"When Ggiata opened in East Hollywood, it wasn’t long before we named it one of our favorite places in the city to grab a sandwich. Now the East Coast-inspired sandwich shop has moved west, opening another location in the heart of West Hollywood. The layout’s pretty similar to the original—a small, order-at-the-counter space suitable for a quick lunch—but the menu here is a little larger. You’ll find classics like the prosciutto-stuffed Masterpiece and the Spicy P alongside additions like the Rocky, a fancy chopped cheese with pepperoncini, or The Burr, which is essentially their take on tuna salad. Raid their dessert case, too. The limoncello olive cake and rainbow cookies are the best you’ll find in town." - brant cox
"Gluten-avoiding folks should rejoice: gluten-free bread is now available at all Ggiata locations in Hollywood, West Hollywood, and Venice, and Ggiata is also hosting a block party with South L.A.’s Bricks & Wood in Hollywood on Saturday, September 30 to benefit No Us Without You LA." - Mona Holmes
"Ggiata has launched a weekend-only breakfast menu at both locations on Melrose and in West Hollywood, starting at 9 a.m." - Farley Elliott

"What travels better than sandwiches, especially the long submarine-style at Italian delis? Ggiata has understood this since its inception, first with a takeout restaurant on Melrose that opened during the pandemic and now with an expanded location in West Hollywood to boot. The classic Italian has all the trademark thinly-sliced meats of the genre, though the chicken parm sub might be even better. —Matthew Kang" - Eater Staff
