22 Metro Phoenix Restaurants Still Doing Takeout Right Now | Eater Phoenix

"The kitchen of this wide-ranging Southwestern restaurant in South Tempe has stayed open with a truncated menu. Chef Rene Andrade and his team are serving multi-person meals (like enchilada and whole chicken combos). They’re also bagging one-person options like a green chile burger and torta ahogada (sauce-drowned sandwiches). Margaritas are available, too." - Chris Malloy

Sampler platter, chips, salsa & guacamole and the cornbread. All delicious! There was a large group also there so our food took a little too long but our server gave us the chips appetizer on the house to make up for it. I've been before and the food IS really good, as are the drinks. Recommend.

Google
We ordered way too much but it was well worth it. Very flavorful and a great spin on traditional dishes. Highly recommend and honestly great value for the portions. Great service and can't say enough about the quality of each dish.

Google
Went in for happy hour and Cat took great care of us! The cocktails were perfect and our cheese crisp was just what we imagined. Great food and great drinks. Cat is a master of her craft. She offered to create and alter any drink on the menu. We will be back!

After two visits, I can confidently say Ghost Ranch has left a lasting impression. There’s so much to love—where to begin? **Service:** We were fortunate to have Noah as our server on both occasions. He was outstanding—knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely personable, which made both dinners even more enjoyable. **Atmosphere:** The decor and ambiance are beautifully done, creating a warm and inviting space. If I had one suggestion for improvement, it would be to slightly lower the volume of the music, which at times felt a bit overpowering. **Food & Drink:** This is where Ghost Ranch truly shines. The menu offers a brilliant fusion of modern cuisine with traditional Mexican and New Mexican flavors. The *Tomahawk Pork Chop* was a standout—perfectly cooked, rich, and deeply savory. We also tried *The Sampler*, which was a fantastic way to explore a variety of flavors and textures, each one thoughtfully prepared. The drink selection complemented the food beautifully, rounding out an exceptional dining experience, but the old fashion called to me and did not disappoint.

My hubby and I came here for the first time for an appetizer and a couple of margaritas. We sat at the bar and Beto was fantastic! Margaritas were made just right and when our appetizer was taking longer than expected he offered us chips and salsa. The manager came over a few minutes later (didn’t catch her name) and let us know there was an issue in the kitchen but that she’d be comping our original appetizer for the wait. GREAT customer service, delicious cheese crisp, and amazing salsa & guacamole 🤌🏽 We will be back!

Google
Absolutely amazing. Best Mexican restaurant I have had in the valley by far. My wife and I came on Saturday when they served brunch and both got the mesquite grilled skirt steak. It is UNBELIEVABLE. Everything is so fresh and the tortillas are hand made. 11/10 and I highly suggest you at least try it once. Guaranteed you will come back again.

Google
Went there (party of two) last night for a meal of appetizers and drinks. We ordered the shrimp cocktail hoping for a chunky ceviche-type experience. The flavors were good and just the perfect kick. Our preference is a little less tomato juice and a little more of the chunky ingredients (reason for 4 on food). We also ordered the Queso Fundido. Very good flavors. Love the chorizo and the homemade corn tortillas. Cadillac marg in a small glass...$19 (yikes!). Good but maybe not worth that price. Service was excellent. Downsides on this restaurant in general is how loud it is inside (reason for 3 of atmosphere) and how challenging to park(nothing they can do about parking). Whoever owns this corner has put wayyyy too many busy restaurants in place for the amount of parking. So, if you want to come here arrive early as the restaurant is popular and they do not take reservations. I definitely think overall the food is worth it and we will come back.

Google
I got the vegan plato vegano and my husband got the vegetable enchiladas. (Note the enchiladas come with a side of beans and rice. The beans have chorizo. You can sub the beans for veggies). We also got the chips and salsa as an appetizer. Everything was very good, but what stood out to me was the enchiladas. The corn tortillas tasted so fresh and delicious. If they aren't made in house, then they must come from somewhere nearby. I've never had enchiladas so good.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem. My wife and I were going to go somewhere else, but it looked really busy. So we decided to go to the Ghost Ranch. The service was good. The place is clean and we enjoyed the ambiance. But then the food came... And I was stoked. So good. Finally. There's a lot of places to eat in the valley, possibly thousands, but the food impressed. Great flavors and I felt really good about the value for what we got. Yum.

Yelp
Met friends here for dinner. They don't take reservations which makes for a long wait. Why no reservations??? Anyway, went to nearby Postinos to grab a glass a wine. Once we were alerted to our table being ready, we were promptly sat at a table way too big for 4 people. Anyway it worked. For food we tried some different items. My husband and I shared the platter with a side of beans/rice. We also ordered a side of the homemade tortillas. Food was good but not great. Tortillas were thick. Good drink selection. I got the spicy pineapple margaritas. It was good. The first one the waitress spilled on the table but she cleaned it up. The second one was very good. No complaints on the margaritas. Overall it was a nice dinner but not sure I would return for that wait.

Yelp
The outward appearance was very nice. Rustic, located in a really nice area, I walked in.They need a door hop.Because the glass door is super heavy. I was greeted immediately, my server was very polite. I could not decide if I wanted salmon or if I wanted a steak. However, I had set out today to have a steak. After my waitress returned, I asked, what did she suggest? And she suggested the steak. When the plate came, I was pretty amazed at how much food was on the plate. The steak set atop a bed of very nicely, seasoned potatoes and Nopales. It wasn't what I expected for vegetables, but okay. Secondly, I was taken back by the amount of grease that was served on the plate. I brought up the concern to my waitress, and she asked. Oh you don't like the demi glace? I replied is that what that is? She answered yes. She also offered to do something different, but at that point I did not want to send my food back to the kitchen. They had a happy hour and families were coming in on a regular bassist while I sat. I assume it's a pretty popular place, and maybe my plate selection wasn't the best. For $44, it was just far from what I expected. I will post the pictures and you be the judge for yourself. Gordon ramsey would have a fit.

Yelp
Went here for dinner recently. Sat at the bar. Friendly staff, attentive even though it was a busy night. I order the street style esquites and the braised pork enchiladas. The esquites is corn off the cob with Oaxaca cheese. This was ok, too much cheese and not enough corn. The braised pork enchiladas comes in a red sauce. This was very good. Comes with a very small bowl of rice and beans which could be a little more. Overall a good experience. I wouldn't order the esquites again but definitely the braised pork enchiladas.

Yelp
Food was amazing with very nicely sized portions. Great service with great advice on ordering and the ambience was very clean and friendly!

Yelp
Service good. Loud with little sound absorption. Great decor Ordered the chicken pasta. Really good and more heat in the sauce than anticipated. The chicken was amazing I had the chicken enchiladas with green sauce. The rice and beans that were the sides were particularly good. Aztec Cake could be described as a south western pot pie The layers gave the dish great depth The corn bread was not as good as the other dishes More cake like, pretty dry and the jelly on top would had been better served on the side

Yelp
We decided to come for happy hour.i love the southwestern vibe of the place. You can see your food getting made, open kitchen concept. All the plus signs are the appetizers that are apart of happy hour and all drinks are $3 off. The cornbread was really flavorful and we loved the cheese. The restaurant got busy around 6:30 on Tuesday but they location is perfectly hidden in south Tempe next to postinos. Kate was our server and checked on her frequently. I will definitely be back for entrees.

Yelp
Sucks you can't make reservations but honestly it was sooo worth the wait! And you can drink at the bar while you wait. The decor and atmosphere are so fun!!! The portions were huge and the food was to die for!! Doesn't taste like "real" Mexican but it doesnt taste like cheap Mexican! It's got its own feel, but it was delicious!!! Not a single complaint in our group! And our waitress, Bailey, was super attentive and so sweet!
google avatar

Kat V.

Yelp
The deco is beautiful. The restroom is nice. The parking can be a bit hard to find on the weekends. There are many available tables for dinner. I got Aztec cake and love the smoky and creamy chicken. I wish I have room for the dessert.

Yelp
It's cool when you can get together with old and new friends who share a common interest... HAPPY HOUR & FOOD!!! Happy Hour is 3 - 6pm with: $7 Select Wines & Cocktails (Margarita time) $1 off Beer & $3 off on select appetizers (Pozole) First on deck for me, the Ghost Ranch Margarita... classic and good! I then went with the Fuego Margarita as it added some heat to the classic with infused chile de arbol... and to close out I had the prickly Pear Margarita (froze) which provided me with the sweetness I craved to finish off. In addition to the cocktails, I also had the Pozole. Thank you for the recommendation Kim as it was good... a tad bit too much homney but really had a great flavor profile that I enjoyed. Nothing 'unofficial' when we get together... good times!

Yelp
We came here for the first time to try the tacos and burger in particular. It was busy when we came here but we waited patiently for a table. The inside of the restaurant looks nice and rustic with modern touches. The burger was good and cooked well; juicy. The potatoes were a unique side dish and weren't typical potatoes. Check the photos to see what I mean. We did ask for the aioli for our burger to be on the side but the chefs also didn't put any on the potatoes. However, they made a fresh batch since we didn't expect the potatoes to come without the sauce and chives. Getting to try them both ways was great, though unexpected. We also got a taco plate and it was delicious as well. From the beans to the guacamole, to the beans, it was yummy. I would say they should include a bit more meat for the 4 tortillas. I also recommend eating the tortillas at the restaurant and not taking them to go, they don't reheat well. Overall, we liked our food and the employees were friendly too.

Yelp
We were greeted with a friendly smile and were seated immediately (as a family of 5). The froze Rita was delicious --happy hour is now everyday from 3pm-6pm. We tried the queso fundido and me and my partner both agreed it was the best corn tortilla we've ever tasted. Finally, our food came promptly and was worth the cost of the meal. We would come back.

Yelp
Large group for dinner prior to boarding a holiday lights tour bus! . Great service and warm friendly ambiance. Cadence was good overall.

Yelp
Kim H and I organized a UYE HH here tonight, and it worked out nicely. I came in a bit earlier to get us a table for 8 people as this place does not take reservations. Waitress gave me a few options to choose from, and she did offer up the prime real estate 10 top that was a high table right in the middle of the restaurant with good views. I think that was a really nice spot, so took that one for us. Everyone started to trickle in, and we ended up having a party of 10, which was wonderful. HH is from 3-6pm and a bit limited in their offerings but would say the ambiance is really nice and worth it to come here for a few drinks, munch on appetizers and have some fun with good company. The chips, salsa, and guacamole were good, but nothing earth shattering. I had the fuego margarita, and that was good! I've really slowed down on drinking and haven't had much alcohol in months, but tonight, because of friends, I was in a celebratory mood. I had a bite of the pozole, and that was tasty! Waitress was nice about separate checks for everyone, but was pretty strict that we couldn't move around in our chairs as each seat assigned to a number. Place was packed for dinner here, so this is well known spot. I'd definitely come back for another meal and check out other items on the menu!

Yelp
I met a bunch of new and familiar Yelpers for Happy Hour at Ghost Ranch. Nice decor inside. I ordered the Southwest Eggrolls; a combination of grilled chicken, onion, black beans, cheese, roasted corn & Serrano avocado ranch. The rolls were especially good with the avocado blend on it. If not for that, the rolls would have needed something. Other dishes ordered were pozole, enchiladas, and burger. A nice eve of laughter and chatter. Somewhat noisy in there though. Shared parking lot. Thanks to Kim & Vivian for organizing this event!
google avatar

Yelp
Great chilaquiles with tasty pork, sauce, fresh vegetables, tortilla chips and salsa with eggs! Friendly and quick service in a nice layout of tables and bar space. Lavender latte martini was a perfect complement to the generous portion of food!
google avatar

O'Zandra F.

Yelp
The atmosphere was nice, but the ghost of flavoring made for a bland meal. I tried the egg rolls and the shrimp ceviche. Neither intrigued my palate. Accessible parking and entrance. The parking lot fills quickly during peak hours. Staff find it difficult to manage a party of ten.
google avatar

Yelp
So I hate to update my review. Ultimately it is with sadness I must inform that the GREEN SALSA (literally my favorite item on the menu) is no longer good as it was recently changed. That decision honestly was a dealbreaker for me... going back again and they changed the RED SALSA as well. It tastes like water. Literally. Chicken was bland had no taste. Plus side the rice and beans were warm. Sadly it seems they are milking what used to be a great restaurant (previous chiefs success) and it shows amongst the quality on any dish.

Yelp
AI brought me here?! I was curious about the best spots in Tempe, and after asking ChatGPT, Ghost Ranch popped up in the top five. Seeing the glowing reviews and enticing photos, I decided to risk it all on the AI's recommendation--and wow, it did not disappoint! From the moment we walked in, my wife and I were awed by the stunning art and unique furniture. The atmosphere is truly one of a kind. We started with appetizers and then dove into the entrées, and each dish was more mouthwatering than the last. The short ribs were absolutely incredible, and my wife's platter--featuring a chile relleno, skirt steak, and three enchiladas--was a feast of bold and delicious flavors. To top it all off, the staff were genuinely kind and attentive. We left full, and satisfied after such a wonderful night. Ghost Ranch is a true gem, and I can't recommend it enough!

Yelp
Met a group for happy hour and had a good time with good food. I started with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc (not on happy hour) and ordered the southwest egg rolls. The Sauvignon blanc was ok, but it wasn't from NZ. The egg rolls were good but I was a little torn. The filling just wasn't very flavorful. It was good, but it was the avocado sauce and spices on the outside that really gave it some zip. The filling just needs some more flavor in my opinion. I also tried a house maragrita and it was tasty. I didn't have the fortitude to try one of the spicy margs. But I was told it was good too. Overall it was a good happy hour!

Yelp
What's up Everyone! Here to share another one. Ghost Ranch has been on the list for a minute, finally had a chance to swing by for brunch, overall a good spot especially for that. Check it out!! Ghost Ranch Benedict - Mixed in this one. I'm not a huge Cornbread fan, but love Eggs Benedict. So I had to try. This came loaded up on a Roasted Green Chile Cornbread, loaded up with a perfectly Poached Egg, Schriener's Chorizo, Avocado and a Chipotle Hollandaise Sauce. Really good but, haha, I wasn't diggin the Cornbread. If you love it you'll love this. Promise. Chilaquiles - Chicken in a Tomatillo Sauce, topped with Oaxaca Cheese, Crema and Sunny Side Up Eggs. IMO, you can never go wrong with this order. Super yummy. Roasted Chicken Green Enchiladas topped with Cabbage, Peppers and Crema. Delish. Chile Rellenos - Steamed Anaheim Peppers, stuffed with Mushroom Duxelle, Goat Cheese Sauce, Chianti Chile topped with Crunchy Leeks. Fire Tres Leches French Toast - The show stealer. Must order for me. 3 stacks of French Toast, topped with a Blackberry Compote, Fresh Strawberries, Whipped Layers, White Chocolate Crumbles soaked in a delicious Tres Leches Sauce. Yooooo! You have to try!! Prickly Pear Sparkler - Super good! Prickly Pear, Mint, Lemonade, Simple Syrup over Ice and Club Soda. Yooooo. Try. Dirty Horchata Overall I loved this place, vibe was dope, restaurant was nice, service was great and it was affordable. If you're in the area stop by for sure. No disappointments here. Enjoy!!

Yelp
First time here and will be coming back! Small/ cozy feeling restaurant but can definitely accommodate a large party. I'd call ahead though to make sure you can secure a spot on the day you visit. They have a bar with 2 TVs. Was able to catch the ASU game while I was there! Food was very good and I highly recommend you try the Rancho Papas. The chipotle aioli they use is delicious You can't go wrong with the cheese crisp and the green chile burger is a 10/10. Margaritas were excellent and I enjoyed the tequila old fashion the most. Great service from Mitch! Parking lot is busy during dinner and quite small in my opinion especially for bigger vehicles.
google avatar

Tracy T.

Yelp
I'll be back! Loved the ambience walking in. Came at 3pm on a Saturday. Wasn't busy. Service was excellent. Super quick and attentive. Ordered the chips, salsa, and guacamole. All were really good, although maybe just a little more salt on the chips (or maybe that's just me ). I was going to try the margarita flight, but since it was happy hour I opted for the HH Fuego Margarita instead. Yum! Just enough heat. I also had the GR Margarita with a Tahin rim and it was also delicious. I will be back for that flight tho! We ordered the Plato Vegano and Chile Relleno. Both were good, but the Chile Relleno was excellent! Highly recommend!! Overall awesome experience and I'll definitely be back for dinner again and to try brunch!
google avatar

Kassey T.

Yelp
Food and decor here is chef's kiss! They don't take reservations, and we were a party of 6, so we went in around 4:45pm to be safe in terms of avoiding a wait with a toddler. Luckily, they were able to seat us within 10 minutes but they were already packed! Inside is super cute, and the food was some of the best Mexican I've had in a while! As a table, we shared the fundido (only downside was how few tortillas came with it) and the southwest egg rolls (the avocado ranch they were served with was so yummy). For dinner, I had the sampler platter and loved all of it! I was expecting a bit more in terms of serving size for the price, but everything was delicious. I will say I was a bit jealous of everyone else's meal that came with rice, beans, cabbage slaw, and guac! I'll probably order enchiladas or a taco platter next time I visit. Only downside to the whole experience was how incredibly long it took to find parking because every business seemed to only have a few spots available (they were all labeled with the business name) and none were available for the restaurant.

Yelp
Delicious! We loved it ! Appetizers was Amazing , so tasty ! We all loved our plates and Portions are nice and big ! Very fulfilling and worth the price ! I recommend you stop and eat in this place ! Their service is great and ambience is for everyone, family friendly and great for date or hang out !
google avatar

Ruben V.

Yelp
First time. Arrived around there opening time. By the time I left the place was filling up quickly. I tried the sampler for $33 which had a skirt steak, three to different enchiladas and a chili relleno. Yummy. Waiter was great, nice place to take a date.
google avatar

Jana T.

Yelp
This is my second visit here, and both times have been fantastic! We started with the Sonoran Sunset cocktail, which was delicious and strong--just how we like it. I ordered the crispy pork tacos with a side of pozole, and both were absolutely incredible. The service was top-notch, and the place has such a cool vibe. I really hope they consider opening a Ghost Ranch in Gilbert... hint hint!
google avatar

Vanessa H.

Yelp
Great experience here on Sunday afternoon! My friend and I came in here for brunch. I ordered the green tomatillo breakfast burrito which came with chicken, beans, scrambled eggs, rice, crema, pico and oaxacan cheese -- it was massive and absolutely delicious! Lots of great flavors that harmonized so well. My friend ordered the tres leches French toast. Unfortunately it was too sweet for her. I'd be back for sure. There are several other menu items that caught my eye -- plus service was excellent!
google avatar

Yelp
Ghost Ranch is a fantastic modern Mexican spot that truly stands out! From the moment you walk in, the vibrant decor and welcoming atmosphere set the stage for a great dining experience. The blend of traditional and contemporary design elements gives it a unique vibe that's both casual and chic. The menu is creative and offers a fresh take on classic Mexican dishes. The flavors were bold and well-balanced, and you can really taste the quality of the ingredients. They also have an impressive selection of craft cocktails, and I highly recommend trying their house margarita--it's perfectly refreshing! My favorite was the corn. The service was attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Ghost Ranch has definitely made a name for itself in the local dining scene, and I can't wait to come back to explore more of their menu. If you're in the mood for modern Mexican cuisine with a twist, Ghost Ranch is the place to be!
google avatar

Sophie K.

Yelp
Food here is so good. The place is pretty spacious and modern. But I come here for food, they change their menu once in a while and this time I came for creamy chicken pasta. Grilled chicken with creamy pasta, it was so good. The sauce was good and their grilled chicken... what more can I say! And their summer grilled corn salad was so refreshing. All the ingredients were balanced, crunchy, creamy, it was so good. Can't wait to come back and also try their new menu!
google avatar

Jamie P.

Yelp
Came here for the first time with friends who had already been. The atmosphere and decor is amazing. Vibrant and welcoming. Staff was great and took our drink order as soon as we sat down. Cocktails were delicious. Per our friends recommendation we got the trio platter and the steak meal. The steak was unbelievable! Cooked to perfection at a medium rare and seasoned very well. The relleno was also a stand out bursting with southwestern flavors. We have recommended this spot to many friends since eating here and we will be back.
google avatar

Taylor M.

Yelp
Wow! We were in town for a conference and decided to go out for Mexican on night. We were not disappointed! The food was amazing! So fresh and flavorful. The staff was knowledgeable and kind. The recommendations were all spot on and we would definitely go back if we were in town again!'
google avatar

Anna M.

Yelp
My family was so excited to try Ghost Ranch, unfortunately we could not find a single parking space! We arrived at 4:30pm on a Thursday and drove around the lot for nearly 25 minutes before eventually giving up. I really wish we could have tried this place, the menu looked awesome! Perhaps the restaurant could look into more dedicated spaces for customers.
google avatar

Brent J.

Yelp
First and foremost, the staff here is always so nice and the establishment is always very clean. Fiona was incredible and had a smile on her face the whole time she waited our table. When our food came out, Alex H. recognized us from the last time we were here, about two weeks ago. Personally, I've never been a fan of poached eggs or hollandaise sauce, but the Ghost Ranch Benedict was easily hands down the best eggs Benedict I've had anywhere; not just Arizona, but across the country. The arugula salad in the middle was a great place to start full of flavor, depth and color. Presentation of the whole dish is very eye appealing. My girlfriend loves pozole and loves it here more than anywhere else. An avocado crema drizzled on top would be better than slices of avocado in the pozole. We shall be back

Yelp
Ghost Ranch is one of my family's favorite restaurants, especially when hosting out-of-town guests. We've visited for brunch, happy hour, and dinner. Each visit has been consistently wonderful, even though the restaurant tends to be busy with potential long wait times. The space is modern and inviting, perfectly matching the Southwestern-inspired decor and menu. The service is on point. We've sampled various dishes and drinks, all of which have been delicious. Among our favorites are the fuego margarita ($10), street style esquites ($11), and grilled rainbow trout ($32). We can't start our meal without street style esquites which features roasted corn, Oaxaca cheese, Mexican crema, chimayo aioli, cilantro, and tajin. So creamy and tasty. The fuego margarita is a well-balanced spicy treat. Hubs and I usually split the rainbow trout, which is served with butter-braised leeks, diced fingerling potatoes, huitlacoche, capers, crispy parsley, and lemon beurre blanc. It's a great a mix of flavors and textures and more than enough for us to share, especially when we add a side. Overall, we highly recommend Ghost Ranch for its fantastic food, drinks, and dining experience.
google avatar

Stacy F.

Yelp
Super nice waitress, nice atmosphere but kind of loud music. The Bloody Maria's are spicy and so good. The steak tacos were very bland, needed some sort of salt or steak seasoning on them. The chicken chiliquiles were very good, and full of flavor. I was a little confused why the chicken was on the bottom and the chips were piled on top but other than that, they were pretty good.
google avatar

Jaslean A.

Yelp
Great ambiance, food, and service :) no complaints! The tree leches was incredible and the portions are huge! The elote was so delicious.
google avatar

Jose M.

Yelp
My wife and I love this place!! The food has been very good to excellent every time. We've been here with friends and they've all had great experiences! Prices are reasonable and the vibe is date-like without being dimly-lit romantic. Parking can be rough on Friday and Saturday nights because of other local businesses.
google avatar

Yelp
Aztec Cake - do it. It is delicious and very filling. Recommend a split - they are totally cool with it. Service is very very good - Bailey is the one you want to- energy to share. Modern decor- but comfortable wooden 4 tops. Not a problem to enjoy an extra cocktail - highly recommend the chimaya one with black berries and Tequila (Mezcal)

Yelp
Great place for Southwest cuisine. Their HH is available daily and has a nice selection of food and drinks. I love their pozole. It's very flavorful and filling. One of my favorites to order here. Also try the Cheese Crisp! Photos below show 2 specials they had offered back in December. Hope they might add these to the main menu. Both were awesome!

Sydnee F.

Yelp
This place has amazing service and delicious food! We will be back! Super cute inside as well.

Yelp
This place is awesome. What a cool vibe and the people are so helpful and friendly, especially the bar tender Erin!

Cherie M.

Yelp
This was our first time dining at Ghost Ranch. The weekend evening wait was worth it. Food exceptional. I had the Chili Relleno. The mushrooms with the goat cheese sauce and leaks was rich and decadent. My husband hand the Sampler Platter. The skirt steak was very tender. The service and decor were comfortable and unhurried. Will definitely be one of our new favorites, especially to bring out of town guests.
google avatar

Fawne Y.

Yelp
As some other reviews have stated, some of the food was shockingly bland. This could be an off day or an issue with one of the chefs. The dish we ordered that was bland was the Mesquite Grilled Skirt Steak Taco Platter. We also got the Green Chile Burger, which was seasoned better. However, we wish the rancho papas it came with wasn't so smothered in sauce. It's a really heavy side for an already heavy burger. Parking wasn't so bad on a Sunday night, but there was an hour wait to be seated. It may be better to call ahead for a reservation. After being seated, it took another 30 minutes for us to be served at all. We weren't given any water until one of the staff finally stopped by to give us some. Then, it took another 10 minutes for our order to be taken. We didn't mind waiting as we had seen really good reviews prior and were excited for some nice food. Unfortunately, we weren't wowed enough to want to come back :( The decor inside Ghost Ranch is really cute! But it was hard to enjoy the ambiance as well due to some of the other patrons. A table nearby us had a lot of screaming and table slamming going on. It's great they were having fun, but it was not the kind of crowd we were expecting for a nice dinner out. Overall, we were really disappointed with the food and service at Ghost Ranch. I was originally excited to come back for their brunch menu, but we do not think we will be back.

Yelp
Visited on a Friday, just in time for the 6pm happy hour cutoff. Despite a 20-25 minute wait (no reservations accepted), the start was almost glitch-free. A helpful male host assured us our table was next. However, a slight hiccup ensued when the female host almost gave our table away to customers behind us. Management could use a tweak here to ensure smoother beginnings. Making the most of our wait, we perused the menu. Once seated, we kicked off with Ghost Ranch Margaritas (smaller than usual but tasty) and the Spicy Sandia. The Street Style Esquites starter, surrounded by tortilla chips, looked impressive. While the Oaxaca cheese and a need for more Tajin held it back, it still fell short of top-notch. The Sampler Platter from the Wood Fired Grill stole the show. Skirt steak cooked to perfection, flavorful sauce, and enchiladas bursting with unique flavors. Even the chile relleno was a tasty addition. However, the Chimayo Chile Braised Pork seemed bland post-Sampler Platter explosion. A modern twist could elevate this dish. The side of veggies missed the mark with a burnt broccoli taste. Unfortunately, everything arrived simultaneously, making the taco dish lukewarm by the time we got to it. Despite this, the concept won us over. The ambiance, though noisy, exuded warmth and trendiness. Our server was good, but due to the bustling atmosphere, we had to seek help from other staff. Parking was easy for those who enjoy a bit of a walk. *All most forgot this, they need an authentic hot sauce, something like an in-house habanero sauce. In conclusion, definitely worth a visit. I'll be back for more. Cheers!

Yelp
We've eaten here several times and the food can be great but we found it inconsistent. It's expensive. Nice ambiance and good service.

Yelp
Food and service was awesome! We went for my mom's birthday and enjoyed a delicious meal. Portions were large, everything was filled with flavors and the steak/short rib were cooked to perfection! Natalie was our server and she was super attentive and helpful! She's a 10 out of 10!!

Yelp
We dined here for a girls night and had the best time and the most amazing service! The wait was long! On a Friday night we waited over an hour but it was worth it. Our food was delicious, we all ordered different dishes and were all pleased with our orders. I ordered the Beef short rib; I'll be dreaming about this smoky spicy sauce with the smooth polenta. This was incredible. The chips and guacamole were epic, the salsas were pretty good! We all shared the churro ice cream sandwich dessert and agreed it's probably the best churro we've ever had. The ambiance of Ghost Ranch is so cool! It's such a vibe. Come early, parking is tight and hard to find. But it's an amazing dining experience that I highly recommend! Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Met up with some friends for dinner during the week. There's a decently sized parking lot, but depending on the night, it can fill up quite quickly, so just keep that in mind. I had heard good things about Ghost Ranch, so I was excited. I got the braised pork enchiladas, but thought they were just ok. This wouldn't be my top choice for a meal, but I wouldn't mind going here with a friend/group if that's where they wanted to go.
