainment includes outdoor polka music and the band in Biergarten. Germany is one of my favorite countries in World Showcase. Situated between the outpost and Italy pavilion in World Showcase in EPCOT.

Yelp
Compared to Munich - this pavilion SUCKS! Compared to Orlando, this Pavilion is Amazing. And you can get super drunk here - which adds 8 points out of 10. So, 18 points for this place after four glasses of Glühwein and three boots of Dunkel-Bier (about a liter each). The pavilion itself is just one small square surrounded by shops and eateries. And sure, it looks a little German, or Swiss - but in a very Disney way... meaning "Fake". Otherwise, it actually feels a bit like Germany here. I like it. Maybe one night they'll even have book burnings in the courtyard. But for now everyone is welcome here - even Jews, Gays, Intellectuals, and the Handicapped. So - eat up.
google avatar

Edward J.

Yelp
All of the country pavilions at EPCOT are fun. They provide a glimpse into that country and their culture. Some of my favorites are those countries such as this one that I have been fortunate enough to visit in the last few years. The highlight of each area is of course the food and drinks from that country.
google avatar

Yelp
Germany Pavilion was cute! Lot of things to see and do here, the food was very good and hearty, and I know they have a sit-down restaurant here that people love as it comes with food AND a show typically! Loved how this pavilion was decorated and wished we had spent more time here to check it out more properly, but I enjoyed it from what I did see before we moved on to the next pavilion and it left me wanting more, so I'll definitely be spending more time here next time around!

Yelp
Germany is naturally a popular pavilion - mainly due to the fact that you can grab a beer, a pretzel, and live your best German life. While I'm not a beer person, I enjoy the pavilion for other reasons - mainly the large amount of retail they sell and and the food. The aesthetics are a feast for the eyes - the architecture is charming and the color scheme really makes everything pop. While you can definitely get your beer fix here, I usually head to the shops to explore. Compared to the average World Showcase pavilion, there's a lot of retail offerings. Highlights for me are a large variety of souvenirs and a dedicated holiday shop where you can snatch up an authentic German pickle ornament. Another major component that drives me to Germany is Karamell-Küche - a confectionary shop sponsored by Werthers. There are a number of baked goods and confections made with Werthers Caramel as well as the candies themselves for sale and other products made by Storck. The smell in this place is insane, and they have some of the best caramel popcorn I've ever tasted. Fun fact: this is the only Werther's Caramel store in the country and Storck actually shot their Werthers holiday commercial featuring a caramel shop here in Epcot. Germany will always be a popular pavilion for all the right reasons - food, shopping, and beer. It's an essential to anyone's World Showcase travels.

Yelp
Glen did a great job serving all nine of us, wonderful food, fantastic live band, wish that every community had a place like this.

Yelp
Bier! Bier! Bier! Welcome to Germany! We got you covered on beers and brats here! When visiting Epcot it's always good to stop in Germany for some cold beers and a hot brat. And of course, that's exactly what I did on my last trip. I got the brat on a pretzel bun with the German bier sampler. The beers were delicious and the brat was pretty good. The staff working the outdoor stand were friendly, but they tried to made me pronounce the names correctly before they submitted my order; my German is horrible. "I was a sloushinbergen bier and hooterhinny on bun!". I think they gave up and just finally gave me what I wanted. lol The pavilion blends several different German architectures in the buildings and they do a great job at it. It makes you think you are in Germany for a minute.

Yelp
I love Germany Pavillon at Epcot! It's fun when you can catch a polka band playing outside. Their beer area holds the famous Schofferhofer Hefeweizen that I love to sip on a hot day. You can get huge pretzels and brats quickly along with some yummy apple strudel. There are many cute photo ops and shopping to immerse you in the Disney German culture. I love how the employees of each of these countries are from the country. There is a German buffet on site which I enjoy. They have live music and good food and beer. It's not hard to get a reservation here but one is recommended. Always a stop on my trip "around the world"
google avatar

Andrew B.

Yelp
Cut backs, reduced quality and price hikes have taken a severe toll on my fondness for Germany at Epcot. The quick serve restaurant no longer has Apple strudel or bratwursts. The food and wine festival hut did and both items received major downgrades. The bratwurst was the size of a teeny breakfast sausage as found in a frozen dinner at a grocery store near you. The Apple strudel no longer has raisins or nuts or powdered sugar but does have cheap mass produced canned apple pie filling. What a sad day it was in Epcot for me.
google avatar

Andy J.

Yelp
This is still my favorite Epcot pavilion years after first visiting Epcot. The Germany pavilion has the look of blending several real world German cities, mostly in the Bavaria region. Much of it looks looks to borrow from Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Frankfurt and Freiburg. It really does have a fairy tale feel to it once you walk in. The food offerings are very good (don't miss out on the Sommerfest counter service - you must get the Apple Strudel with Vanilla Sauce) and the cute little shops here offer up things like ornate cuckoo clocks, bier steins, toys, candy and some beautiful Christmas ornaments. And of course there are the giant soft pretzels and German beer too. Beck's Pilsner, Warsteiner Dunkel and the hot weather favorite Schöfferhofer Pink Grapefruit Hefeweizen are available.
google avatar

Sarah S.

Yelp
Guten tag! That's the extent of my German knowledge. Though you won't find any rides in the Germany Pavilion in World Showcase at Epcot, you will see an adorable miniature train village! I love spending a few minutes watching the rails while rolling through the country. The Glockenspiel is another spectacle that's fun to watch when the clock chimes on the hour! Plus there is Glaskunst, a glass shop kiosk with a Cast Member there blowing personalized glass! It's fun to watch for a bit! And if you ever wanted to hear live yodeling, now's your chance! During the holidays, they have a killer food booth in Germany called Bavaria Holiday Kitchen. They had amazing things on the 2017 menu like the Cheese Fondue in a bread bowl for $8.25. It came with 7 small pieces of bread and 2 veggies for dipping. Over the holidays, I also tried the Cider Flight for $9 which included Possmann Pure Hard Apple Cider & Possmann Pure Hard Black Currant Apple Cider from Frankfurt and a Schöfferhofer Pink Grapefruit Hefeweizen. Loved it! If you're feeling hot & spicy, you should try Glühwein - a hot, spiced wine! Their year-long fare includes sit down restraurant Biergarten (tasty German buffet, awesome live music, some surly servers - see my review for full details) and Sommerfest their quick service restaurant. I'm not big on shopping usually but just love all the shops in this Pavilion! A toy shop, sports shop, beautiful crystal shop, Christmas shop, and a BEER STEIN SHOP! Y'all know I'm a beer chick so love that particular little store. Dankeschön! Guess I had one more in me.
google avatar

Stacy F.

Yelp
One of my favorite pavilions in the World Showcase at Epcot. From their buffet style restaurant to the amazing werthers store, they have everything but a ride here! Be sure to venture all the way around this pavilion so you don't miss anything. Towards the front you'll find a Werthers caramel shop with some amazing pre packaged and fresh off the line treats. There is pretty much always a line here as it's a popular spot for a fresh made bag of caramel corn or a pastry. To the right side of the front part of the pavilion is a shop with fun keepsakes and German themed items. Their steins are a must see. Towards the back is the quick serve food stop and also where you'll find the restaurant. There are a few chairs and tables for eating or resting as well! The overall vibe definitely transports you to a small German village and very much makes us want to visit this country every time we visit the pavilion! Overall: A A personal fave is the pavilion offerings! The restaurant is worth trying and the caramel corn is a must.
google avatar

Adam H.

Yelp
It's cheesy and stereotypical, but it's still fun! Just like all the pavilions, they choose the very stereotypical things to accentuate. It is still fun though and I do enjoy a good crisp clean German beer. What is nice is that all the workers are also German, so I was able to practice some of my German. There are plenty of caramels and pretzels and beer to go around. The grapefruit wheat beer that they have is also very good. The little mini Oktoberfest hall is fun and worth checking out. It is nothing like the larger actual Oktoberfest, but if you reduce the scale down to a very small level it at least resembles some of the decor and ambience. A fun stop
google avatar

John C.

Yelp
This is a fun pavilion to stop at for a beer and a pretzel . If you love hot dogs this is a must stop. The buffet is pricy as most are at $45/person so make sure you have a big appetite if you ear hear. The caricatures are fun with sleeping beauty and the dwarfs.
google avatar

Georgette Q.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious!!!! Noodle gratin... The most affordable and most delicious for the EPCOT quick service...it's their snack booth .. under $5.00...
google avatar

Aly W.

Yelp
Honestly, the only reason I'm giving this pavilion one star less than most is because so much of it is overwhelmed by the smell of sauerkraut, and I HATE sauerkraut. And, as someone who is mostly German, I also hate that Germans are sometimes referred to as krauts. Ew. Anyway, everyone's friendly. There's a variety of shops and restaurants. Most people come here for the Octoberfest vibe (wasn't really feeling it, to be honest) and the beer, but for me, it was all about the Werthers store and Riesling.
google avatar

Libby L.

Yelp
You have to try the grapefruit beer here if you're 21+! Actually.. you should try both beers at the beer cart if you're 21+ because they are both great. Germany has one of my favorite shops to explore of all the pavilions.
google avatar

Phil H.

Yelp
Das bier! Prost! One of my favorite countries to visit when in Epcot. German beer flowing like water. So good on a warm day! Great shops to check out. The buffet is terrific and filled with tasty gut busting German food. Entertainment going on inside while feasting. Everyone dressed in traditional garb. Or, you can just get a brat sandwich piled high with sauerkraut and a cold brew to wash it down with at the stand on the outside of the main dining hall and sit at one of the tables to people watch. Don't forget to check out the train and the little village on the side next to this pavillion. It's a cool thing to watch all the trains move about and see how they made a mini version of a real German town. Then get another beer on the way out to walk around with. Maybe a hot pretzel too. Damn, I love this part of Epcot. Prost!
google avatar

Yelp
It was a sweltering hot day when we visited EPCOT. As we approached the Germany Pavilion, I began to notice people walking around with large cups of Beer in their hand. At first I thought I was seeing things...then, I realized....THEY SERVE BEER HERE! I immediately went to the first Beer station I could find and got in line. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/germany-pavilion-kissimmee?select=sxjrpsIHSUbgHr7RsL-Bkg#sxjrpsIHSUbgHr7RsL-Bkg http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/germany-pavilion-kissimmee?select=apzamb-6uVEmXSat7rt16Q#apzamb-6uVEmXSat7rt16Q It didn't matter that the Beer was $8.50....it was liquid gold in my mouth on a hot & humid Spring day. We then browsed around the various shops at the Pavilion enjoying our Brewskies....somehow the day just got better at the Happiest Place on Earth.... :) Return Factor - 95%

Yelp
Of all the money I spend in Epcot throughout a Disney vacation, specifically during the food and wine festival, I feel like most of it goes toward ice-cold, refreshjgSchöfferhofer grapefruit beers (and they have pomegranate this year in the brewer's collection kiosk). The pretzel and bratwurst with sauerkraut are always great lunch or snack options (which is convenient as you'll be in line ordering these beers serval times a day anyways). There's no seating inside, in the shade, but plenty of chairs and tables outside or elsewhere along the World Showcase. Recommended.
google avatar

John L. H.

Yelp
The Germany Pavilion is one of my favorite places in all of Disney World. The first thing everyone should try when at the Germany Pavilion is the quick service restaurant. The bratwurst, beer and pretzels are among the best I have ever had anywhere. Despite my best attempts to replicate the bratwurst in my home kitchen or grill I have never come close to the perfection I had during lunch here. Besides the quick service restaurant, the table service Biergarten restaurant offers live German music at nights. There is something about eating great food and drinking great beer while listening to a polka. I can't explain why, but those things really go well together. There are also several stores selling souvenirs including one that specializes in beer steins. Before entering that store I had no idea that one could spend several hundred dollars on one beer stein. Now I know. The beer selection in the restaurants and the to-go bar is very good. There are several German beers on tap that are difficult, if not impossible to get other places. I love beer and have never even heard of some of the drafts they had. They do offer a souvenir glass for several extra dollars, but it is made of plastic and you don't get any more beer. I don't recommend it. If you're a fan of German food, culture or just a lover of beer, you need to come to The Germany Pavilion.

Yelp
By Far the Best Country expereince here @ Epicot (Japan is a Close Second though) My Best Friend and I were a little partial to this Country being both of German Origin. Walking into this land it was like a little piece of my history I finally got to explore. The culture shock was amazing. More Importantly for us adults, German Beer & Jager Shots are some of the best in the world. We drank quite a few of the Grapefruit Flavored beer. Although the overall acholol content wasn't very high it had the highest ease of going down smooth. If you have a chance to try this place out, its a MUST

Yelp
We love Epcot and we love Germany. The stores are fun to check out, the snack shops and restaurants are great. You will have a great time.

Yelp
This is probably my favorite country in the World Showcase. The architecture is so beautiful and evocative of quaint towns in Germany. The merchandise is unique and really wonderful to browse through. They have great products like authentic teddy bears from Germany, along with some very decorative and elaborate steins, and of course the cuckoo clocks of legend. Food options here are amazing, at least if you like German cuisine. The Biergarten has a wonderful buffet with delicious items for every palate. The counter service place, Sommerfest, has brats and frankfurters that are authentic and flavorful. And be sure not to pass up the Karamell-Kuche (Caramel Kitchen)! Just walking through there is an experience! So intoxicating the aroma... and the flavors... I'm drooling just thinking about it. Also, don't pass up the train display outside the shops. This is a quaint little area, with a bridge that traverses the diorama. There are always a bunch of kids and kids-at-heart stopped there taking the scene in. I rather enjoy it myself. Best pavilion in the World Showcase? Maybe. I sure think so, or could make an argument for it. Always worth stopping by for sure!

Yelp
My fave Epcot Pavilion. Love the cold German beers served in the Bier Garten. IMO the best shops in Epcot are located here.
google avatar

Nancy M.

Yelp
I love this place! My German heritage might have something to do with that. :-) Seriously though, this is a wonderful representation of Deutschland. The shops are awesome and I love talking to the people that work here and hearing of their experiences. The food is good and the souvenirs are creative. If I had any constructive feedback it would be to carry larger clothing sizes and have carry out containers for food purchased at casual food locations.

Juan M.

Yelp
Fun Pavilion with great architecture, food and souvenirs. There's also Disney Character visits so look out for them.

Yelp
While waiting for our reservation at Teppan Edo, I decided to "drink around the world." My goal for Germany was to get a beer in a boot, but unfortunately couldn't find one. Of course I was only hitting up the beer stands, not actually going into any of the restaurants, since I was only killing time. However there was plenty of boot glasses to be found in the gift shops. They're not cheap either, which explains why they're not just serving them up at the grab-and-go stands. I did grab a beer and walk around for a bit. It's definitely one of the Pavilions I'd like to explore a bit more in dept next time I'm in EPCOT.

Yelp
Had lunch with friends at Germany Pavilion in the World Showcase. It's my favorite restaurant at Epcot, followed by Japan. We were seated at a long table with a good view of the stage where they have a group playing lively German music. It's easy to be caught up in the fun and join in the foot-tapping and singing. The all-you-can-eat buffet featured assorted sausages, rotisserie chicken, salads, breads, red cabbage, saurkraut, potatoes and spatzle. The desserts included apple strudel and German-style cheesecake. I had looked forward to Saurbraten - a delicious German classic. usually served with German dumplings and sauerkraut, but was told it was only for dinner. We arrived at 3:00 pm and was told dinner began at 4:00 which is the reason I took off one star as I was so looking forward to that dish. They have shops which are fun to browse through and loved checking out the steins as I have a small collection.

Yelp
Beware purchasing a cuckoo clock here. We bought two a few months ago. We just unpacked and set up the larger one (three weights--8 day), and it has multiple problems. I'm a retired engineer and I repair clocks as a hobby. I cannot run this one until a couple of serious problems are resolved. I had to reassemble the bell inside as it had come apart during shipping. We live 1000 miles from Disney World. Now I have to figure out if I should delve into the movement or send the whole thing back for replacement. Very disappointing.

Yelp
One of our favorites! The restaurant has an amazing buffet (with a few veggie options), the shops are cute and we always find something fun to buy here. I wish they would lose the Addidas boutique part and something more traditional/classical German though like more Steins etc. But it seems to be popular. We always stop here for a Spaten Optimator and a Soft Pretzel, check out the train and the little village on the side, and this is also a good bathroom break stop. Dont forget to pick up your pickle at the ornament shop. Its a old German Tradition (my husband and is family are german) to hide the pickle and the one who finds it gets a special present. We always hide ours every year on our tree.

Yelp
Excellent! Biggest beers (in the whole park?), great food and fun show. Its a bit loud though and it's common to be seated with strangers. Ziggy zoggy ziggy zoggy oye oye oye gets yelled a lot here.

Yelp
Going with a 3 on this one but only because the cheese in the wine shop was one of the best bangs for the buck! Great cheese and presentation! And it was only 5.00! Next we moved onto the bratwurst sandwich. 10.00 for it and homemade chips. I asked for no chips but still 10.00. This seemed high but it is Disney. The roll was not fresh and the brat was very flavorless. It gets a 2 but cheese was 4-5. Skip the brat and hit the wine shop!

Yelp
If you're an adult, this is why you go to Epcot. Hit up Germany after a long day of meetings. Nothing better than grabbing a seat in the beer garden and ordering some apple schnapps, pilsners, pretzels and a brat with sauerkraut to cap off a day! I could live here!

Yelp
Also part of Epcot's World Showcase, it exemplifies the German culture. I don't believe there is a ride or attraction here but you get to try German Beer. Waaaaaay better than no stinkin attraction!

Yelp
Coming from a family that had their ancestors in Germany, when I passed by this area, I was just astounded. it looked so much like that of Germany, so quaint, so little, but so...close to what it's really like in Germany. Although I went up to the buildings and took a small look around inside a few, it's not much to worry about. Yes, there's some shopping opportunities there and even a few restaurants, but for the most part, there's no rides here. (Hint, hint Disney! Bring in some rides to further enhance the experience for those coming from Germany or to enrich the memories of American citizens attempting to head oversees to see what Germany is like for themselves.) I'd rather not be impounded for drinking their beer which is what the Biergarten here is best known for, but it's come to most people to know a little more about Germany than their wines and food tastes and the idea of a ride would better handle this experience well).

Yelp
Some authentic German selections available at the buffet; quite tasty, however, extremely overpriced. Just as you would expect all over the Kissimmee/Orlando area.
