News on the Coronavirus COVID-19 Impact on Atlanta Restaurants and Bars | Eater Atlanta

"Chef Nick Leahy launched a delivery-only ghost kitchen called Chicken Out, run from the kitchen at Nick’s Westside on Brady Avenue; the concept serves only chicken with a menu that includes four- and eight-piece fried chicken meals, half or whole roasted chickens, roasted chicken shawarma, smoked wings with a choice of sauces, a crispy chicken sandwich, sides such as fat fries, mac and cheese mixed with ham and caramelized onions and braised greens, and fried cinnamon doughnut holes for dessert." - Eater Staff

DO NOT GET CHICKEN. They forgot our fries and coleslaw. And it's Venmo / cash only, kinda suspect. 1 star their Cajun combo was very good. 5 star. Will leave three star instead of one because it seems like a new business, but please do better

Google
I tried the hot Korean style double fried and they were amazing! Definitely some of the best wings I've had. My only criticism is the amount of meat on them was less than many other places I've tried. There was more skin/dough as well but I think that's because of the double fry and it is delicious. Also they are located within the Cap't Loui restaurant if you have trouble finding it.

Google
Shared space with seafood boil spot in Auburn Mall food court. Good deal on some legit wings. They were made to order, so took a little while. Worth the wait. Korean double fried, hot wings.

This is some good chicken. I got 1lbs of the Korean Popcorn Chicken and Cajun Fries. The seasoning and batter on both were great!

Although this place is supposed to be open at 12pm on Sunday, the staff at this place did not pick up the phone until I showed up physically after 12:15pm. I called three times to make a pick up order at 12:05 (first attempt) 12:10 (second) and 12:15pm (third and final, still nobody answered). When I brought this up, the staff didn't seem to care much. Since I had already arrived, I made an order and waited to get fried chicken. I did not know this was actually a sign of "today is not a good day" to order food from this place. My house is only 10 mins away from the mall, so the food was warm enough. My gosh, double fried boneless Korean chicken was so dry! I got them to share with my family members and ughh.. I couldn't chew because of the rubbery texture. The sauce was okay but man, this was super disappointing since no one in my family liked this dish. I used to like this place before. What happened?? Is this place under new management now? The quality of their food went down a lot. Picked radish pieces became so tiny since I visited this place last time. They are too tiny compared to other Korean chicken places.. forget about using a fork to get radish pieces. Just use a spoon.. I don't know if I want to visit this place anytime soon. I used to get fried chicken and seafood from this place multiple times before. They need to work on consistency of the food they serve or they may lose regulars. One extra star is from the flavor only. The texture of the fried chicken was really bad because it was really overcooked. We ended up throwing away some because we couldn't finish. The picked radish tasted alright but the size of radish pieces was too small.

Google
Food is absolutely amazing! After reading reviews I went with curiosity and hopeful expectations. And wow! The food and flavor is wonderful. Korean Double fried is a must have. If you don’t like spicy the soy sauce is delicious as well. Atmosphere score is low but that isn’t the restaurant’s fault; it’s a mall food court so nothing spectacular or immersive. I work nearby and it’s a lovely treat whenever I can grab Ghost Chicken for lunch.

Google
Korean style double fried chicken is a must!!! Delicious! Best chicken in Auburn hands down!

Google
Many other reviews mention the Korean double fried wings were the best they have ever had. I was a bit skeptical.. I had to try them for myself. And WOW holy F!.. hands down.. BEST wings I’ve ever had. If you’re at the mall and in the mood for some wings… give these a try! Super crispy Juicy, and sweet not to spicy. (Hot flavored) you WILL NOT be disappointed!

Yelp
Yep. I have to update my review. Not sure if they got a different wing company that they are ordering from and/or are working with a different recipe on TOP OF EVERYTHING but I will say that their new recipe is dangerously good and the wings are bigger than they were. They do use packages of Kens so we f you prefer homemade...this Isn't the place yet. We will continue to order from here as the wings are fantastic again!

Yelp
The food was good but the portions were tiny and I was treating several members of the rowing team to dinner. We went for more food after we left because the boys were still hungry! We also waited over 45 minutes for our food.

Yelp
The food here at this location is absolutely amazing. Very fast service (mid-afternoon on a week day) but it's in a mall so the ambiance isn't much for a food court. The double baked Korean bbq boneless wings is what I got and will be getting again the next time I go back.

Yelp
Went on a midday Friday, mall was pretty dead. Ordered 8 piece Korean Double Fried Spicy wings. They were crispy and well spiced on the outside, and hot and juicy inside. Made to order, so took a little while, but I wasn't in a rush. Worth the wait. I did in fact lick my fingers after, thank goodness the mall bathroom was nearby, and very clean I might add. Came with a little side of pickled daikon radish.

Yelp
So it's a bit weird but Ghost chicken is sold where Captain Loui is in the Auburn mall food court. If you're diggin Korean double fried chicken then this is the place to go around the area. The chicken is on point. Great spicy kick if that's what you like. The wings are great here. They take long to cook but it's worth the wait. And I highly recommend you eating it on the spot. So it won't be a soggy mess. Wish they had pickled radish as an option as well. They only have cole slaw with the wings. Give this place a try. Cheers

Yelp
I loved the double fried Korean style chicken wings , they was pretty good , I ordered it at least 6-7 times but last 3 order they screwed me big time . I've been order large 16 pieces of spicy chicken wings Korean style but I received soy sauce chicken wings (not spicy) - twice 2 days ago I ordered again large spicy chicken wings with 2 radishes side and I received "large fries with chicken burger and 4 piece of chicken tender" I called Grubhub - they resolve that problem right away and I also got my refund from Grubhub Don't know what happened and very disappointed at Ghost chicken

Yelp
Good Korean fried chicken. I love their garlic soy and spicy flavored. Chicken is double fried. Not as good as the Korean fried chicken from crave or bonchon but close enough!

Yelp
The chicken is super crispy at its first bite - the meat is juicy and is cooked just right. It's so crispy to the point I thought I was an ASMR youtuber. This'll sound good in a mukbang for sure the spicy wings are actually pretty spicy, but for those who can take spice, it's the yummy type of spice. The owner is korean and the raddish (not in the menu yet) was very authentic as well. The owner was super nice, and the food was even better! 10/10 recommend

Yelp
I am a fried chicken fanatic. The first time I heard there was a Korean fried chicken place in Auburn,MA (5 min from my house) I was ecstatic. However after returning here after a few months the chicken has turned subpar. Having a pre-frozen flavor and less meat, the chicken became very average like where I would get at the freezer aisle at the grocery store. The spicy sauce still tastes on point, but what's a good sauce without a good protein? Overall, my experience trying out Ghost Chicken would a rating of 3/5 for lack of quality chicken, and a somewhat good sauce. I would drive 45 minutes to get a Bon Chon fried chicken

Richard S.

Yelp
Soy chicken was choice. Food came out for delivery fast. The Korean-style tasted right, but no yangnyeom flavor?

Yelp
I had the Garlic Parm wings, which were good, but their double fried Soy wings! Maaaan o man.. amazing. They had curb side pick up due to the Rona but the food was nice at hot. Only issue was we asked for blue cheese and received 1 little envelope for 24 wings. So if you do try it, ask for extra blue cheese if it's your thing. Enjoy!

Yelp
the food was delicious we ordered kfc boneless, sweet & spicy chicken bento and Honey Butter wings. Fried rice balls was good! Our fave food is KFC boneless, tangy and sweet.

Yelp
I was looking for korean fried chicken and I finally found my spot! Local & good! I got garlic wings -- so bomb! Highly recommend

Yelp
They screwed up my order all three times I've ordered from them, and they're real jerks about it.
