"Live music paired with sizzling plates of sisig and decadent servings of halo-halo are what make Gerry’s Grill a staple for families of the 562. Stop by for noteworthy house specials like bangus sisig, beef kaldereta, or tinomok, taro leaves stuffed with ground meat and a variety of spices, then simmered in coconut milk. The restaurant also has a solid selection of beer, including the iconic Philippine-produced lager Red Horse." - Emily Joy Meneses, Eater Staff

This place came recommended to me from a client. I figured it's gotta be good if she recommends it. So glad I went and cannot wait to take my hubby and kids. It was delicious!

Start with wait time for no reservations and wait was for them to clean dirty tables. Sat at three tables, like one has to table shop at a restuarant? The waiter was rude and un accommodating. Never once checked how everything was, even had a busser present the check and never an opportunity to order post entre items. Steak dish way way over salted to point of not edible as served. Not the cleanest of establishments. Suggestion - train staff in customer service and if they are rude to patrons let them go.... Kitchen - cut back on salt *cut way back. This is a pass and not to be given a second chance. I was a guest had i been given a bill the tip would be 0 as this was a waisted meal experience.

With so many options for Filipino food in the Cerritos/Artesia/Norwalk area, it's tough to decide where to go. I've enjoyed the food in many establishments, and Gerry's is up there if you crave Filipino food and want a lively vibe. As a Filipino, I'm fortunate to have family members who cook well, but sometimes, relaxing at a good restaurant and enjoying yourself is needed. Our most recent visit was for lunch, celebrating a family event. Since we had a large party and no reservations, we added our group to the electronic waitlist upon arrival. Surprisingly, we only waited 15-20 minutes for our table to be ready. FOOD: The food at Gerry's is average to good. They offer many of the classic Filipino dishes and drinks. It's best to come with a group to share multiple dishes family style. A few of our recent favorites at Gerry's are the lumpia, crispy pata, beef kare-kare, sizzling pork sisig, inahaw na pusit (grilled squid), garlic rice, grilled tuna collar, and salmon sinagang. I could be nitpicky about a few dishes, but it was all satisfying. We didn't get dessert this time since everyone was stuffed from the entrées, but I recommend the Halo Halo. Next time, I won't pass it up. VIBE/SERVICE: The dining area is spacious and has plenty of tables and bar areas, but the noise level can be moderate to high. The vibe is generally chill, and live music entertainment is performed on Friday and Saturday evenings. Check their Facebook for event calendars. The website has a limited amount of information at this time. Our server and the staff were good. We received most of our orders promptly, and they were attentive throughout the meal. It's incredible how fast the staff moves around the restaurant.

Food was amazing! Everything we ordered tasted amazing, the only problem I had was the live band, which was also very good and fun just extremely loud, it was difficult to hear even someone yelling into my ear right next to me! I would avoid just comming on the days of the live band if you want to talk while eating, however besides that, if you prefer to eat while chilling with great music this place is good! Also just like eveeyone says the Halo halo is delicious (ube + coconut delicious!), BUT if you dont enjoy red bean, or artificial fruit flavour dont order this, just order the regular Ube ice cream, its fantastic!

This was my first visit. I will be returning great customer service. Great food. Great atmosphere. I had a wonderful time. You can come here for a date night, family night, or birthday party or order for takeout. It is family style and portions Great! Great! Great! Filipino food. They also have live music on weekends. Tips make sure your whole party is present or else they don't seat you.

We ordered Sinigang with salmon, grilled squid, pancit palabok, garlic butter rice, and sisig. We also ordered this grilled fish that was so good. The sisig isn't as sour as we'd like it to. Their garlic butter rice is so good you have to get it! My favorite dish of the night was the grilled fish and salmon sinigang!

Yelp
This place is my 3rd best Filipino Restaurant! Most of the time they are crowded, that is why I usually go on a weekdays. Their sisig, sinigang na salmon, kinilaw are amongst my favorite. Their ambiance is great big restaurant with a bar. Often times on a weekend I believe there is a band performing to entertain their guest. I definitely recommended this place!

Yelp
We had a relatively short wait on a Friday night which was great as it was fairly crowded. It helped that we were a party of 3 as most everyone else had a big group. The food was good--we had the Crispy Pata, the pancit bihon with crispy pork, pork sisig (hmm there seems to be a pattern here!) and garlic rice. Prices were about in line with what it costs to eat out nowadays. Service was fine. The server came along just enough, but nothing special. We were seated right next to the band so it was hard to hear. The singer was straining for high notes just a tad (not that I can sing, so kudos to him for being up there). Drummer was really good though! My biggest complaint was that the water tasted a bit funky after we got refills. Like the first glass tasted like it came out of an RO filter while the second glass tasted like dish water. Glad I got calamansi juice!

Yelp
Gerrys Grill in Artesia! One of my favorite places! Our favorites on the menu, Grilled Squid or Pusit. Pair it with rice. Have some Sisig! Served on a Sizzling plate. Say you want it with Egg! Of course, meal incomplete without a Red Horse and  a San Miguel Beer! I have never left Gerrys disappointed.  Great Service too! Shout out to Gilbert,  Steve and Angel! You should try Gerry's when in Artesia. Yelp
All time favorite Filipino merienda that never runs out of taste! Went snacking here but left feeling like we had dinner instead. Authentic Filipino classic cuisines in California. Great service and wide interior that has ample space not the cramped setting that is the usual with other Filipino restaurants.

Caroline P.

Yelp
I came to dinner with my husband coworkers for a retirement party. We ordered a bunch of different food items. I felt the wait for food was a little long for how little customers early evening. There was little check ins on water refills during meal time. All food came out around the same time. Heads off to the chef. He/she did a great job. Everything tasted very good coming from a non Filipino palate. Great meal experience. Customer service on refills could be improved. Thank you, Chef!

Yelp
While there aren't many Filipino restaurants to consider, this is a great choice. There's plenty of free parking. The staff is friendly, courteous, and helpful. And the atmosphere is very casual and comfortable. Beyond that, there's a wide selection of great dishes to choose from so everyone can enjoy. Because we wanted to take advantage of our visit, we ordered enough food for 6 people, even though it was for my wife, daughter, and I. We ended going family-style and fully enjoyed ourselves. My favorites were the garlic rice (you MUST TRY), adobo shreds, chicken inasal, and calimansi juice, even though everything was delicious. In addition to these, we also had the palabok, tortang talong, and sizzling pork sisig. All so good.

Jasmin A.

Yelp
I love coming to Gerry's! Come Saturday around noon to get seated right away. You can never go wrong with the classics: lumpia, bistek, garlic rice!

Helen C.

Yelp
Today was my 4th time at Gerry's Grill! I have always been intimidated by Filipino food because I don't know how to read the menu or even know what's good. But I recently tried it about two years ago and I've been hooked! It's soo good! I've had many dishes in the past like the beef ribs, sinigang, beef kare kare, the squid dish, and more. Everything is always so delicious Food that I've ordered today... Chicken Inasal: One of the best chicken I've had! It's not dry and very flavorful. The dipping sauce pairs well with the chicken and I love the pickled carrots! Sizzling pork sisig: Probably my second time getting this dish! It's soo good! It's hard to describe this one, but it's like a crispy meat pieces? Don't forget to add an egg to make it creamy Garlic rice: My favorite rice to order! However, I feel like the garlic rice tasted way better and smelt more appetizing last time. Today, the rice was served abit cold and I couldn't smell the garlic as much. It's okay, I still enjoyed it Service: Everyone's so nice! I appreciate how fast they tried to be even when they're busy. It gets REALLY packed sometimes Parking: Hit or miss! Big parking lot but it can get packed

Gabi Y.

Yelp
This place was suggested by my uncle who lives nearby. I have been to a few Filipino restaurants in this area, and this is one of my favorites now! Upon arrival, you check in using Yelp to be added on their waitlist, and we only waited a couple minutes. I was very surprised how packed it was on a Sunday night, which told me it must be good. I am half Filipino and am pretty picky with my Filipino food, but this was SO flavorful! We ordered Sinigang baboy, crispy pata, and halo-halo. The sinigang was super sour (just how I like it!), the crispy pata was perfectly crispy, and the halo-halo was so delicious!! The waiter was nice and very attentive. I couldn't have asked for a better place to have our last meal before we left California.

Kris A.

Yelp
Every time we visit, the food is always MASARAP! Servers are nice, friendly & helpful. Food portion is perfect to share for 2-3ppl. The restaurant is clean, always cozy. Great to enjoy good food with fellow kababayans! Came in at 6pm early dinner & no wait for seating. Can't wait for our next visit!

Thuy N.

Yelp
I tried Filipino food for the first time here, so I didn't know what to expect, but the pork sisig was delicious and I would recommend it. The adobo rice was decent, but it could use some more flavor. Same goes for the chicken skewers. It was busy and a bit loud during lunch time on Saturday. The food took a while to come out, but service was decent overall. Overall ratings Food 3.5/5 Ambience 3/5 Service 4/5

Kristoff W.

Yelp
I went last night for dinner with my friend. She is always raving about this place for the live music on the weekend. Pol was our server and took wonderful care of us. I had the LUMPIANG SHANGHAI. It was so crispy and packed full of flavor!!!!!! I'm definitely coming back to see the live music and try some more Philippine food!!!!! So yummy!!!!

Jessica S.

Yelp
Great spot to get my Filipino food fix. It's also a place to take those who haven't tried Filipino food before. So, what if they are understaffed and service is slow? That's what you get for getting good home-cooked, traditional Filipino food....! It takes time to cook, so expect to wait a bit (obvs it won't taste like how your lola makes it in Manila, but it'll have to do until you go back home). I always have to order my fav street food: chicharron bulaklak (pork ruffle fat). They make it perfectly crunchy here. Also can't go wrong with the sisig and kare kare. At night it gets lively when they have live music. Reminds me of those late humid nights in the Philippines-- of course, with great company eating good food. Recommend ordering beer towers while eating some pulutan (drinking foods)! (edit: honestly sad to see Filipinos bashing Filipino restaurants... open one then if you think you can do better? Otherwise leave your fellow kababayans alone)

Katrina V.

Yelp
Gerry's Grill definitely has a reputation for being a place where you can enjoy a beer while cheering on a UFC match. But, the food here is also the star. I would recommend the two house specials. One is crispy pata, deep fried pork hock. The other is sizzling pork sisig, which is chopped pork ears and pork jowls and pork belly deep fried mixed with onions and peppers and lemon, often topped with an egg over easy. It's not the most popular dish, but I recommend fresh fish stewed wrapped in leaves braised in coconut milk. Gerry's has locations all over the world. They are also like a bar that is a family restaurant!

Abbie H.

Yelp
Food is AMAZING! Talk about burst of authentic Filipino delicacy flavors...Gerry's grill will not disappoint!!!!! My fave go to restaurant when I have the craving---the hour drive is sooooo worth it! When you're there ask for Pol---his recommendations are the best!Aside from the one mentioned, also try Inihaw na Pusit and grilled eggplant salads. Thanks Pol!!!! You are as always, the best!!!!!

Mira P.

Yelp
Gerry's grill is a classic hangout spot in the Philippines and we need more locations out here for sure. Saturday evenings they have a live band and it was actually a lot of fun! Food is always a 10/10 iykyk. Service is amazing especially when you get well acquainted with the servers!

Lee L.

Yelp
When in Artesia we do lunch here. We just had 40 of us reserved for My Grandma Alice Memorial service reception. Great Masarap foodies. Also want to thank for their service. Steve our host was so helpful and took care of us in any thing we need. Even photo ops. They welcomed us ty so much Steve for your help

Brian B.

Yelp
Probably the best Filipino food you can find on this side of the earth, seriously. Gerry's grill is served family style and you can find all the common dishes from the Philippines such as lechon kawali, pancit canton, lumpia, pork sisig and plenty more! They also have less commonly known foods on their menu such as Bicol Express, Kare kare, bangs just to name a few. I've tried all of these mentioned above and it's all amazing! It's like stepping through a portal into the Philippines. Excellent and attentive service with an awesome atmosphere. They also have a bar and live music playing the popular Filipino hits! (check their schedule for live music).

Cheryl A.

Yelp
I have never been in Gerry's Grill for quite a while, but every time we come back here to eat, it never fails! The food, service and affordable prices are all worth the wait!

Lauren V.

Yelp
Got introduced to this Filipino joint by my mom. Happy to report the dishes are legit and hit the spot. The halo-halo is hands down best I've ever had! Even my husband, who's got a gluten allergy (celiac) went for the beef bulalo with no issues and loved every bite. The place is always super busy, which is indicative of the food quality. Only issue was the service, had to take matters into our own hands after two tries to get a box. Despite that, the food came out quick and hot, and the authentic flavors totally made up for it. Cant wait to come back, hopefully with a few more relatives in tow.

Foreveryoung M.

Yelp
Service is sucks . They can't handle busy days. When we order the water and rice. It didn't arrive after 30 mins and you are done eating .

Rofelina M.

Yelp
Craving for Filipino food and Gerry's grill has authentic Filipino food in socal. Ordered grilled squid, kare-kare and sisig na bangus, rice adobo and palabok. Love the sizzling squid and kare kare. The palabok and vagus sisig is so so. It was a busy Friday night and had to flag a waiter to order more food. Ambiance is good for a Friday night out because they have live band.

Erika J.

Yelp
All the entrees here are family style-- we ordered the garlic fried rice, bangus sisig, crispy pata, sinigang baboy, and bistek. The bangus sisig was pretty good, though not as good (or crispy) as I have had at other places like Max's. Crispy pata and the sinigang were hits, as expected, but I wish the sinigang had more meat + soup instead of being full of vegetables. Bistek was great, albeit a little too salty for my taste, but yummy nonetheless and I would still get it every time. I also ordered a black gulaman (no sago), which was too syrupy but better when I diluted with some more water. We arrived at 7pm on a Friday night and just had to wait for around ~20 mins for a table to open up. Servers were friendly, but because it was so busy, we had to flag them down a few times to get our waters refilled. I came here with some people that have never had Filipino food, and have never been to a Gerry's Grill, so we had to disclose that it gets a little *loud* with they have the bands playing at night, lol. We sat near the band, and as we were finishing up, they started playing. The music is super loud, and once they start singing, it's really hard to talk and hear what everyone else at the table is saying (but all the aunties and uncles around us continued talking as normal lol). All in all, Gerry's Grill is a nice place to go when you're craving some Filipino food. I would rather get takeout from here than Grill City. Be prepared for some loud music playing at the end of the week, I would probably avoid on these days if you are too tired or don't want to be overstimulated lol.

Joy C.

Yelp
Still the BEST and consistent Filipino restaurant in the area. I suggest adding yourself on the Yelp waitlist right away to minimize the wait time. It's pretty accurate. Going to early dinner is better because they usually have large groups during peak times. The servers have good customer service, orders come out promptly. I noticed that they now add gratuity to the bill, which is good. It's our go-to for pork sisig, pinakbet and crispy pata.

Jillian L.

Yelp
Gerry's Grill is located in Artesia. It is a nice place to go for quality Filipino food. The servers and staff are really friendly, this location only has an indoor seating. This restaurant is located in a plaza with different restaurants and though it has a parking lot, parking can be difficult sometimes. We got the grilled liempo and it was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The sizzling sisig with the egg is an absolute must try. The crispy pata was also cooked very well. The skin was very crunchy while the meat was very tender and juicy. If you're in the area and craving for Filipino food this restaurant is worth the visit!

Alex A.

Yelp
Cerritos has quite a few Filipino restaurants but this is still by far my favorite one. They still have live band every Fridays and Saturdays but the finish a little early, I would say around 11pm. Place is clean and remodeled some areas. Some staff are friendly, some are just fine. Will always go back!

Jaden V.

Yelp
Well, I am not sure where to start. First of all, my best friend I call him Mr. R is a "Chief Steward" on the Navy and Commercial vessels after graduating from the most prestigious cooking school in Paris, France. He definitely knows his Native food from the Philippines. However, the food we eat was mostly American food. We have ordered, crab fried rice, very, very salty. For appetizers, we ordered fried calamari, and totally no taste! Blah, no seasoning what'soever. The only eatable were Chop Suey. Vegetables, The last thing we order Bb'Q chicken, I can't comprehend how can you burn chicken? It was like the chicken came from a coal mine. I guess you really can't screwed up Vegies. We did not touch the water. You know why. The tea was smelling like chlorine! Can't they use filtered water? Or if they do, change the filters more often? We took most of the food home and made a nice soup. The price for the food we received was about 35% over prized. The inside is nice. We would expect the food to be more tasty. Plus, there are no name tags on employees. What are they afraid of? Is it nice to be called by name? No? So this will conclude our review. We apologize for such a negative review, but maybe it's time to have Filipino Cook or change the current. Does not gonna bring you 5 stars.

Marianne S.

Yelp
The food was all delicious compared to other filipino restaurants. The ambience was nice they accommodated our party of 25 and it was not crowded on a Sunday afternoon so there was not too many people. Which brings me to the reason why I didn't give 5 stars, we walked in with no other people in front of us there was an iPad to sign in, BUT no employee acknowledged us for 10 mins even though they saw us, NOBODY greeted or said "hi we will be right with you" I understand they're busy serving but if they're right infront of you, talking to each other and passing by at least be kind and a acknowledge the customers. It's too bad that this is one of the biggest things we can remember. Our server was very helpful and was quick to take orders. But I wish they were better at welcoming the customers.

Donna B.

Yelp
Gery's is a pretty classic Filipino restaurant, which we go to whenever we crave for "authentic", no-frills Filipino food. Parking can be a bit of a challenge, especially during peak hours. Lots of Filipino families and groups. They have a Yelp waitlist on a tablet in front, just a little odd that you can't join that using the Yelp app. We usually order pork sisig and grilled liempo. Last time we visited we saw they tweaked their bicol express, it now comes with a few pieces of lechon kawali on top. They also improved on their halo-halo, which we really liked! Their ice is now very smoothly shaved milk (almost like a thick smoothie texture), hope they don't change it back. Just a little heavy on the beans and not much of the other mix-ins you'd expect from the usual halo-halo. FYI expect that your clothes will smell like food after (because of all the dishes like sisig which is served on a sizzling plate, and the ventilation). Food has been consistent throughout the years, the primary reason why we don't go here often is the slow service, which can be excruciatingly slow.

Athens D.

Yelp
This is my go to Filipino restaurant. There are other establishments in the area but I go here because they have the best food. Good quality. Great service. I recommend their crispy pata and kare kare. Halo halo is also very good!

Tara C.

Yelp
It's been awhile since I've been back so to see renovations of the bar gone, more seating and just over all updated everything looked great. When we pulled up around 830pm the line was out the door of course and the wait was said to be 1.5-2 hrs long. I went straight up to the front and they had a Yelp check in. I signed in and after 30mins we were up (party of 2. Everyone else was 4+). Service seemed well organized. Servers checked up on us and filled waters. The band was setting up and we were able to catch the first 30 mins. It was lively and fun! The food was delicious of course (pls see pics)! We have a Gerry's grill in San Diego but I have yet to visit that location.

Pat C.

Yelp
Family style, Filipino banquet joint popular with locals. Don't understand how this place got a low rating... we had sisig, grilled goodies, lumpia, garlic rice - all were excellent. Also, renowned for its dessert menu. The service was swift, friendly. Parking can be crowded, as can be the crowd overall, avoid peak hours 6-8pm, packed for weekend dinner service. 5 solid stars.

Judy D.

Yelp
Yes, this place is overrated and overpriced but one of the best Filipino restaurants in the area lol. I love their bbq taste, the garlic fried rice, adobo fried rice, pinakbet, sisig, and crispy pata. I mean I hate waiting for like an hour to get a table but if you're in a big group and ordering a lot it's worth the wait lol. It's loud since they have live band performing on some nights so don't expect an intimate atmosphere but good foods.

Denise L.

Yelp
Everything is good except for the sisig. THAT IS NOT SISIG!!! That is pulled pork. Why do you shred the pork? it doesn't even taste like sisig. the pork was fried not grilled. hella greasy. no. just... no.

Angelica S.

Yelp
Flew from Chicago all excited for this place. Time was limited for us but still made time for this place. Ambience was great, nice live band. Food was so-so. Not what I expected... especially their sisig. Serving was big though. SERVICE? oh my.... I'm a foodie and always have patience to wait, but man, just checking out after a long flight and day took forever, that I had to BEG another server to just check me out.

Amy K.

Yelp
Have been coming here for years and the food all in all has always been pretty good. However, avoid coming here on Saturday nights because the band is so excruciatingly loud that you will want to leave asap. No food is ever worth losing hearing for.

Steve W.

Yelp
Oh man what is there to say about this place. You know you're at a legit restaurant when the tables have 10, 15, 20+ people ranging from little babies to elderly people. The one thing that tasted kinda funky was the Palabok, had a really weird taste. The service was surprisingly very good here! Cant go wrong with their food, its very good and authentic.

Marvin M.

Yelp
Gerry's is one of those places when you have family/guest visiting and you wanna show off the Filipino food available to you and act like a high roller. Sure the place is decent plus occasionally free entertainment while you dine. The food is good BUT this is where it gets out of hand. The prices are ridiculously expensive! Cmon it's Filipino food and not that expensive to make! Most Filipino places are reasonably priced within this area. It's Rice and Meat basically. Gerry must be the type of person that enjoys raking filipinos over the coals, raping their pockets, while the clients are broke and Gerry is in delight with full pockets. At least change the name to Greddy Gerry's Grill or 3G for short.

Venus B.

Yelp
The food was good but the place was too crowded, the band was loud, not recommended for family with small kids.

Sung W.

Yelp
This is an updated review. We came here with a reservation made a week prior for 13 @ 5 pm on a Wednesday. When we arrived they had about 2 small tables occupied and didn't seem busy yet. We had to wait about 5-10 minutes for them to get our table ready. After we sat we had to wait for them to take our drink orders. The service was a little slow, in the beginning, to have someone get our drinks and food orders. After we were able to order our food the service became a little better afterward. Our food took about 15-20 minutes to start arriving dish after dish. They do charge a 22% Tip for groups of 5 and above but I expected a little better service for an extra charge which I am more than glad to pay. It was hard to flag them down to get additional plates and/or utensils etc. I do hope they improve this in the future. The food was freshly cooked and yummy. The Crispy Pata was crunchy hot and tender/juicy on the inside. Everything we ordered was delicious as well. Reminder you'll need to order rice separately at $2.20/scoop. When it came to ordering dessert we ordered Banana Lumpia, Halo-Halo, and Buko pandan. I will skip the Halo-Halo or Buko Pandan and just order Banana Lumpia next time. The restaurant was overall clean and the ambiance was good. Keep this up!! Parking can be tight depending on the time and day for it's located in a strip mall shared by many other businesses and restaurants. Yelp
We waited at least 40 minutes to get seated but the waiting was well worth it! Food and serving portions were excellent, service was quick but they did not have enough staff on a busy weekend, and the ambience was great too for a small or big group. There was a live band on weekends so it was a nice added features of this restaurant. I will definitely come back here!

Yelp
we came in 7:30pm listed our name on the waitlist for dinner party of 12 but got seated around 9:15pm. It was terrible long hours of waiting. Food was okay and price is reasonable. Food came in 15 minutes after we order which was great. Service was okay. Bathrooms are tight space but clean. Songs of the band are more on the oldies side though.

Yelp
Watch your food before start eating. I found hair several times at Artesia location not coming back to this place.

Yelp
A Filipino restaurant better than most. Lechon had two decent sized portions precut into smaller pieces. 3 sticks of pork bbq. Beefsteak Tagalog was a small serving, but it tasted good. Hints of lemon marinade. Not overly sour, but just right. Sears not the best and not too comfortable. Large dining area but we were seated in an area already crowded and noisy. Waiters were mostly kids who still need to learn to check up on you to provide adequate service. Service was below par. It felt ridiculous to order rice as scoops. Why not just have a big portion at the beginning. This seems to me like nickel and diming the customer. That's not a trait that would be easily overcome by hospitable, but overthrifty Filipinos. Needs improvement, but worth coming back to. Overall, pricey place, I do think it's overpriced but at least the food tasted good.

Yelp
Although the pricing at this restaurant leans towards the higher side, it is important to note that the quality of the food remains consistently good. In terms of service, they have generally provided excellent service on most occasions. However, during busy times, there have been instances where their attentiveness may have been lacking. The portions served are generous, ensuring a satisfying dining experience, and the flavors of their dishes are generally exceptional. If you're looking for a delectable hot dish, I highly recommend trying their garlic rice, as the garlic flavor shines through and enhances the overall taste. Additionally, their grilled squid and grilled tuna are simply outstanding, especially when paired with the remarkable sauces they are served with. When it comes to desserts, I highly recommend indulging in the halo-halo and mais con yelo. Both of these sweet treats are absolutely divine and are sure to satisfy your cravings. Please be aware that parking can be quite challenging, particularly on weekends, as space is limited and the spots are tight. It's worth mentioning that they occasionally feature live bands, which adds a lively and vibrant atmosphere to the dining experience.

Yelp
This is my favorite place for Filipino food in California. I always go here for birthdays and anniversaries. The ambiance is wonderful, from the live band to the dark wood paneling and exposed pipes. The place is always packed too, so you never feel too shy or awkward to make conversation. The staff's great too! Every time I go I am assured my waiter knows both English and Tagalog. They are courteous, efficient, and considerate. Now onto the food (the best part!), I always get the crab fried rice and sizzling pork sisig with egg. Absolutely phenomenal, it would be my last meal if I had to choose one. The adobo pork shreds and sugbakinilaw are tasty too, and you have to get their iced tea, it's a staple. The perfect accompaniment for an indulgent meal.

Yelp
Great hangout place for drinks and grub. They usually have a live band on fridays and Sundays . Food is always good. Classic Filipino food and grilled items. We always get the Sugba Kilaw, Sisig (pork or bangus). There are times I feel it's a bit salty. But that's how Filipinos love their food... savory and salty. Service - friendly and fast Parking - located in a strip mall of restaurants. Parking can be packed on peak times but it's a big parking lot so just be patient Access - ground floor and easy to get in to

Yelp
Food was tasty. Typical Filipino food. Service was ok. Food took a little long to come out of the kitchen, it was Sunday dinner time. The tables are pretty close to each other, but we didn't mind it. It gets pretty loud with the conversations and music playing.

Yelp
If you're looking for tasty Filipino food this place is a solid choice! Tried the grill squid, lumpia, pancit canton, garlic rice, tortang eggplant, fried fish, and some of their bbq meat. Everything was 10/10 and if I didn't have any self control I would have cleared all the plates haha. They also serve the absolute best halo halo I've ever had. It can be a bit pricy but I think it's worth the cost for the food. This place has live music so if you're looking for a more intimate dinner you can come earlier during the day when the band is not playing. Honestly would really recommend this for a big group so you can get and try lots of dishes. Can't wait to come back and try more.

Yelp
Gerry's is my favorite Filipino sit-down restaurant in the Artesia area, so we took an out-of-town guest here to acquaint them with Filipino cuisine. Previously, I had ordered the grilled tuna collar (which I've only found here and I simply adore), but this time, kept it simpler. You park in the mall parking lot, and you put your name and phone number down yourself on a tablet outside. They will then text you when your table is ready. We came before 5 and was able to be seated after 5 minutes. We had just come from seeing 'Lumpia with a vengeance' at the nearby Regal Edwards, so definitely wanted to try the deep-fried lumpia. All Gerry's offered was the smaller 'Shanghai' style, so we ordered that and it was good (plenty of pork filling and hot and crispy). We ordered Pancit with both canton and sotanghon noodles. and it came with small pieces of chicken. We also ordered adobo....I like the way Gerry does it here, putting both pork and chicken pieces in the same dish. In my opinion, it also clearly shows which meat is tastier for adobo, when you taste them together. It is good value at Gerry's, and we even had leftovers. Most of the Filipino restaurants have settled on using the point-point model (food is pre-prepared and sitting on a buffet table, ready to be served when you create a mixed plate by pointing at each one). I've found that it is a lot tastier when ordered from a sit-down restaurant, and Gerry's is the best one of those in the Long Beach area.
